Paris Fury turning down dozens of jobs for one reason despite ‘being in demand’

Paris Fury – who starred with Tyson Fury and their family in Netflix’s At Home with the Furys – is said to be ‘in demand’ at the moment and she’s reportedly ‘selective’ with jobs

Reality TV star Paris Fury is said to be “in major demand” at the moment. It’s been reported that she’s being “selective” over work opportunities lately though and has previously turned down several projects to focus on her family.

Paris, 35, has pursued various opportunities in her career in recent years, including having released two books. She’s also collaborated with fashion retailer New Look and appeared alongside her family in the docuseries At Home with the Furys, which was released through Netflix two years ago.

It’s now been suggested that she turned down projects last year though amid her husband Tyson Fury, 36, being away from Paris and their children whilst training abroad in his boxing career. The author however is now said to have some “exciting things in the pipeline” in her own career.

A source told the Sun that Paris is a “powerhouse” who’s “in major demand” at the moment. They added: “She has turned a lot of things down so she can be with her children as much as she can.”

It’s further claimed that Paris has been “working closely” with her management over her career prospects. The source told the outlet that some of her team are parents too, so they can “appreciate the balance” she wants in her life.

Paris is said to have been “offered loads of projects” since gaining a “massive fanbase” from her family’s reality TV show. The source however said that she’s “taking it slow” over her career ahead with the help of her management team.

The source added that Paris is “being really selective” about her projects. They claimed that this was particularly the case last year when her husband Tyson was away training for months as part of his title-holding boxing career.

It’s reported that she prioritised their kids whilst Tyson was away, during which time she privately dealt with the loss of their unborn baby. Paris, who was six months pregnant, has previously shared that she initially kept the news from Tyson as he was in Saudi Arabia preparing for a match.

The source said: “Paris went through a terrible time when she lost her baby at six months’ pregnant. There were certain opportunities she felt she couldn’t take on at the time, but has a lot of exciting things in the pipeline.”

They further told the outlet that “first and foremost” Paris is a “dedicated” parent who will “do anything” for her children. The source said that she is “really enjoying” building her career though and is looking forward to the future.

According to the Sun, it’s believed that Paris was offered a presenting role at one point. The outlet further suggests that other opportunities have included two reality TV shows and being involved in “other homemaking programmes”.

Strictly’s Kai Widdrington’s huge statement with new girlfriend with sweet post

Strictly Come Dancing pro Kai Widdrington has gone public with his new partner Chloe Wells in a post on social media, nine months on from his split from co-star Nadiya Bychkova

Professional dancer Kai Widdrington has gone public with his new romance. It comes following speculation that he was in a new relationship nine months on from his split from Strictly Come Dancing co-star Nadiya Bychkova.

Kai, 29, has been rumoured to have begun a relationship with executive assistant Chloe Wells since the end of his romance with fellow dancer Nadiya, 35. And it was reported just days ago that him and Chloe are preparing for their red carpet debut as a couple and could move in together.

The pair have now gone become ‘Instagram official’ in a joint post on the platform this afternoon. Kai and Chloe shared a photo of themselves looking cosy whilst out together in the post to their respective followers. Kai is seen wearing a black jumper and dark trousers whilst beside Chloe, who’s pictured wearing a brown dress and holding a champagne flute.

Alongside the photo, the pair – who reportedly began a romance after meeting at a pub in London – teased over their “happiness”. The caption of the joint post read: “Happiness is underrated.” It included a black heart emoji.

The post was liked by several of Kai’s colleagues, including Gorka Márquez and Luba Mushtuk. Some pros from the show reacted in the comments section, like Jowita Przystał, who posted a heart-eyed emoji as her response.

Fellow pro Lauren Oakley instead wrote beside a red heart in her reply to pal Kai’s post: “Cuties.” Whilst former contestant Tasha Ghouri, who reached the final last year, wrote in a comment on the platform: “Sooo happy for you.”

