Radford family jet off to Disney again – but expert says ‘brand deals may be footing the bill’

After taking their children to Walt Disney World on an expensive £50, 000 trip in April, the Radford family have once more found themselves on vacation in Florida.

This year, the Radford family made a second trip to Disney.

Britain’s biggest family, the Radfords, are back in Florida for another sun-soaked Disney adventure – just months after their last trip.

Sue Radford, 50, and husband Noel, 54, who have 22 children, have shared glimpses of their holiday on Instagram, showing the clan enjoying rollercoasters, parades and Mickey-shaped treats. But their getaway has raised eyebrows, coming hot on the heels of a similar trip earlier this year despite Sue admitting the family were “feeling the pinch.”

Now, a celebrity PR expert says there’s more to the Radfords’ holiday habits than meets the eye. Speaking to The Mirror, publicist Mayah Riaz explained that the Radfords are no longer just a family next door – but a household name with serious earning power.

Sue Radford
In April, Sue Radford celebrated her 50th birthday at Disney.

A family like the Radfords is a brand in their own right, she said, adding that it is crucial to grasp that they are more than just a household name at this time.

They are dependent on a number of sources of income, according to the company’s long-running TV show, book deals, brand partnerships, paid appearances, and a sizable social media following.

The family’s Channel 5 programme 22 Kids and Counting regularly pulls in viewers, while their YouTube channel boasts hundreds of thousands of subscribers.

They are not your typical household, aside from Instagram partnerships and media appearances.

Riaz points out that such comments don’t always tell the full story despite Sue’s assertions about budgeting and cost increases.

The “feeling the pinch” comments don’t necessarily indicate that they’re struggling, as the typical family might, she said.

“Those kinds of soundbites frequently strike a chord with the public and make them seem relatable,” according to the author. However, every television appearance, documentary agreement, and brand collaboration has the potential to earn tens of thousands of pounds, sometimes more.

And Riaz suggests that behind-the-scenes deals may be in play when it comes to big-ticket vacations like Disney World.

Add to that the frequent collaboration between Disney and famous families and influencers by offering discounted or even free travel as a form of compensation, she explained.

“As part of their brand work, it wouldn’t surprise if at least some of their travel was subventioned or negotiated.”

The Radfords frequently portray themselves as a family who struggles with the same everyday difficulties as everyone else, as do their followers. Riaz contends that their reality is more in line with that of professional influencers.

The Radfords may appear to be a family like everyone else, but in reality they are media personalities with a level of earning power that reflects that, she said.

“That’s what allows them to finance the kind of lifestyle, including holidays,” according to the statement.

Sue and her husband Noel made the most of the school Easter holidays by traveling to Florida with their own children and all of their grandchildren.

Sue, 50, and Noel, 54, are parents to Christopher, 36, Sophie, 31, Chloe, 30, Jack, 28, Daniel, 26, Luke, 24, Millie, 23, Katie, 22, James, 21, Ellie, 20, Aimee, 19, Josh, 18, Max, 16, Tillie, 15, Oscar, 13, Casper, 12, Alfie, stillborn in 2014, Hallie, 10, Phoebe, 9, Archie, 7, Bonnie, 6, and Heidie, 5.

It is believed that just the flights cost an incredible £26, 000, before baggage fees, which are known to add up quickly.

Sue and Noel could have spent £20, 065 on each of their Florida trips this year based on the cost of a seven-day Disney trip, which would require each visitor to hold a 7-Day Magic Ticket for entrance.

Taylor Swift fans spot Matty Healy’s fiancée Gabbriette’s sassy swipe at newly engaged star

Taylor Swift fans are spitting feathers after Matty Healy’s fiancée appeared to take a swipe at the newly engaged star.

The Bad Blood billionaire, 35, broke the internet last week when she announced that she and her boyfriend of two years, Travis Kelce, also 35, were getting married.

The Americana star was flooded with well wishes from fans congratulating her on her happy news. However, Gabbriette Bechtel, 28, who is engaged to Taylor’s ex, Matty, 36, Healy, wasn’t one of them.

Instead, the model responded to an Instagram user, who posted a clip of herself mocking Taylor’s new album with the caption: “Made up what I think The Life of a Showgirl is going to sound like.”

Gabbriette asked the performer to give her version of another song from Taylor’s album, Actually Romantic, and replied, “Babe, please record Actually Romantic, please.

In response, the Swifties soon flocked to Taylor’s defence as one replied: “I’m sorry but that entire group is and HAS been so obsessed with Taylor it’s getting actually weird now. What do you mean you’re out there so bothered by your fiancé’s ex that you’re talking about an UNRELEASED album. LIVING IN THEIR MINDS RENT FREE AND FOR SOME TIME NOW.”

Another rebuked the comment, “Gabbriette and her friends openly having one-sided beef with Taylor, like… Do you not have a wedding you could be planning right now?”

Matty Healy, 35, and Gabbriette Bechtel, 26,
Matty Healy and Gabbriette tied the knot last year.

While a third pondered: “Matty Healy’s fiancée is commenting on posts mocking Taylor’s new album How obsessive would one be about an unreleased song”?

Before they got married, The Life of a Showgirl star had a romantic relationship with the 1975 frontman Matty, even though Taylor is now set to waltz down the aisle with Travis.

Taylor began dating Matty after breaking up with actor Joe Alwyn in 2023, and their platonic relationship quickly turned romantic. Fans were interested to find out what actually transpired between the two after their agonizing split only months later and several songs from Taylor’s album The Tortured Poets Department that were allegedly about Matty.

