Councillor Zafar Iqbal, the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, stated that “Ozzy was more than just a music legend; he was also a native of Birmingham.” It was important to the city that we supported a fitting, dignified tribute ahead of a private family funeral because he recently received the Freedom of the City and made a celebratory appearance at the Back to the Beginning concert earlier this month. We are aware of how important this event will be for his supporters.

The Osbourne family has covered the procession and the associated costs, and the council has assisted with the road closure.

Ozzy has been given a book of condolence at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in addition to Sharon Osbourne’s Working Class Hero exhibition, which Sharon Osbourne inaugurated last month.

Ozzy the Bull at New Street Station and The Station pub, where Black Sabbath first performed live in 1968, are located on Navigation Street and Ozzy the Bull at New Street Station.

Ozzy adored Birmingham and longed to return home for one final performance at Villa Park. He and Black Sabbath performed an incredible performance that he and Black Sabbath both knew would be his last to perform.

Birmingham, England July 22, 2025″ was the heartfelt announcement that Ozzy had made it home for one last time, which was written in the caption “Alsowhere.” Sharon and Ozzy had discussed moving from Los Angeles back to the UK.

He claimed that despite his battle with Parkinson’s and the numerous surgeries he had to have for a spinal injury, he was “distant to return home.” He broke down in May and declared, “It’s time for me to spend some time with my grandkids.” I don’t want to pass away somewhere in a hotel room. The rest of my life should be spent with my family.

He even said, “Everything’s f***ing ridiculous]in America,” and that he wanted to go back to the UK. He stated in 2022, “I’m sick of people killing everyone. God is aware of the number of school shootings that have occurred. Additionally, that concert’s mass shooting occurred in Vegas. … it’s f***ing crazy. “

Unfortunately, Ozzy passed away shortly after his final performance, surrounded by his family, who paid him a heartfelt tribute in a statement. Our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning, according to them, with more sadness than words can express. He was surrounded by love and his family. At this time, we ask that everyone respects our family’s privacy.

Details of the proces

It will descend from Black Sabbath Bridge to Broad Street for those who want to watch the procession. Fans will follow the cortege as the procession moves forward at 1pm, and the procession will start at 1pm.

Stewards will be present to assist those who have assembled in honoring the music icon. The event, which is anticipated to draw sizable crowds, has been made accessible to those who want to travel by public transportation.

Road closures

On Wednesday, July 30th, Broad Street will be closed from 7am to allow for the procession’s preparations. At 1pm, the road will be opened once the cortege passes through the road.

Hollywood icons Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway had been filming the sequel to the Devil Wears Prada just three hours before the New York City mass shooting which claimed the lives of four innocent people. Streep and Hathaway were just a mere 15-minute walk away from where the tragedies took place.

A man with a rifle killed an off-duty police officer and three other people before taking his own life on Monday.

The gunman – named in a press conference as Shane Tamura – struck at an office block in Manhattan, New York City, home to large companies such as banks and the National Football League.

Law enforcement is currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident and how this location might have been taken advantage of in the Big Apple.

Streep and Hathaway have been filming the sequel to the 2006 blockbuster sequel a few blocks away from the horrific shooting.

The Hollywood duo and fellow actor Stanley Tucci spent just 15 minutes walking to the tragedy’s site, which is located just 15 minutes away. Just three hours prior to the shooting, the three actors were filming scenes.

The city had recently announced it was on pace to have its fewest people hurt by gunfire than any year in recent decades. However, it is now mourning those killed, including “hero brother” police officer Didarul Islam.

Last night at a press conference, colleagues paid tribute to the 36-year-old man whose wife is expecting their third child. On Monday night, Tamura reportedly walked toward the building after leaving a double-parked BMW with an M4 rifle.

At a news conference on Monday night, police Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated that the NYPD officer quickly opened fire on the officer as he entered the building before fatally shooting a woman who tried to hide. Then, he began “spraying” the lobby with gunfire.

According to Ms. Tisch, the man shot a security guard who was hiding behind a security desk and another man in the lobby.

Pop diva Mariah Carey has declared boldly that ageing is a non-event for her as she simply doesn’t entertain the concept of time. The 56-year-old singer revealed that she’s written a song about her thoughts on getting older, before releasing her 16th studio album, Here For It All.

In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, she stated, “I don’t allow it … it just doesn’t happen.” I have no idea what time is. Numbers are not something I understand. I don’t pass judgment on time; my new song begins with that phrase.

