Chesney Hawkes was close to tears during the latest episode of Celebrity Big Brother after Ella Rae Wise made a comment about him during her nominations

Chesney Hawkes was on the verge of tears during Celebrity Big Brother after a brutal blow from Ella Rae Wise. During this week’s nominations, the celebs were forced to deliver their nominations face-to-face. While some famous faces were able to share theirs without any issues, some were left emotional.

Ella chose to nominate singer Chesney, claiming he was in the same environment as Mickey Rourke when he made a lewd sexual comment towards her. She added that she believed Chesney should have defended her in the situation.

During a conversation with US star JoJo Siwa, Chesney became emotional as JoJo explained that what Ella had said was given in a “bad tone. ” Chesney said: “It was pretty mean,” as JoJo believed the reality star was “trying to get a rise” from Chesney.

Chesney said: “She was upset and she was angry and she kind of took it out on me, unfairly, I would say. I think the comment she made about me was the harshest one in that room to be honest. She questioned my being a man and not standing up for her. “

“That’s not a little flick, that’s a low blow,” said JoJo. The US star hugged Chesney, telling him he was a “good man” as the singer looked upset. Speaking in the Diary Room, Chesney said: “I’m a bit rattled to be honest, it’s mainly Ella’s nomination for me and what she said that has kinda upset me. The fact that she called me out and said I should have stood up felt a little bit harsh.

“I understand she was upset, she was probably lashing out. I feel like I have been protective of her. ” But Ella later attempted to rectify the situation, telling Chesney “a little protection would have been nice. ” He responded: “I’m a protective father of three, they’re your age the kids. it would absolutely kill me if you thought I wouldn’t be a man. “

Ella was left in tears after comments made by Hollywood star Mickey before he was booted out of the house. During a task, Ella said: “I have instructions for us all. This Easter, she got into the spirit of new beginnings when she made a somewhat shock decision to go “instagram official” with her surprising new boyfriend, the one and only Kentucky crooner with his own checkered love life, Billy Ray Cyrus. The line-dancing 63-year-old country star – and father of Miley Cyrus – was wearing bunny ears as he kissed a beaming and ageless Liz tenderly in the photo. So could he really be the one to help her past her years of achy breaky heartaches?

The unlikely couple first met on the set of 2022 film Christmas in Paradise and Liz hinted at an ongoing closeness last month when she posted a video of herself dancing in a bikini while one of his songs. But the weekend’s big reveal has drawn mixed reactions.

One fan posted: “Who else totally did not have this one on their 2025 bingo card? ”, the ‘Are You Kidding Me Right Now’ memes were flying and her only son Damian, 23, meanwhile left a supportive love heart emoji alongside a celebration emoji under the post. Meanwhile, best friend Trinny Woodall posted: “Happy Easter, my darling. I hope you’re having the best time. ”

It’s a sentiment many fans will echo. Because whether it be the late millionaire Steve Bing who initially refused to accept paternity of their son Damien or the late Australian cricket legend Shane Warne who once publicly spoke of his regret about their relationship, it’s been a difficult time for Liz. The bad luck started, of course, with Hugh Grant, now 64.

It was at his premiere for Four Weddings and a Funeral premiere that she wore that dress and became the overnight name on everyone’s lips. Hugh Grant’s career took off – and it took Liz along too for the ride. But fame’s curse was heartbreak. Less than a year later she was left humiliated after Hugh was notoriously arrested for picking up a Hollywood streetwalker Divine Brown. It was a blow to Liz – who had shunned most male attention before meeting Hugh.

Born on June 10 1965 in Basingstoke, Hampshire, her parents were teacher Angela and Roy who served in the Armed Forces, Liz was actually a young rebel: she hated sounded so much posher than her schoolmates and rebelled in a bid to “fit in.” That also meant becoming less attractive and “more punk”. She explained: “So many men took an interest, I wanted to make myself look as ghastly as possible. I did not want them to whistle any more. That was part of my rebellion — and fitting in with the others.”

But after moving to London, Liz enrolled in a dance and theatre course and realised that in order to find work, she would need to say goodbye to the nose ring and mohawk. Aged 22, she met Hugh Grant on the set of 1987 Spanish movie Remando al Viento. The pair swiftly moved in together, sharing a tiny flat in London. Both struggled getting acting work which Hugh, now 64, has since described as a time which “bonded them for life”.

