In an update on the criminal investigation surrounding their Glastonbury performance last month, Kniecap stated that they would “continue to fight” and “continue to win.”

Kneecap have shared an update concerning the police investigation into their Glastonbury Festival performance last month. Kneecap and Bob Vylan have faced strong backlash for their comments on stage at the festival, which included chants of “Death to the IDF” from Bob Vylan and “F*** Keir Starmer ” from Kneecap.

Following their performance, Avon and Somerset Police said they were investigating their sets from the Worthy Farm festival. They said last month: “Video footage and audio from Bob Vylan and Kneecap’s performances at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday has been reviewed. Following the completion of that assessment process we have decided further enquiries are required and a criminal investigation is now being undertaken. A senior detective has been appointed to lead this investigation.

“This has been recorded as a public order incident at this time while our enquiries are at an early stage. The investigation will be evidence-led and will closely consider all appropriate legislation, including relating to hate crimes.” We have received a large amount of contact in relation to these events from people across the world and recognise the strength of public feeling. There is absolutely no place in society for hate.

Neighbourhood policing teams are speaking with members of their local communities and key stakeholders to make sure anyone who needs us knows. The public can be assured of how seriously we are treating Saturday’s events by the work we have done and are still doing. Because an investigation is already underway, we ask the public to stop contacting us about this matter.

Weeks later, Kneecap took to their X/Twitter page to reveal no further action is being taken against them. The Belfast trio shared a screenshot of the email from the Detective Superintendent.

I am the Senior Investigating Officer for Avon and Somerset Police’s investigation into Kneecap’s performance at the Glastonbury Festival on June 28, 2025, according to an email sent to Kneecap’s lawyers. I’ve determined that no further action will be taken after reviewing the evidence. If you could inform your clients of this, or give me advice on a different way to get in touch with them, I would appreciate it.

Kneecap wrote in a statement accompanying the screenshot that “the political policing intimidation attempt is over. At Glastonbury, we performed a storied set. Due to crowds, the entire area was closed an hour prior. a show of love and cohesion. The most renowned festival in the world is characterized by a sea of good people.

“We soon learn about a full police investigation.” Following the Prime Minister’s own statement that “we played Glastonbury,” an investigation was launched.

“Enter the creaking scheming sounds of the establishment and the rapturous sounds of good people.” This “investigation” was frequently reported in wildly false headlines in all of the world’s media.

“Everyone who saw our set knew there was no law broken, not even close,” the police said in a statement that day. Why do you want to launch and make a f**k all investigation public? This is political, . This is intended. State intimidation is involved.

After the media damage is done, millions of eyes are able to see the damage in a private email claiming there is no proof or action, which is only seen by two people, they came to the conclusion. No public apologie is offered, and police accounts are not used to publish this information. We’ll keep fighting. We’ll keep winning, right?”

Avon and Somerset Police stated that they sought advice from the Crown Prosecution Service during their inquiries, and that they made the decision to ignore any further action because there isn’t enough evidence to support a plausible chance of a conviction for any offence.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer was previously asked whether Kneecap should perform at Glastonbury. He said to The Sun: “No, I don’t. I think we need to come down really clearly on this. I won’t say too much, because there’s a court case on, but I don’t think that’s appropriate.”

With the company changing its LinkedIn profile, the viral moment where two Astronomer colleagues were caught allegedly kissing in a romantic embrace at a Coldplay performance has taken a new direction.

A post shared by Software company Astronomer relating to its Head of HR Kristin Cabot has been removed, after she was caught in an embrace with CEO Andy Byron on a kiss cam at a Coldplay concert. The viral clip has taken the internet by storm after Coldplay’s Chris Martin called out the colleagues over their awkward reaction to being caught on camera.

Cabot and Byron were spotted with their arms around one another as Chris began filming members of his audience on the big screen during Coldplay’s performance at the Boston Gillette Stadium. Chris said, “Oh what? ” as the couple awkwardly reacted to being exposed on camera. They may be having an affair or just very shy. I’m not entirely certain.

The post from Astronomer now appears to have been deleted. In light of the scandal, Cabot was the subject of the LinkedIn post. Cabot was named the company’s Chief People Officer in the article, which was titled “An Exciting Day” according to Us Weekly.

The URL no longer functions, and the post has since been deleted. The current URL of the page reads “This post cannot be displayed.”

While the company last posted on LinkedIn yesterday, comments on all of its posts have since been turned off. The Mirror has reached out to Astronomer for comment.

Fans were quick to recognize Byron and Cabot in the original footage, which has amassed more than 17 million views on TikTok alone. Cabot joined Astronomer in November, and Byron praised her for her “exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management.”

She is a trusted leader at a number of growth-stage businesses, he continued, “She makes a perfect fit for Astronomer because of her passion for creating diverse, collaborative workplaces.” She claimed in a statement that her own energy was “energised by my conversations with Andy and the Astronomer leadership team about the opportunities that are available here.”

Cabot once said, “I like to think of my role as people strategy as opposed to traditional human resources because the real magic happens when the people strategy and the business strategy are aligned.”

Chris is currently in the middle of his worldwide tour with Coldplay bandmates Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion. They started back in 2022 and it’s due to come to an end at Wembley Stadium in London this September.
