In Game Four of the NBA Play-Offs, Boston’s defending champions defeated Orlando Magic 107-98 to defeat the team’s defending champions.

Jayson Tatum made 14 of his free-throw attempts, including four in the final minute, and he added 37 points and 14 rebounds.

In the fourth quarter, the Magic tied the game at 91-91, but the Celtics took control by scoring ten of the next eleven points at Kia Center in Orlando.

Boston leads the best-of-seven Eastern Conference series by 3-1 going into the second round.

Point guard Damian Lillard was sidelined due to a non-contact injury in the Pacers’ 129-103 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The 34-year-old injured his left leg in the first quarter and will undergo an MRI on Monday after recently returning from a blood clot in his right calf.

The Knicks won the game 94-93 to defeat the Detroit Pistons, but there was controversy when Tim Hardaway Jr, the team’s quarterback, missed a winning shot at the buzzer without a foul after Josh Hart knocked him.

The Los Angeles Lakers were defeated by the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-116 in the first-round series of the Western Conference.

Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 1,159

Here is where things stand on Monday, April 28:

Fighting

  • Russia launched nearly 150 drones and missiles at Ukraine on Sunday, killing at least four people. The Ukrainian Air Force said that 57 of the drones were intercepted and another 67 were jammed.
  • North Korea confirmed for the first time on Monday that it had dispatched troops to fight alongside the Russian military to help retake parts of the Kursk region occupied by Ukrainian forces.
  • Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his personal gratitude to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, saying, “Our Korean friends acted based on a sense of solidarity, justice and genuine comradeship”.
  • The US State Department expressed alarm over the admission and called for Pyongyang to immediately end its military support for Russia.

Diplomacy and politics

  • United States President Donald Trump appeared for the first time to suggest that he is reversing his previous trust in Putin. Trump said on Sunday that he is “very disappointed” over Russia’s ongoing missile strikes against Ukraine. “I want him to stop shooting, sit down, and sign a deal”, the US leader told reporters.
  • However, Trump also claimed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy might be willing to “give up” Crimea to Russia, despite Kyiv’s consistent refusal to cede territory.
  • US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that the Trump administration could pull out of ceasefire talks unless progress is made soon. “We cannot continue to dedicate time and resources to this effort if it’s not going to come to fruition”, Rubio told NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday, adding that a ceasefire deal “needs to happen soon”.
  • Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov stated Moscow’s readiness for a negotiated settlement but noted that there were unresolved elements. “We are ready to reach a deal”, he told CBS’s Face the Nation, adding that certain points needed to be “fine-tuned”.
  • Previously received US assistance will not be factored into an upcoming minerals agreement with Washington, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced on Sunday. Shmyhal added that there was “good progress” on the agreement after meeting US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent.
  • German Minister for Defence Boris Pistorius has warned Ukraine against accepting Trump’s ceasefire proposal involving land concessions to Russia, calling it “capitulation”.

Love is well and truly in the air for Liz Hurley, according to those close to the star. The actress, 59, took to Instagram over Easter to showcase her budding romance with country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, 63.

Now, pals of the Against the Wild actress are saying wedding bells might be heard in the near future. It comes after the surprising match shared yet more images to social media. In the latest Instagram post, the Achy Breaky Heart singer wrapped his arms around his new girlfriend as they posed by a tree for the affectionate shot.

While casually sporting blue jeans and aviator-style sunglasses, she opted for an airy white lace blouse for the occasion. As he wore a purple plaid shirt rolled up to the elbows to display his body art, Billy Ray flashed a grin.

While Billy Ray drove them through the greens, Liz was also seen smiling in a car while she was seated next to a dog. Hedi Klum was one of the many followers who expressed their joy at the photos while Liz captioned the upload, “Tennessee weekend,” with an emoji for a love heart.

According to reports, the pair, who first met while filming Christmas in Paradise in 2022, reconnected last year. Following the breakdown of his third marriage, Liz reportedly turned into a surprising shoulder for him to cry on.

However, pals suggest their pair is going from strength to strength, and Liz could soon be the singer’s fourth wife. Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Everyone is saying he could be the one, so don’t be surprised if she marries again.”

They continued, “Everyone claims Billy and Liz are worlds apart, but they actually have very similar traits. They share many interests and are in good company.

