Australia 247 (34.4 overs): Litchfield 71 (48), Glenn 5-32
England 251-6 (44.3 overs): Capsey 88* (85), Garth 2-17
England’s final Women’s World Cup warm-up match in India was won by four wickets thanks to Alice Capsey’s unbeaten 88.
Before Capsey revived the innings with an innings total of 82 with Sophia Dunkley, who made 54, England fell to 32-3 in Bengaluru on the run of 248 to win.
Although Darcie Brown and Danni Wyatt-Hodge fell cheaply for 10 in the partnership of 109 and Emma Lamb, England was within striking distance.
With only four more runs required, the in-form Lamb, who made 81 against India in the other warm-up match, fell for 60. However, Capsey’s knock made sure England made it to their goal comfortably in the 45th over.
As England changed the squad, and with the exception of Tammy Beaumont, Amy Jones, and Heather Knight, the experienced top three, Tammy Beaumont, Amy Jones, and Heather Knight, the recovery was impressive.
Kim Garth awarded Beaumont and Knight eight and five, respectively, while Megan Schutt awarded Jones nine and eight.
Sarah Glenn, a leg-spinner for Australia, bowled Australia out for 247 in 34.4 overs, and England also did a remarkable fightback with the ball.
In the first over, Australia captain Alyssa Healy was taken out by Lauren Bell, but fellow opener Phoebe Litchfield top-scored with 71 from 48 balls to make a strong start at 128-3.
Ellyse Perry didn’t play for Australia, and their batting lineup also changed, and Glenn’s bowling caused a collapse to 167-8.
After Georgia Voll, Sophie Molineux, and Georgia Wareham’s all rejigged middle order, top-order batter Beth Mooney, who came in at number nine, made 59 from 42 balls.

Vicky had admitted she was incredibly nervous about the performance, so Pete promised to stand in front of him for her first performance.
She made fun of the fact that she was wearing a “salad in a skin” to the launch show and that she was “relieving” for the experience.
Strictly gives you the incredible opportunity to grow, whether you’re learning to dance, meeting new people, or just getting fitter. I’m so grateful for having the opportunity to discover what you can do.

He also strengthened strategic alliances with the UK on trade, defense, and migration issues and presented Nigeria’s $200 billion energy transition opportunity to international investors.
The Vice President demanded control of Africa’s $ 700 billion mineral wealth, as well as initiatives for digital inclusion, in addition to President Tinubu’s national statement, which called for reforms at the UN, and a permanent seat for Nigeria at the UN Security Council.
He also worked with the Gates Foundation to expand the continent’s $3.4 trillion market, positioning Nigeria as the ideal hub for the expansion of the healthcare and education sectors.

Alex Jones, a presenter for The One Show, recently made an “horrible” claim about her relationship with Matt Baker, a former co-host, that she had a close relationship with.

Matt Baker’s ex-co-star has hit out at what she dubbed a “horrible” term used to describe the pair’s relationship. Alex Jones, who co-presented The One Show with Matt Baker from 2011 to 2020, disclosed in an interview over the summer that she thinks a particular word has now become a “horrible little term.”
Matt, an avid farmer who broadcast his last episode from his family home in Durham during the pandemic, has since moved on to host countryside-focused programmes like Our Farm in the Dales and Countryfile.
Given that Matt is her longest-serving co-host on the BBC’s flagship chat show, it’s only natural that they developed a close rapport over the years, a topic that came up during a conversation in August.
When quizzed about their on-screen chemistry, Alex told The Times (which suggested she might be reading “too much” into the question): “I think the word chemistry has become a horrible little term.”
She continued, “You can have chemistry with someone you just met because you can bounce off each other really well.” Oh, are they in a relationship, doesn’t need to be that way.
She said, “I don’t think anyone looks at me and Roman and says, “Oh, I wonder if they’re together?”
These days, Matt dedicates the majority of his time to the Durham farm, though he has previously discussed his forthcoming aspirations.
When questioned about potential future instalments of his programme Travels with Mum and Dad, he informed Hello! that he simply goes “with the flow” when it comes to his family.
He also confirmed there were no immediate plans to continue the show, revealing that another programme was due later this year and he was “doing a lot” of TV producing.
He claimed, “When I left The One Show, that was the point of my own production company to produce shows that people want to watch, and it’s gone incredibly well.”
Matt went on to disclose his hopes for his two teenage children, Luke and Molly, whom he shares with his wife, Nicola. He reflected on his childhood on the farm and expressed that he’d like his kids to eventually take over the reins.
He continued, “I’ve worked hard to make sure my children receive the same education I did because it has helped me greatly in my life.”
Matt did point out that there wasn’t any pressure to follow suit. He continued, “I would imagine” that his teenagers would “definitely” experience country life, noting that they “feel at home there.”
Vernon Kay, a presenter for BBC Radio 2, admitted to risking a “clip round the earhole” if he forgets a crucial point about his family life with his wife Tess Daly and their two daughters.