Fans also reacted in the comments section. One person wrote: “Awh I’m so happy for you both.” Another follower responded to the post: “Beautiful couple.” Whilst someone else wrote: “Ahh. Love this. So happy for you Kai.”

It comes after a source told the Sun recently that Kai and Chloe were preparing to “go public” with their first red carpet appearance together. The source said that they “hit it off from the start” and that office worker Chloe has “no interest in the limelight”. The source said: “They have a real laugh together and although it’s early days, they’re planning on moving in together in the coming months.”

It’s thought to be Kai’s first relationship since he split up from fellow Strictly pro Nadiya. The former couple began dating back in 2022 – whilst both on the BBC dance show – but their break-up was then announced last summer.

Speaking to the Mirror at the Pride of Britain Awards months later in October, when asked about the break-up, Nadiya said: “We work together but we are not friends and that’s ok. One thing I can tell you is that when you see me dancing with him it will be amazing because I’m a professional.”

During their relationship, Kai – who joined Strictly in 2021, four years after Nadiya made her debut on the show – paid tribute to his then-partner. He spoke about her in an interview with Hello magazine, published in 2023.

He said at the time: “She’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, but the real beauty is not just what you see on the outside – it’s the person on the inside I fell in love with. People often misjudge her and just see a stunning blonde girl, but she’s more than that.”

Kai went on to describe Nadiya – who has a daughter, Mila, from a previous relationship – as an “amazing mother”. He told the outlet in the interview two years ago: “She’s the kindest person I’ve ever met in my entire life, and the most amazing mother.”

PHOTOS: Iyabo Ojo’s Daughter, Prisciilla Ties Knot With Tanzanian Partner In Lagos

Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo, has officially tied the knot with her Tanzanian heartthrob, Juma Jux, in a grand traditional wedding ceremony.

The much-anticipated union, held on Thursday, was attended by several top names in the Nigerian entertainment industry, drawing both admiration and online buzz.

The Lagos ceremony follows their intimate customary wedding held in Tanzania earlier in February.

The event was graced by numerous Nollywood stars, including Mercy Aigbe, Destiny Etiko and Toyin Abraham, who were spotted assisting with the event and dancing joyfully with the guests.

One notable appearance was that of 83-year-old legendary Juju musician Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey, whose presence thrilled attendees.

For their Nigerian traditional celebration, the couple dazzled in vibrant ensembles of purple, orange and pink. Priscilla wore a long-sleeved, asooke blouse paired with a dramatic, layered skirt adorned with sequins and stones. She completed the regal look with a purple gele and matching ipele.

The Tanzanian singer complemented his bride in a striking agbada made from matching purple asooke, featuring orange and gold embellishments. His royal blue cap with orange accents and a purple staff, topped with a carved map of Africa, added symbolic depth to the ensemble.

The bridal party added extra colour to the occasion, with the groomsmen sporting pink agbadas and the bridesmaids dressed in stylish pink traditional attire with gele headwraps.

Several clips circulating online captured the couple performing their traditional marriage rites. The decorated hall had a dreamy and heavenly ambience.

Before Thursday’s wedding, videos also showed Jux’s family in numbers flying down to Nigeria for the occasion.

Love Story

In a pre-wedding interview with BellaNaija Weddings, Jux expressed his joy at finally marrying 24-year-old Priscilla.

“It’s exciting — a dream come true. From the first day I met Priscilla, I knew she was an amazing soul,” the singer said.

Further speaking on their love story, the 35-year-old revealed, “I knew instantly she was the one. I couldn’t wait to put a ring on her hand.”

In her interview, Iyabo shared her thoughts about her daughter’s choice: “I knew Juma was the one, seeing how international he is about family. I always hoped Priscilla would get married in her early 20s.”

