Gregg Wallace whistleblower claims ‘nothing was done’ when she raised concerns

When concerns about Gregg Wallace’s behavior were first raised, a former TV producer asserts that nothing was done.

The 60-year-old MasterChef judge has been accused of acting inappropriately while producing his BBC shows in recent weeks. Wallace, who has hosted MasterChef since 2005, has already denied all the allegations against him through his representatives, but took actions into his own hands on Sunday morning.

He attacked criticism of him on Instagram and claimed he had no complaints in his 20 years of television work. Wallace, who resigned from the show last week after a probe into allegations of his conduct was launched, described his accusers as “a few middle-class women of a certain age” and claimed that some of the women on MasterChef had made their own sexual comments.

Georgia Harding, a former producer on MasterChef between 2014 and 2015, claimed this week that Wallace “made inappropriate sexual jokes” in front of his coworkers and guests on the shows. Harding claimed that she was the first production official to discuss his alleged behavior in public.

The producer claimed that Wallace’s treatment of contributors “appeared to be acceptable behavior” and that “nothing was done” about it despite the claims that she raised concerns. Harding said: “It was like ‘ oh that’s Gregg'”. She claimed he “spoke about sex a lot” and “would get changed on set despite having a changing room” to The Telegraph.

In his Instagram Stories videos, Gregg challenged the accusations against him and said: “I’ve been doing MasterChef for 20 years. Amateur, Celebrity and Professional MasterChef. And in that time, I have worked with over 4, 000 contestants of all different ages, all different backgrounds, all walks of life. And apparently now, I’m reading in the paper, there’s been 13 complaints in that time. A select few middle-class women of a certain age are expressing their opinions in the newspaper, just like Celebrity MasterChef. This isn’t right”.

He continued in a second video: “In 20 years of television, can you imagine how many women, female contestants, on MasterChef have made sexual remarks or sexual innuendo. Can you imagine”?

And in a further video message to fans, he commented: “This is important to me. Twenty years of doing Celebrity MasterChef, Amateur, Professional, Eat Well For Less, Inside the Factory… Do you know how many staff, all different sorts of staff, can you imagine the people I’ve worked with? How many employees criticized me during that time, exactly? … Absolutely none. Zero. Seriously”.

It is entirely false that Wallace engages in sexually harassing behavior, according to Wallace’s attorneys. Additionally, the BBC said in a statement that “we take any issues that are brought up with us seriously and have effective solutions.” We are always making it clear that any behavior that does not meet the standards set by the BBC will be tolerated.

When an individual is employed by an external production company, we communicate any grievances or concerns to that organization and will always assist them when they are contacted. We wouldn’t be able to make any comments on anything that might affect or be related to Banijay’s ongoing investigation.

Strictly’s Anita Rani reveals ‘cripplingly sad’ Christmas which completely changed her life

Anita Rani, a television presenter, described her “catastrophically depressing” Christmas as the catalyst for her anxiety and frightful panic attack.

The 47-year-old, who regularly hosts Countryfile and Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, revealed how she miscarried in 2018 while still dating Bhupi Rehal, who she announced she split from in September 2023.

However, Anita claimed she continued to live at 100 mph as she had always done rather than slowing down and trying to deal with what had happened. Her loss finally began to come to light when Christmas arrived, which is the only season she has two weeks off from work.

The telly star, who first appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015, described it as “a Christmas like no other,” claiming that it ultimately completely altered her outlook on life and how she lived it.

Anita claims that since having a miscarriage, she sees the world differently.

Writing about her experience in Red magazine, Anita shared: “I was working at my usual crazy pace, except I was also having a miscarriage. My body was experiencing something very real while I was filming War On Plastics and Countryfile all over the country, hosting events, and getting ready for the Strictly Christmas special. Although it was very depressing for both me and my husband, I didn’t slow down and instead chose to process it properly at Christmas because there was so much going on at work. The truth is, I didn’t process it over Christmas”.

Antia described how she “dusted it off and came back as my old self” after she ignored it. But something didn’t feel right. She occupied her time with doing things after going to the pub, which she doesn’t advise anyone to do. For Comic Relief, one of these activities was climbing Kilimanjaro. But she had a full-fledged panic attack halfway up.

Concerned for her health, Anita convinced herself she had an illness. And despite having numerous blood tests and medical tests, no one was able to diagnose her. She confessed: “All year I felt anxiety and insecurity like never before. The terror or lack of knowledge or comprehension of what I was experiencing made those feelings worse. I didn’t recognise myself”. Reflecting on the experience, she said: “It’s only now, after a year of reflection and paying attention, that I fully understand what the problem was: I was sad. Deeply, truly and cripplingly sad”.

Anita claims she is now in her “emancipation” era after opening up to the Mirror in an exclusive conversation with the Mirror. She told us: “Life is good. I’m in a good place, I’m focusing on myself and my own wants. It’s nice to have time to reflect on my life’s second phase. I’ve been calling it Chapter Two”.

