This travel-friendly stick gives instant ‘glass skin’ and a healthier-looking complexion

If you’re after radiant skin and defined cheekbones in a flash, our beauty editor thinks she’s found just the thing: an easy-to-use highlighter stick from a celebrity’s beauty brand

It seems everyone is after ‘glass skin’ at the moment – that dewy, light reflective sheen to the skin, especially on the high points of the face, that’s universally flattering and youthful. And if you don’t know where to start to achieve this, or the thought of applying lots of layers of skincare puts you off, I think I’ve found the solution.

I’ve never been a big fan of highlighter powders, but I’ve recently come across Haus Labs by Lady Gaga’s Bio Radiant Highlighter Balm, and it’s a total game-changer. This handy crayon-like sticks come in six flattering shades, are super-easy to use, and instantly illuminate the skin in such a flattering way.

Priced at £30 and available from Sephora, these Bio Radiant Highlighter Balms couldn’t be easier to use: simply draw on over or under make-up where required (I like putting them on the tops of my cheekbones and brow bones), then blend slightly with fingers. They can also be used on the eyelids; the tinted shades in particular look lovely on the lids.

My favourite shade is the transparent Pure Glass, which doesn’t add any shimmer or colour, but instead just a lovely luminous glazed look that instantly improves my face in seconds. It’s very similar to the clear end of Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Highlighter and Balm Duo, £50, or Chanel’s Baume Essential in Transparent, £38, and if you’ve always been a bit scared of using highlighter, this is a great place to start; you really can’t got wrong.

Despite initially thinking it wouldn’t suit me, I also really like the Haus Labs Highlighter Balm in Champagne Quartz, and would use this when doing more of a ‘done’ make-up look.

I’ve been really impressed with Haus Labs since trying its viral B Structural Volumizing + Lengthening Mascara, £27, which is the most lengthening mascara I’ve ever tried – in just a few swipes this mascara had my lashes visibly nearly reaching my eyebrows. It also gives dramatic volume – no natural fluffiness here, this is for full-on, spiders’-legs lashes.

For other cheaper alternatives of cream highlighters, you could try Glossier Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter, £22, the mini version of the Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer, £15, or L’Oréal Paris Lumi Le Glass Stick, currently £8.99.

Meghan Markle warned she risks ‘damaging’ brand if major problem persists

Despite Meghan Markle seeing her products quickly sell out, a PR expert has revealed the single biggest cause of her lifestyle brand, As Ever, from which she is a victim.

A public relations expert has warned that customers could grow “frustrated” with Meghan’s brand and the constantly sold out products(Image: Netflix)

Meghan Markle ’s lifestyle brand As Ever could be at risk of collapsing if she keeps doing one big thing, according to a PR expert. Meghan released a series of new products just weeks ago, with the items selling out in a mere few hours. Whether Meghan is selling her famous jams, baking packs or her brand new rosé wine, her products are almost guaranteed to sell out within hours of going on sale.

While many people would assume this to be a sign of great success, Go Up CEO and PR expert Edward Coram-James fears that if it continues, customers could end up feeling “frustrated and let down.”

Mr Coram-James told Express : “The jam selling out does show there’s genuine enthusiasm for Meghan’s products. When handled well, limited stock can create buzz for future releases. But for that to work, the messaging needs to be crystal clear from the start.

Customers are required to be aware that this is a limited-edition item made in small batches. Otherwise, they’ll be let down and frustrated. Recurrent supply issues are a possibility for the brand’s reputation to become damaged over time.

Meghan’s most recent release, her Napa Valley rosé wine, was released last week and retailed for £22. Three, six, and twelve wine orders were required.

Meghan took to Instagram to share her delight in the fact that the wine sold out, writing: “Still soaking it in- feeling endlessly grateful. Cheers to what’s ahead!”

Meanwhile, after her last restock sold out in record time, Meghan was forced to give away some of her famous jams for free to loyal customers who thought they secured the items in an online order.

It emerged that some customers who thought they had secured the £7 apricot spread have now been sent emails telling them that they would not be receiving the products, due to high demand. And to rectify the situation, not only would they be receiving a full refund but also be sent a jar of the spread for free when it is back in stock.

Due to high demand, we are unable to fulfill your order of the apricot spread at this time, according to the email sent to customers. By the end of this week, we will have received a refund for this purchase.

You will be the first to receive the apricot spread when it returns in stock, free of charge, according to the company.

Gino D’Acampo blasted over ‘disturbing’ cooking video branded ‘highly inappropriate’

Under-fire 42-year-old TV chef Gino D’Acampo has angered fans by his treatment of live animals with one vowing to go vegetarian after watching his ‘upsetting’ video

TV chef Gino D’Acampo has provoked fury after uploading an ‘alarming’ cooking video involving two cute live quails.

Gino – battling allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour which has seen ITV drop the star – caused outrage with the clip on social media. Seen before he prepares a meal, the 42-year-old kisses the live creatures in the first shot after grabbing them tight. Then, in the follow up, the Italian dangles the animals’ corpses as Bob Marley’s song Three Little Birds plays, before plating up the cooked quails.

He captioned the video: “And that’s how it’s done!!!… Chargrilled Quails with zucchine and garlic vinaigrette. The perfect summer’s dish… Ask your butcher for quails, try it and let me know.” But his actions have enraged fans, who hit out the telly star for his treatment of the animals. MirrorOnline have approached Gino for his response to their response.

“I’m not a vegan, but this anthropocentric exhibitionism disgusts me,” one told him. Another hit out, saying: “Disturbing and upsetting. It’s like showing a cute puppy and then showing it euthanized.” A third person told the star: “I just feel numb and thinking now about becoming a vegetarian tbh.”

The star took a step away from public life following allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour aimed at him – claims he strongly denies. As a result former This Morning host Gino was removed from ITV’s programming in February. ITV reported that dozens of former staff and freelancers made allegations about working with Gino, calling his behaviour over a reported 12 year period “unacceptable,” “distressing,” and “horrendous”.

Since the allegations, his shows have been pulled from ITV’s schedule. Gino, 48, “firmly denied” accusations of inappropriate behaviour including using sexualised and aggressive language over a period of 12 years made following an ITV News investigation, and it has been reported he is using his time to flog his property.

He said the claims against him were “simply not in my nature”. Amid the reports, it was claimed Gordon Ramsay, his co-star in Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip, had distanced himself from the presenter. But Gino insists they’re still firm friends. Now the Italian presenter has revealed plans to return to telly with a new travelogue, to be filmed later this year.

Responding to the claims in their entirety in a statement to ITV News, Gino said: “I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago. I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied.

“I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me. “Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately.

“I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of. I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting.”

Gino made some crass remarks in radio interview last week as he returns to spotlight. In sexualised comments about women’s bodies, he told show hosts that a “real man” wants women to have “things to grab”, while explaining that he prefers a curvier figure.
