A Coronation Street legend looks out of this world in a brand new snap 27 years after leaving the soap. Chloe Newsome, who was best known for being the second actress to play Vicky McDonald, was on the long-running soap for seven years before leaving the cobbles in 1998.
She steered clear of the spotlight after her departure and only showed up for small roles in 2005’s The Jealous God and 2011’s Lost Christmas. In 1998, the same year she left the show, she also appeared in police procedural series, The Bill, as Jacky Marsh and The Life and Crimes of William Palmer as Eliza Tharm.

She reprised her role in Corrie as Vicky and became the show’s daughter as Alec Gilroy. Steve McDonald’s first wife, Vicky, and he fell in love with him.
She was raised by her parents, Alex and Bet, and when she turned 18 she inherited a quarter of a million pounds. However, her husband misplaced her money and left it all on stolen whiskey, causing a marriage avers.
She called Bet to request a loan shortly after she left the show, and it was reported that she moved to Brighton to open her own wine bar. However, due to financial difficulties, she called the host to ask for a loan.

Vicky was mentioned in 2002 when it became clear that she was happily married to a man named Martin. The Vicky actress looked content as she posed for a photo while holding a roller blade in her shoulder in a recent photo.
In a pink skirt and a striped top with a leopard-print cardigan, she looked out of place. She added a layer of fluffy gilet to keep her warm.
Chloe has appeared in Twelfth Night, Othello, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but primarily concentrates on stage work over the past ten years.
Meanwhile, her on screen husband Steve (played by Simon Gregson) is currently in one of the lowest points of his life after his wife Michelle Connor (Paula Lane) learned he’s fathered a baby with her pal Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson)
Simon has been Steve on the program since 1989, but he took a vacation in 2015 for “personal reasons.” One year later, he quickly returned and hasn’t stopped there.
Corrie star Simon recently sparked concern over his marriage after seemingly ditching his wedding ring. The actor has been married to wife Emma for 14 years.
Simon fuelled split rumours earlier this year when a tax report regarding his finances said the star and his “estranged” wife, had three years to pay back debt from their production company’s account.

And he’s now got his tongues wagging once more after running errands without his wedding band after being spotted without Emma’s last month.

