‘Mediterranean’ breakfast Victoria Beckham eats for slim figure and glowing skin

It’s easy to copy what the former Spice Girl has for breakfast to maintain her looks

Victoria Beckham is back on Netflix with her own self-titled docuseries, which launched on the streaming platform today (October 9). It follows her busy life as she prepares for Paris Fashion Week whilst also charting some of her life and career so far.

The former Spice Girls star turned fashion designer might suggest she treats herself to decadent breakfasts as part of her lavish lifestyle. However, the former pop singer reportedly chooses something that is both simple and nutritious to start off her day.

HELLO Magazine reports that the mum-of-four maintains a consistent diet, with the 51-year-old rarely straying from her normal morning rituals. According to her friend, actress Eva Longoria, Victoria eats a modest meal each morning.

Speaking to MailOnline, Longoria said: “[Victoria] is actually easy because we eat the same breakfast. We both love egg whites and avocado. When we’re together… she makes a great egg whites and avocado.”

Victoria Beckham also previously revealed to The Telegraph that she consumes three or four avocados daily to keep her skin’s radiance, as reported by the Express. Avocados are a great addition to the Mediterranean diet due to their high content of healthy monounsaturated fats, similar to olive oil. They are also loaded with fibre and essential nutrients such as folate and potassium.

By abandoning the egg yolk, the nutritional makeup of this everyday essential shifts dramatically. The yolk holds most of the egg’s calories, fat and cholesterol.

At first glance, removing the yolk—which represents nearly half of the egg’s protein content—might appear counterproductive. However, a Healthline report claims that egg whites, due to their substantial protein content, can help boost protein consumption without significantly affecting calorie intake.

Egg whites can be a weight-loss wonder. They are packed with protein that keeps you feeling full and helps build muscle, all while being low in calories, fat, and cholesterol. This perfect balance of protein and calories allows you to up your protein intake without piling on the pounds, helping maintain a trim physique.

Victoria reportedly often pairs her lean egg whites with avocado, another nutritional powerhouse, ensuring her breakfast is not only low in calories but also nutritionally balanced. According to BBC Good Health, an 80g serving of avocado includes 152kcal, 1.5g protein, 3.6g fibre, and around 360mg of potassium.

Avocados have become a must-have in the diets of many celebs, from royalty like King Charles to reality TV stars such as Kourtney Kardashian. This green superfood is loaded with essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that contribute to overall health.

Avocado can be a skin saviour thanks to its healthy fatty acids, vitamins (like E, C, and A), and antioxidants that nourish, boost hydration, and protect against ageing and sun damage. Eating avocados aids in collagen production and enhances skin elasticity, while applying avocado oil directly to the skin moisturises, softens, and soothes it.

Its high concentration of vitamin E promotes healthy skin and eyes and strengthens the immune system. While avocados might seem high in fat, they are actually monounsaturated fats, which studies suggest can help fend off heart disease.

According to a recent study, avocados, with their high fat and fibre content, are a great choice for those looking to manage or lose weight. However, turning brown once cut open is a common problem.

Several people have shared ‘life hacks’ that could prolong the life of this popular fruit if it is cut and stored in a certain way. A popular home hack Instagram account (@jimmy_laura_astuces) has claimed that the way you slice your avocado can significantly affect how long it stays fresh.

Instead of the usual top-to-bottom lengthwise cut, they suggest cutting it widthwise, across the middle. This leaves half the seed intact and has a smaller exposed surface area, making it a perfect fit for a small container like a mug.

Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen says she’s ‘reached tipping point’ with ex-husband

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has revealed how she stays fit and healthy while working alongside her ex-husband Clive on the family farm

Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen has humorously suggested she’s reached her limit with her ex-husband Clive. The 51-year-old met Clive in 1996, and they soon became the proud owners of Ravenseat Farm in the Yorkshire Dales.

However, after a 22-year marriage, the couple decided to separate in 2022, but they continue to jointly manage the farm.

