Ant and Dec share I’m A Celebrity line-up teaser as jungle rumours build

A new bunch of famous faces will be adapting to jungle life – and a cheeky new video with Ant and Dec teases excited fans about exactly which celebs are heading Down Under

Ant and Dec have teased the I’m a Celeb line-up for 2025, as the presenters prepare to return for another series in Australia – and excitement is building as the start date was recently revealed.

The first trailer for the new series, which is the show’s 25th, follows Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly hosting a bushtucker trial-style Christmas dinner, as they confirm the new ITV series will start on Sunday, November 16. Dec was pictured arriving in Australia with his wife Ali today.

The 60-second teaser sees the presenters interrupt the festive fun of a family to offer up plates filled with items often seen during food challenges, where celebrities have to eat gruesome food to win stars for camp. Ant said: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year and it’s about to get even better with the news that the new series of I’m A Celebrity is just weeks away!”

In a new video uploaded by the official Ant and Dec Instagram account, they said: “If we get the pen in the cup we’ll reveal the I’m A Celeb line-up.” The presenters then proceeded to purposely miss the cup, with Ant snatching the pen from Dec’s hand.

They captioned the post: “Ah well, guess you’ll have to wait.” There has been plenty of speculation about the newcomers into the series after a star-studded cast last year.

The last series of the reality show saw McFly star Danny Jones crowned king of the jungle, with Coleen Rooney finishing second and Reverend Richard Coles coming third.

Other stars taking part in last year’s series included Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall, Loose Women and TikTok star GK Barry, former boxer Barry McGuigan, dancer Oti Mabuse and N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos

Rumours are swirling about which famous faces will swap their home comforts for the Australian jungle this year. Model and TV personality Christine McGuinness has fuelled rumours of an appearance after revealing she’s feeling more adventurous this year.

Speaking at the Pride of Britain Awards, she saidl: “In the past I was never away from my children; I’d be frightened of the creepy crawlies; I have sensory issues. I have never been outside Europe so flying over there would be quite a challenge, but I’ve got a bit of ‘f*** it’.”

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has long been on producers’ wish lists – and she’s confirmed the offers keep coming. She told the Daily Star in 2023: “They ask me every year. They dangle that big carrot every year. I’ve always said ‘no’, but the older I get… I’m 47. I always go, ‘Corr, I’m getting old’.”

Presenter and performer Denise Van Outen is also being tipped for a stint in the jungle. A spokesperson for Ladbrokes told Heart Radio: “It looks like the stars have finally aligned to give us Denise van Outback in 2025.

“With a new album in the autumn and a tour booked for the spring, there’s a glaring hole in her calendar that she could fill with a Bushtucker Trial or two.”

Sir Ian McKellan: ‘I thought I was a goner, but I’m coming back as Gandalf’

Lord of the Rings star Sir Ian McKellen confirms he will reprise his role as Gandalf in the new Middle Earth blockbuster

Hopes of the star ever uttering his character’s iconic line, “You shall not pass” again looked bleak last summer, after Sir Ian fell from a West End stage in a freak accident.

Now recovered, he plans to start work on the fourth Rings movie, The Hunt for Gollum – to be filmed in New Zealand next May and directed by Gollum star Andy Serkis.

Sir Ian, 86, says: “Next year, I’m talking about going back to Middle Earth and reprising a little bit of Gandalf, I am not slowing down.

“Well, I am in the sense that however hard you are working on a film, it’s not as hard work as being in the theatre or, as I now realise, anywhere near as dangerous.”

Bouncing back after he tripped and fell into the front row of an audience during a performance of Player Kings at the Noel Coward Theatre in London last June, fortunately, Sir Ian escaped serious injury.

Protected by a padded fat suit he was wearing for the role of obese knight John Falstaff in the Shakespearean adaptation, he fractured a wrist and sprained his neck. “In the middle of a performance one night, my foot caught in a chair,” he recalls. “As I tried to shake it off with the other foot, standing on a newspaper, I started to glide on the polished surface of the stage, inevitably towards the audience.

“I think if I had been a bit younger, I might have jumped up or sat down or something to stop it. There was something in my head that was saying, ‘This is the end’. But it was the end of that production for me. I fell into the lap of someone on the front row. And thanks to that lap, and thanks to the padding I was wearing, I did very little damage, but I thought I was a goner.”

Speaking about his colourful life at the Two Brewers gay bar in Clapham, south west London, Sir Ian says he led a subdued existence, focussing on his acting ambitions, while studying English at the University of Cambridge. He explains: “It wasn’t until I came out aged 49 that I began to discover the gay life of London. I mean, my gay life was living with a series of partners very happily and openly.

