The Grand Tour shake-up as original trio ‘replaced by younger and cooler new hosts’

There is now rumors about Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond hosting The Grand Tour, who could replace them on the show.

There’s speculation over the line-up for the Grand Tour, with news hosts said to have signed up. It’s been teased that Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond’s apparent replacements are “younger” and “cooler”.

Jeremy, 65, James, 62, and Richard, 55, hosted the Prime Video show together from 2016 until it ended last year. They are looking back over it in four special episodes though. One has aired so far and it was previously announced that the others will be released “later this year and into 2026”. It has now been reported that their replacements for the Grand Tour have been decided. It’s claimed that Thomas Holland and James Engelsman – who run the Throttle House channel on YouTube – will front the motoring TV show with viral trainspotter Francis Bourgeois, 24, moving forward.

Thomas and James are just as knowledgeable about motors as Jeremy, Richard, and James, according to a source close to the Sun. They are also younger, cooler, and much more social media savvy. Francis has a reputation for his love of trainspotting, and he will be bringing his humor to the program.

Throttle House, a brand with over 3 million YouTube subscribers, is owned by Thomas and James. The pals post “everything from car reviews to track tests to epic adventures” on the channel. The channel was founded by Thomas in 2013, and James later joined as a presenter in 2018.

Francis – whose real name is Luke Nicolson – instead rose to fame through TikTok in 2021. He’s known for posting content about trains, including footage of himself trainspotting, and has more than 3 million followers on the platform.

He was being considered for the Grand Tour, according to earlier this year’s reports. “Francis is a big noise online, and Amazon producers are hoping to mainstream him,” according to a source close to the Sun. Francis is a mechanical engineer by training, but he also knows his stuff.

The latest speculation about the line-up comes after former host James May suggested that a younger generation should take the helm of motoring shows like the Grand Tour. He spoke about stepping back on Australia’s ABC News in March.

He said, “It was probably time for us to stop because we always said we would land it… we would land it with dignity, not fly it into the cliffs,” before suggesting that he wouldn’t reunite with Jeremy and Richard in this role. That’s how we used to discuss it. It was probably the right time to stop because we had already flown it into the cliffs several times.

He suggested that the former Top Gear presenters are “getting on a little bit” when it comes to the future. Then, according to him, a “younger generation” should adopt a “new way” to talk about motoring rather than their potentially “dated” perspective.

He said at the time, “We’re getting on a little bit. Our understanding of the subject is likely getting a little outdated. A younger generation needs to reevaluate it and come up with a fresh perspective on topics like cars and transportation in general.

James said he wasn’t sure “exactly” how, but that “someone out there” might be able to. He stated in the interview, “I don’t know how they’re going to do it exactly, but I think there must be someone out there.”

Bargain Hunt aficionados were left feeling miffed as they settled down for the latest instalment of the fan-favourite BBC show.

With renowned auctioneer and TV personality Charlie Ross guiding the ship alongside antiques aficionados Caroline Hawley and David Fergus, the episode captivated viewers and transported them to Norfolk, particularly King’s Lynn and Swaffham.

Fans took to social media to express the déjà vu afflicting the program as soon as Charlie introduced the competing red and blue teams.

Disgruntled viewers expressed their dismay online, saying that “Bargain Hunt is so predictable.” requires a complete overhaul. #bargainhunt would be the first to get rid of Charlie Ross.

Complaints didn’t stop there, with another viewer chiming in during their midday break: “Just sat down at home to have some lunch with the wife before moving on to my next job and she’s watching Bargain Hunt on @BBC – I cannot believe that utter drivel is still going and it’s not changed since it first started!”, reports Cornwall Live.

A disgruntled fan added, “@BBCBargainHunt love this program but editing a little off today.”

Unfortunately, the red team’s varied collection, which included a Norwegian brooch, a vintage typewriter, and some dinner-service china, sadly failed to bring in the desired sum of money, leading to a disappointing £40 loss.

Lorraine continued to be upbeat, saying, “Ah well, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, despite their items not turning a profit and ending up with £58 down. To win over the bidders, the blue team relied on a vintage table football game, a captivating blue vase, and two silver treasures.

Tom Daley reveals manager warned him against coming out and first move he made on Dustin

Retired Olympic diver Tom Daley reveals details of his relationship with Dustin Lance Black and why he was made to feel he should not come out as gay by his manager

Tom Daley made the first move on his now husband Dustin Lance Black – but was advised not to come out as gay by some managers advising his career.

The Olympic diving star, 31, reveals details of their relationship and explains why he came out in a YouTube video 11 years ago as part of a new documentary about his career.