The pairing comes over a decade after Liz dated late cricket star Shane Warne. The pair were engaged, but split in 2013. And the insider continued to say her latest partner had a similar resemblance. “He really reminds her of Shane Warne,” they said. “They have a very similar energy about them.”

And they claimed that Liz’s newfound relationship with Billy Ray has allowed her to finally leave Shane. She also praised the flirtatious element of the relationship, according to them.

While sharing a number of images to social media, Liz has remained tightlipped over the romance. The country singer meanwhile opened up about their pairing on Apple Music Country’s The Ty Bentli Show last week.

He said to the host, “Wow, can life get any tougher?” Is it even tougher? You can’t get knocked down any flatter than lying on your back when life is kicking you, he said at a certain point. And a friend reached out at this precise moment.

He continued, “So, I text back, I go, “Who is this?” after saying that he didn’t recognize the number. And it’s similar to Elizabeth Hurley. This friend who made me laugh was the one who reached out to me in that second, perhaps the one that I most needed.

We just laughed, he continued, adding, “At a time when I wasn’t really laughing. First, how much we laughed, which was the strangest part. Second, I assumed that although we were very different, we shared far more in common than we were different.

Geordie Shore’s Sophie Kasaei unveils dramatic new look after dissolving years of filler

Sophie Kasaei, a star of Geordie Shore, has unveiled her new appearance after removing years of facial filler. She felt like she was starting to resemble “the elephant man.”

Sophie Kasaei has revealed her transformed appearance after finally getting her facial fillers dissolved, admitting she had begun to feel like “the elephant man.” Sharing her journey on Instagram Stories, the Geordie Shore favourite, 35, kicked things off by stepping out of London’s Euston station, saying: “Come with me to get my filler dissolved.”

Sophie explained her long pause by saying, “I’ve had filler inside my face for a long time, but I had an allergic reaction just before Covid, which was a really, really bad one. I thought, “I just can’t do it,” and the PTSD from getting a dissolver has just been chaotic ever since.

She claimed that years of letting the filler build up had finally come to an end. “I’ve let filler build up for years and years so it was time to get it dissolved.”

Sophie traveled to Manchester for the procedure instead of staying local. Because I had just done it, she explained, “I was already in really safe hands with him because he was fully prepared in case there was.”

Sophie asked the doctor for an answer after the consultation, but the doctor replied, “Absolutely not, if you need them dissolved.

Sophie proudly declared, “I did it! ” when she later updated fans with a new clip. I received a third round of dissolver. It has already been stale! I took my antihistamines once more, but my face still looks so much better and less red. My eyes are now wider.

Sophie’s history of cosmetics has previously been open and honest. She stated in an interview with The Sun, “When I was younger, I used to fill my face with sand.” I once received cheek fillers and lip fillers. And as I grew older, everything suddenly disintegrated and was resumed.”

She discussed the extremes she once went to in search of a certain look during an appearance on Celebrity Botched Up Bodies on Channel 5 in 2016. She admitted to having her lips professionally done: “I got it at someone’s house, I was sat on the sofa with no numbing cream or nothing else; she just [shoved it in].” I licked a needle from my lips. It was agony.

When she realized the truth, Sophie described how horrified she was, “I remember leaving that woman’s house thinking my lips looked great and discovering that it wasn’t even filler that I was getting in my lips, it was silicone or saline… Or water basically.

She said, “At the time, I believed I was big and clever and looked amazing, but in reality I just looked like elephant man.”

It comes amid rumours that Sophie is reportedly preparing to leave Geordie Shore ahead of the new series after being unable to agree on the terms of their contract with bosses in a “a blow for the show”.

She made her debut on the MTV show in 2011 and, after some absences from several series over the years, she’s most recently been a cast member again since 2022. It’s now been reported though that she won’t be back for the next series of Geordie Shore – which is said to begin filming next month – “after contract talks broke down”.

She allegedly has been negotiating for a new contract for weeks so that it “reflects” her years of involvement with the show. And despite being claimed that Sophie is about to leave, bosses have made the joke that “there could always be a last-minute bid to keep her” abound.

Sophie has been negotiating with show managers for weeks, according to a source who spoke to the Sun. Sophie continued, saying, “She doesn’t really want to leave, but she feels a lot about the show and has been there for a while, so she wanted her new contract to reflect that.

