Love Island’s Harrison drops huge Lauren relationship bombshell after villa exit

Harrison Solomon and Lauren Wood make a major life-changing decision in their first joint interview after leaving the ITV2 show.

Love Island star Harrison Solomon has revealed he won’t be returning to America after finding love with Lauren Wood — just days after walking out of the villa in an emotional bombshell exit.

In their first joint exclusive chat with The Mirror, the 22-year-old, who previously lived in the US, said the decision to stay in the UK was easy after the whirlwind of fame, controversy, and romance that followed his time on the ITV2 show.

“As it stands, I’m not going back to America,” Harrison confirmed. “Coming off Love Island, I want to be around people who love and support me — my family, my friends… and Lauren.”

The couple, who were brought together during the infamous Casa Amor twist, have been inseparable ever since. Lauren, 26, entered the villa halfway through the summer series, instantly catching Harrison’s eye despite him being coupled up with original islander Toni. And while the Derby lad’s journey was anything but smooth — involving late-night tears, public backlash, and emotional goodbyes — he insists he has no regrets.

Nearly five weeks prior, when Harrison first walked into the villa as a bombshell, viewers were unsure of his merits. He quickly struck up a relationship with Toni, and the two initially appeared to be good friends.

But everything changed when Casa Amor hit, and Lauren strutted into the picture. “I knew I was going in for Harrison,” Lauren admits. “He’s 100% my type. As cringe as it sounds, he’s my type to a T. But I didn’t expect the connection to be so instant.”

Harrison echoed the sentiment. I had this giddy feeling when I saw her. We quickly developed a mutual interest, and the more we talked, the more we realized. It simply flowed.”

Their chemistry was undeniable — but it came at a cost. Harrison’s decision to bring Lauren back to the main villa shocked the group, especially Toni, who was left single and blindsided. What followed was a tense recoupling, a teary confrontation, and one of the most emotional exits of the season so far.

There is no manual for that, Harrison admits. “Getting to know two people at once is difficult. “I definitely didn’t conduct myself the right way, and I also caused harm.” But it never lacked maliciousness.

After Lauren was dumped from the island, Harrison shocked everyone by voluntarily leaving the villa 24 hours later to be with her on the outside.

“People said I shouldn’t leave, but I knew I had to. That day without her made me realise what I wanted,” he said. “It wasn’t a good 24 hours. I just sat and reflected. I went in to find something real, and I knew that was Lauren.” Since leaving the show, the couple have been adjusting to life in the real world — but without the 24/7 cameras.

We’ve been on good terms, shopping in London, and just having fun together, Lauren said. It’s nice to just be us, not Harrison and Lauren from Love Island.

The pair have already spoken to each other’s families over FaceTime and say meeting in person is on the cards soon. “She spoke to my whole family. We’ll get to boyfriend and girlfriend status in the near future,” Harrison teased. “She wants me to pop the question now.”

Their first official date? He later revealed that “Harry’s just outside Harrods.” We made the decision while staying in the villa, knowing what to do when we left.

However, there haven’t been any selfies or sunshine. After Women’s Aid raised concerns about “misogynistic behavior” during his time on the show, particularly in regards to how he managed to maintain his distance from Toni and Lauren, he faced backlash.

He described the articles as “hard to see” and “hard to see.” I don’t think those labels accurately reflect who I am. I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but none of them were bad. Everyone who is close to me, even Toni, is aware of this.

Harrison apologized for the way things turned out in one of his final villa scenes, and Harrison clearly became emotional during one of his sincere villa conversations. He said, “She told me that I wasn’t a bad person; all she said was that I handled things the wrong way.” That was significant. That conversation was necessary.

Harrison and Lauren insist that their relationship was more than what viewers might have seen despite the show’s one-hour a day schedule.

“People assume it was all PDA, but it wasn’t,” said Lauren. We were actually interacting with one another. Every day, we were glued to each other’s faces. We had genuine conversations, laughed at each other, and clicked on every level, Harrison said. I left because of this.

The couple is taking things slowly but seriously because their relationship is flourishing. Harrison responded, “There’s no pressure.” We’re just taking this chapter day by day, they say.

What about returning to the show? Lauren chuckled, “Not yet.” We’ve seen TikToks and short clips, but when we have the time, we’ll probably binge on it.

Harrison claims that the drama wasn’t the hardest part; rather, it was unintentionally hurting people. I once felt a pain after caring for both girls, and I’m aware of how indecisive I was. That’s the thing I regret most about. He also recognizes that something real has come of being in it. I left Love Island with the goals I set out to pursue. That was everything I could have requested.

On ITV2 and ITVX, Love Island airs every night.

Ozzy Osbourne revealed his favourite ever song and it’s not Black Sabbath hit

Ozzy Osbourne shared his all-time favorite songs, and while it’s not surprising that The Beatles frequently appear, fans might not be surprised by his number one choice.

