John Torode and wife Lisa join pals at Amanda Holden’s party after his MasterChef exit

Yesterday, Amanda Holden hosted a garden party for Lisa Faulkner, John Torode, and Alan Carr. Photos from the event were shared today.

Former MasterChef host John Torode and his wife Lisa Faulkner were among the guests at a garden party hosted by Amanda Holden over the bank holiday weekend. The couple joined other celebrities at the recent gathering.

Amanda, 54, hosted a party at her home in Surrey yesterday to celebrate having renovated her garden. The Britain’s Got Talent judge has said that she had the “most amazing day” with family and friends, who included long-time pal Lisa, 53, and her husband John, 60, at the summer get together.

Lisa and John teased that they were heading out in posts on Instagram last night. They shared a photo that showed the couple dressed in matching white outfits in a living room. In his caption, John wrote on the platform yesterday: “Sunday best and so out with [Lisa] & wonderful friends.”

More recently, photos shared by Amanda showed the couple at the party itself. One photo showed Lisa and the host stood beside pals including Angela Griffin, Tamzin Outhwaite and Nicola Stephenson in the garden.

In the caption that she included in her post today, Amanda described the group as her “lovely friends.” She also wrote to followers, “My lovely friends at our Mexican garden party! more photos to come soon.

Another photo showed the group with additional guests, including Lisa’s husband John and Amanda’s pal Alan Carr. The host wrote: “The most amazing day celebrating our finished garden […] with our beautiful friends and family.”

Lisa responded, “Such a lovely day! Thank you for a wonderful evening. John also shared the photo on his account, and he wrote, “That was so fun. Thank you, Crispy and Mandy.

Amanda has also shared additional party material. A video was included that showed the celebration. What a wonderful day, she wrote in the caption. She praised the event planners and vendors who had been involved in the event, saying “everything was purchased and paid for.”

John’s attendance at the party comes following the news last month that he would not have his contract for MasterChef renewed. Production company Banijay said that an investigation into his co-star Gregg Wallace’s behaviour by firm Lewis Silkin had “substantiated an accusation of highly offensive racist language against” John. John has however said: “I have no recollection of what I’m accused of.”

His wife Lisa later broke her silence after his departure from the show. In a video message, she thanked fans for their support, saying: “Hi there. I just wanted to check in and say hello. I’m here and just thank you for all your lovely comments because they really, really mean a lot. So thank you.”

The BBC had previously said: “John Torode has identified himself as having an upheld allegation of using racist language against him. This allegation, which involves an extremely offensive racist term being used in the workplace, was investigated and substantiated by the independent investigation led by the law firm, Lewis Silkin. John Torode denies the allegation.

He has stated that he does not believe the alleged incident occurred and that he does not recall any of it. Additionally, he asserts that any racial expression is completely unacceptable in any setting. This upheld finding is taken seriously by the BBC. We have already stated that we have to take action against the makers of MasterChef, Banijay UK, and that we will not tolerate any kind of racist language. The contract with MasterChef will not be renewed for John Torode.

Then, according to John, “I’m seeing and reading that I’ve been “sacked” from MasterChef and I’ve been told that I’ve been ‘sacked’ from the BBC or Banijay… I’m recollecting what I’m accused of. The inquiry couldn’t even identify the year or date that I was supposed to have said something incorrect.

“Even though events in the last few days seem to have prevented that, I had hoped that I would have some say in my departure from a show I’ve worked on since its relaunch in 2005. I’ve been thinking about my life and how it will change over the coming and future over the past few months.

My final film, Celebrity MasterChef, will feature two incredible Christmas specials and I recently filmed with Grace Dent. I’ve loved working on MasterChef every minute, but now it’s time to turn over the cutting board. For whoever ascends, I adore it as much as I do.

“I’ll watch intently from a distance as I work on a number of other exciting projects.” After 20 years of eating, my stomach will be grateful for a rest, but what a relief it has been. Life is ever-changing and ever-moving, and occasionally there were other people’s true happiness and fulfillment. I appreciate you for MasterChef’s many years.

