Holland back in Wales squad after Euros scare

Two months after rumors that Liverpool forward Ceri Holland might not play for Euro 2025, she has been chosen to play for Wales in the final Nations League group games.

Rhian Wilkinson has named a 26-person squad for the crucial League A games against Denmark on May 30 in Odense and Italy in Swansea four days later.

The winger was taken off on a stretcher in April’s 2-1 defeat to Denmark by Wales, but scans revealed she had a leg injury that wasn’t as serious as initially anticipated. She then returned to Liverpool later that month.

The news was a great relief for the Welsh team, which is gearing up for their first major women’s tournament against the Netherlands on July 5 in Lucerne, Switzerland, despite the player’s incense coming off the pitch.

For the upcoming Nations League games, Kayleigh Barton and record-holder Jess Fishlock have both made a return to Wilkinson’s squad.

Similar to Holland, 38-year-old Fishlock, who is in line to win the 161st cap, was a late injury drop for Sweden’s 1-1 draw. Additionally, Barton, 37, was unable to travel to the country or play for Denmark in Cardiff four days prior.

However, seasoned goalkeeper Laura O’Sullivan-Jones is sidelined for Euro 2025 due to an ACL injury.

Soffia Kelly, 18, one of three uncapped teenagers, along with fellow stopper Poppy Soper and Bristol City forward Tianna Teisar, has been called up in her place.

Mared Griffiths, a former Manchester United player of 18 years old, is also a part of the team.

This Morning’s Cat Deeley goes bare legged in high street mini dress that looks expensive

The ITV presenter flashed her pins in a River Island mini-dress that would be a bargain for the money for designer labels.

When it comes to personal style, This Morning’s Cat Deeley has honed a seriously chic and distinctive wardrobe throughout her decades on TV. Each week, her outfits never fail to turn heads, and this week is no different, with the presenter stepping out in a stunning butter yellow mini dress that ticks all the summer 2025 trend boxes.

The 48-year-old frequently chooses premium brands, including a £410 Farm Rio dress and a £299 pair of Massimo Dutti pants. We can safely say that when the mother-of-two wears a little more affordable high street clothing, we are excited.

On Monday, the presenter looked summer-ready in a Yellow Bow Embellished Mini Dress. While it may look designer, slotting in effortlessly with Cat’s high end wardrobe, the dress is actually from high-street favourite River Island, and comes in at £75 – much more purse friendly than some of the This Morning host’s former ensembles.

The dress is ideal for styling in warm weather because of its round neckline and sleeveless design. For a sophisticated and pricey outfit, it has feminine bow detailing on the back and rhinestone embellishments on the skirt.

Truth be told, it took us a little longer than usual to uncover Cat’s look, and that’s because we were convinced it was a co-ord. The figure-skimming shift dress is cut to look like a top and skirt, which actually might have actually been even better, as it would have made them more wearable as separates.

Cat let the statement dress do the talking, using only basic accessories, including a metallic pair of barely-there heels. A pair of elevated ballet flats would look just as dreamy for those looking for a more secluded, daytime vibe.

The lower part of the dress is strikingly similar to a previous season Zara skirt, proving this is a style that will stay in fashion for seasons to come. But what we love in particular about the River Island number is that it’s in what is widely considered to be the colour of the year – butter yellow. The hue has been absolutely everywhere this year, and we’re certainly not mad about it.

The dress comes in sizes 6-18, though after being spied on the presenter, it’s quickly selling out. It does, however, come in petite, which is great news for those 5’3” and under, or anyone who doesn’t mind a slightly shorter hemline. Anyone not keen on the yellow might instead be interested in the black or white version of the frock, the latter of which is perfect for hen parties or bridal showers.

Harvey Weinstein sobs as he admits ‘making a pass at Gwyneth Paltrow’

While making a pass at Gwyneth Paltrow, Harvey Weinstein insisted that he didn’t touch her while she was being sexually harassed, as some have claimed.

Harvey Weinstein admits to “making a pass” at Gwyneth Paltrow, but denies ever having sex with her. The actress had previously claimed that the vile movie mogul sexually harassed her when she was just 22.

The 73-year-old Hollywood executive has since addressed the allegations from behind bars. After being found guilty of rape and sexual assault in 2020, Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence. He is currently being held in Rikers Island Prison.