Besides featuring on the popular Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm and running the business, Amanda is also a successful author, having penned five books about farming life.

In addition to her other commitments, Amanda maintains an active Instagram account where she shares snippets of her life on the farm.

She recently opened up about her post-divorce life working alongside Clive on the farm, how they divide responsibilities, and how she stays fit amid all this.

Speaking to i, she revealed that her fitness routine is largely made up of the physical labour involved in her work, reports Yorkshire Live.

Amanda shared: “Shearing sheep keeps me in shape. That’s where I get my biceps from. That and towing horses, lifting up rocks, dry stone walling, filling ditches – just doing stuff.

“I don’t do any weights. Reuben, my 21-year-old, is the only child who’d beat me in an arm wrestle because he does groundwork and landscaping, so he’s incredibly strong.”

However, when it comes to her ex-husband, the mother-of-nine draws a line.

She went on to say: “I’ve probably reached tipping point with Clive; I don’t think he’d tackle me because he wouldn’t want the humiliation.”

Amanda also mentioned that while she and Clive are “civil”, they “still bicker” — and instead of sharing a home, “he’s next door”.

This isn’t the first time Amanda has opened up about working alongside her ex-husband on the farm and co-parenting their children.

In a chat with Hello! magazine, she confessed that their dynamic hasn’t changed much — they still get on each other’s nerves.

She told the magazine: “What am I supposed to say, ‘We get on like a house on fire?’ Well, if we did, we wouldn’t want to separate, would we?

“He’s still the same annoying old Clive that he always was. I’ve seen him just now, and he’s still annoying — I annoy him, and he annoys me.

United Rugby Championship: Scarlets v Stormers

Stormers may have been boosted by Springboks but Scarlets insist they have a Test-quality back line to strike fear into United Rugby Championship rivals.

The South Africans head to Llanelli on Friday (19:45 BST) after starting the URC with wins against Leinster and Ospreys in Cape Town.

They are bolstered by Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Damian Willemse after they helped South Africa win the Rugby Championship.

Scarlets welcome back their own Springbok into their XV, Marnus van der Merwe, after the hooker made his Test debut this summer.

Scarlets field an all-Wales set of starting backs with fly-half Sam Costelow on the bench after a head injury.

Dwayne Peel’s side failed to fire against Munster on the opening weekend but captain Johnny Williams is confident they can cause Stormers problems.

“There’s no point being scared of what other teams have got because we know that they are talking about our backline, the quality we have coming on as well.

Scarlets started the season with a 34-21 defeat to Munster in Llanelli and then were denied a chance to get that out of their system when travel complications led to their game at Connacht being postponed.

Dwayne Peel’s side finished eighth in 2024-25 to qualify for the play-offs and Champions Cup but failed to hit those heights in their opener.

“There was a lack of energy and for first game of the season that was unacceptable,” said Williams.

“The excitement, edge, energy, enthusiasm needed to be better.

“The standards that we set last year, we didn’t see at all against Munster. Come Friday I have no doubt it will be there, with an edge at home against a physical side.”

Joe Hawkins starts at fly-half, as was planned at Connacht, while Van der Merwe slots straight back in as a starter.

Lock Steve Cummins is on the bench after returning for a second spell with Scarlets on a short-term loan from Dragons.

Superstar fly-half Feinberg-Mngomezulu comes into the Stormers’ starting line-up with the versatile Willemse at full-back.

How they line up

Scarlets: Murray; Rogers, J Roberts, J Williams (capt), Mee; Hawkins, G Davies; Hepburn, Van der Merwe, H Thomas, T Davies, Douglas, Taylor, Davis, Plumtree.

Replacements: Myhill, S O’Connor, Holz, Cummins, B Williams, Blacker, Costelow, Page.

Stormers: D Willemse; Senatla, Simelane, R Nel (capt), Zas; Feinberg-Mngomezulu, Ungerer; Vermaak, Kotze, Sandi, Schickerling, R van Heerden, P de Villiers, Dixon, Roos.