Rebecca Adlington, a gold medalist at the Olympics, has experienced a lot of joy and heartache both in the pool and in the studio. The Mirror examines the athele’s life now that she has been given a life-changing illness.
Inside Rebecca Adlington’s home life from divorce and co-parenting to life-changing disease(Image: Instagram)
Rebecca Adlington, an Olympian, has had a lot of heartache in her private life despite her career’s incredible success and recent setback to her health.
The BBC Sports presenter and Olympic gold medallist has revealed she was diagnosed with coeliac disease in a new video shared on Coeliac UK’s Instagram page. The 36-year-old Olympic swimmer talked about her recent diagnosis before asking followers to sign a petition for gluten-free prescriptions.
If you consume gluten, your immune system attacks your own tissues, causing damage to your small intestine and prevents your body from absorbing nutrients properly. Bloating, indigestion, constipation, fatigue, and diarrhoea are symptoms that include stomachaches. Pasta, cakes, cereals, most bread varieties, some sauces, breakfast cereals, and other foods contain gluten.
Hello everyone, Rebecca said in the video. I’ve been quickly taught how crucial gluten-free prescriptions are for managing coeliac disease as someone who has just been diagnosed with the condition.
However, some regions are completely eliminating these prescriptions. Please sign and share the petition today as Coeliac UK is handing a petition to Number 10 to ensure our voices are heard.
Miscarriage heartache
Rebecca has sadly suffered two miscarriages (Image: Instagram/beckadlington)
Rebecca has had coeliac disease, but other life-changing health issues have also occurred. Rebecca shared her heartache over the tragic passing of her stillborn daughter last year.
In response to her third child, Harper was still born in 2023 at 20 weeks, and she admitted to “hating]her] body.”
I had to accept it very hard. I’m very logical, so I was interested in finding out why this had occurred, but the post-mortem [in May] revealed that sometimes events just happen. She told The Sunday Times, “I have to accept that somehow and stop worrying about it.”
At 20 weeks, Rebecca and her husband Andy Parsons received devastating news about their baby’s passing during a routine ultrasound. After the scan, Rebecca shared the heartbreaking news with her fans on Instagram, saying, “I don’t really have the words right now, but unfortunately we went for our 20-week scan this week and they found no heartbeat.
Harper and I gave birth on Friday at 7 o’clock.” We spent time with her while we were holding her. We will always remember her and be forever in our hearts. Following a previous miscarriage that Rebecca had revealed in August of this year, Rebecca made the news.
Divorce
Rebecca and Harry split in 2016(Image: PA WIRE)
Harry Needs and Rebecca tied the knot in 2014, but they split after only 18 months of dating. Harry admitted to telling Rebecca about his sexuality a year before making the decision to share his life-changing news in 2020 and claimed he had come out as bisexual.
After he appeared to her a year after their separation, Rebecca allegedly had a very supportive relationship with him. He continued, “I never felt like I deceived her because I loved her and, as I’ve already said, I never had the opportunity to discover my true selves.”
After previously admitting to having “a lot of arguments” as parents of Summer’s daughter, the former couple called time on their union. Five years after their initial encounter as young professional swimmers, the couple tied the knot in Venice in August 2014.
Although their marriage only lasted a year and a half, Rebecca confirmed the split was “amicable” in a statement posted on her website. We confirm our separation, she said, “after much thought and sadness.” We continue to be close friends despite the amicable terms. Our main priority and commitment is to raise our gorgeous daughter Summer, and we respect one another as we move forward.
After Rebecca openly expressing her concerns for new mothers, Rebecca admitted that being a parent is “absolutely hard work, and anyone who says it’s easy is lying. There have been numerous arguments between Harry and I. We lack patience. Many mothers have six or eight months off. I had to return to work after two months.
finding love once more
Rebecca rekindled her love for Andy.
Rebecca found love again, with facilities manager Andy Parsons. The swimming pro admitted she’d been nervous to try out dating apps, but ended up connecting with her husband Andy after just two weeks of swiping on Bumble.
In a 2021 episode of Loose Women, Rebecca explained how terrified she was of their early relationship and how she didn’t want to date anyone online. And I just realized that’s how people today meet people because it’s so uncommon to just bump into someone and meet them.
So I sat down and said, “Oh, I’ll give it a try to see how it goes,” and I sat down for a while, matched up with my partner, and we just got to know each other. After two weeks of chatter, we met up and went on a date, and the rest is history. We are now sat here with a baby!
Rebecca and Andy met their son Albie at Cheshire’s stunning Scarlet Hall manor house after three years of dating, and the couple exchanged the words “I do.”
co-parenting and family life

With her current husband, Andy Parsons, Rebecca has two children: a 10-year-old daughter named Summer, a 10-year-old girl from her previous union to Harry Needs, and a 4-year-old son named Albie.
The athlete has previously spoken out about the difficulties of raising a family with her ex-husband. Rebecca and her ex-boyfriend Harry navigate co-parenting their daughter in 2020 when Summer was just five years old.
She claimed at the time that people would expect her to be harsh with her daughter because of her strict prior Olympic training, but she later admitted to being the soft parent and that Harry is the “bad cop” of their parenting double act.
We refer to both good and bad cop. Everyone assumed that I would be the bad cop when she was born because I have a strong sports background. I’m like, “No, let’s do it, we can do this,” I say. She said, “That is my kind of mentality.”
You must be like that to be a sportsperson. And everyone seemed to say, “Bec is going to be the bad cop.” However, I’m by no means the bad cop. I’m accused of being too summery. But I can’t stop myself because I have a maternal instinct that won’t let me.
Sporting talent clearly runs in the family as both youngsters love to swim and play football. “Summer is part of a swimming club, and she’s got really into football recently,” Rebecca wrote in her Olympic Games Column for HELLO! last year.
She never stops running, swimming, or jumping because she is so active. I’m not sure whether she would want to enter that intense environment, but she adores it wholeheartedly, “penned the star.”
Albie’s mother claims that he is “obsessed with” cycling, swimming, and football and that he is “so competitive.” I’m not sure if he won’t play any sport because he’s so competitive, but it does worry me because I don’t want him to end up being such a terrible loser. And you don’t always succeed in sports, she said.

A hugely popular clothing steamer is being slammed online by Amazon. The retailer is currently holding its extensive Spring Deals Days sale, which has resulted in significant discounts for a variety of products.
The Tefal Pure Pop Slim Handheld Clothes Steamer is one of them, going from its original price of $ 49.99. For those who don’t want to spend time ironing, the price is 40% less.
The steamer has a 70ml water tank and is described as “portable but punchy,” heats up in 15 seconds, and generates 20g of steam per minute. The “clever reversible pad” has a velvet side for safely steaming delicates and a lint-removable side that is “great for pet hair removal,” according to Amazon.

