Katie Price fumes she’s ‘discriminated’ against as she gives update on finances

Former glitz model Katie Price has claimed that she is discriminated against because she revealed details of her life since being freed from her two bankruptcies earlier this year.

Katie Price has shared her frustrations following her two bankruptcies as she claims she is discriminated against. The former glamour model, 47, has been open about her financial woes over the years.

She has gone through two bankruptcies in the course of her turbulent six years of financial struggles. Following a significant tax debt totaling more than £750,000, the second occurred.

However, in March she revealed she has been discharged from this – and is now ready to enjoy successes in the future. Katie, who once had a fortune of £40million, has still been hit by the consequences of her bankruptcies despite being cleared.

The mother-of-five, who recently departed from her Mucky Mansion, has revealed that her financial situation is still putting strain on her life. Katie acknowledged that she had trouble finding a new home after the move.

Due to her well-known finances, she claims that estate agents “blackmailed” her name. Katie claimed she would be contacted by agents when she claimed properties had been rented to someone else after she expressed interest, but that they were still up for rent.

It has left Katie believing she is being discriminated against as she tries to move forward. Speaking on the Katie Price Show podcast, Katie said: “I love it how I have gone through all what I have because I will get there again.

You just can’t get anything when you have been in bankruptcy, which is just a problem I have. I make such high salaries, which is incredibly annoying. It doesn’t matter if you earn the money, but I do, like I did in the past, really well.

There is nothing you can do once you discover that your name has a black mark on it, she said. When someone recognizes my name when I rent a home, it is discrimination.

They say, “Oh no, no,” and I respond, “Oh is it because of what you’ve read?” ‘. Does it really matter that I have the funds and am willing to pay upfront? Its name is discriminatory, and it turns people off.

Katie’s financial situation was initially estimated to be worth £40 million when she was declared bankrupt for a year in December 2019.

In a bid to pay off her debt, she agreed to pay a staggering £12,000 per month to creditors. Unfortunately, this strategy failed, and Katie returned to court in July 2020 to testify at a bankruptcy hearing about how much she was living in rented out housing.

In a brief hearing at London’s Rolls Building, Insolvency and Companies Court in March 2024, Katie was declared bankrupt a second time.

At the hearing, it was revealed that Katie owed HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) £761.99 and that she had not responded to her debt in the past.

Earlier this year, Katie revealed she has been discharged from her bankruptcies as she celebrated: “I’m so happy. I can finally move on and leave these bankruptcies behind me, focusing only on the positive. Thank you to everyone who supported me throughout this process.”

Is Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs’ new movie The Salt Path based on a true story?

Jason Isaacs and Gillian Anderson play a married couple who make a 630-mile walk after going through a number of transformative experiences, but is the new film based on a true story?

The Silver Path stars Jason Isaacs and Gillian Anderson.

The new film, The Salt Path, narrates an extraordinary and uplifting tale about a couple who undertake a challenging journey after facing a series of severe hardships.

Raynor and Moth Winn – portrayed in the film by Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs – found themselves homeless in the same week that Moth was diagnosed with a rare terminal illness, given a maximum of five years to live. Instead of succumbing to these adversities and surrendering, the duo decided to traverse the South West Coast Path, an experience that proved to be incredibly rejuvenating, as they encountered the generosity of strangers along their journey.

Indeed, the film is based on the real-life story of the couple Raynor and Moth Winn, as recounted by Raynor in her memoir bearing the same title. It follows their 630-mile coastal journey along the South West Coast Path after being evicted from the farm they called home.

Jason
Jason Isaacs’ walking boots are on.

In August 2013, Moth received a devastating blow from a terminal diagnosis of Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD) in the same week they discovered themselves without a roof. When Raymond first learned about the Southwest Coast Path guidebook, he thought it was their last chance to liberate it.

Moth’s condition began to improve as they continued their walk, and he is still with us more than ten years later, having only been given five years to live at the time of his diagnosis.

Rebecca Lenkiewicz’s screenplay adheres to Raynor and Moth’s remarkable story’s true events, with minor creative adjustments. The final script, according to Raynor, was stunning, moving the story forward on a powerful new journey while keeping the essence of the original.

Gillian and Jason are no strangers to portraying real-life figures, from Margaret Thatcher to Cary Grant. However, in an exclusive chat with RadioTimes.com, the duo divulged that embodying individuals away from the public gaze presented a unique set of challenges.

According to Anderson, “It’s unquestionably less stressful and pressure.” You want to act respectfully and obviously do what they want to do. However, it’s not quite as intense as, say, working with someone who’s in the spotlight as much as, say, Emily Maitlis or something else.

Because the general public won’t go, Isaacs reaffirmed, “Well, that’s not like them.” We also really like them, though. The story of Ray and Moth is truly inspiring. They are two amazing people. Because of the messages that they contain, such hope, belief, and compassion, the books are so successful, and rightly so.

You also want the audience to feel the same way when we met them, when we read their stories, and as moved and inspired by their stories as you do. “

When meeting Raynor and Moth, Isaacs explained that he was more interested in understanding what the couple was like than in imitating their personalities. He admitted that he is never going to be as tall and attractive as Moth because he is an extraordinary man. I was just curious to know, “What is inside him?” When I met him, I noticed that he was eager to make everyone else feel at ease.

Gillian
The Salt Path brings Gillian Anderson back to the big screen with a new series.

