Ekin-Su Culculoglu hit with backlash as she yelps on plane after Air India 171 tragedy

Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has received calls to delete her post after she shared a clip from inside a plane just hours after 241 people died in the Air India crash

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has been urged to delete her social media post following the tragic Air India crash. The Love Island star, 30, shared a video to her Instagram story hours after it was confirmed that 241 of the 242 people on board sadly died in the horrifying crash near Ahmedabad Airport in western India.

She shared a short clip from inside a plane as she filmed herself looking into the camera. Ekin-Su shook her head and let out a yelp as she wrote over the video: “I hate HATE turbulence!”

Her fans urged her to remove the post from her social media as one said: “Girl you need to delete your recent story asap.” It comes after both TOWIE’s Mark Wright and McFly star Tom Fletcher both deleted posts and issued apologies following the crash.

Mark and his wife Michelle Keegan had been sharing content on Instagram from their holiday to Spain lately with three-month-old baby Palma. The reality star shared a photo of the trio in front of a private jet at an airport where he teased over having limited leg room on standard flights in the post.

He had written: “1 day babe, for now we’ll take row 26 with no extra leg room.” After being hit with backlash, he has since apologised for the “mistake,” telling fans that he had scheduled the post, which has now been deleted, in advance. He said it had been a “horrendous coincidence”.

Mark wrote: “I apologise for a post I just put up on my page after today’s heartbreaking events. I have posts from a holiday that are on the scheduled setting, which go out on future days I have set them for, which was done last week.”

The dad-of-one continued the statement by saying that it was a “coincidence” that it had gone out on the same day as the Air India crash. He told fans that as soon as he realised what had happened, he “immediately” deleted the post.

“It’s a horrendous coincidence that today’s post was on such a devastating day. Once I logged in to my Instagram and realised the post had gone out, I immediately deleted [it],” he said.

The former TOWIE star concluded by expressing sympathy with anyone affected by the plane crash. He wrote: “My heart goes out to everyone who has been effected from today. I’m sorry for this mistake and any offence caused.”

Meanwhile, McFly’s Tom issued an apology after he had shared a post about planes to his Instagram story before later deleting it after reading the news. He wrote: “Sorry, I’ve only just seen the terrible news about the Air India crash.”

In a post to apologise on Instagram, he added: “So awful. Had I known earlier, I obviously wouldn’t have posted about my flight today. I understand why that much have looked insensitive and have deleted it. Thanks for letting me know. My whole heart goes out to everyone involved in the crash and all their friends & families.”

Kerry Katona ‘finds love on Celebs Go Dating with muscular toyboy’

Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, 44, confirmed her break-up from Ryan Mahoney, 36, in November last year but it’s claimed she’s now found love again

Kerry Katona found love on Celebs Go Dating after heartbreak as age gap revealed

Kerry Katona had reportedly found love on Celebs Go Dating after her split from ex Ryan Mahoney last year. The former Atomic Kitten singer, 44, confirmed her break-up from Ryan, 36, in November last year. He then moved out of their shared house, bringing to an end their six-year romance.

After her split, she enjoyed a holiday in Thailand, where she said she had experienced a “real spiritual awakening”. She recently said about her single life: “I’m not heartbroken anymore and feel like I know that Ryan wasn’t the one for me.” And now, it has been reported she has moved on with a personal trainer, Paolo Margaglione.

Kerry has reportedly found a new love

According to reports, Paolo is 33 and “neither of them is bothered by the age-gap”

“Kerry looks better than most women half her age at the moment, and is young at heart,” a source told The Sun. “Paolo thinks she’s super sexy and has told all his mates that he is the lucky one. “Meanwhile, Kerry loves the fact that she has a younger man again.” The Mirror have reached out to Kerry’s reps for comment.

According to his social media page, Paolo is a father of two who works as an online personal trainer.

After her holiday in Thailand, Kerry revealed to New Magazine: “I’m now working on creating my own relaxation package here at The Beach Samui Hotel, where people will be able to book a week-long holiday.

“I’m a single woman and am in the best relationship of my life, which is with myself. I know people do things like dry January and diets, but I don’t drink much anyway and like to work on myself every day, so I’m not into any of that.”

Earlier in the year, Kerry hinted that the split wasn’t just due to a ‘breach of trust’ as she seemingly revealed there to be more behind their decision.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a cryptic video, stating that people shouldn’t settle for another individual who makes you “guess where you stand with them.” The TikTok clip, originally posted by American date and relationship coach Natalie Bell, hints at relationships being one sided.

In the clip, Natalie said: “I hope you never settle for somebody who makes you guess where you stand with them. I hope you find somebody who never makes you question your worth, or wonder if you’re asking for too much, and who never makes you feel like they’re half in, half out.