“Everybody knew I was gay, who knew me. But I didn’t go out, probably because I was working too hard. All through the 1960s, when everyone else was supposed to be having fun in swinging London, I didn’t know anything about it. I was just busy getting on with being an actor.”

Born in Burnley, Lancashire, Sir Ian’s background remains extremely important to him. His passion for the stage was inspired by his parents, Margery and Denis and his older sister Jean, who took him to cinemas and theatres around Wigan, where he lived until he was 12. He remembers: “My father was a civil engineer, a borough engineer of Wigan and later Bolton. So I lived in both those towns in Greater Manchester.

“My sister, five years older than me, was the one who took me to the theatre, but my parents loved going to the theatre, rather than the cinema. In fact, the cinemas in Wigan were flea pits. But in Bolton there were three professional theatres. And one had a repertory company, which did a different play every week. Another one did opera, ballet, big pantomime, and the Grand Theatre, my favourite, was variety with a different bill each week.”

His mother’s death from breast cancer when he was 12 profoundly influenced his life – making him anxious about affection. “It’s still there,” he says of his loss. “If I’ve had a break up in a relationship I feel it. I think that’s because of the loss of my mother. I used to have a dream that she wasn’t really dead at all. And they were wonderful dreams, meeting her again. My father married again quite quickly, I think partly to give me a mother figure, and Gladys arrived, my stepmother. She lived till she was 100. My father died far too young. And then my sister died before she was 70. “

Describing his upbringing as Christian, he adds: “We were nice to each other. We were nice to other people. And generosity was in the air. We weren’t very rich, but we never wanted for anything.” Encouraged to fulfil his acting ambitions at his “wonderful” school in Bolton, Sir Ian has since won a Tony, six Olivier awards, a Golden Globe and nominations for five BAFTAs plus two Oscar nods for Gods and Monsters in 2001 and for Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in 2001.

His film credits are rich and varied, incorporating everything from X-Men to Cats, Mr Holmes, The Da Vinci Code and starring alongside Robert Downey Jnr in his 1996 movie Restoration. He recalls Robert’s well-publicised drug problems, saying: “I don’t know what drugs he was on, but he was on an awful lot of them and yet functioning perfectly well and acting brilliantly.” He adds, with relief: “He got out of it. And now, of course, he’s a hugely successful film star”.

Undoubtedly Sir Ian’s proudest moment came in 1991, when he was knighted by the late Queen Elizabeth II. Sir Ian, who co-founded the gay rights charity Stonewall in 1989, says: “I’ll always be proud that I got my knighthood after I’d come out. Derek Jarman, who had been out long before me and saw me as a latecomer to the cause, thought I really shouldn’t accept a knighthood from Margaret Thatcher. But others advised me differently and said, ‘No, get the knighthood and then use it.’ It is true that if you’re on a campaign and you want to reach people, to have a title, I’m afraid, helps.”

Despite his campaigning, Sir Ian says he struggled with his sexuality in his early years, and had recurring dreams about “murdering himself.” Fortunately, his fears evaporated when he came out publicly on BBC Radio 3 in January 1988. He says: “The person I’d killed or thought I’d killed was myself. I worked out. And I deserved punishment for that. But now I’m out and Ian McKellen is alive. There’s no need for that dream. Why wasn’t I out before, you might think? Well, I didn’t feel there was any need to be. I was living openly with men.

“Everybody knew I was gay. I never hid it from anybody, except that bit of coming out that most people don’t have to bother with, which is talking to the press about being gay.” He chose radio to declare his sexuality, thinking “a lot of people would listen.” He adds: “I said, ‘Well, I think I call myself a homosexual.’”

Out, proud and looking forward to the future, work remains at the forefront of Sir Ian’s life. Alongside his Rings comeback, he is involved in a film adaptation of his former West End play Frank and Percy, charting an unexpected relationship between a widowed schoolteacher and an elder statesman. It will also star Sir Stephen Fry, Dame Joanna Lumley, Baby Reindeer star Jessica Gunning, Alan Cumming and Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa.

Letting slip about the project, Sir Ian says: “Nobody else knows this. We have green-lit a film written by Martin Sherman, who is the author of many other wonderful gay plays. It’s about two old geezers, one me and Roger Allam, in the play that we did at Windsor a year ago. It is about two old guys, walking dogs who meet and fall in love. It’s a wonderful, very English comedy. It’s going to be directed by my ex, Sean Mathias, who directed the play, and that’ll be a lovely reunion for me.”

Happy with life professionally and personally, Sir Ian is enjoying the irreverence that comes with old age, He says: “When I was young, I had a desperate need to prove, a desperate need for validation. And as I grow older, that matters less and less and less.”