The actress’s estranged husband, Ademidun Ojo, also made headlines after flying into Lagos for the wedding celebration. In a trending video, the bride’s father was seen warmly greeting guests at the venue where he was lodged. Another heartwarming clip showed him embracing his new son-in-law, symbolising the union of two families.

Despite their separation, Iyabo and Ademidun came together in matching traditional outfits to support their daughter. A viral video captured the former couple dancing side by side, exuding grace and unity.

The festivities began with a private introduction ceremony held in Tanzania, attended only by close friends and family. Just before Valentine’s Day, Juma Jux proposed once more — this time with a bigger ring — in a romantic moment shared online.

The couple held a civil wedding a day later, attended by celebrity friends including Toyin Abraham, Chioma Good Hair, and Enioluwa.

Jux began his music journey as a rapper at 16 before signing with A.M. Records in 2008. Known for hits like “Sugua” (with Diamond Platnumz), “Juu” (with Vanessa Mdee) and “Regina” (with Otile Brown), Jux has collaborated with several African artistes, including Gyakie, Bien, Zuchu, Joh Makini, and Marioo.

Before dating influencer Priscilla, Jux was in high-profile relationships with Vanessa Mdee and Karen Bujulu. He officially confirmed his relationship with Priscilla in mid-2024 after sharing romantic photos on Instagram that sparked widespread speculation.

With their union now sealed in both Tanzanian and Nigerian tradition, fans across both nations continue to celebrate what many are calling a modern African fairytale.

Freddie Flintoff left with ‘crippling anxiety’ as he opens up on Top Gear crash

Former Top Gear host Freddie Flintoff speaks about the impact of the crash he had whilst working on the BBC show in 2022 in this weekend’s episode of the Jonathan Ross Show

Presenter Freddie Flintoff has spoken about the impact of the crash he had whilst working on Top Gear three years ago. The cricket coach has also revealed that he experienced “crippling anxiety” amid getting back into the sport.

Freddie, now 47, was left with life-changing injuries after being involved in a crash during filming of the BBC show at its test track at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey in 2022. A car that he was travelling in is said to have flipped over.

As a result of the incident, the presenter, who was airlifted to hospital, had facial injuries and he’s said to have also broken ribs. BBC Studios, who makes the show, which has since been “rested,” later said it had apologised to him.

And it was announced back in 2023 that BBC Studios had reached an “agreement” with Freddie following the crash. As previously reported, it was not funded by the TV licence fee, as BBC Studios is a commercial arm of the BBC.

BBC Studios said about the settlement at the time: “BBC Studios has reached an agreement with Freddie that we believe supports his continued rehabilitation, return to work and future plans. We have sincerely apologised to Freddie and will continue to support him with his recovery.”

Freddie – who opens up about the experience in the new Disney+ documentary Flintoff – will be seen discussing the aftermath of the incident on the Jonathan Ross Show this weekend. The former England cricket captain is a guest on Saturday’s episode of the ITV show alongside Jason Isaacs, Rebel Wilson, David Oyelowo, Sophie Willan and Wet Leg.

Speaking about having returned to cricket as a coach for the England Lions, Freddie tells host Jonathan Ross: “I think, with everything that’s happened over the past few years, that’s the one place I feel most comfortable.” He adds: “I feel like I’m back home being involved in cricket.”

Freddie continues: “No secret that I had a car accident filming Top Gear. Afterwards, obviously there’s the physical scars that I’ve got. But then the mental side of it. I didn’t leave the house for probably six or eight months. The only times I was leaving the house was for medical appointments and surgeries.”

The guest recalls that one of his pals Rob Key later started inviting him to watch test matches from a “back room” that’s not in the crowd. Freddie, who recalls wearing a “full face mask for months,” says that he started “getting back into it” and finding his feet “a little bit”.

He shares that cricket “embraced” him again at a time when he “probably needed it most”. Freddie says that he still does TV work, adding: “I’ve got bills to pay.” However tells Jonathan that coaching cricket is his “definite future” and that he’s “loving it”. He suggests that it’s the “one place” where he’s able to “forget everything that’s going on and be present”.