He has since acknowledged the accusations made against him by both Gwyneth and Rose McGowan, both of whom have accused him of oral rape in an unprecedented interview.

Weinstein claimed that he did not commit the crimes. He continued, “I swear that before God and the people watching now and on my family,” in a trailer for an interview with US broadcaster Candace Owens.

He touched on Gwyneth, Rose, and Ashley Judd, two of his alleged victims. He responded to the allegations made about Gwyneth by saying, “I definitely made a pass,” before claiming that the allegations had been made up. He claimed that “my relationship with Gwyneth is a complete fabrication.” I avoided touching her with my hands. I avoided touching her.

Gwyneth claims that she was sexually harassed by Weinstein in his hotel room after being cast in his 1996 movie, Emma. She said: “It was weird. I was alone in a room with him. It was out of the blue. I was blindsided. I was shocked.” Gwyneth claims Weinstein appeared in a bathrobe before asking if he could give her a massage, or if she could watch him shower.

Ross also claimed that Weinstein sexually raped her after being cast in Scream in 1997. Weinstein stated in an interview that the allegations were resolved by Rose McGowan. Don’t tell my wife, don’t cause me any trouble, I gave her $100, 000. It’s all condensed, and it’s believed that I’ll be the victim of their persecution.

Harvey cried as he explained that the allegations against him had “broken” him during the interview. He said, “They broke me, they broke me in half.” In an effort to clear his name, he explained that he had demanded that a lie detector be imprisoned.

“I know they’re not admissible, but I want the world to know,” he said. Sixty women have since come forward and made allegations against him. He was convicted of various sexual offences in both New York and California.

After a ruling by an appeals court ruling that his New York trial had been tarnished by prejudicial testimony, which resulted in the overturn of his conviction, he is currently facing a second trial. He pleaded not guilty to all of the allegations and asserted that he had never been sexually assaulted or raped.

The jury, which was mostly made up of mostly women, was told by defense attorney Arthur Aidala, “The casting couch is not a crime scene.”

Hughes to stay as Carlisle boss in National League

Following their transition from League Two to the National League, Carlisle United manager Mark Hughes will remain with the organization.

With Carlisle still five points off safety and 18 games to go, Hughes took over at Brunton Park in February.

However, the former Wales, Manchester City, and Fulham manager was unable to control the league, so they were ultimately relegated in their season-ending defeat at Cheltenham Town.

“I’ve been extremely grateful to the fans since I started playing back in February,” Hughes said on the club website.

Chairman Tom Piatak continued, “Mark brought the squad together in the final stretch of the season and gave us a fighting chance.”

We are confident in his ability to lead us forward because of his leadership, composure, and connection with the players.

In spite of their relegation, Hughes’ men’s side regained momentum for the end-of-season run-in, winning three games in a row for the first time in more than two years. They only lost once at home during his presidency.

Bairstow to replace Jacks at Mumbai Indians

If the Mumbai Indians advance to the play-off rounds of the Indian Premier League, England wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow will take their place in the team’s starting lineup.

The one-day series against the West Indies, which begins on May 29 and continues in England, is expected to feature Jacks.

Due to political unrest between India and Pakistan, the IPL had to be postponed, and the tournament’s rescheduling caused it to clash with England’s series.

The play-offs will begin on May 29 and the IPL will resume on Saturday, June 3rd, with the final game being on June 3.

With only two games left in the league phase, the Mumbai Indians are in the fourth and final round of qualifying.

In place of South African duo Ryan Rickelton and Corbin Bosch, who are both departing for international duty with their nation before the play-offs, they have also added English bowler Richard Gleeson and Sri Lanka all-rounder Charith Asalanka.

In an IPL statement, it was announced that Yorkshire player Bairstow, 35, would purchase 5.25 crore Indian rupees (£458, 000), while Lancashire’s Gleeson would purchase 1 crore Indian rupees (£87, 000).

According to Yorkshire, depending on how far Mumbai Indians advance, Bairstow will miss their next County Championship game against Nottinghamshire and two Vitality Blast games.

The opportunity for Jonny to play in the final stages of his career is “disgusted,” said Yorkshire general manager of cricket Gavin Hamilton, “whilst it is naturally disappointing to lose him for the next few weeks.”

We’ve spoken to Jonny about his desire to play in the IPL from the beginning, and we want to wish him the best of luck in the upcoming weeks.