No ironing board is required because the steamer can be used either horizontally or vertically. Items can be laid flat for tough-to-tackle areas like collars and cuffs, or they can be hung up straight to refresh clothes on the hanger.
The product has received rave reviews from satisfied customers online, earning it an overall rating of 4.3 stars. One user remarked, “This handheld clothes steamer is perfect for people who have little room for an ironing board and streams/irons clothes just as good as an iron.”
“Game changer,” a second wrote. Absolutely fantastic! This practical little steamer is ideal for when you need to quickly remove wrinkles from your clothes because I detest ironing so much.
It’s light and portable, making it convenient to use, especially when traveling, despite its small size. A dress or a few tops can be steamsed in just a few minutes. It offers excellent value for money and doesn’t leak. This product is highly recommended, in my opinion.
Amazon’s Tefal Pure Pop Slim Handheld Clothes Steamer
It’s just brilliant, a third enthralled customer said. I’d like to have purchased this product MANY YEARS AGO! My life is so much easier thanks to it. I have a wardrobe of creased clothing that I don’t wear because I detest ironing (and I only iron occasionally). When I need something to wear, I just pop this out in my bedroom. It is very quick and effective.
My dress, my family’s shirts, trousers, and shorts were all taken with me to a family wedding, and it contained it. Although I had to fill up the reservoir a few times, I was unconcerned by that. I purchased a bigger one for work that is much heavier and less effective than this one. I definitely would bring this along for a vacation. I just purchased two more for my sons’ planned uni departures.
“Life changing,” said another reviewer. fantastic steamer It was fantastic value because I found it cheaper than anything else. works really quickly and effectively. Small tank, but it really doesn’t matter because you shouldn’t need to do more than a few things. incredibly quick heats up. Reasonable cord length is also provided.
Not all shoppers, however, were as impressed with the Tefal steamer. It is suitable for light clothing that only needs a little ironing, according to one person. No good substitute for a genuine iron at all. With this person, it’s difficult to iron formal clothes.
One reviewer remarked, “Absolutely baffled by all of the positive reviews. Completely pointless, I’ve tried it on a few shirts, and they all look exactly the same as they did before I did anything. It accomplishes nothing at all.
Customers may choose to purchase a different brand as well. The Morphy Richards Express Steam Handheld Garment Steamer 361000 is discounted from £49 to £29, while Very has the Grey &, White Clothes Steamer in stock. Elsewhere, John Lewis has the Philips Steam&, Go GC362/86 Clothes Steamer for £49.99, down from £74.99.
This spring, Sydney Sweeney was scheduled to wed Jonathan Davino, but she called off the engagement because of “stress” as the couple works to resolve “issues” in their relationship.

Sydney Sweeney has cancelled her walk down the aisle, it has been reported. The Euphoria star is very tight-lipped about her private life, but sources say it’s not smooth-sailing behind the scenes.
Actress Sydney, 27, first became linked to film producer Jonathan Davino, 41, in 2018, and fans were stunned when they spotted a giant rock on Sydney’s hand in late 2022.

The couple’s wedding is said to have been scheduled for this spring, but they have already made a decision to skip it due to “tension” in their relationship.
Speaking to Us Weekly, an insider said that the couple “have been having major issues but are not fully split,” adding that “things are not great right now” but they haven’t called time on their relationship completely.
Sydney’s focus on work has caused a lot of ‘tension,’ and while she and Jonathan haven’t broken up their ‘wedding is not happening’(Image: GC Images)
They were scheduled to tie the knot in the spring. They said they aren’t having any further discussions about the wedding because it isn’t taking place. Sydney “wanted to cancel everything but was unable to handle the stress.”
Explaining that Madame Web star Sydney and her beau were focusing on patching things up, the source said that Sydney being so busy with work was one of the major bones of contention.
She complains that their relationship is strained because she doesn’t spend much time with her. Sydney’s career is incredibly important to her. They expressed their desire for more quality time with Jonathan.
The “full attention” Sydney pays to promoting her movies is another “tough” issue for Jonathan, adding that “people always speculate about their relationship and Sydney being close to her co-stars.”
The source might be referring to the romcom Anyone But You, which Sydney starred in opposite heartthrob Glen Powell.
While promoting the film Sydney was of course with Jonathan, while Glen was dating model Gigi Paris at the time – but fans still thought something was going on between the stars.
Glen acknowledged following the drama that Sydney had suggested they feign to stir up some interest in the film.
Fun and chemistry are the two things you need to sell a rom-com. We have a ton of effortless chemistry, and Sydney and I have a ton of fun together. That’s because people sometimes just have to lean in a little bit when what’s on the screen off the screen, he told The Times.
After all the speculation, Glen and Gigi eventually ended up together, and Jonathan, according to the insider, finds these kinds of situations to be challenging to handle.