“I hope you find somebody whose actions are match up with their words. Who makes you feel like love isn’t just a guessing game or a battle? You have to continue to fight to be chosen. I hope they not only treasure you when things are going well, and it’s easy to love each other. I hope they choose to charter you even when life gets hard.

“I hope you get to be with somebody who makes you feel like you’re their favourite thing. I hope you never have to sit awake at night overanalysing, overthinking, and ruminating over something that they said.”

UN officials urge Israel, Iran to show ‘restraint’ at emergency meeting

Israel’s aerial assault on Iran has destroyed the above-ground enrichment plant at Natanz, where there is now “contamination”, according to Rafael Grossi, chief of the United Nations nuclear watchdog.

Grossi delivered the update during an emergency UN Security Council meeting in New York on Friday, where he and other senior UN officials urged both Israel and Iran to show restraint to prevent a deeper regional conflict.

“I have repeatedly stated that nuclear facilities should never be attacked regardless of the context or circumstances, as it could harm both people and the environment,” said Grossi, who heads the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

He reported radiological and chemical contamination inside the Natanz facility, where Iran was producing uranium enriched up to 60 percent. However, he added that the contamination is “manageable with appropriate measures”, and said the IAEA is ready to send nuclear security experts to help secure the sites if requested.

“I call on all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid further escalation,” he added.

UN Undersecretary-General for Political Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo also urged both sides to show “maximum restraint at this critical moment”.

“A peaceful resolution through negotiations remains the best means to ensure the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear programme,” she told the council. “We must at all costs avoid a growing conflagration which would have enormous global consequences.”

Israeli ‘declaration of war’

The 15-member Security Council, also joined by representatives of Israel and Iran, met at Iran’s request after Israel struck several Iranian nuclear facilities and military sites in the early hours of Friday, and carried out assassinations of senior military officials and nuclear scientists.

Iran’s UN Envoy Amir Saeid Iravani told the emergency meeting that the attacks, which he described as a “declaration of war” and “a direct assault on international order”, had killed 78 people and injured more than 320.

He accused the US of providing Israel with both intelligence and political support for the attacks, the consequences of which he said it “shares full responsibility” for.

“Supporting Israel today is supporting war crimes,” he said.

The US representative, McCoy Pitt, insisted the US was not involved militarily in the strikes, but defended them as necessary for the self-defence of Israel.

He warned that the “consequences for Iran would be dire” if it targeted US bases or citizens in retaliation. “Iran’s leadership would be wise to negotiate at this time,” he said.

‘How long did the world expect us to wait?’

Israel’s UN envoy Danny Danon cast its attack on Iran’s nuclear sites as “an act of national preservation”, claiming Iran was days away from producing enough fissile material for multiple bombs.

“This operation was carried out because the alternative was unthinkable,” said Danon. “How long did the world expect us to wait? Until they assemble the bomb? Until they mount it on a Shahab missile? Until it is en route to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem?”

“We will not hesitate, we will not relent, and we will not allow a genocidal regime to endanger our people,” said Danon

An Iranian counterattack on Israel took place while the UN meeting was in progress, with Iran firing waves of ballistic missiles at Israeli targets.

“Iran affirms its inherent right to self-defence,” said Iran’s Iravani, promising to respond “decisively and proportionately” against Israel.

“This is not a threat, this is the natural, legal and necessary consequence of an unprovoked military act,” he said.

Vassily Nebenzia, Russia’s UN ambassador, told the council Israel’s actions in the Middle East are “pushing the region to a large-scale nuclear catastrophe”.

Runaway T20 Blast North Group leaders Northamptonshire suffered their first defeat of the season in the competition as Lancashire narrowed the gap at the top on Friday night.

The table-topping Steelbacks were edged out by 15 runs at home to Durham with Kiwi all-rounder Jimmy Neesham hitting an unbeaten half-century for the visitors before picking up 3-29 with the ball.

James Anderson took three wickets as second-placed Lancashire thumped Worcestershire by seven wickets at New Road.

Birmingham Bears overcame Yorkshire by 32 runs at Headingley for their fourth successive win and seventh straight against the White Rose.

Samit Patel returned to haunt his former team Notts Outlaws, taking 3-14 as Derbyshire picked up their first win of the campaign with a 46-run victory at Trent Bridge.

South Group leaders Somerset made it five wins from five with a six-wicket derby victory at Gloucestershire to avenge last season’s defeat in the final, with Lewis Goldsworthy claiming a career-best 4-13 as the defending champions remained point-less.

