Arteta expected Chelsea to be title ‘contenders’

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, said he anticipated Chelsea to be “contenders” for the Premier League title this year.

The teams meet at Emirates Stadium on Sunday (13:30 GMT), with the Gunners currently second in the standings and the Blues currently six points adrift of fourth place.

However, it seems unlikely that either team will catch runaway leaders Liverpool, who are 15 points clear of the leader after more games.

Arsenal and Chelsea appear to be ensuring their place in the Champions League for the moment, with fifth place now likely to be sufficient. Real Madrid will also face the Gunners in this year’s quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition.

However, Arteta suggested that Chelsea’s current head coach, Enzo Maresca, had anticipated more from the club.

The Spaniard claimed that they were “possible contenders to even win it” from the moment I watched them play in the pre-season, fully aware of how Enzo works and the talent they have in the squad.

In December, Chelsea moved within two points of the top after a five-game winning streak, making it appear as though they were the closest rival to Liverpool.

However, they have only managed four victories in 12 games and have exposed a number of weaknesses, particularly in defense.

Chelsea’s play and persistent issues have attracted criticism from their own supporters, but Arteta has backed former Leicester manager Maresca to fix things.

He is a superb coach, Arteta continued.

He has stated in his letter that he has been very clear about what he wants and how he does it. His team’s play is really good, I really like it.

Arteta added that Myles Lewis-Skelly, who received his first England call-up on Friday in Thomas Tuchel’s first team, showed promise while on the club’s pre-season US tour.

The 18-year-old made his senior debut in September, and he said, “You see the talent.”

You can observe how they respond to particular circumstances or difficulties. Then you start to believe that there is a player in this place, but you must do it. When he started against Liverpool as a sub, I was very impressed with him in the United States.

Dancing on Ice star worries fans as he shares picture of wife in hospital

When former Dancing On Ice star Kevin Kilbane shared a photo of his famous wife, Brianne Delcourt, in a hospital, he worried the audience.

Six Nations Men’s Under-20s

Wales (13) 23

Cons: Wilde 2 Pens: Wilde 3 Tries: S Emanuel, Rees-Weldon

England (13) 13

Wales’ remarkable victory at Cardiff Arms Park earned England a remarkable win over England in the Under-20 Six Nations championship, which is their first Grand Slam since 2021.

After capturing the title by beating Scotland by bonus points, France moved past Mark Mapletoft’s countrymen England, who had been chasing the same title for a while.

For England’s opening try, hooker Kepu Tuipulotu scored a sumptuous one-handed offload, which was assisted by prop Ralph McEachran.

Before Steffan Emanuel raced clear for the hosts as the teams went into the break tied 13-13, the score was maintained by six points each from the boots of Harri Wilde and Ben Coen.

As home fans began to think they could shock victory, Richard Whiffin’s side took the lead thanks to a stunning acrobatic finish from Wales wing Harry Rees-Weldon, who ratcheted up the volume and increased the volume.

Wales’ lead now reached 10 points thanks to the completion of their first victory over their rivals in five years thanks to fly-half Wilde’s third successful penalty kick.

As their first defeat since 2023, the hosts’ brutal defense, led by skipper Harry Beddall and international player Harry Thomas, kept England scoreless in the second half.

The biggest thing was the audience, hooker Thomas said, “From the beginning, it was like a 16th man.”

“These fans were mental, and we can’t thank you enough for what Welsh rugby needs week in and week out,” he said.

England has been [talking] all week, so we made it personal and that reflected what we wanted more.

Up until the final setback in Cardiff, where indiscipline and handling errors proved costly, Mapletoft’s side had been a class above their rivals this campaign.

Junior Kpoku was penalized close to Wales’ line in the closing stages for a push on what was a frustrating night for the visitors, while Wing Jack Bracken received a late yellow card for taking his opposite number out in the air.

England captain Tom Burrow said, “It wasn’t the outcome we wanted, and we will have to take a long, hard look at ourselves.”

Before the World Rugby Under-20 Championship this summer, “We have three months to correct some mistakes.”

Wales brought fury, and we knew that their defense was very strong, no matter what we do together out there.

Grimes says she’s ‘begged’ Elon Musk to keep kids away from White House in emotional post

Once more, Grimes has publicly expressed her desire to keep her children out of the public eye.

Elon Musk, who is now frequently seen right in front of US president Donald Trump, and Exa Dark Sider Elon Musk, three, and Techno Mechanicus, two, are their previous partners. Tesla’s founder, Musk, has begun to involve his children in his political life, and he even spoke to their oldest son X in a White House conference without her knowing. X accompanied his father to a Trump rally where he discussed the benefits of Tesla cars in front of the White House this month.