Replacements: A-H Venter, Matongo, Porthen, Evans, Theunissen, Fourie, Khan, Matthee.

Referee: Federico Vedovelli (FIR)

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne rally behind Yungblud after backlash over VMAs performance

Yungblud paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards by performing a medley of the late musician’s hits, but received some backlash from critics

The Osbourne family have shown their support for Yungblud after the singer faced backlash for his tribute to the late Prince of Darkness at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

The British rocker, 27, joined Aerosmith legends Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, along with guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, for an emotional performance in honour of Ozzy Osbourne at the awards ceremony.

The rocker died in July at the age of 76. The makeshift VMA band performed a medley of Ozzy’s biggest hits, including Crazy Train, Changes and Mama, I’m Coming Home.

Ozzy’s son Jack and his children introduced the performance via a video link, and during the set itself, Yungblud shouted “Ozzy forever, man!” as the music came to a close.

While many fans were moved by the performance, others accused Yungblud of using the moment to further his career.

In the days following the VMAs, The Darkness guitarist Dan Hawkins blasted the segment online, calling it “another nail in the coffin of rock ’n’ roll” and “cynical, nauseating and s***”. He added: “Makes me sick how people jump on this s*** to further their own careers.”

However, the Osbourne family appears to be standing by Yungblud. The team running what used to be Ozzy’s X account have now tweeted a post that reads: “For your @RecordingAcad Grammy consideration, ‘Changes’ live from Villa Park during the Back to the Beginning concert.”

The tweet was accompanied by a video of Yungblud performing Changes, with a subtitle suggesting it is being pushed for Best Rock Performance of the year. Sharon Osbourne later reposted the tweet.

Fans quickly flooded the comments with messages of support. One wrote: “Thanks to the Osbourne Family for this! Jack was amazing in the interview with Dom. The love & care shown between them was genuine, just as it was with Dom & Ozzy. The family took Dom under their wing because he was simply one of their people.”

Another added: “Hearing a classic like Changes played live in a new setting proves this. The crowd’s reaction shows the band’s unique interpretation resonates deeply, creating a new shared memory.”

However, not everyone was convinced. One critic hit out: “Wait… the fake manufactured ‘rock star’ is getting an award for singing badly with autotune? Don’t destroy Black Sabbath’s legacy with this terrible singer, please.”

Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, had a personal relationship with Ozzy Osbourne while the rock legend was alive.

When Ozzy died, Dominic posted photos of the two of them laughing together on social media, writing: “I didn’t think you would leave so soon. You were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room… I will never forget you — you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage.”

At the MTV Awards, Yungblud could even be seen wearing the late musician’s cross necklace in what some believe was a subtle tribute to Ozzy.

Key moments that led to Trump’s Gaza ceasefire deal announcement

US President Donald Trump has announced that Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of a peace plan that aims to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza.

This plan seeks to end Israel’s war that has dragged on for two years, killing more than 67,000 Palestinians with thousands more lost under the rubble and presumed dead.

During the initial phase, Palestinian prisoners and Israeli captives will be released by each side.

These are the key moments that led to Trump’s announcement.

September 9: Israel attacks Hamas leadership in Qatar

At about 12:00 GMT on September 9, Israel fired missiles into a residential area of Qatar’s capital, Doha, where negotiators from Hamas were meeting to discuss a ceasefire plan for Gaza put forth by the United States. Senior Hamas leaders Khalil al-Hayya and Khaled Meshaal both survived.

Six people were killed, including al-Hayya’s son, Humam; one of al-Hayya’s office directors; three bodyguards; and a Qatari security official.

Trump’s reaction to the attack was muted – the US president initially said he was “not thrilled” by what Israel had done.

After Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani condemned the attack, calling it “a flagrant violation of its sovereignty and security, and a clear violation of the rules and principles of international law”, Trump said he felt “very badly about the location of the attack” and promised it would not happen again.