Elsewhere, Middlesex snatched a last-ball tie against Hampshire in a rain-shortened six-over slog at Southampton, while Essex were denied the chance of a first Blast win of the summer as their clash at Sussex was abandoned.

North Group leaders Northants saw their perfect start ended by Durham as Neesham made an unbeaten 50 from 34 balls batting at seven against his former club, though his new side were restricted to a modest 157-8.

The Steelbacks were 96-3 in reply after 13 overs, with Matthew Breetzke making 41, but they added only 46 runs for the loss of five wickets from the final seven as third-placed Durham closed the gap on the leaders to 12 points with two games in hand.

Lancashire are eight points behind Northants in second after a convincing win at Worcestershire, having bowled the hosts out for 143.

Only Gareth Roderick (35 from 28 balls) resisted for long as the innings failed to recover from early damage inflicted by Anderson (3-32) and Luke Wood (3-34) with the Rapids slumping to 46-5 as early as the seventh over.

Lightning reeled in the target with 15 balls to spare, with Keaton Jennings making 42 while Liam Livingstone finished off the chase with 41 not out from 22 balls including four monster sixes.

At Headingley, all-rounder Ed Barnard’s 67 from 40 balls was the cornerstone of Bears‘ 205-8 before late fireworks from George Garton, Hasan Ali and Danny Briggs saw 76 added in the final five overs.

Garton dropped Yorkshire skipper Dawid Malan in the deep off Briggs on 29, but the spinner eventually got his man for 65 – and Malan’s fourth straight half-century was in vain as the home side lost for the fourth time in six games, posting 173-5.

Evergreen spinner Patel inspired Derbyshire Falcons to their first Blast victory at Trent Bridge since 2013 and consigned Notts to a third straight home defeat as they finished on 153-9 when chasing a target of 200.

In the South Group, Gloucestershire posted a disappointing 135-7 at Bristol, skipper Jack Taylor top-scoring with 43 not out from 29 balls and Goldsworthy taking three wickets in an over.

Will Smeed scored 51 not out as Somerset triumphed on 137-4 with 14 balls to spare to move six points ahead of nearest rivals Hampshire and Sussex.

Debutant Lhuan-dre Pretorius made 44 from 22 balls as Hampshire’s innings was restricted to six overs by the weather, closing at 63-1.

With a DLS target of 76 to win from six overs, Chris Wood sent down a maiden to start the Middlesex reply, but Max Holden clobbered 38 from 18 balls before Ben Geddes hit 10 from the final five deliveries, scampering a single to ensure a tie.

Essex’s hopes of claiming their first win were thwarted by the rain when they were well on top against Sussex at Hove.

In a game reduced to 17 overs per side, Jordan Cox hit four successive sixes off spinner Jack Carson in a 47-ball 82 in an imposing total of 177-4.

Brooklyn Beckham brutally snubs dad David as he’s finally given knighthood

Brooklyn Beckham has brutally snubbed his father David Beckham after the football icon was knighted in The King’s Birthday Honours List. David, who recently celebrated his 50th birthday without his eldest son in attendance, officially became a Sir, and his wife Victoria is now a Lady.

While many of his family are known to celebrate their loved ones achievements, David’s eldest son, Brooklyn, was nowhere to be seen on social media, adding fuel to the already blazing fire that the family are in the midst of a turbulent time. Taking to Instagram, the wannabe chef shared three packets of pretzel pita chips following the news that David was being made a Sir by His Majesty.

According to sources, David never told Brooklyn about his accolade and the former aspiring chef learned about the achievement through the media.

A source for Brooklyn told Page Six he was thrilled his dad was finally receiving the honour, while a source quoted as someone close to his parents told the publication: “Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he’s not responding to those that try to connect.”

David’s knighthood comes soon after he was snapped attending a Royal event this week, hosted by King Charles himself.

The footballer was snapped attending the King’s Foundation Awards ceremony at St James’ Palace in London – before the official announcement of his long-awaited knighthood.

He looked dapper in a navy blue double breasted blazer, striped blue shirt and a grey tie for the lavish event.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn, 26, who is married to socialite Nicola Peltz Beckham, has been embroiled in a feud within the Beckham family. It was noted how the couple were missing from Victoria’s birthday party in April and David’s 50th birthday milestone in May.

It was later reported that the hot sauce enthusiast told his famous parents he ‘wants no contact’ with them. Sources close to Brooklyn told Page Six that he was thrilled his dad was finally receiving the honour and had known it was so important.

However, a separate source close to the Beckhams told the publication: “Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he’s not responding to those that try to connect.”

Yet a separate Brooklyn source denied the claim, saying: “This seems to be another deliberate attempt to misrepresent the truth, and it only serves to distract from this honour being bestowed on Brooklyn’s father.”
