Donald Trump mocks Taylor Swift in White House speech to huge laughter

When it comes to his feud with Taylor Swift, Donald Trump has to be disciplined, and he couldn’t help but criticize the singer in a speech to the Philadelphia Eagles, the team’s champion quarterback, for the Super Bowl.

Donald Trump has seized his opportunity to mock Taylor Swift after the singer openly endorsed his rival in the 2024 election. The 47th US president, 78, couldn’t help but take aim at the 35-year-old icon in his latest White House speech after welcoming the Super Bowl winners, Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles defeated Kansas City Chiefs in the huge NFL fixture on February 9, with Swift in attendance cheering on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. However, her appearance on the jumbo screen at the time was met with a mixture of boos – and Trump couldn’t wait to mock her once again.

Speaking to the team in his speech, Trump said: “I was there along with Taylor Swift.”

The crowd was then rhetorically asked, “How did that work out?” He repeated, “How did that one work out?,” to the delight of his audience.

It’s not the first time Trump has took aim at the Shake It Off star. Taking to Truth Social following the Eagles’ victory in February, Trump ruthlessly blasted her by sharing contrasting clips of his applause versus boos which emanated from the crowd when she was projected on stadium screens at New Orleans’ Caesar’s Superdome.

Taylor Swift was the only person who had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a different user’s post with the caption “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while booed.” She exited the stadium with a BOOOO. “MAGA is very unforgiving”!

Swift was not forced to leave the stadium due to the jeers, contrary to what he claimed.

The pair’s most recent public outburst was just the latest example of how they have never hidden their animosity. On his Truth Social platform, Trump previously said, “I HATE Taylor Swift.”

After Swift publicly backing Kamala Harris in the lead-up to the last US election, he made an unexpected outburst in September of last year.

Trump had publicly questioned her political allegiances after he had praised her for being “beautiful” but had publicly questioned her. He declared in June 2024, “I think she’s very beautiful! She is very lovely, in my opinion.

She appears to be liberal, I believe. She presumably dislikes Trump. She is, in my opinion, very talented. She is incredibly beautiful, in my opinion, which is unusually beautiful!

However, Trump continued to e-mail Ramin Setoodah, the co-editor-in-chief of Variety, asking, “But she is liberal, or is that just an act. She is genuinely liberal, right? It’s not a performance, is it? It surprises me how a liberal country star can succeed.

As well as backing against Trump in 2024, the singer also endorsed Democrat Phil Bredesen in the Tennessee mid-terms in 2018, as well as previously backing Joe Biden and Harris in 2020.

Swift also publicly criticised the then-President for his comments about Black Lives Matter protesters, accusing him of “igniting the flames of white supremacy your entire presidency.”

Gwyneth Paltrow ditches the ‘hardcore’ Paleo diet as pasta back on the menu

Gwyneth Paltrow, the actress who turned wellness guru, discusses being “obsessed” with her diet in a recent Goop podcast, revealing that she is now eating pasta once more after years on the restrictive paleo diet.

After years on a strict paleo diet, Gwyneth Paltrow says she’s once again incorporating carbs and fat-heavy foods into her diet again. The CEO and founder of the wellness and lifestyle company, Goop, has long been known for her restrictive diet, even making headlines in 2023 when she shared her daily diet of bone broth and coffee. But now pasta, cheese and sourdough bread are back on the menu.

Speaking on the most recent episode of the Goop podcast, For The Love of Food, Paltrow spoke about her diet, and how this has recently evolved. Paltrow explained that her and husband, Brad Falchuk, began their paleo diet “a few years ago”, but that she’s grown “a little sick of it”.

The actress acknowledged that “I am] returning to eating some sourdough bread and some cheese.” A little pasta, I said that. after being so long-held about it.

While she considers herself paleo, Paltrow has been a strong advocate of the macrobiotic mindset, saying: “I went into hardcore macrobiotics for a certain time, that was an interesting chapter where I got obsessed with eating very, very healthily,” she said.

While the Paleo diet emphasizes plant-based protein sources and is rooted in a more holistic and balanced approach to wellness, macrobiotic diets emphasize plant-based sources with a more holistic and balanced perspective. Whole foods are both a part of both diets, as are unprocessed foods.

READ MORE: Gwyneth Paltrow responds to backlash over ‘bone broth’ diet and blames ‘chronic’ illness

She believes that her obsession with ‘clean’ eating had a lot to do with the poor health of her late father. She said: “I was really trying to heal my dad by proxy and he just didn’t really want anything to do with it.” Her father, Bruce Paltrow, died in 2002 after a years-long battle with throat cancer.