He jokes about everything, even though he was talking to me for a while about how terrible his condition is and where it will end naturally was because he wanted to ease me. So he constantly made me laugh about it. She said, “That’s a quality I could leave with and that’s what I looked for.” Anderson said that Raynor’s narration of her memoir’s audiobook was key to transforming her character into a whole.

She expressed, “It felt like I was fully immersed in her rhythm and personality.” Her accent is unusual. Their accents are both quite distinctive. And it was a challenge to me. In the end, you kind of choose what feels natural and non-obtrusive, and hope that that impression will make them recognize themselves.

Zoe Ball’s stark warning to Scott Mills when he took over BBC Radio 2 job

Before he began playing the role on the legendary show, breakfast show host Scott, who took over in January, claims Zoe had a few words of wisdom for him.

Scott Mills has revealed that Zoe Ball gave him a stark warning before he replaced her on BBC Radio 2, telling him: “It’s a lot – you’ve always got to be on.”

Scott, 52, was unveiled as the new Breakfast Show host last year after the shock news Zoe was stepping down after six years at the Radio 2 helm. And in spite of more than two decades of experience on the airwaves, he admitted he still struggles with the pressure to deliver the best show possible. Scott told the Mirror: “The show is a lot, it’s hard work. It’s a treadmill every day.

When Zoe finished, she said, “Look, doing breakfast on Radio 2 is quite a lot. You have to be on, and it’s quite demanding. She was correct. The number of guests we have is increasing constantly. I was like, “I’m ready,” when she said it to me. And I’m at my happy place, too.

“But pressure is obviously present. If you’re not feeling any pressure, you probably shouldn’t be doing that job, in my opinion. That is, however, good. I constantly put pressure on myself, and I have that inherent in me. Far from it, I’m feeling any boss pressure at all. However, I want to produce the best show possible.

You’re only as good as your last show, according to an old saying (I’m not sure if it’s an acting phrase)? And I admit that it’s a little old-fashioned, but I do agree. I get really annoyed if I’ve had a bad show for reasons that a listener might not even notice, such as when I tripped over my words. You can get beaten up about it.

Scott has previously admitted to having battled severe anxiety and depression as a young man and has spoken out about his struggles with mental health. And he revealed that despite continuing to experience dark periods while speaking this week on the new Mercedes-Benz Vans podcast Under the Bonnet, he uses exercise to cope.

According to Scott, the podcast host, “I definitely lean into exercise to improve my mental health.” When I don’t do it, I’ve really noticed. I was the last student chosen for a sport at the time, but that’s not my thing. It’s more like a bit of a high that you get after you’ve been than it is about that feeling. And I’m doing it now, after watching the Breakfast Show, because I’ve spent the last few years dealing with depression and anxiety.

Thankfully, there hasn’t been much change, but I can already tell when a dark period is about to break out. I make time for exercise because, to be honest, it has helped me know.

The first podcast specifically geared toward van drivers in the UK is called The Under the Bonnet. The 30-year anniversary of the Sprinter and the discussion of the Under the Bonnet report, which examines how van drivers have grown to be a benchmark for contemporary Britain, are the topics of the new series.

According to the report, the typical van driver only talks about five times a day while the average person only talks about 27. And 80% attributed team sports to improving their mental health.

According to Scott, “I could really relate to that because of my own experiences.” Some of the drivers I spoke with described how lonely it felt to drive for 20 hours straight.

And it made me think of the time I was a presenter on the radio when I was making my way up. When I was 16 years old, I was first hired on radio in Southampton, and a radio station in Bristol later asked me to relocate there. I therefore relocated to Bristol without knowing anyone. And I spent my entire time on my own, aside from the time I was putting together my show. I moved from Bristol to Manchester, and I mean, I’ve never been north of Birmingham; I’m a true Southerner.

“So once again, you uproot your life, you rent a flat and you don’t know anyone. And this is, like, early 1990s, so mobiles weren’t really a thing. You weren’t really in touch with people, you know, day-to-day. I can remember my Mum coming to visit me, and crying because I was so lonely. She asked if I was going to put a Christmas tree up, and I told her I would, but that no-one would see it. It was a very isolating time.

I made those decisions to advance my career, but I constantly wondered, “At what cost? ” You don’t realize that as you’re working it out, despite the fact that it all worked out great. People will now tell me, “Oh, you’re on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show,” but they are unaware that I’ve worked so hard for years to climb that ladder.

“To be honest, it still boggles my mind that this has occurred to me. We’ve only just begun, and it’s been four crazy months since I took over the show.

Scott, who wed his wife Sam Vaughan last year, is also celebrating his first wedding anniversary off the air this month.

He explained how their partnership works because they support one another, and revealed plans to whisk Sam away to their Spanish wedding venue.

He continued, “Our first year has been fantastic. And I’ll explain why it’s been wonderful because it’s so simple. We just help each other out whenever we can, which is the way it should be. Me and him are a fantastic team. With Eurovision, etc., it’s been a busy time lately.

However, I enjoy it, and I enjoy returning home after grueling days, with everything just being normal and calm; that sense of security that someone is there for you. It’s so beautiful.

Last night, we were talking about this, and I said, “That’s been a pretty good first year of marriage.” And I mean, it’s whipped past, passing quickly.

I’m taking him back to Spain this weekend where we got married. He still hasn’t learned this, so we will travel there tomorrow.
