Maura Higgins’ defiant stance as she’s set for awkward Danny Jones run-in after kiss

Love Islander Maura Higgins and her I’m A Celebrity campmate Danny Jones stunned fans when they were spotted sharing a drunken kiss at a BRIT Awards afterparty earlier this year

I’m A Celebrity campmates Maura Higgins and Danny Jones could be facing an awkward encounter at this year’s National Television Awards, following their drunken kiss at a BRITs afterparty. Danny, 39, won the most recent series of ITV’s I’m A Celeb, and so will be showing up at the event – as will Maura.

The video, which saw the two share a kiss, resulted in a dicey time for Danny’s marriage to influencer and wife of 11 years, Georgia Horsley, 38. He has spent the year quietly attempting to repair their relationship after Georgia left the family home for a period of time to cool off.

Danny and Georgia share their six-year-old son Cooper, and seem to have patched things up after what could have been a marriage-ending indiscretion on Danny’s part. It comes after ITV makes major decision on I’m A Celebrity’s future after talks with officials.

While Danny attempted to win Georgia’s trust back, Maura herself kept a low profile for a short time. Their National Television Awards appearance will be a test for Georgia, although a source points out they all knew their “paths were bound to cross at some point.

Speaking to The Sun, they said: “Danny is expected to attend the NTAs on September 10, as have all previous reigning jungle winners — and Maura is also going.”

The source added: “There will have to be some clever choreography to ensure they don’t end up next to each other when walking the red carpet, but they could both end up on stage if I’m A Celebrity wins. Maura won’t be answering any questions about the kiss. She’s put the incident behind her and feels she has nothing to be ashamed of.”

McFly star Danny has put on a united front with Georgia after the couple’s testing year. The pair were all smiles as they attended the first of seven Wembley gigs for the Oasis reunion tour last month.

Mum-of-one Georgia, 38, shared a black and white photo posted on her husband’s Instagram Story. It showed her beaming as they made their way from Wembley Stadium.

Danny was looking over at her as they shared a laugh between them, showing they’ve put their rocky patch behind them and have moved on. They were joined by Danny’s mum, Kathy, who walked in between the pair in the candid snap. It’s been a tough year for the couple, with the news of Danny’s drunken BRITS kiss with Love Islander Maura sending shockwaves earlier this year.

But lucky for Danny, it appears Georgia was willing to give their marriage another try, although the pair lay low on social media since the video surfaced in March this year. Meanwhile, Maura has been keeping herself busy with work, as well as buying her new house.

The 34-year-old former Love Island contestant has earned an estimated £3.2 million in the years since she found fame on the ITV dating show back in 2019. And she has splashed the cash on a luxury new home – snapping up a five-bedroom property in the south east of England. The semi-detached house boasts an impressive garden and has huge, floor to ceiling windows that allow plenty of natural light to flood in.

Josie Gibson’s terrifying cancer scare which forced her to make huge decision

This Morning host Josie Gibson has revealed she had a terrifying cancer scare after finding a lump in her breast as she made the decision to remove her implants

Josie Gibson has revealed she was forced to remove her breast implants following a harrowing cancer scare. The This Morning host found a large lump in her breast before deciding to remove the implants.

She has now spoken of the terrifying moment for the first time as she admitted she became “really worried” about the lump in 2023. Josie had a breast enhancement operation in 2013, where she went from a B cup to a DD.

Yet, 10 years on, she had to have them removed following the health scare. It comes after Katie Price is left unable to complete basic functions after latest facial surgeries.

Josie said she doesn’t have any regrets after removing her implants

Josie first became concerned when she found a lump. “You could actually see it protruding — you could see the breast had changed shape, so I was getting a little bit frightened,” she told the Sun.

“So I went to my GP and he had a feel around — it was my breast implant. I went and I had them out and, for me, it was one of the best things I’ve done.”

Josie, who has teamed up with tombola and Breast Cancer Now, said she has no regrets with her decision and admitted she now has “peace of mind”. The Big Brother star has also been candid about her weight and fitness levels, and she was being told she was suffering from gout.

