Danny Jones ‘must do four things’ with wife to save marriage after Maura Higgins ‘kiss’

Danny Jones “needs to prove that his wife is his number one priority, via actions not just words”, a relationship expert has warned.

The McFly singer and Maura Higgins, who met on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last year, hit the headlines earlier this month when they were filmed appearing to kiss at a Brit Awards after party on March 1.

Since then, his wife Georgia Jones has kept a low profile, while there’s also been no word about the footage from Danny, 39, or Maura, 34.

Earlier this week, the singer and his wife broke cover for the first time since the Brits, appearing to confirm that they are still very much together.

According to a relationship expert however, there are four vital things Danny will now need to do in a bid to win back his wife’s trust.

James Preece, dating coach and relationship expert at HeraHaven.com said: “Ultimately Danny needs to prove that his wife is his number one priority – via actions not just words.

” This means constant communication, reassurance and a willingness to make real change.

“Apologies are one thing, but he needs to show her that he understands what he has done and the severity of it”.

Danny Jones has been urged not to communicate with Maura Higgins

Addressing the latest pictures of the pair seen out together, James went on to say their display is “clearly a public show of solidarity”.

“In reality, no matter how they act, whether laughing and joking or cold and distant, they’re going to be judged”, he added.

James additionally urges Danny to cut all contact with Maura moving forward, adding: “The focus needs to be on making his wife the number one priority”.

The singer and Georgia, who was Miss England in 2007, married in 2014 and share seven-year-old son Cooper together.

Fans got a brief insight into their family life during last year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! series when they surprised him in the jungle.

During an emotional moment at the time, he said: “Honestly this place is an amazing place, even though it’s been challenging. It just makes you realise how much you love people and you put stuff into perspective”.

Days later, he was crowned King of the Jungle, while Maura left in sixth place.

Manchester United Look ‘Lost’ And ‘Scared’, Says Rooney

Wayne Rooney thinks former side Manchester United look “lost” and “scared” on the pitch and that “10 to 15 players need to leave the club”.

Fallen giants United are a lowly 14th in the Premier League, with the likes of Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton and Nottingham Forest all above them in English football’s top-flight.

United have won just nine out of 28 league games so far this season and have been knocked out of both domestic cup competitions, with their hopes of winning any silverware this term hanging on Thursday’s Europa League last 16 second-leg tie against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford.

A hoped for upturn in results since Ruben Amorim replaced the sacked Erik ten Hag as manager has so far failed to materialise, with the Portuguese coach presiding over a mere five wins from 17 Premier League fixtures.

United great Rooney, the club’s record goalscorer, was blunt when asked on the Stick to Football podcast if there was any hope of a resurgence with the current squad.

“No, I don’t think so,” he said. “They look lost. I think they look scared and just scared to make a mistake.

“I do think Bruno (Fernandes) is the one who keeps producing, he annoys you at times as well, but he’s the one who keeps producing. But it needs massive changes to the squad. I think 10 to 15 players need to leave the club. ”

“Obviously they can’t do that, but I think there is a mentality there where it’s not going right. This player will pass it on to him, he’ll pass it on to him and no one is taking responsibility. ”

Former Plymouth manager Wayne Rooney

The 39-year-old Rooney, who mentioned United captain Fernandes and teenage fellow midfielder Kobbie Mainoo as players he would keep at United, added: “I think there is just a culture there now where it’s too easy for them to lose games and then you see them coming out (with), ‘on to the next one’ and all this rubbish.

“You’re like ‘just show it on the pitch — show some character and fight on the pitch’.

“It’s bad watching, it hurts. Being from Liverpool but spending so many years at Man United, I want the club to do well. I’ve got my kids in the academy there — and watching it, it hurts. ”

United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe said Monday in a BBC interview that some of the club’s players were “not good enough” and “some probably are overpaid”.

When Amorim was asked about those comments on Wednesday ahead of the Sociedad match, he said: “I think if we are being honest in this moment everybody — me, all the players — are underperforming this season so we can always change that. ”

Guinness Six Nations 2025: France v Scotland

When: Saturday, 15 March 2025 Kick-off: 20: 00 GMT Where: Stade de France, Paris

Gregor Brown and Matt Fagerson replace the benched Jonny Gray and injured Jack Dempsey for Scotland’s final Six Nations match away to France on Saturday (20: 00 GMT).

