Binky Felstead seen sitting in police car as she shares details after scary roadside incident

Made in Chelsea star Binky Felstead was filmed being looked after by the police after a terrifying car breakdown.

Binky, 34, seemed to be enjoying a day out with her MIC co-star Rosie Fortescue, 34. Their relaxed outing took a sharp downturn, however, when Binky’s four-wheel drive gave up on them.

Rosie broke the news on her Instagram stories, filming Binky as she covered her face while sitting in the vehicle. The car’s horn wouldn’t stop blaring, and an incoming police car grabbed even more attention from passers-by. “SOS @binkyfelstead we’ve broken down,” she wrote.

In another clip from Rosie, she joined Binky in the car and asked: “What happened, Binks? ”

Binky was shown with her back turned to all the car windows, and explained: “I’m too scared to look out of the window, there’s lots of angry people driving past,” as her friend laughed. Rosie added “Tatters,” on top of the clip of her embarrassed friend.

Binky then shared a post of her own, showing her view through the windshield. The photo showed that she was stuck at the entrance of a busy roundabout, stopping holidaymakers from getting to Heathrow and commuters making it to central London. “Probably one of the worst places to break down in London. Mortified,” she wrote, alongside a facepalm emoji.

Things got even wilder in the final video, showing both Binky and Rosie sitting in the back of a police car. The friends were giggling with embarrassment in the car, with Binky covering her face as she stood out in a bright yellow high vis jacket.

“Always a first! ” she wrote over the clip, hilariously adding the song ‘Sound of da Police. ’

Thankfully, Rosie posted an update later on, sharing a photo of herself posing at celeb hotspot Soho Farmhouse. “Made it! ” she exclaimed.

While Binky stayed in high spirits during her roadside troubles, she recently admitted she was struggling with changes in her family after her mum Jane Felstead’s diagnosis with MS (multiple sclerosis).

“I haven’t got to grips with the new relationship yet, the dynamics change so much so when she comes over, she’s like another child again. She needs help with cutting her food, she can’t go to the loo on her own, she can’t do anything on her own anymore. It’s a huge amount of change,” she said on Beyond Chelsea, which she stars in alongside Rosie and fellow MIC alum Lucy Watson, 33.

“It’s a lot to witness when you see someone you love so much deteriorate so quickly,” she shared, adding, “I’m missing a mother, my mother, she’s the mummy I used to have, of course she’s still my mother, but it doesn’t feel the same anymore. ”

Binky divulged: “I’m finding it really weird even seeing her in a chair and giving her a hug and kiss, it doesn’t feel like it’s the same person. “

I’m A Celeb GK Barry’s breakfast superfood could help you achieve dream figure

GK Barry, who’s real name is Grace Keeling, shared a look inside her daily eating habits with Closer magazine. The 25-year-old, from Cambridge, said that although she’s usually on-the-go with a hectic work schedule, she still makes time for a filling breakfast – including a food that’s packed with protein and fibre.

She told the magazine: “I’m constantly on the go with work so my eating habits change daily. For breakfast, I usually keep it simple but nutritious – I’m a big fan of granola. “

You’ll typically find granola in supermarket cereal aisles. Just like cereal, there are dozens of ready-made flavoured varieties on offer, but some people prefer to opt for a plain version and build their own custom bowl in the morning with different toppings like yoghurts and fruits.

It’s widely reported that granola is a filling option to eat in the morning due to it’s high protein content. Consuming plenty of protein can lead to a reduction of a hormone known as ghrelin, which can help you feel fuller for longer. This can stop you from snacking unnecessarily and reduce your calorie intake – potentially helping you lose weight and reach a healthy physique.

Besides its high protein, granola also contains a lot of fibre, which slows down how quickly your stomach empties itself. By increasing how long you digest food for, you’ll also feel more content and less likely to snack through the afternoon.

In the same interview, Grace shared that her local supermarket of choice is Waitrose. Using the own brand variety Waitrose Berry Granola, it states a typical portion contains nearly 5g of protein and just over 3g of fibre. However, there will be differences between other product ingredients. That might mean more or less protein/fibre per portion.

Depending on the ingredients that make up shop-bought granola, you could gain additional benefits. For example, certain granolas that contain flax seeds have been shown to help reduce blood pressure.

Granola contains many nutrients, including iron, zinc, magnesium, B vitamins, vitamin E and plant-based protein from oats, seeds, and nuts. Dried fruits in granola contain antioxidants.

Granola can be healthy in small amounts, but it depends on the brand and ingredients. The cereal can become a very calorie dense option which may lead to weight gain. The same portion of high protein granola from GK’s local shop also contains 7. 5g of sugar (per 45g portion) which is more than a 45g bowl of Cornflakes that has about 5g per portion.