According to Banijay, the legal team at Lewis Silkin that concluded the allegations against Gregg Wallace also supported an accusation of offensive racism directed at John Torode, which occurred in 2018. Banijay UK and John Torode have formally discussed this matter, and Lewis Silkin has upheld the extremely serious complaint. We have come to terms with Banijay UK and the BBC about ending his MasterChef contract.

Helen Flanagan breaks down in tears as she admits she ‘ f***ing hates co-parenting’

Helen Flanagan, the star of Coronation Street, cried as she spoke out about the realities of parenting with Scott Sinclair, an ex-fiancé.

Helen Flanagan told fans she ‘f***ing hates co-parenting’ as she broke down in tears in an honest rant shared on her Instagram Stories on Monday. The 35-year-old soap star cried on camera while wearing a grey pyjama set with her blonde hair tied up into a messy bun.

After attending Manchester Pride on Sunday, she dropped off her kids, Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, with ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair. As the former couple are co-parenting, the kids spend some of their holidays with the footballer but Helen isn’t the biggest fan of the set up.

Helen acknowledged that she struggled “absolutely.” I find it difficult when they disappear, and I only enjoy them disappearing when I do something. I’m currently experiencing a lot of anxiety.

Helen struggled with the absence of her children.

The Coronation Street star admitted she didn’t want her children to go before adding: “I just f**king hate co-parenting. I really really struggle…

I really struggle when they disappear, she says. They should not leave, I don’t like it. If I’m doing something, I only like them leaving. Simply put, it’s very difficult. It’s just really difficult, especially when you’re not moving along.

She continued, “Your babies, you can’t speak the same when they leave.” Because I’m always with the kids, I had a lot of anxiety recently, so I haven’t had a minute. This may help me some. It has two sides…

“When they leave, I want them back, and when I’m with them constantly, I get really depressed before f**king.” It makes me feel like I can’t drink [hands]… Yesterday, I didn’t drink that much.

I never drink a lot, and I always stick to tequilas. Although I’m not going to stop crying right now, I do believe it’s worthwhile to cry just to get it out.

She acknowledged that she recently experienced “bad anxiety,” and that she believes that because of the children returning to school, she can get organized by getting dressed up and having fun with my friends and getting some sleep, and getting some things done that I can’t normally do.

The actress claimed that she has been experiencing “a buildup of anxiety,” which hasn’t been “easy.” I’m fine, Helen said. Being alone is a real struggle for me because I’m always with one of my friends, not just in a relationship.

I’ve known my friends for a long time, which is why I enjoy using social media so much because I’m constantly interacting with people.

I can’t possibly think of anything worse because I’m so bad at being on my own. I really have no idea how to do it. I prefer my friends over me, and I dislike being alone. That is my breakdown, enough. I’ll create a list so I can be productive.

Cheryl Fergison fell for Moroccan toyboy over Skype after his daring 5-word response

After meeting online, former EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison fell for a man 21 years her junior, and their wedding was a nightmare.

Finding fame playing hapless Heather Trott in EastEnders, Cheryl Fergison’s rollercoaster life is as dramatic as any Albert Square plot. Now, as she approaches 60, her bombshell autobiography, Behind The Scenes, gives a candid insight into some of her most memorable moments.

In part three of our exclusive series, in extracts adapted from her book, Cheryl reveals how she met her Moroccan husband Yassine el Jamouni, 39 – who is 21 years her junior – for the first time, after falling in love while they chatted online.

And, in the words of her great pal and EastEnders stalwart, Steve McFadden, who wrote the foreword to her book: “When Cheryl tells a story, people listen. She is engaging and holds court like no one else.”

Cheryl was a 45 year old single mum when she met her second husband, Yas(Image: Tim Merry/Mirror Express)

According to Cheryl, “Yassine, or Yas, as I came to call him, was warm, funny, and never-endingly curious.”

I had a 45-year-old divorce and had to balance working and raising my child. He was 24 years old, residing in a Agadir, Morocco suburb, fixed computers in hotels, spoke Arabic, and was teaching himself English from tourists, television, music, and now, me. We began texting each other late at night, and essentially we were his human Duolingo.

He sent her selfies with his family, which led to their online friendship.

“Of course, I was struck by his handsome brooding appearance, caramel skin, and skillful stubble, but the conversation also felt innocent.”