And Anita’s outlook on Christmas 2024 is completely different. She has secured herself a brand-new, festive TV show and documentary series called My Life At Christmas, which will air on the BBC. The likes of actor Dame Sheila Hancock, EastEnders legend Rudolph Walker, and Spencer Matthews, a former TOWIE star turned entrepreneur, are among this year’s celebrity guests.

Ricky Hatton and Claire Sweeney ‘split’ after finding love on ITV’s Dancing On Ice

After eight months of dating, Ricky Hatton and Claire Sweeney reportedly ended their relationship.

The fiery romance began earlier this year when boxing champion Ricky, 46, and soap queen Claire, 53, met while competing on ITV’s Dancing On Ice. However, it appears that the two were unable to leave their relationship and have since agreed to end it.

The pair’s hopes for continued friendship are reported to have failed, despite the fact that there have been rumors of possible lifestyle differences. Claire is twice divorced, having been married to Tony Hibbard from 2001 until 2007 and then Daniel Reilly from 2013 until 2015.

Although Ricky has never been married, he and Jennifer Dooley, 23, have a 11-year relationship and they are also the parents of boxer Campbell Hatton, who he shares with another ex-girlfriend, also known as Claire. On Sunday, details of Ricky’s breakup with Claire Sweeney were revealed.

Before agreeing to be just friends, the duo dated for eight months (Getty Images for Co-op Live).

A source told the Daily Mail: “Claire and Ricky remain good friends, there has been no fallout between them. They decided to end their romantic relationship and are now best friends. They had lots of common interests, but their way of life was very different. They both enjoyed their time together.

Offering some insight into the cause of the split, the source continued: “While Claire is one of the biggest stars on Coronation Street and is very career-gliding, Ricky’s more freewheeling and unpredictable. Ricky is already packing his belongings for a trip to Tenerife, where he feels more at home. Meanwhile, Claire’s putting her heart and soul into her career, leaving romance behind”.

According to the source, Claire is being “consoled by celebrity friends and fellow cast members.” Ricky and Claire’s representatives have been in contact with The Mirror for comment.

Ricky raved about Dancing On Ice and how it changed his life in June. He said: “I had a good laugh on the ice. I mean, after the first day, I was scared to death but I always love a challenge.

” I got knocked out in the first round, but I was able to able to meet Claire. Before Claire, “Ricky joked ahead of the event,” I was always a Billy no mate at these things. No, it’s great! Since we’ve been together for about five months, I’m happy to see it continue.

A source previously told the Mirror of the former romance:” The chemistry was electric. Ricky left the show early, but he eventually contacted her, and let’s say he started wooing her. They’ve been out on several dates. One of them was only on Saturday. They’ve been seeing each other quite a bit. He is completely besotted. “

What did Gregg Wallace say to Penny Lancaster? As Rod Stewart slams ‘tubby bully’

After her husband, Sir Rod Stewart, accused the presenter of bullying, a heated exchange between Gregg Wallace and Penny Lancaster has resurfaced.

Kirsty Wark, a former Newsnight host, is one of 13 people who allege the MasterChef presenter made inappropriate sexual remarks. Wallace, who has resigned as host of the cooking program, has refuted claims that he made inappropriate sexual remarks.

Wallace, 60, is “committed to fully cooperating throughout the process” during the investigation process, a statement from the show’s production company Banijay UK said. Following the news, Sir Rod referred to Wallace as a “tubby, bald-headed, ill-mannered bully”. He wrote: “So Greg Wallace gets fired from Masterchef. You humiliated my wife while she was on the show, but did you not have that little bit cut out? You’re a tubby, bald-headed, ill-mannered bully. Karma got ya. Sir Rod Stewart”.

Penny, the star of Loose Women, was left embarrassed after eating her fried calamari and tartare sauce in a new clip on the cooking program. As she prepared her dish, Penny beamed with confidence and said, “I’m doing surprisingly well compared to what I imagined how I’d be doing.” I don’t want to slip up now”.

Penny Lancaster
Wallace (BBC) has been attacked by Rod Stewart, Penny’s husband.

However, when it came to tasting her dish things quickly went wrong. As she plated up, Penny said: “That tartare sauce doesn’t look like the tartare sauce I’d normally have”. Gregg told her: “You used whole eggs instead of egg yolks”. Judge John Torode added: “What I’ve got in here is a raw egg/oil milkshake. Unfortunately, I can’t eat that”.

With the help of her peers for her chicken and coconut curry, green papaya chutney, grated apple, turnip and carrot salad, and coconut rice, Penny was able to move on from her error later in the episode. Gregg told her, “You have had what we call a very good day, in the industry, I found myself going from bowl to bowl to bowl and finding it difficult to stop.”

However, during the episode she was eliminated from, chaos broke out in the kitchen. Penny was struggling with her timings as Gregg quipped: “Mate, we can’t be 10 minutes late”. He then branded her delay ‘ serious’. Walsh and John have co-hosted MasterChef since 2005.