Brown starts in the second row while Number 8 Fagerson joins prop brother Zander in the starting XV with Dempsey ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Lock Marshall Sykes, back-rower Ben Muncaster and versatile back Jamie Dobie come into the squad as replacements.

‘ Ferocious France brings new dimension to Scottish task ‘

Scotland’s last tango in the Six Nations comes in Paris – a place where they went close but not close enough two years ago. That was an outstanding effort, but what’s required on Saturday is a task of a different dimension. France were okay back then, they’re utterly ferocious now.

Scotland need more dynamism and athleticism in the second row and Gregor Brown, making his first Six Nations start, has a chance of providing it.

Jack Dempsey being out is a blow. Dempsey has the dog needed in such a massive Test and was terrific against Wales. Ben Muncaster is on the bench, which is a reflection of his own capacity to run hard and bring a nasty edge.

Scotland line-up

Scotland: Kinghorn, Graham, Jones, Jordan, Van der Merwe, Russell (co-captain), White, Schoeman, Cherry, Z Fagerson, Brown, Gilchrist, Ritchie, Darge (co-captain), M Fagerson

Their friends and family were quick to send an array of well wishes. Among the was fitness guru Joe Wicks, who wrote: “Ffs I’m crying over here. I know how much you’ve wanted to be a dad and you’ll be an amazing dad too. This is the most beautiful thing to see. So happy for you both”.

Mark and Michelle announced the arrival of their daughter

Mark’s ex Lauren Goodger is yet to comment following the little girl’s arrival, but she previously sent a supportive message following Michelle’s pregnancy announcement. After Michelle and Mark announced their pregnancy in a joint post just after Christmas, Mark’s ex-fiancée Lauren told Closer magazine she is “happy” for Mark. After denying reports she was unhappy at the news, she blasted: “I’m not anxious, upset, or planning to leave Essex, and it didn’t ruin my Christmas”!

“I’m so happy he’s going to be a dad, I mean it”, she added. “It doesn’t affect my life whether Mark is having a baby, I’m not obsessed with him, my life will carry on”. And she made it clear the only reason she was speaking out about it was due to “all the s***” directed at her.

Lauren had previously admitted the pair’s separation 12 years ago “broke” her and left her feeling like she was “never going to love anyone else”. The TOWIE stars dated for 11 years and were childhood sweethearts, getting together aged 15.

In 2011 they get engaged on the show, but their engagement only lasted five months and they had a very public breakup that was documented on the reality series. In 2015, Mark went on to marry actress Michelle.

Lauren, who is mum to three-year-old daughter Larose, said she really wants to expand her family and is looking into fostering or adopting in 2025. Speaking to the Mirror in December last year, she said: “I’m still young, I still can have my own baby, but I’m not with anyone and time is going on. I feel like it’s such a beautiful thing to be able to do and I’ve got the space”.

Lauren longs for a sibling for Larose and has put her all into being the best mum she can be since her second daughter Lorena died in July 2022, shortly after she was born. And now she feels it is the right time to have another child.

What to look out for from Tuchel’s first England squad

England’s new head coach Thomas Tuchel will name his first squad on Friday morning as the Three Lions prepare for the start of World Cup qualifying.

England play Latvia and Albania on 21 and 24 March, and Tuchel has just seven international windows and roughly 450 days between now and the ultimate challenge of winning the 2026 World Cup.

BBC Sport looks at some of the talking points around Tuchel’s first announcement, including:

55 players spoken to – what has changed?

Tuchel has planned his squad announcement for Friday to take into account the English players playing on Thursday in Europe for Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea.

Over the past few weeks, Tuchel has spoken to more than 55 players individually on the phone, sources told BBC Sport. FA chief Mark Bullingham said Tuchel was “building connections”.

Tuchel has been partly working remotely from Germany, although Bullingham clarified last week that Tuchel is based at St George’s Park and living in London.