What began as a way to deal with her father’s health turned into a new interest for Paltrow. She explained that “I really strengthened my connection with food and the macrobiotics philosophy as a whole.” Her new approach to food made fish, vegetables, and rice the focus of her new approach, cutting out sugar and dairy.

Now that she has a new perspective on food, Paltrow admits to being a little too enthusiastic. She said during the podcast, “I think that time period might have been a little didactic about it.”

Paltrow said she still cares about how food can contribute to and promote a healthy lifestyle despite loosening the restrictions on her diet. We had such incredible power that, if we treated ourselves well, hydrated, and consumed whole foods, we might feel so much better. She shared that she was “kind of intoxicated by that idea,” and she still feels that way today.

For the uninitiated, the paleo diet is based on the notion that eating like our ancient ancestors – during the Palaeolithic era – will reduce the risk of certain diseases and lead to overall healthier bodies. According to the Mayo Clinic, the modern paleo diet typically consists of fruits, vegetables, lean meats and fish, nuts and seeds – foods that early humans could get from hunting and gathering.

Under the diet, everything from wholegrains to dairy products to processed foods are a no-go. Unsurprisingly, the diet became a weight loss fad that gained popularity in the early 2010s. The British Heart Foundation addressed the diet during its height in 2015, advising that: “Cutting out dairy products and starchy foods, particularly wholegrains, means losing key sources of fibre, calcium and energy.” They warn that the diet “could affect your health in the long term.”

But Paleo is just one of many in the long-list of diet fads, though it is bares a similarity to the Atkins diet. The Atkins diet also recommends reducing carbohydrates and encourages high-fat and high-protein intake as a method to lose weight.

Goop offers suggestions on how to “hack the genes that impact weight loss and metabolism,” despite the fact that it doesn’t directly promote restrictive diets to encourage weight loss. Additionally, Goop offers a variety of “detoxes” and meal plans that temporarily impose restrictions on dairy, gluten, sugar, and processed oils. However, Paltrow’s most recent revelation may, at least for the time being, signal that the paleo fad is over.

The NHS has continually promoted well-rounded diets, saying that: “eating a healthy, balanced diet is an important part of maintaining good health”. This includes starchy foods, which the NHS says should make up just over a third of everything you eat as well as dairy products which are a strong source of protein.

The NHS also says the public should avoid diets that recommend fasting or cutting out entire food groups. Their guidance says: “These types of diets do not work, can make you feel ill, and are not sustainable because they do not teach you long-term healthy eating habits.”

According to a 2023 study on the unintended consequences of dieting, restricting one’s diets without medical advice or supervision can lead to major long-term health issues, including elevated cholesterol levels and an increased risk of heart disease.

The mother of Celebrity Big Brother star JoJo Siwa has hinted at the real reason for the star’s shock split from fiance Kath Ebbs. Despite declaring her love for her partner on a number of occasions inside the ITV house, the 21-year-old reality star called off her engagement at the reality show’s afterparty.

Kath, 28, has shared a number of cryptic posts and shared their dismay at the situation on social media, while JoJo had initially remained tight lipped. However, mum Jessalynn, has seemingly hinted at why the split came about – and it’s not to do with Chris Hughes.

Reddit users were quick to speculate after seeing a post from Jessalyn online. In a forum on the social media platform, one user said: “Did you see JoJo’s mum reposted this?? Implying the break up wasn’t related to Chris but about JoJo finding herself.”

A TikTok user said in the video, “Kath removed the video of JoJo Siwa and I’ll explain why.” JoJo and Kath haven’t broken up because of Chris, in my opinion. Kath is trying to convey that sort of story.

Because JoJo is unaware of who she is, JoJo has broken up with Kath. She is self-determining. In my opinion, she entered that relationship when she shouldn’t have.

Some people believe the user hit the nail on the head when JoJo’s mother later reshared the upload.

Speaking on This Morning on Monday, where she appeared alongside Chris, JoJo explained the break-up wasn’t planned. She told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard : “I’ll be honest – that wasn’t a plan. That wasn’t an intention.

They initially told me they didn’t want to attend the wrap party, but they later decided they did… I responded, “No,” when they immediately inquired whether I was happy. There was a conversation that did occur there after one incident.

The Dance Moms star responded, “Obviously, we’re close,” when Ben then inquired about the significance of her relationship with Chris.

Former Love Island star Chris added “Our friendship is just a really strong bond between two people – it’s a soulmate friendship and to me it’s that energy where it’s not the standard friendship … It was beautiful. My favourite thing I got from the show.”