Many store-bought granolas are high in calories, saturated fat, and added sugars. Even “natural” sweeteners like honey can add too much sugar. You could always make your own healthy granola at home. But to choose a healthier granola, you can:

  • Read the nutrition label and look for one that’s high in fibre and low in saturated fat and sugar
  • Check the ingredients list to make sure it’s made with whole ingredients like seeds, nuts, and raisins
  • Look for granolas with less than 3 grams of added sugars and no more than 8 grams in total sugars
  • Choose granolas containing olive or avocado oil over those containing palm or coconut oil

So, as with all foods, it is important to make sure you don’t overconsume for the sake of health. Eating things in moderation will help to counter against possible problems.

While low-sugar granola could help you lose weight by keeping you filler for longer, it is not a miracle cure. It is always best to speak to your doctor before making any drastic lifestyle and diet changes, especially if you have a medical condition.

Sinead O’Connor’s relationship with late son Shane examined in heartbreaking detail in new inquest

An inquest into the death of Sinead O’Connor’s son has revealed some heartbreaking information following the sudden loss of the Nothing Compares 2 U star last year.

Sinead, 56, died just 18 months after her son, Shane, 17, whose body was found in a secluded area at the back of a housing estate in Ireland on January 7, 2022. The Irish singer, who formally identified her son’s body to gardaí, died suddenly from natural causes in London.

Sinead and her son had a ‘complex and turbulent’ relationship but were also very close and ‘in some way dependent on each other throughout their lives’, an inquest into Shane’s death has heard in heartbreaking detail.

At the time of Shane’s death, he was due to be under supervised 24/7 one-to-one care. Dublin District Coroner’s Court yesterday heard the teenager had been brought to the emergency department by his mother on December 29, 2021 after a drug overdose, in what was believed to be an attempted suicide.

Speaking about his daughter’s relationship with her son, Sean O’Connor, described how Sinead and Shane were “very close”. “They loved each other madly,” he said, according to MailOnline.

Mr O’Connor revealed how the singer was also suffering mental health issues around the same time of her son’s death. “She was not in a position to do more than she did, which was a lot,” he added.

The inquest heard staff were not available to provide the 24/7 supervision for Shane prescribed by the hospital’s doctors. A senior social worker with Tusla, Joyce Connolly, told the second day of the inquest yesterday that Shane and his mother had a ‘complex and turbulent’ relationship but were also very close and ‘in some way dependent on each other throughout their lives. ‘

Ms Connolly said the singer hoped to resume full-time care of her son and there were ongoing discussions to see if that might be possible.

The inquest heard Shane had been under the care of Tusla, the child and family agency, since 2015 and had been fostered by his half-brother, Jake Reynolds – the late singer’s eldest child – and his partner, Lia Petcu, between July 2016 and May 2018 before being placed in residential care facilities.

Aoife Scanlon, a manager of the New Beginnings residential care centre in Newbridge, Co Kildare, where Shane had lived since March 2019, said he had settled in well to the facility for the first year. Fighting Ms Scanlon fought back tears as she recalled Shane as ‘a lovely, lovely lad. ‘

She observed that he had found approaching his 18th birthday ‘a very daunting experience’ as he would no longer have access to specialist health and welfare services for young people.

“He struggled with being in care for a good while but he knew he needed a level of support,” she added. Ms Scanlon also remarked: “He was so intelligent, so smart. He knew he could make it in life and would have spoken to that. “

Closing the inquest, Dr Gallagher said the hearing had involved ‘very complex evidence’ which was also ‘very arduous and harrowing’ but expressed hope it had been of some value to his family.

The coroner acknowledged that Shane had suffered in his short life but that he had hoped as he matured that he could ‘move through this time of crisis. ‘

She said she could only imagine the shock of his death to his family, noting that he would have celebrated his 21st birthday next March.

Liam Payne’s little-known nickname for ‘mini me’ son Bear resurfaces

In the wake of Liam Payne’s tragic death, Cheryl, paid tribute by touching on the harrowing reality their son now faces with ‘never seeing his father again. ‘

The former couple, who first locked eyes when the Fight For This Love singer was a judge on The X Factor, welcomed their son Bear a year after dating. Announcing their happy news, Cheryl revealed they hadn’t yet picked out a name, but after declaring his moniker, a nickname among the parents soon stuck.

On March 25, 2017, Cheryl posted to Instagram with a picture of the 1D star holding their newborn. She wrote: “On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. “

She continued: “We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever. “

Liam later admitted that he wanted a more ‘traditional’ name, whereas Cheryl preferred something more unique and memorable. Explaining the inspiration behind their choice, Cheryl told The Late Late Show that their midwife affectionately called their son ‘little bear’ in the delivery room.