Earlier this year, she swapped swanky restaurants for liver and spam as she had a heath MOT for her show, The 1970s Diet. She said that she ‘runs rings around her slim friends’ but is still ‘overweight’ – something she claims is unfair because she’s ‘always exercised’.

Opening up about her health in the show on Channel 5, Josie said: “I’m one of the most on the go people I’ve ever met but my size doesn’t fit with my activity. It never has. I do not stop.

“I’ve got friends that are really slim and I’m thinking, ‘I run rings around you!’ Sometimes I think, ‘Is it fair?’ but we’re all different. I am fit, but I am also overweight.”

Despite being told she has a “superior fitness rate,” Josie was told she was suffering from gout, which is a form of arthritis in which a substance in the body called uric acid builds up in the joints.

According to the NHS, you may be more likely to get gout if you’re overweight, drink alcohol or have high cholesterol. Admitting she thought gout was “only for old men”, Josie said: “I kept saying to the nurse: ‘My toes keep hurting’.

“I thought gout was only for old men, but I have been living quite a lavish life. Before I filmed this show, I caught a lot of flights, I drank a lot of champagne, I ate a lot of rich food and I had little sleep. That’s how I ended up getting gout.”

Wynne Evans makes shock return to BBC months after axing amid Strictly scandal

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Wynne Evans appeared on a BBC show over the weekend despite his apparent departure from the corporation earlier this year

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Wynne Evans made an unexpected appearance on a BBC show tonight. It comes after the corporation said it had “no plans” to work with him following his exit from the live tour and his radio show.

Wynne, 53, however, appeared on an episode of Pointless Celebrities that aired on BBC One earlier tonight. He was paired up with Joanna Page, who was his co-star on Wynne & Joanna: All at Sea, which isn’t set to have a second series as the BBC said in June that it has “no plans” to renew it.

It comes following his apparent departure from the BBC earlier this year. It had been reported that it had severed ties with the opera singer, known for the Go Compare adverts, and had confirmed that it didn’t plan to work with him further.

The pre-recorded episode of Pointless Celebrities that aired tonight saw Wynne and Joanna make it to the penultimate round, but they missed out on reaching the final together. The other team, Jane Hill and Ben Boulos, who both work on BBC News, became the finalists instead after winning the round.

They had competed against two other pairs earlier in the episode. RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard had been with impressionist Jess Robinson, whilst comedians Esther Manito and Rich Hall had worked together.

Prior to the episode airing tonight, Wynne had told fans on Instagram that he would be in it. He wrote beside a photo of himself and Joanna on the set: “Tonight back on [BBC One] for Celebrity Pointless with [Joanna].”

Some viewers seemed surprised to see Wynne on the show this evening. One wrote on X: “Wynne Evans? This must have been recorded 10 years ago?” Another said: “Seriously??? Who the hell thought Wynne Evans appearing would be a good idea.” A third wrote on the platform though: “Well done [BBC] – Wynne on Pointless – common sense at last.”

It’s not been confirmed when the episode was filmed. One viewer suggested it could mark Wynne’s final appearance on the BBC though. They wrote in a post on X earlier tonight: “This could be Wynne Evans’s last BBC appearance.”

The episode’s broadcast this weekend comes after the BBC was said to have cut its last remaining ties with Wynne. He had worked with the corporation for years, including hosting his own BBC Radio show for almost a decade.

it was announced back in May that the BBC had “no plans” to work with him in the future though. It comes following a series of scandals during his time on Strictly Come Dancing last year and its subsequent tour earlier this year.

During the tour, it was reported that he had used the term ‘spit roast’ to host Janette Manrara at a photocall. Wynne has, however, since insisted that it was instead part of a nickname for fellow contestant Jamie Borthwick and that it “wasn’t meant sexually”.

Wynne subsequently left the tour and his BBC Radio Wales show after the scandal broke back in January. It was said at the time that the decision had been made in agreement with the BBC and to “prioritise” Wynne’s wellbeing.

It was then announced in May that Wynne would not be returning to his radio show, which he had hosted since 2016. In a statement at the time, a spokesperson for the BBC said: “[Wynne] is not under contract with the BBC. He is not returning to the mid-morning show on BBC Radio Wales, and there are currently no plans to work with him.”