However, on the night of the attack, Israeli ambassador Yechiel Leiter appeared to suggest on Fox News that Israel would continue to target Hamas leaders in Qatar or elsewhere, stating, “If we didn’t get them this time, we’ll get them next time.”

September 22-23: Wave of nations recognise Palestinian state:

During the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, France, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Andorra and Belgium all formally recognised a Palestinian state.

Currently, 81 percent of the international community, or 157 of 193 UN member states have formally recognised the sovereign state of Palestine.

These recognitions have added to the mounting pressure on Israel – and its principal ally, the US – to agree to a ceasefire.

Speaking at UNGA, Trump called these recognitions a “reward” for Hamas.

“As if to encourage continued conflict, some of this body is seeking to unilaterally recognise the Palestinian state. The rewards would be too great for Hamas terrorists, for their atrocities,” Trump said.

However, he also stated: “We have to stop the war in Gaza immediately.”

September 29: Netanyahu visits White House, apologises to Qatar

Netanyahu apologised to Qatar for the killing of a Qatari citizen during an Israeli attack in Doha, during his visit to the White House to discuss a ceasefire in Gaza.

The apology was delivered on a trilateral call from Trump and Netanyahu at the White House to Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

September 29: Trump’s 20-point proposal

Trump unveiled his 20-point proposal for Gaza during a White House news conference on September 29 after his meeting with Netanyahu, who was also present at the event.

He said that if both Israel and Hamas accepted the proposal, the war would end immediately, military operations would halt and Israeli captives would be returned within 72 hours.

In exchange for the freed captives, Israel is to release Palestinian prisoners, including life-sentence inmates and all women and children detained since October 7, 2023. Remains of Palestinians are to be exchanged for remains of Israelis.

Under the proposal, Gaza is to be provisionally governed by a technocratic Palestinian committee with oversight from an international “Board of Peace” chaired by Trump, pending reforms by the Palestinian Authority. Hamas is to be excluded from government, but its members will receive amnesty if they disarm, or be provided with safe passage if they wish to leave.

The proposal additionally seeks to dismantle Gaza’s military infrastructure, while launching immediate, United Nations-managed aid and reconstruction of essential facilities.

The plan was welcomed by the Palestinian Authority. The foreign ministers of Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and the United Arab Emirates released a joint statement welcoming the plan.

October 3: Hamas accepts parts of the 20-point proposal

Trump had given Hamas until October 5 to accept the proposal, and Hamas gave its formal acceptance of parts of it on October 3. Trump reiterated that if Hamas rejected the plan, he would fully support Israel to “do what it has to do”.

Hamas’s response stated that the group has agreed to “to release all occupation captives – both living and the remains – according to the exchange formula outlined in President Trump’s proposal, with the provision of field conditions necessary for the exchange”.

It added that it was ready to “immediately enter negotiations through mediators to discuss the details”.

Hamas also said that it was ready to “hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body of independents [technocrats] based on Palestinian national consensus and with Arab and Islamic support”.

October 6 and 7: Negotiations in Egypt

Indirect negotiations over the conditions for a ceasefire deal took place in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt on October 6 and October 7.

October 8: Trump’s Truth Social announcement

On the third day of negotiations in Egypt, US officials including Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and former Middle East adviser Jared Kushner (also Trump’s son-in-law), Netanyahu’s top adviser, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, and the Qatari prime minister arrived in Egypt for negotiations.

Late in the evening, Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had agreed to the first phase of the peace plan, in a post on his Truth Social platform at 23:17 GMT on Wednesday.

Trump wrote: “This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace. All Parties will be treated fairly!”

When Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, it took 250 people captive. Many of these have since been released in various prisoner-exchange deals with Israel. Israel says that approximately 20 hostages are still alive in Gaza, and that the bodies of 28 others are also being held there.

How have previous ceasefire attempts in Gaza fared?

Over the past two years, there have been several attempts to halt hostilities and end the war in Gaza.