Mariah and journalist Michaela Angela Davis spoke about reflection on her life while writing her memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey for the year 2020. Mariah’s numerous difficulties as a biracial woman growing up in Long Island, New York, were covered in the memoir.

Working together helped, she said, “Being creative was both therapeutic and challenging. We stayed up until midnight to determine how to proceed with the story.

I anticipated that it would bring up unpleasant experiences that I didn’t want to go back through. I’d wake up and be a little freaked out after listening to it because it was a difficult situation to go to sleep in. Because I experienced that and this is me.

Despite this, Mariah mentioned that she added some humor to her most recent work, particularly the album’s lead single “Type Dangerous,” which she described as “tongue in cheek.”

Reflecting on her mother’s impact on her illustrious career, she also added: “We didn’t always have the world’s greatest relationship but certain things she said or did resonated with me as a kid.

Gregg Wallace’s Masterchef behaviour is branded ‘disastrous’ by former winner

Gregg Wallace’s justification for his actions on MasterChef was compared to another BBC star in the process, according to Janet Street Porter, who later compared him to another BBC star.

Janet Street Porter has labelled Gregg Wallace’s justification for his conduct on MasterChef as “disastrous”. The 60-year-old TV personality was dismissed from the popular BBC programme following an inquiry that upheld 45 out of 83 accusations levelled against him.

The allegations ranged from inappropriate undress to unwelcome physical contact. Gregg has since expressed regret, but he steadfastly maintains that he is not “a groper, a sex pest, or a flasher.”

Following the launch of the investigation, Gregg disclosed his autism diagnosis. He criticised the showrunners for failing to “investigate my disability” or safeguard him from what he now perceives as a “protect me from what I now realise was a dangerous environment”.

In a chat with The Sun, he admitted: “I know I struggle to read people. I know people find me weird. Autism is a disability, a registered disability.”

He added that his autism was not caused by the claim that he “never wears pants.” Hypersensitivity is a trait that autism has.

However, Janet Street Porter, 78, took issue with Gregg’s defence during her appearance on Times Radio. She drew parallels between the MasterChef probe and an investigation into allegations made against Russell Brand.

After reviewing eight complaints against the former 6 Music presenter, the BBC issued an apology earlier this year. Two of these complaints were made while he was in charge of the business.

Anyone who was working class at the time was viewed as a little thick, according to former Celebrity MasterChef winner Janet. He lacks any justification, and everything he has done has been disastrous, absolutely disastrous.

John Torode and Gregg Wallace

She continued to draw parallels with another celebrity, stating: “He’s exactly like Russell Brand, he’s in his own world and they just do not see it. They do not see it. There’s plenty of people like that.”

Following a question regarding their behavior on MasterChef, the BBC split up with both Gregg and his ex-colleague John Torode. A complaint that John had used racist language eight years prior was investigated by the law firm Lewis Silkin, which led to its conclusion.

John, however, refutes the claim and claims to have “no memory of the alleged incident” and “does not believe it occurred.” Speaking in the immediate aftermath of his “sacking,” John said, “I am hearing and reading that I have been “sacked” from MasterChef and that I have no memory of what I’m accused of.

He expressed disappointment with how things were handled, saying, “The inquiry couldn’t even state the year or the date I was supposed to have said something incorrect. I had hoped that I would have some influence when I left a show that I’ve worked on since its relaunch in 2005, but events in the last few days seem to have prevented that.

The BBC has confirmed that the new MasterChef series will continue to air next month despite the controversy surrounding Gregg.

MasterChef contestants
(Image: BBC)

A BBC spokesperson stated: “After careful consideration and consultation with the contestants, we have decided to broadcast the amateur series of MasterChef on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 6 August. MasterChef is an amazing competition which is life-changing for the amateur chefs taking part. The focus of it has always been their skill and their journey.”

Given the circumstances, the broadcaster acknowledged the complexity of the decision, saying, “We appreciate not everyone will agree with it. The series, which was shot last year, does not in any way diminish our opinion of the seriousness of the findings made against both presenters. We have set out the behavior standards that we expect from those working for the BBC or watching BBC programs.

The spokesperson continued, “Despite what we may have already said, we think that broadcasting this series is the best course of action for these cooks.” We want the viewer to be able to choose to watch the series and make them properly known.