He met Dustin Lance Black during a low point in his diving when he was suffering from a lack of confidence, but that didn’t stop him making a play for Lance.

Tom says: “I got to a really low point with my diving where I thought I wasn’t going to be able to keep going like I didn’t see the point in carrying on. Meeting Lance, he kind of inspired me to want to carry on. Inspired me to want to be great at what I do. He inspired me to want to be the best person that I could be. It was really special, because I think it was the first time that I realised that being attracted to men wasn’t just a sexual thing. I actually could fall in love with a man.”

Lance says: “My phone, he puts his number in, and when he hands it back and I look at it, he’s put a winky face at the end of his phone number. No heterosexual man has ever put a winky face at the end of their number when they give it to another dude!”

Explaining how they bonded, Lance adds: “The first things we started sharing were about the fact that he had, not so long ago lost his dad. I had not so long ago just lost my big brother, who was like my dad, because I never had that. I had recently won an Academy Award. He had won his first Olympic medal.

“We were able to share with each other the post accomplishment blues and devastation, the way that when you win something you only ever dreamed about, there’s something inside you that disassembles and has to be put back together, and that there’s almost no one on the planet you can share that with, because people think, Well, gosh, you should be so grateful.”

But the relationship was not straightforward as Tom was not out as gay at the time they met and his management seemed keen to keep things that way.

Tom explains: “I remember organising a party and telling my management he (Dustin Lance Black) was coming. They said to me, ‘Oh, be careful of being photographed with Lance, because, you know, he is, like, a really big LGBT activist. You don’t want people thinking that you’re gay’. And I was like, ‘oh, would that be so bad? Like, okay’. And then I was, like, suddenly filled with shame.“

He later adds: “We had all kinds of crisis meetings about how we were going to deal with this. You’re gonna lose all your sponsorship. You’re gonna lose all your fans. Like, how are you ever gonna be able to compete in the Middle East, in Russia, in all of these countries? Kind of filling me with like, fear about what I should and shouldn’t do.

“It’s a really scary thing to have to feel like you are a slave to the culture in the media that we have in the UK, which can be really quite scary, knowing that I was gay from the age of three years old, and constantly having to live my life as somebody else, and putting on this person that I wasn’t was exhausting, and that was when I decided to come out publicly.”

On the pressure Tom felt to not come out from his management, Lance says: “You’re mismanaging one of the most important parts of who this person is, their heart, their love, their future relationships and families. That’s mismanagement. That’s a dereliction of duty, and he (manager involved) should have been dropped.”

Speaking in Tom Daley 1.6 Seconds, the diver also says he feels free now of pressure having retired and is looking forward to new adventures with Lance and their sons Robbie and Phoenix. “Only time will tell what my next journey will be,” Tom says.

“But I’m sure it’ll be filled with just as many highs, just as many lows, but I know for right now, spending time with Lance, Robbie and Phoenix is my priority.

“After my dad died, I was trying to fill that void. Looking back on it all, I realised that not doing it just for myself, being able to do it for my friends, my family, my teammates, my country, gave me the determination that I needed to be able to get through my career. I’m excited to see what the future holds. What, me, my boys and Lance achieve in the future.”

Savage comment from diving boss that led to Tom Daley ‘body dysmorphia and bulimia’ issues

In a forthcoming, candid portrait of his life, Olympic champion diver Tom Daley has been revealing the harsh treatment he received from sports executives during his campaign to capture the gold in an upcoming movie about his life.

Tom Daley explains his eating disorders and how he got sick.

Emotional Tom Daley has revealed in a new documentary how he was ordered to lose weight by sports bosses and it contributed to him having an eating disorder.

In March this year the Olympic diving star, 31, had told for the first time how he suffered from “all kinds of different issues around body dysmorphia and bulimia” during his career.

He goes further and explains what transpired in his new movie, though. In Tom Daley’s 1.6 seconds, he states: “At the end of 2011, I was told by our performance director at British diving that I needed to lose weight, that I needed to look slimmer, leaner, and more like I did in 2008; it was the first time I felt valued more than how I looked, but rather how I looked. Let’s say I took some very drastic measures to prevent the food from sticking in my stomach.

In the weeks leading up to the Olympic Games, I had a diary in which I would write my weight and date, but a rational person would know that I wasn’t fat. I felt like I was being kind of left on my own devices and kind of left with that struggle by myself because even when I was meeting with my sports psychologist, I was struggling to bring that out because every time I said it out loud, I knew it would sound silly, but in my head, it was the biggest thing I would always think about, every time I made a decision about what to eat, if I was going to eat it and then become so enamored that I had to do something about it.

Tom goes on to say that being alone throughout the early years of his career, he struggled to be open about how he felt to others.