Sophie is leaving as a result of a misunderstanding, and while there may be a last-minute offer to keep her from MTV, as it stands now, she is stepping away.

Given that Geordie Shore has been a “major part” of her life, she has “many other things going on “at the moment anyway,” according to the source.

The source said that her potential departure from Geordie Shore is “a blow to the show” because some other established cast members have already left. They suggested that whenever a much-loved “star leaves, the show loses a small percentage of the magic that has kept it going since 2011.”

Title won & relegation done… this is what else to look out for

The crucial issues have already been resolved, and it has taken place in record time, with four Premier League games still to go.

After beating Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, runaway leaders Liverpool won the title.

Ipswich Town lost 3-0 to Champions League-chasing Newcastle, following Southampton and Leicester City into the championship the day before.

With only four games left, the champions and all three relegations have been confirmed, surpassing the previous record set for the 2020-21 season. This means it is the first time in Premier League history.

What else can you look forward to before the 2024-2020 campaign’s final day, May 25th, is upon us?

An exciting race for Europe

At least five Premier League teams are guaranteed a place in the league as a result of England’s performance in Uefa’s coefficient rankings, despite the likelihood that 11 of those teams will travel to Europe in the following season.

If Manchester United or Tottenham win the Europa League, that number could rise to six, or seven in the unlikely event that Arsenal, the competition’s semi-finalist, will win and finish outside the top five.

The seventy-eighth-placed Newcastle are separated by just five points, but the rest of the teams that are a step closer to achieving European qualification have the best chances of capsizing memorable campaigns.

With only four games left, Fulham, Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford, and even FA Cup finalists Crystal Palace, who are 12th, are still in contention.

Can Southampton surpass Derby’s scoring record?

Southampton have nothing but pride to play for this season now that their relegation was officially confirmed on April 8.

That and surpassing Derby’s record-breaking Premier League score of 11 points from 2007-08 were also achieved.

Given their terrible form this year, it is not at all certain that Saints will receive it, but they do need one more point to avoid being the worst-ever joint-worst Premier League team in history.

In their final four games, Southampton will face fellow relegated side Leicester as well as Manchester City and Arsenal (see below), aside from a significant trip to Everton (see below).

Opta, a stats provider, anticipates Simon Rusk’s team to draw two draws from those matches, which would put them up 13 points overall.

The attempt to avoid 17th place

The remaining teams at the bottom are competing in a rather unfunny race to avoid finishing just above the drop zone because the relegation positions have already been set.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, which have won their last six league games, are at the top of that mini-league, which also includes Everton, Manchester United, Tottenham, and West Ham United.

Although Everton fans may have accepted the 17th spot earlier this year, the Toffees are hoping to move up and prepare for the 2025-26 season at the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium with momentum.

West Ham have also been able to avoid relegation, but manager Graham Potter, who has only collected 13 points in his 14 league games since replacing Julen Lopetegui, said the Hammers’ season has “not been good enough.”

Regardless of where they finish in the league, both Manchester United and Tottenham have had terrible campaigns.

Goodison, bid youby

Before their 133-year tenure at Goodison Park ends, David Moyes and his players have two more home games to look forward to.

Next weekend, the Toffees travel to Ipswich before hosting Southampton in their final game at the 1892-built stadium.

The Toffees will be desperate to celebrate their victory against the league’s bottom team with a poignant, emotionally charged event.

Even Everton home fans will experience a pang of sadness when Z-Cars, the soundtrack to every home game, plays out for the final time before kick-off on May 18th.

Trent is on his last day off?

Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold share a joke after a Liverpool gameImages courtesy of Getty

In recent weeks, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah have both signed new Liverpool contracts following months of speculation.

The fate of Trent Alexander-Arnold is still a mystery, with only a few games left to play.

Real Madrid is interested in signing the 26-year-old full-back, who is available to discuss a move abroad in the final three months of his current contract, but a deal has not yet been reached.

Alexander-Arnold, a key member of the Reds team that won the Premier League, Champions League, and Club World Cup in just 14 months in 2019 and 2020, was tight-lipped after scoring Liverpool’s winner at Leicester last weekend, saying: “I’m not going to speak on my situation.

A transfer saga that has been raging for some time may have come to an end.