Discussing getting back into cricket, Freddie says on the talk show: “I was struggling with crippling anxiety. I had to have about five or six goes at leaving the room. Had to have a chat with myself in the mirror. I think because I’d not done anything for such a long time. I’d not shown myself without a face mask to anyone. It was like starting again.”

The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday night at 10.20pm on ITV, ITV, STV and STV Player. Flintoff will be released on streaming platform Disney+ from April 25.

Rebel Wilson admits she regrets daughter’s unique car-inspired name

Rebel Wilson was already set to welcome little Royce when she met her now-wife Ramona Agruma, but two years on has shared that ‘she probably shouldn’t’ have given the girl such a high-end name

Rebel Wilson welcomed her daughter via surrogate in November 2022, and gifted her with a one-of-a-kind name

Rebel Wilson has admitted having second thoughts about her daughter’s name. The Australian actress welcomed her only child in November 2022, and shared that the unique moniker may have been a mistake for one hilarious reason. Actress Rebel, 45, welcomed daughter Royce Lillian via surrogate as a single mum, after making the decision to freeze her eggs as she approached turning 40.

While Royce has an unforgettable name, Rebel revealed that as her daughter grows, she might be fitting the title all too well. The star is set to appear on The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend, and told that ITV host that the big name is giving Royce a big personality.

“Her name is Royce. I probably shouldn’t have named her after a British luxury car brand, she’s a bit high maintenance,” Rebel jokingly shared, confirming the connection to fancy Rolls-Royce wheels.

“She’s two and a half now. She’s conned me into massaging her feet before she goes to sleep. I was doing it last night for almost an hour. I said, ‘I should have called you Volvo.’ I don’t know why I got suckered into that.”

Rebel got married to fashion designer Ramona Agruma last year, and also told host Jonathan about how her sister Liberty was the one to officiate their wedding.

“My sister has a side hustle as a wedding celebrant. The show wedding was in Italy and then we got legally married in Australia. My sister, she had a busy week, she married me and then she married my mum the next day. We didn’t pay her, she’s really upset about that,” she shared.

Ramona and Rebel got engaged in February 2023, and first had a gorgeous ceremony in Sardinia, Italy, in September before following up with more vows in Australia in December.

While Ramona is now also a mum to little Royce, Rebel previously shared that she was on the way to welcoming a child when she first met her wife-to-be – but Ramona wasn’t put off by the surprising news.

“I’d already been planning to use a surrogate to have a child and I’d done several rounds of IVF and I had one embryo transfer, which sadly didn’t work,” she said of her solo pregnancy journey.

She added: “Almost right at meeting Ramona, I was planning on the second embryo transfer, and I was like, ‘Babe I don’t know how to tell you this, but I’m going to have a child kind of around November.’

“Ramona just looked at me and said, ‘Well, I love you and if you have a child, I’m going to love your child exactly the same way.'”

Callie Twisselman on Dolly Parton advice: ‘She said to make sacrifices like her’

Callie Twisselman opens up to the Mirror about her love of Dolly Parton, life growing up on the ranch, song-writing and what the future holds in a wide-ranging chat while on her UK tour

After wowing at C2C: Country to Country, at London’s O2 Arena, the future looks bright for Callie Twisselman.

We caught up with her for a spot of lunch in the capital in the middle of her UK tour which has been going down a storm. From signing a deal with Dolly Parton’s manager, to growing up on her family’s seventh-generation grain and cattle ranch in California, Callie opened up about life in the spotlight….and what the future holds.

Country music is a massive over here…how have you found playing C2C again? So many have come up to me from the last time I played, saying they had been following my career ever since. It’s so humbling.