In the questioning, the hosts attempted to persuade the American actress if there might be a romantic spark between the two people. She reportedly declined to downplay the possibility, calling out, “He’s a great guy.” We have a lot of fun together because life is life, and it’s platonic.

I have no idea what the future holds for anything. I’m very appreciative of our relationship, and I’m grateful for life’s refusal to “shut down a potential romance between them” whatever life may do.

Kneecap break silence with apology to families of Jo Cox and Sir David Amess

Rap trio Kneecap has offered condolences to the MPs’ families. Following Downing Street and Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch’s condemnation of the band’s performance at a concert that appeared to show one Kneecap member urging support for the killing of MPs, the band offered condolences to Sir David Amess and Jo Cox’s families.

The band member said, “The only good Tory is a dead Tory,”’ the video from the November 2023 concert. Your neighborhood politician should be dead.

The footage, along with a video clip from a different concert in November 2024, in which a band member appeared to shout “up Hamas, up Hezbollah,” are being examined by counter-terrorism police in London. Both events are prohibited as terrorist organizations in the UK.

Kneecap claimed it was the subject of a smear campaign in a statement apologizing to the Cox and Amess families.

Conservative Sir David was shot and killed in 2021, while Labour MP Ms. Cox was shot and killed in 2016.

After the footage was released, Katie, Sir David’s daughter, criticised the band.

The Belfast group, which includes Liam Og O Hannaidh, Naoise O Caireallain, and JJ O Dochartaigh, “reject any suggestion that we would seek to incite violence against any MP or individual,” they said in a statement posted on X.

They claimed that the video was being “exploited and weaponized” and had been purposefully omitted from context.

Jo Cox, who was killed on June 16th, 2016 in her Batley and Spen constituency by neo-Nazi terrorist Thomas Mair.

After speaking out about the Gaza conflict, the band has claimed that it is being targeted by a coordinated smear campaign.

Kneecap rebuffed all attacks on civilians and claimed to have never supported Hamas or Hezbollah.

We express our sincere condolences to the families of Amess and Cox, saying that they never intended to hurt you.

The message of Keecap has always been and continues to be one of love, inclusion, and hope. This is why our music has attracted hundreds of thousands of fans at our shows and continues to resonate with people of all ages, cultures, and classes. That won’t change with a smear campaign.

The Prime Minister criticized the recent remarks made by the band in the video in “completely unacceptable” terms on Monday, according to Sir Keir Starmer’s official spokesman.

Mrs. Badenoch remarked that Kneecap’s “anti-British hatred has no place in our society” and that it is “good” that the police are looking into the allegations, adding that “Kneecap’s glorification of terrorism and anti-British hatred has no place in our society.”

She continued, “This requires prosecution,” adding that “after the murder of Sir David Amess.”

While working as business secretary, Mrs. Badenoch halted the government’s grant to the bilingual Belfast organization.

However, after the UK government acknowledged it was “unlawful,” Kneecap won a discrimination lawsuit in November of last year.

There would be no more public funds going to Kneecap, according to Downing Street.

The Prime Minister’s spokesman said, “I don’t believe organizations like that should be receiving taxpayers’ money.”

Meanwhile, Labour MP David Taylor has written to the Glastonbury Festival organizers to request that Kneecap be dropped from the lineup this year.

Kneecap’s recent performance at the prestigious music festival Coachella, which took place in California, also received criticism in the US.

Kneecap displayed signs at Coachella that read, “Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people,” “It is being supported by the US government, who arm and fund Israel despite their war crimes,” and “F*** Israel.” Palestine that is free.

The band addressed the string of controversy in a lengthy statement, saying, “They want you to believe that words are more harmful than genocide.”

Establishment figures have sifted through hundreds of hours of footage and interviews to extract a few words from months or years ago to create moral hysteria.

We never support Hamas or Hezbollah, and let us be clear: we do not and never have. Always, we condemn all acts of violence against civilians. Never is that okay. Given the history of our country, we are more aware of this than anyone else. Additionally, we object to any suggestion that we would try to stoke violence against any elected official or politician. ever .

“An extract of footage is now being exploited and weaponized, as if it were a call to action,” according to the statement. This distortion is a clear attempt to derail the real conversation, not just absurd.

“Israel is currently starving every two million Palestinians in Gaza. In Gaza, at least 20, 000 children have died. Even after Keir Starmer was notified in August that children were being systematically executed with sniper shots to the head, the British government continues to provide arms to Israel.

The powerful in Britain have encouraged slaughter and famine rather than defending innocent people or international law principles. Real rage and outrage should be directed at this.