Whilst Wynne, who has since criticised the BBC, told fans in a statement: “It breaks my heart to say the BBC has decided not to renew my contract, so I won’t be returning to my radio show. I’m gutted. That show wasn’t just work – it was home. It was us. We laughed, we cried, we sang like nobody was listening. And somehow, through the airwaves, we became a family. Thank you for welcoming me into your homes. Into your hearts.”

He instead announced that he would host the Wynne Evans Show on other platforms. He’s since launched his new weekday radio and later told his followers on social media that he had more than 40,000 listeners for the first episode.

More recently, it was reported in June that the BBC had cut its last remaining ties with him. It was confirmed at the time that the corporation had “no plans” for a second series of his travel show Wynne & Joanna: All at Sea, which ran for six episodes between January and February.

A source had told the Sun that the decision to not renew it “marks the end” of a relationship between Wynne and the BBC. They said: “It means that Wynne has no TV show or radio show with the Beeb, and effectively marks the end of their relationship.”

Pointless Celebrities is available on BBC iPlayer.

Liam and Noel Gallagher’s mum Peggy finally sees Oasis reunion concerts in Dublin

Liam and Noel Gallagher’s mum Peggy has finally seen her two sons on stage with Oasis for the first time in 16 years, and is attending their Croke Park concerts in Dublin

Proud mum Peggy Gallagher has finally been to see the Oasis reunion – with Liam Gallagher dedicating a song to her tonight in Dublin. As the band performed Stand By Me, Liam could be heard saying: “This one I want to dedicate to my mum, my mum is here tonight.” There were big cheers from the fans at Croke Park in response.

Liam also dedicated Roll With It to the people of Charlestown, Co Mayo – where his mother hails from. Mid-song, he also turned to the upper tiers where she was expected to have been sitting and blew kisses as he mouthed: “I love you.”

The 92-year-old mum of Noel and Liam Gallagher is thrilled her sons have patched up their differences and reunited the band. She has spoken about planning to see them on the Oasis Live 25 tour too and still lives in Manchester, where she brought up her three sons in Burnage.

But Peggy avoided the all-standing Manchester shows so she could see them in comfort in a box when they played in Dublin. In an interview in June, Peggy was asked if she had anything to do with the reunion between Noel and Liam. It comes after Paul Weller reveals the unusual reason he refuses to watch Oasis concerts.

She said: “I was the instigator, yes. But sure, wasn’t it always going to happen at some time or other? It was their choice, of course. Look you can’t force them to do things they don’t want to do”.

She confessed she was relieved to see her sons working together again, following a years-long rift between the two. “It’s great, because nobody wants their kids falling out, do they?” she said, although she admitted to being nervous about the shows and would be “glad when it’s all just over because it makes me get too stressed.”

Peggy has been spending time with both Noel and Liam in the run-up to the live tour, and was on holiday with Liam and his partner Debbie in the South of France earlier in the year when Liam was on vocal rest. Speaking in the Sunday Times in 2019, Liam said: “Any good that comes out of me is all from Peggy and all her sisters and brothers.

“They were a good, close bunch of people. I never miss my father because my mother was both a mother and a father figure. She was there with the cuddle.

“She was also there with the whack. I’m generalising, dads’s there because dads give cuddles as well. But if I needed bringing down a peg or two she could do that, as well as elevate me.”

Meanwhile, Noel’s daughter, Anaïs has also been attending the concerts and just hours before her dad took to the stage, she shared a sweet message with Oasis fans on social media.

Anaïs shared a photo of an open window on her Instagram Story earlier today. She added a series of stickers over it, including a pint of Guinness and a packet of Tayto crisps. Another sticker featured the slogan “Erin go bragh.”

She wrote in the caption alongside the photo: “Woken up in the greatest nation on Earth.” Anaïs included the Pogues’ rendition of the folk song The Irish Rover, which was a collaboration with the Dubliners.

Andy Carroll breaks silence on Lou Teasdale row as he shares huge relationship update

It’s been a rollercoaster of a relationship for former England star Andy Carroll and celebrity hair stylist Lou Teasedale, with the pair now hoping to move forward together

Andy Carroll and Lou Teasedale are working on their relationship after a series of booze-fuelled rows caused them to reportedly split up. Former Premier League star Andy, 36, was said to have been desperate to make amends with mum-of-one Lou, after he was allegedly questioned by police during a trip to Greek party island Mykonos.