The England boss is often shown on TV cameras at Premier League matches and has travelled to Milan to watch Kyle Walker, Madrid to see Jude Bellingham and also been to Germany to watch England captain Harry Kane.

Clamour for Wharton – who is in contention?

Given Tuchel’s job description has been underlined as an 18-month trophy quest, will he focus on experienced players he knows well to win now? Interim Lee Carsley’s preference was to experiment with youth and prioritise the long-term development of the squad.

England’s established centre-back pairing of Harry Maguire and John Stones are both injured, with a younger crop of centre backs such as Marc Guehi, Levi Colwill and Jarrad Branthwaite in strong contention.

Ben White made himself unavailable for England selection after the World Cup in Qatar in 2022 when he left the squad but Tuchel has spoken to the Arsenal defender who can play both at right back and centre back. While Chelsea captain Reece James is also known and liked by Tuchel.

Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice are two near certainties to play for England in midfield with the third place up for grabs if Tuchel plays with a three-man midfield.

Kobbie Mainoo took that role at Euro 2024 but is currently injured, whilst Carsley introduced Angel Gomes, Morgan Gibbs-White and Curtis Jones during his interim time in charge.

Who joins Kane in forward positions?

Record goalscorer Kane’s England place was one of the biggest talking points of the summer. But any discussion of evolving away from the Bayern striker has disappeared with the appointment of his former boss Tuchel and Kane’s 10 Champions League and 21 Bundesliga goals this season.

Unusually for this squad, form and fitness means England’s usual array of attacking talent is partly reduced.

class=”ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3″>Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish are all out of form, Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke are injured. They are competing with class=”ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3″>Anthony Gordon, Ollie Watkins and class=”ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3″>Morgan Rogers who are all having good periods. Could Aston Villa’s Marcus Rashford, on loan from Manchester United, get a surprise recall?

In terms of formation, Tuchel has used both the 4-2-3-1 formation and a variation of 3-4-2-1, which he implemented at Chelsea in an impressively short amount of time for Champions League glory.

His sides can be described as pragmatic with an extremely high level of detail put onto each player. Not afraid of a direct style, his Bayern side knocked Arsenal out of last season’s Champions League maximising long diagonal balls into pacey wingers for one v one situations.

Lewis-Skelly, Spence, Mitchell – more left-back issues

Southgate was criticised for his failed Luke Shaw fitness gamble in the summer and left-back remains a dilemma for Tuchel.

In-form Newcastle defender Lewis Hall – who was given his Chelsea debut by Tuchel – was nailed on, before being ruled out for the rest of the campaign with an injury.

However, Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly has had an impressive breakthrough season despite actually being a midfielder at youth level.

Palace defender Mitchell has not added to his two England caps since making his debut in 2022, but with Tuchel being a regular visitor to Selhurst Park, he may be an outside bet.

JUST IN: Peter Obi In Closed-Door Meeting With Bala Mohammed

The 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, held a closed-door meeting with the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, at the Ramat House in Bauchi State on Thursday.

The purpose of the visit has not yet been disclosed. Both Obi and Mohammed are engaged in closed-door discussions and are expected to address journalists after the meeting.

The meeting between the Labour Party (LP) chieftain and the Peoples Democratic Party stalwart occurred amid political permutations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Obi came third in the 2023 presidential election won by ex-Lagos governor Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tinubu came out tops in 12 of Nigeria’s 36 states, and secured significant numbers in several other states to claim the highest number of votes — 8, 794, 726, almost two million votes more than his closest rival — former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.

Abubakar, who has now run for president six times, got 6, 984, 520 votes, while LP’s Obi, who, in less than a year, galvanised young voters in a manner some have described as unprecedented finished the race with 6, 101, 533.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, won the polls in 11 states, including the home state of the APC candidate — Lagos. He also came out tops in the nation’s capital Abuja. Abubakar, like Tinubu, was victorious in 12 states.

Former Kano State Governor and candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, finished fourth, claiming victory in his state — Kano. He secured 1, 496, 687 votes.

Opposition political parties have mooted the idea of a coalition to defeat the APC in the 2027 presidential election.

Atiku has been pictured with Obi, former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai as well as some powerbrokers across the country ahead of the forthcoming poll.