Although Taylor has not confirmed these claims, Fresh Out the Slammer, Guilty As Sin?, I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can), and The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived are all thought to be about Matty.

Two sources spoke to Us Weekly about the 1975 star’s reaction to the album. One claimed that Matty received a message from Taylor’s team regarding the album. According to the insider, he was “really appreciative” of that, adding that he was concerned that their story would be misrepresented. He worried that the general public wouldn’t be informed in full.”

He was also very anxious about the Swifties, the source explained, but he is relieved that he can move on more easily. Their union was “fast, passionate, and real,” the couple said. The former couple “speaks now,” according to the insider, but they still shared a strong bond. She will always be valued in a special way in Heaven.

After the pair were first photographed kissing in New York City in September 2023, Matty announced his engagement to Gabbriette in May 2024. This was a few months after his album-inspiring romance with the star ended.

Gabbriette’s representative has been contacted by The Mirror to comment on this story.

Iran arrests eight suspected of spying for Israel’s Mossad in 12-day war

According to its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iran has detained eight people who are suspected of attempting to reach the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad with information about senior military figures from its 12-day conflict with Israel and the United States.

On Saturday, the IRGC claimed that the suspects had received specialist training from Mossad through online platforms.

It claimed that materials for assembling launchers, bombs, explosives, and booby traps had been seized and that they had been apprehended in northeastern Iran before carrying out their plans.

State media reported earlier this month that Iranian police had detained up to 21, 000 “suspects” during the June conflict, despite declining to disclose what these individuals had been suspected of doing.

Iran launched barrages of missiles at Israeli military installations, infrastructure, and cities in retaliation after an Israeli military bombardment on June 13 that began to kill top military figures, scientists, and hundreds of civilians.

The US also launched extensive strikes on Israel’s behalf during the conflict, which was Israel’s worst blow to the Islamic Republic since its conflict with Iraq in 1980.

Iranian security forces launched a 12-day war that saw the start of a string of arrests and an increase in the number of street stops based on “public reports” and checkpoints.

Iranian citizens were urged to report any individuals they perceived to be having suspicious behavior during the conflict, which was broken up by the US and Qatar.

Iranian nuclear scientist Rouzbeh Vadi was hanged on August 9 for giving Israel information about another scientist who had been killed in Israeli airstrikes, among others.

Iran’s use of espionage charges and quick-tried executions as tools for wider political repression, claim human rights organizations.

Aid organizations report that local authorities have also accused some Afghan nationals of spying for Israel as a result of the Israel-US-Iran conflict has also accelerated the rate of deportations of Afghan refugees and migrants who are thought to be living illegally in Iran.

“Law enforcement seized 2, 774 illegal immigrants and found 30 special security cases when they looked at their phones. According to police spokesman Saeed Montazerolmahdi earlier this month, 261 suspected of espionage and 172 of those accused of making illegal filming were also detained.

Montazerolmahdi did not specify how many people who had been detained had since been released.

Newcastle sign Woltemade in club record £69m deal

Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade has been signed for a six-year contract by Newcastle United, breaking club records.

The 23-year-old Germany international, who stands at 6′ 6″, has signed for Newcastle in a £69 million deal.

This surpasses the $63 million investment that Newcastle made three years ago, making Alexander Isak the club’s most expensive player.

Given the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Isak’s future, who is determined to join Liverpool, Woltemade will have a significant role to play going forward.

He expressed his delight at this incredible club, “absolutely.” I initially got the impression that the club was interested in and had big plans for me.

Everyone has welcomed me so warmly and it already feels like family, but it’s a big step in my life to leave Germany. Talking with the head coach gave me the impression that this is where I should be at my absolute best.

“I have seen games on television and have seen the stadium, and I know the atmosphere is crazy. I’m very excited to begin scoring goals here.

Eddie Howe, the head coach of Newcastle United, stated: “We’re delighted to have Nick’s signing over the line so quickly. He provides exactly what we were looking to add to our attacking options.

Analysis can reveal things can be deceiving

Woltemade appears to be a battering ram from a center forward at first glance, but that is completely untrue.

The powerful striker, who has been nicknamed “Woltemessi” by Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, is technically gifted and adept at pulling his body out of tight spaces and linking play.

To cap a remarkable 12-month contract with Woltemade, Newcastle were persuaded to break their transfer record thanks to this distinctive profile.

Woltemade wasn’t even a household name in Germany until a year ago. When he joined Stuttgart as a free agent from Werder Bremen, he was not even guaranteed a starting position.

However, he has made some remarkable progress since then.

Woltemade won the first significant trophy of his career by winning 17 goals in 33 games for Stuttgart last year, including the German Cup final.

He then led Germany to the Under-21 World Cup final, where they lost to England in extra time, last month, and he led the group in scoring with six goals.

Woltemade won’t have much time to settle at Newcastle, incidentally, just like Isak did when he first joined the club three years ago and at a similar age and in the same window of opportunity. However, Under Howe and his staff, this is unmistakable.

Given the circumstances surrounding Isak and the short window of time, the black-and-whites will undoubtedly have felt they must make the move this summer.

After another impressive season in the Bundesliga, there is a very real chance that Woltemade, who also attracted bids from Bayern Munich, would have been unattainable.

However, it seems like Newcastle are not yet complete.

They are still active in the market and are interested in Brentford’s Yoane Wissa and Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen.

There isn’t much time left for Wolves or Brentford to find a replacement before Monday’s 19:00 BST deadline, so neither deal would be simple to close. However, things can change quickly.