“He had this thing where if they don’t have a good cry, they get fluid in their lungs, which is quite serious, so he was like going ‘grrrr. ‘ I had like 10 doctors come in the room, and in the end, the guy was just like, ‘Dude, I’m not being funny. There’s nothing wrong with him. He just likes to make a lot of noise. ‘ And that’s carried on ever since, so he just became Bear. “

However it took a while for Liam to get on board with the unusual name, revealing he had doubts to begin with. “When I look at him, he’s just Bear. At first, I wasn’t really having it. I was like, ‘I’m not really sure. I don’t really understand. ‘ Now I look at him and he’s Bear. You become your name as you get older anyway. “

The doting dad-of-one soon came up with his own nickname for the youngster, as revealed in a Q& A with fans backstage at B96 Radio Station in Chicago just two months after the birth. One fan recalled: “He said his proudest moment was Bear and said at first he called him Cub a lot. “

It’s understood Bear looks strikingly like his dad, as detailed by Liam in a 2020 interview with People magazine. Liam shared: “He looks exactly like me, which is very strange. When family members see baby pictures of me now, they say, ‘Oh wow, Bear looks really great there! ‘”

Earlier this year, in August, Liam made a rare comment about his son while celebrating his 31st birthday. He told his followers in an Instagram video: “I didn’t get any dad socks yet though. I’m going to speak to my son in a little bit which I’m really excited about. Bless him. He’s getting so big now. He’s a big boy and he looks like a mini me. As if we needed any more me in the world. “

The former One Direction star tragically plunged to his death from a third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16. A body was found in an internal patio of the boutique Casa Sur Palermo hotel shortly after 5pm local time. It was reported he suffered “severe injuries which were incompatible with life”.

Following Liam’s heartbreaking death, Cheryl took to Instagram to post an unseen picture of him with Bear as she made an emotional statement. The Girls Aloud star begged for some kindness and respect to be shown for Liam as she highlighted the harsh reality that both she and their son now face.

Her post read in full: “As I try to navigate this earth-shattering event and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I’d like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being. Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son.

“A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again. What is troubling my spirit the most is that one day Bear will have access to the abhorrent reports and media exploitation we have seen in the past two days. It is breaking my heart further that I cannot protect him from that in his future. “

She added: “I am begging you to consider what use some of these reports are serving, other than to cause further harm to everyone left behind picking up the pieces. Before you leave comments or make videos, ask yourself if you would like your own child or family to read them. Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of his death to rest in some peace at last. Thank you, Cheryl. “

Prince Harry and Meghan’s ‘slap in the face to monarchy’ investigated in new documentary

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be back in the spotlight in the coming weeks thanks to a new documentary from Germany.

On 3 December, the German network ZDF will air Prince Harry – The Lost Prince, which promises to take a closer look at the couple’s life in Montecito and their search for relevance following their exit from royal life in January 2020.

It has been made by award-winning Ulrike Grunewald, who travelled to California with a team to gather insights from the neighbourhood where Harry and Meghan live with their two children.

The film explores the divide in public opinion about Harry and Meghan – and the impact of their sudden exit from royal life. “The Royal Family has to deal with difficult developments and regroup after ‘Megxit’, the death of the Queen and Charles and Kate’s cancer. What role will Harry play in the future? ” ZDF has stated.

At the time they quit royal life, Harry and Meghan were criticised in many quarters of the German media. The Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper said: “Meghan and Harry’s decision is an affront to tradition and the expectations of the British public,” via the Daily Mail. And Die Welt newspaper said: “The withdrawal of Harry and Meghan is a slap in the face of the monarchy and its supporters. “

Ahead of the documentary’s release, filmmaker Ulrike told the Express that the programme will also scrutinise Meghan’s evolving reputation – something that might not sit well with the Duchess.

“She [Meghan] might be embarrassed about the amount of criticism she now gets even in communities that used to back her after the decision to leave the Royal Family as a working member,” she said.

Ulrike further noted that while many individuals involved with Prince Harry’s Invictus Games have allegedly questioned Meghan’s role and attitude, others remain hopeful about the couple’s potential.

“At the moment it is hard to see any big achievement of their Archewell Foundation, which claims to work for the improvement of communities,” she said. “But there are still voices who see the high potential of the couple not only for the British monarchy but also for a liberal society. “

Certainly Harry’s future role will come under careful examination. In the promotional material for the documentary, ZDF stated: “Even in his self-imposed exile in Montecito, California, he remains a figure of public interest. His commitment to charitable organisations – such as the Invictus Games he founded for wounded servicemen and women – always puts him in the spotlight. “

However, the documentary will also touch on Harry’s shift from being a beloved royal to a hugely polarising figure: “King Charles’s second-born, once the Windsors’ most popular royal for a time, is now a controversial figure. He has always struggled with his role as a ‘reserve’. “

Mel B, who was previously married to film producer Stephen Belafonte, has recently failed her attempt to have his defamation lawsuit thrown out of court. Stephen is suing Mel over accusations she made about him being abusive and controlling during their marriage, claims she shared in interviews and her autobiography, Brutally Honest.

In September, Mel’s legal team asked the court to dismiss the case, but the request was denied. Mel left her marriage to Stephen in 2017, accusing him of domestic abuse, which he denies. Stephen, 49, has said that authorities investigated the claims but no charges were filed. Regarding his £3. 9 million libel lawsuit in Florida, he said: “I am ready to prove Melanie’s statements about me are false. ”

Mel’s lawyers argued that the case should never have been brought to court, as it was an exercise of her constitutional rights. The couple, who were married for 10 years, share a 13-year-old daughter, Madison.