But by 1994 things would change for both of them. Liz remembers Hugh first seeing her in the Versace dress. In a 2024 interview Liz revealed: “When he (Hugh) saw me in it for the first time he just went ‘Christ!’.” And so did the rest of the world.

Liz had arrived. The modelling and acting jobs flew in and soon she landed her first major role as Vanessa Kensington in the film Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. But her personal life was in free fall.

Notting Hill star Hugh had been in LA promoting his film Nine Months when he took a cruise down Hollywood Boulevard and was caught by police in a car with sex worker Divine Brown. Liz and Hugh were on and off for years but it was a humiliation the relationship could never fully survive. They eventually called it quits in May 2000, although they remained close friends.

In October that year, Liz had appeared to move on – when she was pictured kissing the late millionaire businessman Steve Bing at an Elton John concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden. A year later they too had split – and this was even messier. Steve had a new girlfriend, Brenda Swanson, when Liz announced in November 2001 that she was pregnant.

She took him to court for child support, only for him to tell the world it was her “choice to be a single mother” while denying reports he had cheated on her because they did not have an “exclusive” relationship. He also challenged whether he was the father at all. Unsurprisingly the mother-to-be was said to be “deeply distraught” at her ex’s ungallant implication that she had other lovers and was simply looking for her payday.

Damian Hurley was born April 4, 2002 with Liz’s ex Hugh as Godfather. Months later, DNA tests showed that Steve Bing was the father of Liz Hurley’s son. By that time, the damage was done. Liz refused his offer of £1. 8m in “financial provision” for Damian, saying that his money was now “not wanted or welcome”.

Women cheered Liz’s strength and resilience and we hoped she had met her happy ever after in dashing Indian businessman Arun Nayar. After five years of dating she married textiles heir and businessman Arun in March 2007 in not one, but two lavish events – a Christian ceremony held at Sudeley Castle in England and the second a Hindu ceremony at the Umaid Bhawan Palace hotel in Jodhpur, India.

Liz and Arun settled into an idyllic family life running a 400-acre organic farm together in Barnsley, Gloucestershire. In 2010 she told journalists how happy she was. “Arun is astonishingly good-natured and would be the last man on earth to feel overshadowed by me,” she said.

Later that year they had split. She fell into the arms of Warne, and her divorce was finalised a year later. She cited Nayar’s “unreasonable behaviour”. Just like with Hugh, they remain good friends to this day – but in terms of a relationship, it was not to be.

In the aftermath of the divorce, Liz was determined to put on a brave face. She told a US magazine at the time that she was “coping quite well” and “trying to move forward. “My husband [Nayar] and I had the most amicable divorce in the world and my lawyer said it was the cheapest case she’d ever handled because neither of us wanted anything,” she said.

But it was not a seamless as she might have many believe. Arun had played a big part in son Damian’s formative early years. And her son’s attachment to Arun was clear when in 2023 Damian posted a picture of the three of them reunited at a New Year’s Eve party, captioned, “MAMA & DADDY.” And it was not long after the divorce that she became engaged to Warne.

“Shane Warne has confirmed his engagement to actress Elizabeth Hurley after proposing at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship,” her spokesperson confirmed. Two years later, that romance had also crashed and burned.

“Look we’re still friends, we had years of great times together,” said Shane in 2018. “It wasn’t anything that she did wrong or I did wrong. I still love her. But there’s a big difference between loving someone and being in love with them. Unfortunately it got a bit too difficult in the end. ” In another interview he added: “The long periods apart were too difficult. The more you’re apart, the more you ask questions. I got jumpy about the time Elizabeth spent with Hugh Grant, for example. I still care for her. She showed me what a relationship should mean. ”

Little did she know but both he and Steve would later break her heart yet again – in a way that can never be healed. In 2020, Steve, with whom she had mended bridges some years earlier, tragically took his own life aged 55. She posted: “ I am saddened beyond belief that my ex Steve is no longer with us. It is a terrible end,” she paid tribute on Instagram. “Our time together was very happy… although we went through some tough times, it’s the good, wonderful memories of a sweet, kind man that matter. In the past year we had become close again. We last spoke on our son’s 18th birthday.”

More heartbreak was to come in March 2022 when Shane died suddenly of a heart attack at the age of 52, while on holiday in Thailand. Devastated Liz posted a picture of them together with the words: “I feel like the sun has gone behind a cloud forever. RIP my beloved Lionheart.”