Vernon Kay has acknowledged that he occasionally overlooks his daughter’s birthdays.
Television favourite Vernon Kay, 51, has admitted he’s in for a telling-off from his wife Tess Daly, 56, and their daughters if he slips up on remembering important family facts.
Chatting with BBC colleague Ellie Brennan, the well-known BBC Radio 2 presenter discussed how it feels when family members forget key details about one another.
Ellie and Vernon exchanged an embarrassing story about her partner’s memory lapse involving her name during a live conversation on Friday morning.
She remarked, “My other half and I have been together for eight years, and we went on vacation, and he didn’t know how to spell it, but he just spelled Eleanor Rigby off of The Beatles, which luckily is the correct spelling.
Then, in an ironic way, Vernon acknowledged that he was occasionally unable to remember his daughters’ birthdays and described his espionage plan.
He continued, “I’m like that with the girls’ birthdays.” You are aware of the time it takes to complete visa applications and similar things? I’m not interested in asking. You know what I mean, I can’t ask; I’d get a clip round the earhole. I search for passports until I find them.
The popular TV host shares two daughters with Strictly Come Dancing star Tess Daly; Phoebe, 20, and Amber, 16, who often feature in his anecdotes.
The M&S: Dress the Nation star isn’t shy about sharing moments when his girls stir his emotions, even opening up on air about his nerves, particularly around the time Amber was awaiting her GCSE results.
As students across the country braced for their exam results in the summer, Vernon shared with his audience that he was among those parents experiencing a “week of anxiety” in anticipation of the pivotal moment.
Speaking to his BBC Radio 2 colleague Scott Mills on the day the results were released, Vernon couldn’t hide his emotions: “I’m a proud dad!”
He continued, “Scott, I seriously can’t stop crying.” We’ve done okay because it’s GCSE results day, and I’m by your side for the parents who have messaged because they’ve been so anxious for the past week.
When Scott asked about the root of Vernon’s concerns, he candidly explained his belief in the significance of GCSEs over A-Levels.
Married At First Sight UK has once more appeared on television as singles are matched by an expert team to wed a total stranger they have never met at the altar.

One very lucky Married At First Sight fan got the chance to attend one of the on-screen weddings in person and has revealed what really goes on behind the scenes of one of E4’s most-loved reality shows.
The iconic reality show returned to screens on Sunday, September 21, as dozens of singletons marry a complete stranger at the altar. One couple who hit it off almost immediately was Nelly Patel, 30, and Steven Springett, 34, who had one of the show’s more unique ceremonies to date.
Paying homage to her Indian upbringing and culture, Nelly was brought into the ceremony on a Doli carriage adorned with flowers as husband-to-be Steven watched on in amazement. The investment banking manager appeared to hit it off with dentist instantly, setting themselves up to be one of the strongest couples so far.

Ashleigh Rainbird, an entertainment writer, was invited to the wedding and gave an interview to see it live. The couple and their honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, were filmed on Monday evening during the 10th series of the show.
And while the wedding took all of a few minutes on screen for viewers, in reality it goes on a lot longer for those witnessing it in person. “The size of the crew is enormous,” she said via the Daily Mail.
The ceremony took place in a pavilion at North Mymms Park, a manor house from the 16th century. And while only their families and friends hear their vows once, the viewers do so on repeat.
They exchange prewritten vows, and Ashleigh describes how frequently grooms refer to their bride as “beautiful” without having seen them.
“But then they do the entire thing again, at the risk of detracting some of the magic of TV.”
It’s probably not surprising that a large-scale production like this takes several takes, but it can be difficult for those present to watch the wedding.
The venue, which was actually used to film three of the weddings but was constructed to look like three different venues, is also being flooded by producers.
“I witness producers coordinating the movements of Nelly’s bridal party and Steven’s groomsmen via walkie talkies so none of them get even a glimpse of one another,” Ashleigh said. “An urgent warning comes over the airwaves alerting the team to the bride’s parents are set to pass up a stairwell,” she said.
Fans watch the father-of-two Steven telling his now-wife that he has children, which Nelly is thankfully unaffected by.
Steven had been working as an investment banker before being attacked outside of a nightclub and forced to give up on his professional football career.
He was left with a broken nose, cracked teeth, and a broken cheekbone after nine men viciously kicked and punched him in the middle of a previous college fight in his early 20s.
After having reconstructive surgery, he decided to stop playing football. He said, “You can only hide behind a mask for a certain amount of time.” I had to alter my profession. Being a young adolescent male, I was in my early 20s, which is a terrible age.
