Paul O’Grady fans have same response as star seen beaming 20 minutes before death

In March 2023, legendary drag queen Lily Savage, known as drag queen, entertainer Paul O’Grady, passed away “unexpectedly but peacefully” at the age of 67.

Paul O’Grady’s heartbroken fans all had the same thing to say when his fiancé, Andre Portasio, shared a clip taken 20 minutes before his death. The iconic entertainer, famously known as drag queen Lily Savage, died ‘unexpectedly but peacefully’ at the age of 67 in March 2023.

The presenter and radio star’s official death certificate later confirmed that he died from sudden cardiac arrhythmia. As Andre marked the second anniversary of his death, he wrote in the caption: “It’s amazing how our minds can shield us from the pain of loss in shock. I lost a video that Paul, who I had just 20 minutes before sadly passed away, that I had just captured on iPhotos today, and it became his last ever camera-recorded image.

You see him as the sincere person he was in this bittersweet moment, showing his gratitude to everyone for funding his book, which he recorded for an event he couldn’t attend.

“It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since his passing. All the while, he’s surrounded by his beloved dogs. We miss you dearly @paulogrady. Happy heavenly birthday! #paulogrady.”

Fans eluded the comment section to express their support for Andre, who they claimed was “funny” and died shortly after the video was filmed.

One user said, “I’m so sad he’s gone,” and another added, “It’s scary to think he passed away just after this video.” Just illustrates how closely life and death are tied together. You deserve my heart.

“How life changes in an instant @andre_portasio thank you for having the strength to share this for the fans,” one fan commented.

What a special video this must be for you, added another heartbroken fan. How quickly things can change? Hearing his voice is lovely.

Paul, who was speaking in the video, introduced himself as Paul O’Grady, and he just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has read and voted for his book. Thank you so much for your kind gift.

Paul, who became famous in the 1980s as his alter-ego Lily Savage, was also known for his animal-loving demeanor.

By the way, this is Eddie, and this is my dog, he continued. Don’t you, guys? You are well-known. And this little one serves as the basis for Butch in the book. You’re not being very quiet today, are you? Anyway, thanks a lot once more. It’s really appreciated. Take good care of yourself.

Katie Price’s ‘obsessive’ romance with ex who was ‘love of her life’ and agonising split

Katie Price revealed how, after their breakup, she became “obsessed” with the Another Level singer after revealing how she became ‘obsessed’ with her ex, Dane Bowers.

Katie Price has long been in the spotlight for her string of high-profile relationships, including a turbulent romance with her ex whom she once described as the ‘love of her life.’ The former glamour model, 46, has always been open about her past relationships, one of the most notable being with singer Dane Bowers.

Her romance with Dane, 45, from Another Level, spanned from 1998 to 2000. The couple first crossed paths at the Wild Wild West film premiere in 1999, where they instantly hit it off. At the time, Dane had just become known for his high-profile hit “Out of Your Mind,” collaborating with Victoria Beckham, which had shot him into the limelight.

In the late 1990s, Katie, who was only 18 at the time, had been pursuing a topless modeling career under the name Jordan. Soon after, she was grabbing the covers of numerous men’s magazines. Her rise to stardom was swift. However, it was claimed that there were rumors of infidelity and trust issues in the couple’s relationship.

At first, Bowers was said to have been drawn to Katie’s glamorous-girl image, but he soon realized it was difficult to work with someone whose career was always in the spotlight. Amy, Katie’s mother, revealed in her book The Last Word that Dane had a career that Katie didn’t enjoy and that Katie wasn’t happy with their relationship.

Though they seemed to be in a happy relationship, the truth was far from that behind closed doors. Kaite once claimed that her boyfriend had been cheating on her.

Opening up on the Katie Price Show, she said: “He cheated on me bad. Oh my God, so bad.” She claimed he had reportedly been unfaithful with a dancer in Ibiza, with footage of the woman talking about Katie. She added: “So I was trying to get this video and I got it. When Dane came back, because we lived together, I said ‘Dane, just sit down, I’ve got something to show you’. I put it on and said, ‘So are you going to f***ing explain that then?’

Katie Price dated Dane Bowers

And he responded, “Oh no,” you’re aware that he denied it. And I was already aware. Because of this, he left Sarah Bosnich and performed the song “Victoria Beckham.” There was now a time when I had to leave with them because “there wasn’t enough room.” Then he met Sarah Bosnich, a friend of Victoria’s, who he eventually met. I’ve just been defrauded, lied to, and everything in between.

After three years of dating, Katie admits she became “obsessed” and “desperately tried to win him back,” eventually taking an overdose in an attempt to stifle his interest. The now-mom-of-five overdosed on the pills and needed immediate hospital attention.

Bowers revealed in an interview with The Sun that his ex-girlfriend called him after the incident, telling him that he had “done something stupid.” He discovered Katie had aborted the couple’s baby at that time.