The BBC received complaints from people regarding historical allegations of misconduct while working with presenter Gregg Wallace on one of our shows, according to a statement released earlier this week. Although these complainants have not directly contacted our network’s producers or parent company Banijay UK, we believe it is appropriate to conduct an independent, thorough investigation right away.

,Gregg Wallace,
Wallace has left MasterChef (BBC/Shine TV) to retire.

Gregg Wallace will step down from his MasterChef role while this review is being conducted, and he will work closely with him all the way through. On all productions, Banijay UK’s duty to its staff is always a top priority, and we always make our expectations clear to both the cast and the crew, with various ways to raise concerns, including being clearly promoted on set, including by phone.

It continued:” Whilst these are historical allegations, incidences brought to our attention where these expectations are not met, are thoroughly investigated and addressed appropriately. We take any concerns that are raised with us seriously and have effective procedures in place to handle them, according to a BBC spokesperson. We are always making it clear that any behavior that does not meet the standards set by the BBC will be tolerated. When an individual is hired by an external production company directly, we share any grievances or concerns with that organization and will always assist them in their communication.

After leaving MasterChef, Wallace thanked his fans on Instagram for their continued support. I would like to thank all the people for getting in touch, reaching out, and sharing their support. That’s good of you. Thank you very much. Gregg “took matters into his own hands on Sunday morning despite previous statements that his spokesperson had made.”

The cooking expert addressed those who were criticizing him on Instagram and claimed that he had never received any complaints from his screen-working career of 20 years. He claimed that some middle-class women of a certain age were among his accusers and that other MasterChef female contestants had made sexual remarks of their own.

In his Instagram Stories videos, Gregg said:” I’ve been doing MasterChef for 20 years. This isn’t right. “

He continued in a second video:” In 20 years of television, can you imagine how many women, female contestants, on MasterChef have made sexual remarks or sexual innuendo. Can you imagine? “

And in a further video message to fans, he commented:” This is important to me. Zero. Seriously. “

Liam Payne’s missing £30k Rolex update as escort claims singer ‘promised her watch after love confession’

Before his death, Liam Payne’s $30,000 Rolex reportedly vanished after an escort that he had with later returned to his hotel room.

The woman claimed she had forgotten her makeup and was allowed to go back to the third-floor room of the Buenos Aires hotel to retrieve it, according to respected Argentinian news website Infobae. Citing sources close to the ongoing criminal investigation, the website said: “There Payne’s Rolex watch disappeared”.

According to reports, Liam promised the woman and another female escort who arrived at the hotel for £5, 000, but they did not receive all of their money. According to Infobae, the two escorts later told prosecutors that ‘ gentleman ‘ Liam had kneeled in front of them and said, “I love you, I love you”.

He is even said to ‘ promised them ‘ his Rolex watch. However, according to reports, Liam allegedly did not turn in additional cash in the room or later in the lobby. The One Direction singer’s friend Roger Nores, who was also a former manager, is said to have arrived and made an effort to “resolve the situation.” Liam tragically fell three floors to his death from his hotel room twenty-four minutes later.

Liam Payne sang at his One Direction bandmate Niall Horan's concert just days before his death
Before his death, he sang at his Argentine concert alongside Niall Horan (Snapchat).

Although Liam was seen wearing the Rolex on the day of his passing, the watch, which is thought to be worth around £33,000, was missing when he fell and hasn’t been seen since.

A detective involved in the case said: “We know, from images that were analysed, that Payne was wearing a Rolex on the day of his death. He had it on one of his hands for at least two to three hours before he (died).

Since then, police have searched Liam’s hotel room and the homes of several individuals close to him from that day, including those who reside nearby two female escorts, and it has not been recovered.

Though the women, who haven’t been named by police, are said to be being treated as witnesses, rather than suspects in the case, they have now reportedly hired a lawyer.

In the hours before Liam’s death, Infobae reports the singer requested bottles of Moet &amp, Chandon Champagne, Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky and 300 dollars. According to the police, the money was intended to pay a drug dealer.

Before being carried into his room, Liam allegedly acted “erratically and smashed his laptop in the lobby.” The hotel staff reportedly called emergency services after a customer reported using “too many drugs and alcohol” and “trashing the entire room.” Liam quickly passed away shortly after.

Authorities believe Liam was “unconscious or semi-conscious” when he fell, so they have ruled out self-harm or Liam taking his own life. They came to the conclusion that the singer, who had drugs and alcohol in his system at the time of his passing, was unsure of his actions or had no idea what he was doing.

He died from multiple injuries, as well as internal and external bleeding brought on by the fall, according to a post-mortem examination. Three people, including a hotel worker, have since been charged in connection with Liam’s death on October 16.

One person is facing charges of “abandonment followed by death,” which can lead to a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison, and two others are accused of supplying drugs. Last week, a private funeral for Liam was held in his hometown of Wolverhampton in Buckinghamshire, and a permanent memorial is being sought.