  • November 2023: After six months of fighting, Israel and Hamas agreed to a four-day pause in fighting on November 21. They also agreed on a prisoner exchange of Palestinian prisoners and Israeli captives. The truce was brokered by Qatar, Egypt and the US. The truce began on November 24 and was renewed twice before ending on December 1 with renewed violence.
  • January 2024: On January 15 last year, Hamas and Israel agreed to a ceasefire also involving a prisoner and captive exchange. However, fighting erupted again due to unresolved disputes over further prisoner releases and security guarantees.
  • January 2025: On January 18, a ceasefire deal came into effect, which sought to pause fighting and free prisoners and captives. Qatar, Egypt and the US mediated this deal. Israel violated the ceasefire by continuing to kill people in Gaza, according to daily reports from the Ministry of Health. On March 18, Netanyahu unilaterally ended the ceasefire.

Harry and Izzy Judd’s child diagnosed with difficult health condition

McFly star Harry Judd’s wife Izzy has opened up on the challenges of parenting a neurodiverse child who has the difficult condition Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)

Harry Judd’s wife Izzy has shared that one of their three children has been diagnosed with a condition that means you can’t tell them what to do. The 41-year-old, who is mum to daughter Lola Rose, nine, and sons Kit, eight, and four-year-old Lockie, opened up on the challenges she and McFly star Harry, 39, face as parents of a neurodiverse child who has Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).

Widely understood to be a condition found within some autistic people, the PDA Society explains it as “where a person finds it hard to manage everyday tasks or demands, even those they want or need to do.” Speaking on former Love Island star Dr Alex George’s Stompcast podcast, Izzy didn’t reveal which one of her children it was but shared what life was like in their household.

She said: “From the moment a child wakes up in the morning, they are being told to eat their breakfast, get dressed, brush your teeth. And all these anxieties are forming in them – that people are putting pressure and demands on them.”

The former Escala violinist, who was a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent and met husband Harry when her string quarter performed on McFy’s tour, continued: “They don’t respond to authority or hierarchy. They want autonomy, they want to be in control.”

Explaining how her and Harry handle things instead, she shared: “If you flip it and go, ‘I’ve left your clothes out,’ – I actually just don’t even say it anymore. And I don’t ask many questions at all because that’s placing a demand, and a demand is too anxiety-provoking.”

Sharing the diagnosis has forced her to “let go of comparisons” of other people’s opinions on their parenting style, Izzy said: “‘There are quite rigid societal expectations of how children are supposed to behave.

“Initially, I felt the judgement really heavily. You have to go through a kind of grief process that things aren’t going to be as you thought they would be.

“For a neurodivergent child, they’re physically unable to sit. It’s not because they don’t want to – they can’t. But then, as a parent, you’re going: ‘I need to teach my child to sit at the table and say please and thank you.’ What if they can’t look at somebody? What if that makes them feel really uncomfortable?”

She continued: “To the outsider looking in, they might see that as a sort of lazy parenting or a lack of discipline, or whatever it is they want to say.

“I kind of let go of being late a long time ago. The more pressure you feel – ‘You’ve got to go!’ – the more it’s going to slow everything down. Now I just shove them in the car, and if they’re cold, they’ll put on their coat. Once they feel the autonomy that they’re in control, amazing things happen.”

The mum-of-three said the stress of it had led to them doing things like skipping kids’ birthday parties because there are too many behavioural expectations tied to them.

She said: “Birthday parties are hugely challenging. If your child isn’t behaving ‘normally’, you spend the entire time conflicted about how to handle it. So a long time ago, I thought: why am I going to these parties? No one’s enjoying it.

“So we don’t don’t do birthday parties. Also, if we wrap a birthday present, we will say what’s in it. Not knowing what’s inside a present is a big thing – a big demand to open it and then be grateful and then say thank you.”

Calling on schools to do better for neurodiverse kids, Izzy added: “Our classrooms aren’t really inclusive. For a lot of our neurodivergent kids, everything in school is a struggle. It can just take a couple of teachers to really understand your child – that could be the difference between them being able to remain at school.”