Prince Harry lets slip how deeply he misses Prince William in brutal assessment of US

In an emotional personal essay, Prince Harry has opened up about what the UK means to him and let slip what he misses the most, according to an expert

Prince Harry’s poignant personal essay has thrown his real feelings about the UK into sharp relief, according to an expert. The Duke of Sussex left his home country five years ago, moving across the Atlantic to build a new life with his wife Meghan. But now Harry has made it painfully clear that there are aspects of the UK he still misses – includng memories he once shared with his estranged brother Prince William.

The Duke of Sussex penned the passionate essay ahead of Remembrance Day, where he expressed his pride at fighting for his country and warned how easy it is for veterans to be forgotten “once the uniform comes off”. Former soldier Harry undertook two frontline tours to Afghanistan and also describes the privilege of serving alongside men and women from all four corners of the UK. He calls on people to remember “not only the fallen, but the living” who carry the “weight of war” and urges them to knock on veterans’ doors and “join them for a cuppa…or a pint” to hear their stories and “remind them their service still matters”.

The candid essay is titled, “The Bond, The Banter, The Bravery: What it means to be British”, and in a particularly emotional passage, Harry opened up about his deeply held affection for his home country. “Though currently, I may live in the United States, Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for. The banter of the mess, the clubhouse, the pub, the stands – ridiculous as it sounds, these are the things that make us British. I make no apology for it. I love it,” he wrote.

And now communications expert Judi James has told The Mirror that she believes Harry “subconsciously” let slip more about his feelings towards his home country and his estranged relatives than he might have realised.

“Despite his normally constant adherence to his love of his life in the US, Harry sounds like a man still yearning for what he calls the ‘Banter of the mess, clubhouse, pubs, the stands,'” Judi explained. “Harry was a man who grew up and cut his teeth on banter, especially with his brother William.

“Interviews back in the day show their banter together was relentless and there is a suggestion that in promoting the word so strongly and emphatically here Harry is implying (perhaps subconsciously) how much he misses his older brother. Montecito always looks like a banter-free zone, which is why we tend to see Harry so much in his element during Invictus when he has an endless supply of ex-military heroes to exchange banter with.”

The communications expert continued: “He sounds embarrassed by this ‘reveal’ though. By adding ‘ridiculous as it sounds’, he seems to be apologising to his US audience, perhaps even to his own family, for this admission of nostalgia and what sounds like a sense of longing.

“This is an important-sounding admission too. Most ex-pats yearn for jars of Marmite or English tea bags, but Harry is letting everyone know, including Meghan here, that he’s missing a kind of shared, intense, complex humour that he might not be able to get in the US.”

This isn’t the first time since moving to the US that Harry has made it known what high esteem he holds a good sense of humour, and how tied that is to his sense of his own family. When his grandfather Prince Philip died in 2021, he dubbed him a “legend of banter” in a sweet personal tribute.

Harry said that Philip “was authentically himself, with a seriously sharp wit, and could hold the attention of any room due to his charm – and also because you never knew what he might say next.

“He will be remembered as the longest reigning consort to the monarch, a decorated serviceman, a prince and a duke. But to me, like many of you who have lost a loved one or grandparent over the pain of this past year, he was my grandpa: master of the barbecue, legend of banter, and cheeky right ’til the end.”

Harry concluded his personal essay to the military by encouraging people to extend their hands in support to veterans in their neighbourhoods and communities – and to try and remember to do throughout the entire year. “Remembrance isn’t confined to one weekend in November,” Harry wrote.

“It’s a lifelong commitment to empathy, gratitude, and action; to be kinder, more united, and braver in protecting what those before us fought to preserve. So, as we bow our heads this weekend, let us remember not only the fallen, but the living – those who still carry the weight of war in body and mind, and the families who bear its memory in their hearts.

Last date to book your nail appointment before Christmas as slots fill up by November

If you’re hoping to have a fresh-looking set of nails in time for Christmas Day then this is the date you need to book your salon appointment by – but slots are filling up fast

A lot of us probably want to look out best over the festive period, and for many, this means the polished finish of a professional manicure. And with appointment slots already booking up in November and December, it’s not too early to book in for your beauty top-ups.

According to the experts at beauty and wellness booking platform Fresha, appointments with your favourite beauty professionals during the weeks before Christmas can get booked up as early as October, so it’s worth thinking about getting your appointments in now.