The final straw for Lou, 41, was said to have taken place during this year’s Glastonbury in June, which saw yet another bust-up between the pair. They had gone to Worthy Farm for a weekend away and to celebrate their one-year anniversary after meeting at the festival the year before.

But Lou left the festival early, leaving former Liverpool striker Andy there alone. It was also rumoured that Andy had initiated the break-up, but it emerged earlier in the week that it was actually Lou who called time on their romance. It comes after Andy Carroll ‘splits from Lou Teasdale due to her demands’ weeks after public row.

However, the pair appear to have turned it around and are making an effort to patch up their rocky relationship with the hope of moving forward together. Andy has admitted he’s been going through a tough time, with his divorce from TOWIE star Billi Mucklow causing him stress, but he loves Lou and her family.

Speaking to the Sun, Andy revealed: “Some of our rows have been about alcohol, as Lou has been teetotal for 14 years and I have a beer or wine at dinner and a drink after the game, but it’s not a problem in my life.

“I’m a professional footballer and that’s not the case. I play sports every single day, so my level of fitness is really good. I play football every day, so I’m fit.”

Andy also addressed an incident in which he and Lou were reported to have argued at a Mykonos restaurant, resulting in police arriving to question the star. He insisted it had nothing to do with alcohol and that the pair were actually arguing about him “having three coffees in the morning.”

The footballer, who has recently signed for Dagenham & Redbridge FC, said that Lou was concerned he had a caffeine addiction. A joint statement from them at the time said: “Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion.

“It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there.” It added: “As far as we are concerned, the situation has been blown out of all proportion by an interested member of the public.

“No one was arrested, and no one was charged with anything. We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together, and we are disappointed that a private disagreement has become a public matter.”

The incident, in a packed restaurant, was witnessed by staff and members of the public. One worker at the Nikolus Tavern said of the first argument: “We recognised him as the footballer Andy Carroll immediately. He seemed very drunk and furious with his partner. He was using very bad words. It was improper behaviour. The woman looked very upset.”

The Sun reported that a source said: “After the restaurant episode, there was another incident at the hotel. This time, the footballer went to the police station. We know the woman stayed somewhere else that night.”

Meanwhile, a British holidaymaker who reportedly spotted the pair while out for a stroll accused Andy of being “very drunk” adding that he shouted at Lou: “I’m done with us!”

Anaïs Gallagher had a message for Ireland this morning amid her father Noel Gallagher’s latest concerts there. She paid tribute in a post on social media earlier, just hours before he took to the stage in the country as part of Oasis.

Noel, 58, and his brother Liam Gallagher, 52, are performing in Dublin tonight for the first of their two gigs at Croke Park Stadium in the city on the Oasis Live ’25 tour. The band will return to the venue for the second show tomorrow.

Anaïs, 28, who is the eldest of Noel’s three children, paid tribute to Ireland in a message shared on Instagram just hours before Oasis’ latest concert. Noel’s daughter Anaïs has been following Oasis on their much-awaited reunion tour since it launched last month. Following the opening night at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on July 4, she wrote in a post: “It’s good to be back.”

She’s since posted about having been at several other shows, including gigs in Manchester and London. Anaïs teased on Instagram recently that she had been to all of the band’s shows at Wembley Stadium so far.

In one of her posts about the five gigs at the venue, Anaïs wrote on August 3: “Wembley night 4. (can’t believe I’m even writing that btw? Night FOUR?!) WHAT. A. SHOW. Feeling so incredibly full love, pride & oh so many pints.”

She then revealed that she would be at the fifth show at Wembley Stadium, which was Oasis’s last at the venue until they returned for two more gigs there in September. She wrote: “See you again tonight, London. Let’s f***ing have it.

Anaïs has met some celebrities on the tour, including Chloe Kelly. The professional footballer, who plays for England, was among the high-profile concertgoers at Wembley one night. They even had a photo together with Noel backstage.