Liz was on set filming with Billy Ray at the time – and he was going through his own romantic troubles.

He was in the midst of his divorce from long-time partner Tish, mother of his three children Miley, Braison and Noah. In October 2023 he married Firerose (real name Johanna Rose Hodges), but in June last year Billy Ray filed for an annulment, citing irreconcilable differences and “inappropriate marital conduct”. He also asked the judge to grant a temporary restraining order against his ex. Firerose filed her own court documents with serious abuse allegations which Billy Ray has strenuously denied.

He was also reportedly recorded on audio footage belittling his ex-wife and daughter Miley, 31. The Hannah Montana star previously said she inherited her “narcissism” for him – although grateful for his career guidance.

There may be red flags to outsiders but it seems both Liz and Billy Ray may be taking some lessons from the movie that brought them together in the first place.

Promoting the romantic comedy at the time, she said: “It’s about someone who’s been through life and it hasn’t worked out for her and she really is worrying that she won’t find her missing puzzle piece.

“So I think it gives hope and heart to people who are a little more mature but still want a happy ending. ”

“They still want a happily ever after,” she adds. Who knows, maybe Billy Ray and Liz will find that for themselves too.

Controversial rapper Kanye West took to his X, formerly known as Twitter, to claim he had an ‘incestuous relationship’ with his cousin when he was a minor

Kanye West has claimed he had an incestuous relationship with a male cousi when he was a child. While promoting his new song, COUSINS, on X/ Twitter, he said he and his cousin used to “act out” what they saw in pornographic magazines. He also shared a snippet of the song, which featured blurred visuals and semi-pornographic images stitched together.

In the song, the controversial rapper could be heard rapping about when he found adult magazines in his late mother’s closet. Detailing the inspiration for the song, he claimed it was about his cousin and the alleged incestuous relationship. The All Of The Lights star did not reveal the name of his cousin.

He claimed in the tweet which has been viewed by 4. 4 million people: “This song is called COUSINS about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn’t “look at dirty magazines together” anymore.

“Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw.

“My dad had playboy magazines but the magazines I found in the top of my moms closet were different My name is Ye and I sucked my cousins d**k till I was 14 Tweet sent. “

Kanye has never disclosed who the cousin is but previously brought up a cousin during an interview in 2018. Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, he said: “My cousin is locked up for murder and I love him. So he did a bad thing, but I still love him. “

Five years ago, Kim Kardashian mentioned the incarcerated cousin in Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project. The only thing known about the cousin was the fact he was convicted of murder at the age of 17.

Speaking to Marc Howard, president of the Frederick Douglass Project for Justice and director of Georgetown University’s Prisons and Justice Initiative, Kim explained: “[Kanye’s] cousin has a double life sentence for a murder that he committed when he was 17. “

Lizzie Cundy and her pal Vanessa Feltz were left overcome with emotion as they both reflected on the breakdowns of their marriages and the effect it had on them

Vanessa Feltz and Lizzie Cundy became emotional as they both opened up about their respective divorces. The telly pals opened up on Vanessa’s Channel 5 chat show on Monday.

Broadcasting icon Vanessa, 63, married orthopaedic surgeon Michael Kurer in 2983 and went on to welcome two daughters, Allegra, 38, and Saskia, 25. However, they later divorced one another in 2000. Elsewhere, model and actress Lizzie became one of the UK’s top WAGs when she married former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur ace in 1994, Jason Cundy.

Lizzie and Jason welcomed sons Josh, 29, and James, 25, during their marriage but sadly called time on their romance in 2012. While Jason has since remarried Hannah Pedley in 2015, Lizzie has not remarried.

During the latest episode of Vanessa’s show, a female named Julia took part in the phone in and revealed that she was struggling with her divorce – four decades after signing the papers to cement the end of her marriage. As Vanessa reflected on her own divorce from Kurer, she became emotional.

She said: “I can almost feel it being broken and just like Julie’s still crying nearly 40 years later, it doesn’t necessarily just snap back together. I think it depends how wholeheartedly you believed in the marriage, if you really thought – I know I really did – that you’re doing this forever and ever and every word spoke is true, is basically going from your mouth right to the angels, because you are properly truly in love and this is going to last forever and all the promises are real.