In terms of your creative process, how do you go about writing music? Are you quite set in your ways? I’ll take something off the top of my head, and then just kind of start with a melody on the guitar and then write the lyrics. But sometimes it’s like, (my manager) Danny telling me, ‘Hey, that’s a good song title…why don’t you roll with it.’ So I do!

Article continues below

Do enjoy the lyric writing process? I’ve written songs since I was 15, and I started out with poems, so words have always been kind of an easy thing for me, but I also enjoy it a lot. Sometimes you’ll get writer’s block, and then it’s aggravating, but it hasn’t happened too much, thankfully.

Is your music quite autobiographical? Sometimes it can feel like I am writing in a diary. So it can be a lot of your own experiences, but then you do have to make them a little more interesting sometimes, and jazz them up a little bit.

Do you find that process of putting some of the more personal lyrics out there quite nerve wracking? When I was first starting out, I felt like I had to hide certain things, as I didn’t want people to think that about me. Then I learned along the way that the more open you are and honest, the more people can relate to that.

You’ve met Dolly Parton quite a few times…what was that like and what advice did she give you? She’s always so sweet. She talked to me about sacrifice, and how that was one of the things she said she had to do. And if you want to get to where you want to be, you have to sacrifice things

What have you sacrificed? I’ve sacrificed relationships. Just focusing on the music takes you away from time with family or loved ones. But you have to make choices.

Has that been hard, though, making those decisions? I had to move away from California, and that was a tough one at first. But then I love Nashville, because it’s Music City, and it felt like that’s where I was meant to be. So that was a good, tough choice.

You interviewed Dolly on International Women’s Day and she talked about how she leaned on her family…have you done the same? They’re very supportive. My parents and my siblings have always supported my music. My mum was trying to be a singer when she was younger, and I was in a local country band, and so her and my father have always loved country music, and I think they live vicariously through me.

Can you recall your mum when she was singing? I remember I’d have the tambourine, and she would sing Patsy Cline and all that sort of vibe. I thought I want to do that, so I started singing the national anthem everywhere. I was 10.

You moved to Nashville from California to follow your musical dreams. Were your parents worried? My mum was, of course, nervous. She was like, ‘you’re going 2000 miles away from home.’ But they were very supportive about the music, and I knew it’s always what I wanted to do, and they just always encouraged me to chase my dreams.

How close are you to them? I talk to them every day on the phone if I’m not with them or I visit California every couple months. I help out on the family ranch when needed

What does helping out on the ranch look like? Well, we have cattle, so I help vaccinate them, or move them to another field and check their waters. We have horses too. I love to just do my part.

Were you ever minded to do that full time? (laughs) It’s always gonna be there if I need it.

Callie Twisselman
Callie Twisselman is managed by Dolly Parton’s manager(Image: Instagram/callietwiss)

When the opportunity came to work with Danny Nozell (Dolly Parton’s manager) did you jump at the chance? Absolutely. Danny met all my family and really loved them. I remember him saying ‘there’s sharks out there and you can’t be taken advantage of.’ He’s been great ever since.

We talked about the creative process, and occasionally you get writer’s block. What do you do in that situation? I try not to force it, because I know when that happens, nothing good comes out of it. Not good music. I just take a break and live a little bit – not too long, because I obviously want to keep writing – but try to get inspiration. So then it’ll come out naturally. But then co-writes always help too. If you are stuck, other people can give some ideas.

A lot of people look at people like Taylor Swift and how she keeps evolving musically from country to pop and even into folk. Has there ever been any sort of pressure on you to adapt your sound? No pressure ever, really. But like I also grew up loving Shania Twain and she was able to cross over. And I’ve always loved both genres – country and pop – and I don’t want to be put in a box. I just want to make music and hope that people like it.

Last year, you released In My World, before joining forces with Dolly and fellow country singers Maddie & Tae and Jessie James Decker for the Diane Warren-penned single Gonna Be You. What’s next? We’re working on tour dates, and looking to release music every six weeks. Keep pumping out my new music.