The news of Sydney’s wedding postponement follows rumours that she and Jonathan have been living separately. TMZ claims that at Sydney has been staying at celeb hotspot Beverly Hills Hotel since mid-February accompanied by bodyguards and friends, while Jonathan stays elsewhere.
Red Bull have made it clear that they will immediately remove Liam Lawson and replace him with Yuki Tsunoda.
After Lawson had won just two Grand Prix for Red Bull, and Tsunoda was traded for the New Zealander in place of Sergio Perez, the decision was made.
Max Verstappen and Tsunoda, 24, will compete for Red Bull from April 4 through April 4, while Lawson will start for the second team Racing Bulls as team-mate to French rookie Isack Hadjar.
Verstappen believes that their car may be only the fourth-fastest in the field, despite McLaren and Mercedes having won the constructors’ championship after two races.
Lando Norris’ McLaren won the race in the wet season-opening Australian Grand Prix, and the Dutchman finished fourth in the Chinese Grand Prix over the weekend.
Lawson finished 18th in Melbourne before being eliminated. He placed 14th and 12th in China, coming in last both for the sprint and the grand prix.
His position in the Shanghai grand prix would have improved since Pierre Gasly’s Alpine and Ferrari’s disqualifications, which would have placed him 15th overall.
“We recognize that there is a lot of work to be done with the RB21, and Yuki’s experience will prove very useful in helping to develop the current car,” Horner said in a statement.
At a meeting of Red Bull’s CEOs in Dubai on Monday, including Horner and Chalerm Yoovidhya’s chief shareholder, the decision was made.
When Red Bull made the decision to terminate Perez two years before the end of his contract, they chose Lawson because they believed Tsunoda lacked the mental toughness to be Verstappen’s teammate and that Lawson had more potential.
The 23-year-old New Zealander won just 11 grands prix for Red Bull’s second team in the previous two seasons.
Verstappen won his fourth consecutive world title, but Red Bull’s car was no longer competitive, and he had lost that title just twice.
Red Bull have a reputation for handling their young driver program with ruthlessness, but dropping Lawson after two races is extraordinary.
In a statement from Horner, it was stated: “We have a duty of care to protect and develop Liam, and together we see that it makes sense to act quickly so that Liam can gain experience as he continues his F1 career with Racing Bulls, an environment, and a team he knows very well.
Tsunoda’s senior team debut will be at his hometown race in Suzuka, which is owned by Japanese automaker Honda, which has long supported the driver’s career.
Since making his Formula One debut in 2021, he has been a member of Red Bull’s second team, which was previously known as Alpha Tauri and RB.
His promotion provides an opportunity for him to advance to the top of the sport’s standing.
Tsunoda won’t make a team-mate because Honda is transferring to Aston Martin in 2026.
Even though Red Bull has long questioned his potential as a future driver, he has the chance to show that to the team’s bosses if he can demonstrate himself.
Tsunoda has started the 2025 season well, placing fifth in Australia and ninth in China, where he placed sixth in the sprint race.
Similar to how Red Bull rejected Gasly and Alex Albon before, Lawson will be informed that his demotion offers him an opportunity to reclaim his career.
After just half a season in 2019, Gasly was replaced by Albon, who had a year and a half in reserve driving in place of Perez.
Both Gasly and Albon have flourished and have since moved to Alpine.
American Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said to a reporter on March 24 that no one was texting war plans and that’s all I can say in relation to that while standing on a runway in Hawaii. He repeated the statement the following day.
A different story was told in the Signal group texts by the Trump administration.
Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic magazine, went into great detail about how he was unintentionally added to a group discussion on the messaging app Signal with senior Trump administration officials about a planned airstrike on Yemen on March 24.
Goldberg claimed in the opening statement that the “war plans” he had in the chat included “precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.” Because he was concerned about the publication of sensitive security information, Goldberg refused to provide detailed information about the military strikes.
The National Security Council affirmed the thread’s authenticity and said it would look into how Goldberg’s number was added to the chain.
The Atlantic published the full text thread after Hegseth, White House, and others debating whether “war plans” were being discussed. Hegseth provided information on when drones and aircraft would launch, when bombs would fall, and when targets would be moving, according to messages from March 26.