Fresha expert Sophie Vongkhamsao says, “Beauty professionals have limited availability over the festive season due to such high demand, and you’ll need to get ahead of the festive rush to secure your booking. In fact, Christmas bookings can fill up as early as October, and we always recommend that you book your appointments as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

” Remember, lengthy services like hairdresser appointments can take hours, and so these slots can be harder to come by than a shorter appointment, such as gel nails. If you want your treatment or service, such as hair, nails or lashes, to be freshly done ahead of an event like a work party or Christmas day itself, it’s especially important to get these dates booked in now. “

And last year, nail technician Eva Benjamin from EJB Nails told Fresha exactly what dates you should book your final nail appointment before Christmas for to ensure that your nails will look fresh throughout the festive period: between the 12-18 December – if you can still get in with your favourite salon.

Fresha also found that last year, surprisingly, searches for nail appointments increased the most between the 8-14 December, suggesting a surge in those looking for late festive appointments. However, you might find that you’ve left it far too late by then to book a slot with your favourite nail tech.

Katie Price tells fans ‘watch me ruin my lips’ before latest cosmetic procedure

Katie Price has shocked fans with her latest cosmetic procedure which she posted on TikTok – as she revealed she wants to ‘start afresh’

Katie Price has given fans a glimpse of her latest cosmetic procedure. The 47-year-old took to TikTok to share a clip of the treatment at The Clinic Club and told her 1.7 million followers: “Hey everyone. Watch me ruin my lips!” as she then pointed to her mouth and joked: “These lips.”

Explaining she was getting her lip filler dissolved, Katie shared she was having them taken out so she could “start fresh”, suggesting she might be planning more work on her face in the future.

As the solution was massaged through her lips to get it out, she told the camera: “So now the injections have been in – which did sting – I’m now massaging the solution out, which actually hurts more than the injections.”

Looking at the progress, a shocked Katie said: “As you can see – Oh my God, they’re really going down. So, I’ve got to keep massaging it where I was injected and the solution is just coming out. Oh my God, they’re getting thinner already. But I love it because this is what I want, so I can start fresh.”

Fans were quick to comment below and insisted she wasn’t ruining her lips, but making them better. One wrote: “You’re fixing them, not ruining them.”

Another said: “Yes be natural Kate, you don’t need all the fake stuff. Natural beauty.” A third chimed in: “Am so glad you are having natural lips… bless you.” A fourth urged: “Go Natural Kate. Your stunning looks and features are so unique,” while a fifth added: “Keep them natural you’re beautiful remember that x.”

Katie didn’t reveal what her lips looked like without the filler as it’s thought she’ll have more put back into them.

It comes as concern continues to grow for Katie after she was pictured looking worryingly thin again this week. And just yesterday, she came under fire for showing off her latest treatment as she got lymphatic drainage on her stomach. Some social media users warned it was “dangerous” to promote her very slim look.

Admitting that she had lost weight earlier this year because she wanted to, Katie said on Rob Moore’s Disruptors podcast: “Yes, I’ve lost weight. Yes that what I’ve wanted to do, I’ve wanted to lose weight.”

Explaining why she felt she needed to drop a dress size, she continued: “Because the past three, four years ago when I broke my feet and I was in a wheelchair for 10 months because they said I’d never walk again. And obviously you put weight on being in a wheelchair.

“Then I did all the IVF stuff, that also puts on weight. So yeah I did put on weight and I hated it. I felt uncomfortable and it wasn’t me. Now I’ve gone back, now the IVF that’s all come out, and I’m more active because I could do more because of my feet, and I’m horse riding again. Then naturally, I’m going back athletic again.”

Recently Katie told how she had been seeing doctors as she feared she had now lost too much weight. In late September Katie was spotted with a large white plaster on her hand after a hospital visit, where she had several blood tests done in a bid to find out the cause of her unexplained weight loss.

Speaking to fans on Snapchat, she explained: “I’ve been up early at the doctors so she could do some bloods. Because my veins are so rubbish they had three attempts. They could only fill two tubes up, so I’ve got to go back in two weeks.”

She added she would also be having stitches removed after cutting herself while cooking. “The reason I’m going to the doctors is because I keep losing weight and I don’t know why,” she shared.

And the color is just what I wanted. I’m very happy.” A fourth said: “I’ve had Cartiers in the past so I know how an expensive watch feels. This one feels good in comparison. Very surprised.”

However, some shared some issues, with one customer writing: “It’s a nice watch, however, the face and detail is alot smaller than I expected it to be. The diamond on the face and around the outside are TINY. I would have been very disappointed if I had paid the £3000 before sale tag and got this, it also feels very lightweight for me. Perhaps I’m used to the larger faces on my MK watches, it’s nice but small.”

Someone else said: “Very disappointed as the watch did not work. I took it to a jewellers and they could not get it to work either. Also the strap is far too big for a ladies wrist.”