When I arrived to see her in the hospital, the singer said, “I came to see her. I was holding a picture of us.” I only learned later that she had an abortion with her.

The ex-I’m A Celebrity star admitted she was “terrible” in her younger years, admitting that she would pursue Dane even after their breakup.

Katie also revealed that her breakup was the “hardest” as he had broken her heart. She later went on to admit that Dane had been the ‘love of her life’ despite being with her husband Kieran Hayler at the time. “The hardest break-up I ever went through was with Dane Bowers. My heart was literally in bits,” she said on her Youtube channel.

Everyone always assumes Pete [Andre] was my hardest break-up, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a difficult one; it was just what came with it, and it was difficult. Absolutely Dane literally broke my heart.

Dane continued to speak out about his complex past with Katie without retaliation. She loves to drag it up by telling everyone on CBB how I broke her heart 15 years ago.

Despite both of them moving on with their lives, Dane admitted in 2015 that he had struggled to leave their past behind, just a year before he and Katie had reunited for a Christmas bash. “I still get messages every day about Katie — mostly about the sex tape that went around the world,” he shared. “It’s embarrassing. I’ll never get away from it – or her.”

Amanda Abbington beams after revealing hope to join Loose Women panel

Actress Amanda Abbington was full of smiles as she stepped out of a theatre on her show’s preview night amid rumours she is set to join the Loose Women panel

Amanda Abbington had a huge smile on her face as she headed to work after eyeing up her next career move. The actress was spotted leaving the Kings Head Theatre in London, where she is starring in This is not a Happy Room.

Despite the title of her latest play, Amanda could not have been happier as she stepped out in Islington. She left the theatre following her first preview night. Her happiness could also mark a sign she has got the next gig she set her sights on.

The 51-year-old revealed she would love to join Loose Women after enduring what she described as “one of the hardest years of my life”. She became embroiled in the major Strictly Come Dancing bullying row after being partnered with the show’s now axed pro Giovanni Pernice for the 2023 series.

Since withdrawing from the competition early citing “personal reasons”, and later making a formal complaint about the “toxic environment” she experienced, Amanda has been largely absent from mainstream TV.

However, it could all change if she joins the ITV daytime show. When asked if she’d consider joining the likes of Coleen Nolan and Charlene White on the daily panel show, mum-of-two Amanda reportedly said: “Yes, totally.

“It’s nice to have women’s views on things, and I think as long as we don’t paint ourselves as miserable old hags. I think women of a certain age tend to get painted as miserable and moaning and complaining, and I think it would be good to get up there and have fun. They’re great women, and I know a few of them, like Denise [Welch], I love her.”

According to The Sun, the London-born actress very much sees her career and life here in the UK, and would rule out a move Stateside.

She is attempting to brush off the Strictly scandal that has plagued her since she left the show in 2023. Amanda accused her Strictly Come Dancing partner Giovanni Pernice of being “unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean” – but last week insisted her complaints were “never personal”.

Her complaints saw the BBC launch an investigation and the corporation ended up apologising to Amanda after upholding some of her less serious claims against Giovanni , who has since quit the show. The apology included reference to Giovanni’s use of swear words and belittling language towards the mum-of-two.

Giovanni, 34, left Strictly after Amanda’s complaints, but always insisted his innocence. He said he was “relieved” the ordeal was over and claimed he only wanted to get the best out of the actress on the dancefloor. The Sherlock actress had claimed she was subjected to a “toxic environment” and “inappropriate, mean, nasty bullying” behaviour during her time on the 2023 series.

Despite her claims against the Italian star, Amanda has now insisted they were “never personal” and praised his talent. The surprise move saw her reflect on the scandal and share her hopes for the future of Strictly, admitting it is a “great” show. Amanda said she hopes the programme is “a happier place” and “now a good environment” following the investigation.

She told the Sun: “It was something that I never really wanted to do in terms of pursuing a complaint, but it was never personal. It was all about a healthy working environment, that’s what it was. I’m friends with a few of the dancers, so I still see a lot of the professional dancers, and we’re still in touch.”

She commented on the conclusion of the BBC’s investigation into the claims last year as Amanda said: “As the BBC has indicated today in its statement, my decision to come forward and complain about Giovanni Pernice’s conduct towards me was not an easy thing to do.

“In the days, weeks and months since I contacted the BBC, I’ve been accused of being a liar, a troublemaker and of being ‘mad and unstable’. I’ve also received rape and murder threats and a bomb threat was sent to my place of work.”

She added: “My family and children have also been subjected to threats and intimidation. Despite this vile abuse, I’ve never regretted coming forward, and today’s apology from the BBC is a vindication of my complaint.”

Amanda has continued to brand her time on the show and the aftermath, the hardest years of her life. She appeared on This Morning earlier in the week where she got emotional as she said: “It’s been tricky. I don’t want to go over old ground. I don’t regret what happened. It’s time to move on – it was one of the hardest years of my life.”