A spokesperson for the White House directed us to Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s post on X, in which it was stated that “no “war plans” were being discussed when we sought comment.
In an effort to combat the group, the US struck Houthi fighters on March 15 in a US-led assault on ships in the Red Sea since Israel’s occupation of Gaza began in October 2023.
National Security Advisor Mike Waltz wrote on X, “No locations,” after The Atlantic’s second story. No methods or sources. NO PLANS FOR WAR. There are some really shitty war plans, according to Headseth in a similar post on X, where he claimed the released messages had no names or targets. There were no war plans there, according to Marco Rubio, the secretary of state.
According to experts, the military doesn’t officially refer to “war plans.” The most in-depth military plans include details about force deployment and are lengthy (so many or even thousand pages).
However, the majority of the experts we spoke to agreed that civilians would view the Signal messages as being specific plans in general and with justification.
According to Michael O’Hanlon, a senior fellow in foreign policy at the Brookings Institution, “it’s about as specific as it gets” after The Atlantic published the messages in their entirety.
What Hegseth shared, and what experts think of it
Hegseth’s messages, according to Goldberg’s initial article, included “operational details of forthcoming strikes on Yemen, including information about targets, weapons the US would be using, and attack sequencing.”
After the publication of the story, Goldberg said in an interview with MSNBC host Jen Psaki, the White House representative under former president Joe Biden, that the messages contained “the specific time of a future attack, specific targets, including human targets meant to be killed in that attack, weapon systems, even weather reports.” He can assert that it was merely a minute-by-minute account of what was going to happen, not a war plan.
These messages from Hegseth were included in the follow-up article published on March 26 in The Atlantic:
“TIME NOW (1144et): Weather is FAVORABLE. We are a GO for mission launch, we just CONFIRMED with CENTCOM.
“1215et: F-18s LAUNCH (1st strike package)”
“1345: “Trigger Based” F-18 First Strike Window Starts (Target Terrorist is@his Known Location, SHOULD BE ON TIME; see also “Strike Drones Launch (MQ-9s)”).
“1410: More F-18s LAUNCH (2nd strike package)”
“1415: Strike Drones on Target (THE FIRST BOMBS WILL FINALLY DROP, pending earlier “Trigger Based” targets)”
The first sea-based Tomahawks to be launched is the 1536 F-18 2nd Strike Start.
“MORE TO FOLLOW (PER TIMES)”
“We are currently operational security clean on OPSEC,” that is.
Godspeed, our warriors.
The texts, according to military experts, do not represent a comprehensive plan but do provide alarmingly specific details.
Nora Bensahel, professor of practice at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and contributing editor to the website that covers national security, said that the term “war plan” frequently (but not always) refers to a more thorough planning document, which can run hundreds of pages, with details of how the US military intends to pursue a particular military objective.
These are precise operational plans for the use of military force, Bensahel said after reading the messages. Because these are clear plans for war, I don’t understand how the administration can justify making that claim.
An operation plan, also known as an OPLAN, is defined as a “complete and detailed plan containing a full description” and a “timephased force and deployment list,” according to a 2023 Defense Department guide.
Ty Seidule, a retired US Army brigadier general and visiting professor of history at Hamilton College, said, “We have OPLANs as a contingency if we have to go to war.” “Like we had for Iraq in 1990 and 2003. These contain a lot of detail and number in the thousands.
According to Seidule, the text messages were more of the “CliffsNotes” style, with “all the crucial details of a military operation” and “clearly a security breach of the first order” than the “OPLAN” version.
According to Heidi A. Urben, a Georgetown University professor of practice and former military intelligence officer, the newly revealed texts “amount to operational details from a concept of the operation (CONOP) or, in this case, colloquially, a strike package.”
Hegseth made the claim that the text exchange was not a lengthy war plan, but that “all the crucial details of a joint operation against an enemy force, which is worse,” according to Seidule.
Since the Defense Department doesn’t use the term “war plan,” Thane Clare, who served in the Navy for 25 years and retired as a captain, “technically gives Hegseth et al a completely disingenuous out.” The Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, an independent source for defense analysis, is now Claire’s senior fellow.
However, Clare asserted that “the Yemen chat is entirely operational information that reveals crucial details about upcoming operations.”
Military experts observed numerous security issues involving administration officials’ communication of plans using Signal.
