Political Stability, Collaboration, Others Key To Building A Prosperous West Africa – Embalo

Umaro Embalo, president of Guinea-Bissau, claims that West Africa’s prosperity comes from regional political stability, regional cooperation, and other important factors. &nbsp,

Embalo made this statement on Saturday at the Abuja-based West Africa Economic Summit (WAES). &nbsp,

Soares Sambu, the country’s minister of economic, planning, and regional integration, represented the country’s president of Guinea-Bissau, who argued that despite having great opportunities, stability in the region cannot prevent that from happening. &nbsp,

No one of these goals, including economic integration, investment promotion, and innovation, can be achieved by themselves, ladies and gentlemen. At the event attended by presidents, diplomats, and key government figures from the West African region, he said in the nation’s capital that they needed stable leadership, vision, good governance, and above all ownership and collaboration among all stakeholders. &nbsp,

The private sector must be empowered and involved in creating infrastructure, digital platforms, and service delivery, according to the adage, “Governments must work together.” We must engage our international partners, coordinate donor initiatives with national and regional priorities, and prevent duplication by including civil societies, youth, and the diaspora in the process.

In closing, I want to remind everyone that West Africa has a lot of human potential as well as natural resources. We can create a prosperous, resilient region that is more effectively positioned to face both present and future challenges by promoting political stability, peace, economic integration, encouraging strategic investment, and embracing innovation. “&nbsp,

The presidents of Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, The Gambia, Benin Republic, Togo, and Guinea-Bissau all gathered for the summit.