“Then when you think about it the way Julie is, I’m not in the least bit surprised she’s crying now. ” Lizzie went on to add: “It’s make me cry now actually, it really is. Because you want it to be forever, you get married for it to be forever and that’s what I felt Vanessa.

“And I was like you at a friend’s wedding and found myself overcome with emotion because I hoped my marriage would last forever. ” Later in the show, Lizzie opened up about the toll the breakdown of her marriage had on her.

The 56-year-old who often delights fans with her racy snaps on social media said: “At the time it broke my heart. As I said, I think I had a breakdown, I didn’t eat, I lost an incredible amount of weight. I was very upset and Vanessa you were there and supporting me very much. “

Nowadays though, Lizzie has a much better relationship with her ex-husband. She explained that it was crucial that she and Jason became friends. “There’s no point being bitter and angry and that does go. And when I see him now, I don’t think of that at all,” Lizzie said.

Speaking previously about their divorce and Jason’s infidelity, Lizzie said on This Morning : “I was hiding a lot of pain and I wouldn’t wish divorce on anyone.” She added that she fell in love shortly after their split but the relationship didn’t work out. “He’s in the book it was a big part of my life.

“In some ways it helped my get through my divorce, I know I was quite low, it was pretty tough and I didn’t want to live at times,” she added.

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins has shared a touching tribute to her good friend she called ‘more brother’, Rhys Alan Smith, who died in Tenerife four years ago

Gemma Collins took to social media to share a touching tribute to her late friend Rhys Alan Smith. The former TOWIE star posted on Instagram with a reel of throwback images of the pair.

The images were shared alongside the backing track of Mariah Carey singing Always Be My Baby. She wrote a heartbreaking tribute to him in which she called him “more brother than friend”.

Gemma wrote: “What I would give to be on a boat with you NOW. Today is a very sad day. Never forgotten to special to forget our memories will last a life time.

“I know one day we will meet again. Forever in my heart RHYS my special friend more brother then friend. Wishing love and strength to RHYS special and amazing family today. “

Among those sharing comments was Gemma’s friend, and Rhys’ ex, Harry Derbidge. He simply shared two love heart emojis, one of which was broken. Gemma replied to his comment to say: “He was the love of your life we all know it. “

Rhys was found dead in Tenerife in April 2021. Following police officers being called to an address in Granadilla de Abona in Tenerife on April 22, a police source said at the time that “there were no obvious signs of any violence and at this stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious or the result of a crime. ” It was later confirmed he had died by hanging.

Gemma has posted about Rhys on a number of occasions since his death. A month after he died, she claimed she received messages from her late friend from beyond the grave.

She explained how she was out gardening when what she called an “angel feather” floated down beside her. The reality TV star dubbed it a “sign” her pal was still with her.

At the time, she took to the Gemma Collins Podcast to talk about the painful experience, and said the message from Rhys gave her “comfort”. She told listeners: “My dear friend, who was like a little brother to me, sadly passed away and it has been so awful.

“If anyone is feeling not themselves or is struggling please speak to someone. ” She went on to say: “I did take a week off because I was so distraught. Recording this podcast makes me feel happier and do you know what guys, I missed you all week. “

She added: “I really got some comfort the other day, which started to make me feel better – I was watering my trees and a little white angel feather fell down as I was watering my trees.

“If you listen to my podcast you know I believe in that sort of thing and it did give me a bit of comfort. My dear friend Rhys, may he rest in peace. “

The Women’s Football Awards will see some of the biggest names in the game come together to celebrate the achievements and contributions of those in women’s football

England Women’s midfield dynamos Keira Walsh and Georgia Stanway are set to be honoured with prestigious accolades at the 2025 Women’s Football Awards next week. Both players will be bestowed with Special Recognition Awards in a nod to their remarkable contributions to football, both on home soil and internationally.

The glitzy ceremony, which gathers some of the most prominent names in football, will be jointly hosted by BBC presenter Gabby Logan, football icon Jamie Carragher and ex-Lioness Eni Aluko. Sponsored by Shein, VISA, and ScottishPower, the annual bash is the biggest of its kind in Europe and applauds extraordinary achievements and contributions to women’s football.

Walsh, a true pioneer in the sport, will be acknowledged not only for her impressive playing career but also for her dedication to nurturing grassroots girls’ football.

The highly-respected Lioness played a crucial role in establishing the Rochdale Girls Development Centre in 2023, which offers gifted young players in the region access to top-notch coaching and facilities.
