Trump imposes 100% tariffs on US-produced movies and those that are produced abroad.
California, the birthplace of the film industry in America, has fallen behind in recent years to become the sixth-most preferred location for film production and production.
Hollywood producers are drawn to the city centers in Canada, the UK, Central Europe, and New Zealand as a result of a variety of financial advantages.
Donald Trump, the president of the United States, claims he wants to “make movies in America, again” to reverse this trend.
And he’s doing it with the stick.
Trump has imposed 100 percent tariffs on American films and those imported from abroad.
Hollywood and the European film industry have been tense by the decision.
How will the tariffs be put into effect, then? Will a movie that was made outside the US be punished?
What about streaming-based content like movies? And how will the global movie industry be impacted by the tariffs?

Pete Wicks has revealed he may have to undergo surgery following a re-emerging condition from his childhood. The TOWIE star opened up on his condition in a chat with pal Sam Thompson on their podcast, Staying Relevant.
Pete, 37, explained how he struggled with his vision as a child. He revealed that despite seeking treatment on the condition previously, it has since began to return. And he admitted it was former Love Island star Olivia Attwood that noticed its return.
Pete told Sam that he once used an eye patch to help with the problem. He continued, “I might need to return to wearing an eye patch.” Here, I’m going to be completely honest.

“I used to be called Pirate Pete, it’s a weird nickname, but actually it was my mum that first called me that when I was a kid because I had a lazy eye when I used to get tired.”
Sam was giggling at Sam’s revelation, but Pete continued, “So I had this eye patch to try to correct it, which it did, so that was great. As I get older, the bad eye is returning; it’s going for a walk.

When Sam asked Pete what his plans were for the situation, he replied, “I need to go see an eye specialist to see whether we can retrain it or whether I’m going to have some kind of surgery.”
Pete continued by revealing Olivia’s involvement in the problem’s recovery and urging him to seek medical attention. He claimed that “I’ve started to notice.”
“Liv was the one who f***ing noticed it,” she said. Liv was the one who made the comment at the time.
Sam continued, “Well great, I’m glad I don’t feel conscious about it, I don’t think I’m any good about it,” adding that he did believe Pete’s eye was “getting quite bad” before jumping in. Then it was revealed that a specialist appointment had been scheduled for a few weeks.
Pete is said to be dating again following his split from Maura Higgins. It’s speculated he has found a new romantic interest in former Love Island star Samantha Kenny. The 27-year-old was a contestant on season 11 of the reality dating show in the summer of 2024 but was dumped from the island just over two weeks after she entered the villa.
According to a source, Pete and Samantha have gone on a few dates and really hit it off with the duo, according to The Sun, who claims the pair have enjoyed a number of dates together.

Timothée Chalamet is reportedly set to play a secret set at Glastonbury 2025 following his incredible performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.
Timothée, 29, gained notoriety for his performance in the music icon’s iconic shoes after entering the critically acclaimed biopic that won an Oscars season and for singing Dylan’s classics without lip-syncing.
Now, rumors suggest Chalamet will be bringing that same unreleased vocal energy to Glastonbury in 2025, specifically to an already-exploited set.

According to The Sun, Chalamet is scheduled to play with the Dylan-inspired ensemble Not Completely Unknown on Saturday, June 28.
The band’s listing on Glastonbury’s official website makes reference to “special guests,” which further aggravates the whispers.

If it occurs, Chalamet will be the first artist to perform his Dylan interpretations live in a real concert setting other than movie promotion.
He and James Blake had a small group of songs on Saturday Night Live earlier this year, and they kicked things off with a full-band rendition of “Outlaw Blues” from the 1965 film Bringing It All Back Home.
He then performed Blake and Blake’s rendition of “Tomorrow Is A Long Time” from New Morning (1970), and he then wrapped up the set with a stripped-back acoustic rendition of “Tomorrow Is a Long Time.”

The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo are among the notable artists performing at Glastonbury this year.
Back in March, organisers confirmed their huge 2025 line-up. It came just hours after social media sleuths managed to find out who was performing and leak an unofficial poster.
Later this year, 210,000 music lovers will head to Worthy Farm in Somerset for five days, taking in all of the music as well as everything the festival site has to offer. This year, bosses have confirmed that Glastonbury will run from June 25 to June 29.
This year, tickets for Glastonbury sold out in just 35 minutes, despite nobody knowing who was performing.
According to bosses, the festival will take a break for a fallow year next year, making 2025 a memorable year for festivalgoers.

This year, The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo will headline. Meanwhile, Sir Rod Stewart will play the legends slot, and was the first name to be announced as part of the huge line-up. Sir Rod follows in the footsteps of the likes of Shania Twain, Kylie Minogue and Diana Ross.
Previous names that had been speculated for Glastonbury included the likes of Rihanna, Basement Jaxx, Chappel Roan and Stevie Wonder. Organisers had already announced back in January that Neil would headline the Pyramid Stage.

He had previously said that he had pulled out of the festival, which he described as a “corporate turn-off”. Days later though, Neil said that he would perform at Glastonbury, saying there had been “an error in the information received,” and his involvement was also confirmed by organisers around the same time.