Ozzy Osbourne and his pioneering metal band Black Sabbath inspired hundreds of big-name musicians over decades of rock excellence.

Fans might expect a man with such talents and reputation to have impeccable music taste, but the one song Ozzy labelled his favourite song of all time might surprise you. Long before his death on Tuesday (July 22), Ozzy revealed the one song he favours above all others – and it’s not a Black Sabbath tune.

It’s not one of his many excellent solo tracks, in fact. Even though I’m a self-proclaimed Beatles fan, it’s likely even a surprisingly surprising fact that the Fab Four doesn’t even write music.

Ozzy chose Procol Harum’s spine-tingling 1967 masterpiece A Whiter Shade of Pale as his top choice, Ozzy claimed. Osbourne explained why this song resonated with him in a 2009 composition for NME’s publication Inspired By Music, which features celebrities choosing their favorite songs.

He said, “I immediately become enthralled when I hear that haunting melody on the Hammond organ.” A Whiter Shade of Pale, which was released in 1967, quickly dominated the UK charts for six weeks.

It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998 and is still one of the few recordings that has sold more than 10 million copies. The track’s eerie atmosphere is unique for Ozzy, which arguably echoes the eerie elements in his own compositions.

Procol Harum holds the top spot, but Ozzy’s last two songs show the depth of his musical influences. He revealed his favorite songs from that era in a conversation with Rolling Stone in 2004 and gave an insight into the tracks that had shaped his life and career.

The Beatles’ A Day in the Life is the star of the selection. Ozzy remarked, “It transports me to a magical period in my life.”

Beyond this single track, his admiration for The Beatles extends. Additionally, he chose Yesterday and Hey Jude as two of his top picks, with “Hands down, one of the greatest songs ever written.”

He remarked, “I would have loved to have heard the working-title version of Scrambled Eggs,” applauding the simplicity of the latter’s original title. John Lennon’s song “Imagine” comes in second place behind Ozzy’s list due to how deep and consistent the song is. He declared, “This song will never get old for me.”

Third place goes to another McCartney hit, “Live and Let Die,” which the singer describes as “a f*ing great song. I love it”!. Money, a classic Pink Floyd song, brings back vivid memories of Ozzy’s wilder years. “Reminds me of my LSD days. He recalled how happy he was that he had survived.

Ozzy is also deeply moved by Mountain’s Mississippi Queen, which recalls Black Sabbath’s first US tour. He shared that this one reminds him of my first encounter with Black Sabbath on their first U.S. tour.

Unsurprisingly, Ozzy recalls the profound impact Dazed and Confused had on him and Led Zeppelin’s Dazed and Confused made it onto his list.

He said: “My world stood still the first time I heard this.” The Animals’ hit Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood has long been a favourite for Ozzy, who considers it to have “always [been] a favourite”.

The rock legend also praised Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which he added to his collection.

Dragons’ Den winner used Covid loans to buy £1.3m mansion in star-studded village

Rick Beardsell, the winner of Dragons Den, has been sentenced after being found guilty of using Covid loans to finance the purchase of a £1.3 million home in a sought-after village in Cheshire.

A Dragons’ Den winner has been sentenced after pocketing Covid loans to buy a £1.3 million mansion. Rick Beardsell, who had previously received a £75,000 investment from TV Dragons Tej Lalvani and Deborah Meaden in 2015 for his successful protein shake bottle business, ShakeSphere, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended for two years, after prosecutors told a judge he had since paid all the money back.

The 46-year-old father of two was only permitted to apply for one Bounce Back loan, which would be up to £50, 000, but he knowingly applied for two before exaggerating his annual turnover by up to 23 times.

In order to help pay for the purchase of a five-bedroom property in Prestbury, Cheshire, which is home to a number of celebrities, Beardsell illegally used two Covid business loans worth £100,000 to help finance the purchase of a five-bed property. He has also won a total of seven gold medals for GB in the World Masters Athletics Championships.

The dad-of-two was supposed to use the taxpayer’s cash to help his other firm, which sells sportswear, but none of the money he was given went to the company, reports the Mirror’s sister title, the Manchester Evening News.

Instead, he used the Covid loan funds to pay off his mortgage and transfer cash to family members in order to purchase a £1.3 million house in Prestbury.

After admitting two counts of fraud, Beardsell, who held the fastest record for a 36-year-old in a 400-meter sprint at the 2015 WMA and who held the fastest record for a 36-year-old in another court, was sentenced to three years in prison. He was, however, given an 18-month, two-year prison sentence.

For his protein shake bottle business, Beardsell had previously made wise investments from TV Dragons Tej Lalvani and Deborah Meaden, which helped him achieve worldwide sales of more than a million shakers over the course of two years.

In connection with his other business, Sports Creative Ltd., according to Geoff Whealan, prosecutor for the Insolvency Service, Beardsell submitted phony applications for Bounce Back Loans to HSBC in December 2020 and then to NatWest in January 2021.