The statement continued, “Suddenly, there is an avalanche of outrage and condemnation from the political classes of Britain, days after calling out the US administration at Coachella to applause and solidarity.” Our performances do not reflect the real crimes; instead, those responsible for them are whispering and complicit. Shame on them.

Apparently, footage from the November 2024 concert at London’s Kentish Town Forum and the November 2023 concert is being evaluated by counter-terrorism authorities.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said on Sunday that a video from April 22 that is thought to have occurred in a November 2024 incident had been sent to the counter-terrorism internet referral unit to be evaluated and to see if any further police inquiries are necessary.

Another video that is thought to have been filmed at an event in November 2023 has also been made public.

He added that the police are “evaluating both to see if further police investigation is required.”

The Met’s Counter Terrorism Command has a counter-terrorism internet referral unit (CTIRU), which is tasked with locating terrorist and extremist material online.

If the content infringes upon the law, police will launch an investigation.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

Even though it may seem like a good idea at the time, taking a shortcut ultimately fails and you don’t succeed. Make sure you follow the instructions when you next attempt the same task despite your disappointment that you will have another go at it.

Taurus (Apr 21 – May 21)

You find it surprising that no one in the group speaks out when a discussion goes off topic. Context is always important, but some messages’ content is unacceptable, and a probe will be conducted. Make sure your words are thoughtful and respectful.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)

Important people and occasions that you are close to will be brought up in conversation. Sometimes it’s just the way you refer to someone rather than who or what you know. Significant advantages will be gained from presenting these associations confidently.

Your perception of beauty is enhanced. This makes it a great time to visit stunning locations like parks, art galleries, and museums. You might also find it inspiring to give a helping hand to those in need or to make a donation to a charity. We will be grateful for your contribution.

Leo (July 24 – Aug 23)

Keep your thoughts to yourself, even if it seems like a friend or coworker will fail. Their determination may surprise you. Drastic actions are not necessary. They will appreciate your letting them know that they can do this.

Libra (Sept 24 – Oct 23)

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 20)

Aquarius (Jan 21 – Feb 19)

A delay will occur at work due to irregularities. Due to computer crashes, canceled meetings, and staff shortages, arrangements must be made quickly. Someone you anticipated meeting will arrive late or not show up at all. Be prepared for some challenges.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

The biggest impact on your mood in the morning will be a family issue. A little patience and kindness will be required if a relative is upset, even if there is nothing you can do to resolve the situation.

BBC presenter Jeremy Vine details trolling ordeal in emotional interview – ‘It got to me’

BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine has spoken about his decision to no longer post cycling videos on social media after announcing the news to his followers on the weekend

Presenter Jeremy Vine has spoken about his decision to no longer post cycling videos on social media. The radio host has said that “three things came together”, including him having to deal with a backlash over such content.

Jeremy, 59, has been known to prompt discussion on X with footage of himself cycling in London. He’s criticised some motorists and once stated in a post that cyclists “get the blame” for “all the bad driving around” them on the roads. The BBC Radio 2 host however announced yesterday that he won’t be posting cycling videos moving forward. He told his followers that “trolling just got too bad” and suggested that he didn’t want to experience that when he gets a new bike, after sharing that he had his bike stolen recently.

Jeremy has since discussed the situation on BBC Radio 4’s World at One. Speaking to Sarah Montague, he said about his decision: “Three things came together. Firstly, I’ve got a book out, secondly my bike was stolen as you’ve mentioned, and thirdly, Sarah, I do have to deal with quite a lot of incoming, what you would have called flak in the olden days, but now they call it trolling.”

He then read out apparent examples of comments that he has received. One comment that he shared read: “Jeremy, you’re beyond hated. Please only upload another cycling video if it’s you getting run down and hospitalised. “

Jeremy said on the show: “I shouldn’t mind, but in the end I just thought I just want to now switch the narrative. I don’t want to do this any more and in the end it did get to me. “

Later questioned by radio host Sarah over whether his own behaviour had been “militant”, Jeremy said: “If you drive and you’re wanting your kids to be safe on the back, you’re just a sensible person. If you cycle and you’d really rather not have your head crushed by the wheel of a bus, you’re described as militant or radical. No, no – I’m just a safety first kind of a guy. “

The interview comes after Jeremy announced on Sunday that he would no longer post cycling videos on social media. In a post on X, he wrote: “Small announcement. I’m stopping my cycling videos. The trolling just got too bad. They have had well over 100 million views but in the end the anger they generate has genuinely upset me. “
