Olly Murs, a former X Factor star, performed a surprise duet with Anastacia on Radio 2 in the Park and shared a moving tribute to his late friend Caroline Flack.

Olly Murs replaced one pop diva for another during his slot performing at Radio 2 In The Park today.

The singer, who recently became a dad for the second time, brought Anastacia on stage to perform his 2015 song Up, which he originally performed with Demi Lovato.

During his set, Olly also paid tribute to his late friend Caroline Flack. The dad-of-two, who hosted The X Factor for one series with the late Love Island presenter, dedicated a song in her honour and admitted he still gets emotional thinking about her passing.

Olly assured the audience that despite only rehearsing twice, they would deliver a “flawless performance” before taking Anastacia off stage.

Olly remarked to his hometown audience, “Essex, it’s good to be home – it’s good to be back in Chelmsford.” By inviting Anastacia to perform his 2015 hit “Up,” which was originally a duo with Demi Lovato, on stage,lly surprised the fans.

He also expressed his joy just three days after having his second child. Wife, I’m so sorry I’m here at Hylands Park with all these lovely people, he said to his partner at home. I promise to be home when I finish loving you.

Olly paid tribute to Caroline Flack, his late friend, in his song “Dear Darlin’,” and acknowledged that it was one of his most difficult songs to sing since her passing.