He continues, “I still feel like ashamed talking about it now because, like, once you’re on the other side of it, it seems so simple to stop and ask for help, but when you’re in it, you feel like you can’t be helped,” he continues.

“Guys didn’t have eating disorders. Guys’ mental health was unaffected by anything. Guyanese were created as these macho creatures that would get into trouble whatever and just keep going. I didn’t know who I could talk to because I wasn’t. I felt very alone in every situation I was dealing with, which is the main theme here.

Sophie Lee, Tom’s close friend, also makes reference to the stresses that he was going through. She claimed that the eating disorder was more significant than the amount of stress and anxiety he was experiencing when he arrived in London in 2012.

Tom, the most decorated diver in the world, won five Olympic medals at the end of his career. When he first competed in Beijing at the age of 14, he returned five times to Paris last year, where he won a silver medal, and his two sons Robbie and Phoenix saw him in the Olympic pool.

He won a bronze medal at London 2012 shortly after receiving heavy jibes from British diving executives.

He and his wife Dustin Lance Black, their sons Robbie and Phoenix, spend more time at home now that he has retired from diving.

Tom says in the movie, “My entire life has been about diving.” Those 1.6 seconds have been my life’s goal since birth. I would not change a thing after four years of training for a task that would pass in less than ten seconds.

“I’ve had the best time, met the most amazing people, and traveled to incredible places, and it’s been the best 23 years that I can imagine.” Although there have been times when I felt like I couldn’t continue, it has also been incredibly difficult and challenging. I kept going.

“I think the one thing that I’m looking forward to is having the opportunity to share this with Robbie and Phoenix and preserve that memory for the rest of my life,” he said. I feel very fortunate to have people who can now make me feel completely at ease with anything and everything.

“But I think that also comes from letting my guard down, because my guard was up for the longest.”

*On June 1st, Tom Daley 1.6 Seconds will be available on Really and TNT Sports.

Inside JoJo Siwa’s cosy night in with Chris Hughes as they reveal unexpected date activity

Chris Hughes, the former Big Brother housemates of Love Island, and JoJo Siwa, the singer and actress, recently shared a cozy night out.

Fans have been given an insight into JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes’ relationship this week. It comes after the former Celebrity Big Brother housemates reunited just a few days ago when JoJo made her awaited return to the UK.

JoJo, 22, and Chris, 32, have continued to update fans on their relationship following reports last week that they were seen kissing in Mexico. There had already been much speculation over their relationship in recent weeks after they grew close whilst in the Big Brother house last month. This week, they have given fans a glimpse at what they have been up to together following JoJo’s return to the UK. Chris took to Snapchat this morning to reveal that they were watching Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? together.

He posted several clips of them watching Sunday night’s episode of the ITV show. The footage centred on the million pound question, which faced contestant Nicholas Bennett, who made it all the way to the final question on the quiz show.

Which of these phrases, each coined by a well-known author, was derived from the title of a fairy tale about three princes? Pandamonium, serendipity, utopia, and yahoo were the response options that were given to him.

Chris declared, “This is the million dollar question,” in his opening video. He still has two lifelines. This is incredible. JoJo teased Nicholas by saying that she and Chris “must” get the right response before continuing to make comments.

Nicholas ended up choosing “yahoo” as his response after using his remaining two lifelines. However, it was discovered that “serendipity” was the correct response. Chris said “s***” when JoJo responded by saying “no” when Chris said “s***”!

Chris continued to share the response of one of his followers, who wrote, “Told ya! Serendipity ! You and Joelle met in that manner. “Serendity” ! He provided a definition for the word, which read, “The occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.”

The former Love Island star read out the message he had received from the fan to JoJo – whose first name is Joelle. JoJo said: “And that was the million dollar question.” She added: “That’s really cute.” Chris agreed, commenting: “Really is.”

Chris had teased JoJo that he was cooking a meal just before those posts. Later, he shared a picture of a table with their meals, one with a lit candle next to their bowls and a vase of roses on the side.

JoJo told fans earlier today, “I’ve genuinely never had anything better,” despite appearing to post about the same meal. And she later wrote, “Longggg day on set made worth it for this,” in addition to a clip of Chris cooking in the kitchen.

JoJo also paid tribute to Chris in a Q&A on Instagram tonight. When asked to share her “favourite thing” about him, the former Dance Moms star said: “Gosh lots of things, but the first thing that comes to my mind is the way he treats everyone.”

She continued, “Strangers, friends, family, me, literally everyone. Nobody has ever acknowledged everyone in the room as openly as he has always. Everyone greets you, and everyone answers, “How are you doing?” He is a beautiful, beautiful soul.