Grimes, 36, brought up the issue while conversing with a fan on a fake post she had created that has since been broadcast on X, formerly known as Twitter, in a recent conversation.

The person who poses as Grimes in the fake post discusses “sexuality and kinks” of “Fortune 500 CEOs.” One fan asked, “How to protect your children from this?,” after Grimes reshared the joke. Why can’t you remove this garbage from the internet? I hope you can emulate life with art.

Elon Musk has become averse to attending public political rallies, rallies, and conferences, many of which are televised (Getty Images), with his oldest son, Grimes, X A-12.

If I had the resources, I would do everything to protect one of my children from the realities they will encounter one day because I’ve seen how the internet destroyed one of their lives. Hopefully, once they mature and understand the satire, they will understand it.

Musk was quoted as saying in Grimes’ direct response, “I regret that I do not control the internet and can’t wipe this from the internet.” I’ve tried asking my kids’ father to keep them offline, as well as my legal representatives. I follow you here because I’ve seen young people killed online as well.

She continued, “I think about how to solve this every day, and the public’s perception of my children’s lives is of grave concern to me.” I find it insane that there isn’t a way to handle this. I would like to have a parent’s right to prevent their young children from engaging in public life, but I don’t even trust the law to help me right now, if I try to invoke it. It’s very concerning that we are in the “wild west” of information content and the destruction of privacy.

Grimes has previously shared her dirty laundry with Elon Musk on X, which Elon Musk owns. She begged him to speak with him last month to ask for medical attention for one of their children, claiming that they were at risk of a “life-long impairment” unless they received medical attention.

Grimes has previously stated that she dislikes having her children “dragged around like Michael Jackson’s Chimpanzee,” in addition to making claims that she is trying to contact Musk.

She stated in January, “In every way I can, I do not approve of that.” I’m trying my hardest to figure out the problem. I experience a personal tragedy as a result. However, I am currently unsure of how to accomplish that.

Jack Fincham hits back at Danny Dyer as bitter rift between former friends erupts

After the former Love Island star’s daughter’s ex-boyfriend attacked his daughter’s ex in a podcast, tensions have erupted between Danny Dyer and former EastEnders star Jack Fincham.

Jack Fincham has lashed back at Danny Dyer after the EastEnders star took a swipe at him.

Since the 33-year-old became well-known on Love Island in 2018 as a member of the cast of season four, there has grown a bitter relationship between the two. Jack and Dani Dyer, Danny’s 28-year-old daughter, were a well-known pair, and Jack won the show.

Six months after they won the first season of ITV’s dating show, Jack left after his romance with Dani ended in December 2018. Jack has since experienced a number of issues, including being detained after a terrifying dog attack and revealing drug addiction.

After the soap actor made some obscene comments about the former Love Island star during a podcast, the tension between Danny, 47, and Jack rekindled. He argued that Jack had a different persona than the viewers who knew him, implying that he had a different personality.

However, Jack has now responded to defend his position by saying, “I’m just trying to move on with my life, I’m not sure why Danny has made a few backhanded digs or insults, especially since I looked up to him and he has had his own struggles much worse than mine.”

He added: “I would also add he is right I was different on telly as that was the real me, no drugs , no distractions just me living life, I let drugs and distractions and bad decisions change me back to who I didn’t want to be. But thank god I’m no longer the bad version of myself.” The Mirror has contacted a representative of Danny for comment.

Danny has spoken out about his drug use in the past and has also made headlines for his relationship with his wife Joanne Mas, who he has known since 1992. Danny was a guest at the 2025 BRIT Awards in London earlier this month, and he attracted attention.

After host Jack Whitehall took a seat beside him, he let rip into current UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, to blast him as a ‘b*** e**’. His outburst came after he described his latest film, Marching Powder, by comparing it to Bridget Jones, before dropping the c-bomb.

His commentary ended up turning political as Jack asked: “Who is the c*** of the year?” Danny replied: “Keir Starmer” and said “the world is being ran by b*** e****.”

The moment had to be bleeped out of ITV’s coverage, with just parts of the rant being heard by viewers. In 2018, Stormzy hit back at the then-Prime Minister Theresa May when he slipped in a verse about the Grenfell Tower fire. Speaking for the people, he rapped: “Yo, Theresa May, where’s the money for Grenfell? What, you thought we just forgot about Grenfell. You’re criminals, and you got the cheek to call us savages? You should do some jail time, you should pay some damages.”