The defendant claimed on the HSBC form that Sports Creative’s turnover was £485,000, while NatWest’s claimed it was £320,000, despite unaudited financial statements that revealed a £20, 622 turnover for the year ending February 2020. He continued, ” “

Rick Beardsell
Beardsell’s counsel Nichola Cafferkey said in mitigation: ‘The loss of his good character is of some significance in respect of a man who has dedicated his life to his family’(Image: Instagram/ricky_racer_)

The turnover was obviously exaggerated in order to obtain the maximum bounce-back loan, and subsequent transactions demonstrated that Sports Creative’s funds were not being being used for economic gain or business purposes at the time. ‘

According to Mr. Whelan, “The bounce back loan funds had actually been used for this purchase,” and it can be inferred from the defendant’s behavior that at the time he applied for them. However, the defendant has repaid the bounce-back loans to each bank in terms of repayment.

The loss of a man who has dedicated his life to his family, his professional endeavors, and also his sporting endeavors is of some significance, according to Beardsell’s attorney Nichola Cafferkey.

Roman Kemp ‘calls out’ Olly Murs after awkward on-stage moment

After the pair took part in a celebrity darts tournament in London, the One Show host was reflecting on a recent appearance with Olly Murs.

After the pair recently appeared together on stage in front of tens of thousands of people, Roman Kemp of The One Show has criticized Olly Murs.

Celebrities and darts pros faced off earlier this month to see who would win the Hyde Park Darts Championship in a game of darts.

The new competition, created by the PDC (Professional Darts Corporation), saw Roman join fellow celebs including Olly Murs, Dion Dublin, and Joe Swash, who were each partnered with a darts pro such as Luke Littler and Luke Humphries.

Reflecting on the eagerly fought contest in a recent episode of his You About? Roman recalled his impressive performance by throwing two “triple 20s” during a podcast with Tom Grennan.

The radio host explained how Joe Swash and his partner Fallon Sherrock emerged as deserved winners after narrowly escaping the top spot and making it all the way to the finals.

He did explain that the celebrities had initially been lulled into false security by Joe before he went on to win the competition: “He kind of hustled us a little bit, because in the little area beforehand, we were all just practicing and he was c**p.”

He expressed regret for the preparation of one of his fellow celebrities for the occasion by saying, “I’m going to call Olly out here. He showed up with a shirt with his name printed all over it.

Then, he continued, “He had his own weighted darts that had his name on them.”

However, Roman claimed that the singer “went out first” and that “Olly’s got to step that up,” despite being fully prepared for the occasion.

Roman has recently gained acclaim in broadcasting despite not having tried his hand at darts. He switched radio for television last year when he began co-hosting several programs, including The One Show, after co-hosting the Capital Breakfast show for the first time.

Topshop is relaunching with a top London supermodel as the new face of campaign

Topshop have named model Cara Delevingne as the face of their new relaunch. The collaboration will reflect her London roots and the connection she has had with the brand for many years

From the late ’90s through the 2000s, Topshop wasn’t just a store – it was a destination(Image: SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images)

With many eagerly awaiting the return of Topshop, it looks like the wait is nearly over. While the brand has been exclusively at ASOS for a while now, it’s largely been tucked away among the 800-plus labels they carry. But now, Topshop is stepping forward to reclaim its fashion-forward spirit, bringing a fresh energy with global style icon Cara Delevingne as the face of its relaunch.

From the late ’90s through the 2000s, Topshop wasn’t just a store – it was a destination. It was a place where youth, style and identity collided. But after its parent company went into administration, it disappeared high streets across the United Kingdom and beyond.

Now, recognising the gap it left behind, Topshop is returning with a curated 30-piece edit that captures the shared aesthetic of both Cara and the brand. The edit aims to be confident, individual and distinctly modern.

Cara, chosen for her long-standing connection to the brand and as a born-and-bred Londoner, said: “As a London girl, Topshop was the place where fashion felt fun, fearless, and full of possibilities. Coming back to Topshop now is more than a return – it’s about starting something new. This collection is about owning your style, your story, and feeling empowered to express that every day.”

The collection channels Cara’s signature London edge – effortless yet elevated, with sharp tailoring, statement outerwear and reimagined denim staples. A monochrome palette runs through the edit, punctuated by hits of rich avocado green to give it a fresh seasonal feel.

The team at Topshop described the collaboration as more than just a campaign, saying: “It’s a statement of intent as we reintroduce Topshop to the world. We’re bringing together cultural relevance, design credibility, and a new energy that speaks to how people want to dress today.”

Topshop’s Managing Director, Michelle Wilson added that the model’s involvement with the relaunch harmonised with everything Topshop is as a band. She said: “Cara is the perfect embodiment of the Topshop spirit – bold, creative, and unapologetically herself.” she added

Balancing structure and softness, the collection pairs strong silhouettes with fluid fabrics offering fashion that feels just as empowering as it looks.