Cheryl continues, “Soon, we were messaging every single day,” in EastEnders at the time. After a long day of filming, I would drive home from the set and watch as if Yas had written, which would present a small flurry of messages like modern love letters that were all awaiting to be opened.

Yas’s curiosity was only heightened by her reluctance to reveal too much about herself.

Cheryl writes, “His next message popped up a second later: “I don’t understand. Do you belong to MI5? I yelled. It was so ridiculous to imagine me posing with a handgun, drinking matinis, and defusing bombs in Albert Square between takes.

Cheryl Fergison

She eventually admitted to having trust issues and was a “larger lady,” and they eventually started making nightly Skype audio calls. Yas was having a serious relationship with Cheryl.

She states, “He began saying, Goodnight beautiful, on each call.

He said, “I think I love you,” just before hanging up one night.

I said, “I think I love you too, too,” in a heartbeat.

She kept getting angry until one night, when she shut her laptop down, she said, “I’m going to meet this man.”

As she waited for a flight to Casablanca, Morocco, where she would board a 35-minute transfer to Yas’ hometown of Agadir, EastEnders fans recognized her as she found herself in Gatwick Airport.

The panic started to permeate the place once there.

She states, “My heart started to pound.” I’m unable to breathe. I’m unable to breathe. Why am I here, exactly?

You flew to a country you’ve never visited before to meet a man you’ve never met in person. You don’t even speak the language. Are you completely insane?

Cheryl Fergison

Yas was nowhere to be seen when I looked around for him. My trusty battered black case with the purple ribbon fastened to the handle slammed against me as I searched for my bottle of water in my bag, hands shaking.

When I bent to grab it, a second hand reached down as well. Yas’s hand, not his hand, was it. And there he was.

She recalls Yas telling her, “I knew the moment I saw you, Cheryl,” just months later. that I would marry you and that I would be my future wife. “

And when she eventually accepted his proposal and told her EastEnders pal Steve McFadden, she writes: “Steve gave a low chuckle and stood up to pull me into one of his trademark bear hugs. ‘Blimey,’ he said, giving me a squeeze, ‘it only took you going halfway across the world to find a bloke….You’d better tell the scriptwriters then. Heather Trott getting a Moroccan husband might be the best storyline they’ve had in years!’”

However, their romantic wedding on May 2, 2011 was not.

She describes the wedding as “the worst I’ve ever attended.” In the Agadir register office, Yas and I were standing alone. It was a tiny, tiled room, which resembled a public restroom in all respects. The man who wed looked like Mr. Bean’s spitting image.

“Married by a Moroccan version of Mr. Bean in a tiled toilet. Only my life, to be honest”!

Cheryl Fergison
In 2015, Cheryl’s world was rocked with an unexpected health diagnosis(Image: Tim Merry/Mirror Express)

Cheryl was informed that she needed a hysterectomy after being diagnosed with womb cancer in 2015.

She writes, “The doctor entered, gently closed the door behind him, and gave me that look.” I’m really sorry, Cheryl, he softly said. Not encouraging news, then. You are cancerous. Stage II womb cancer

I was watching myself watch an episode of EastEnders, and it felt like a soap opera.

“Am I going to die?,” I asked myself at first. How do I tell Alex about my second? Yas then appeared in my head. He was in Morocco. He would say what? When he realized kids were completely unattainable, would he still want me?

Why me, I wanted to scream.

I desired the director to yell “cut,” and that the scene would be over and that I could leave the set.

“But something sprang from within the shock and sadness. I’d previously been knocked down, and I’d always sat up straight. “I could do it again.”

She had some tragi-comic experiences that many menopausal women will identify with, including an early menopause caused by her hysterectomy.

She writes, “The next morning, I go to heat up some milk and there they are,” after going through her keys for a long time one night. The bloody microwave has my keys inside. Cheryl, you are amazing. top grades Why do they even exist in a microwave? Did I intend to defrost them?

“It turns out that having no womb results in hormonal doom,” she said. We’re talking about night sweats, brain fog, hot flashes that make you feel like you’re slow roasting in an oven, and other unpleasant emotions. Isn’t being a woman just marvellous?

Snoop Dogg was hit with criticism after he made controversial comments about LGBTQIA+ representation in movies. The 53-year-old Vato rapper angered fans when he said he felt uneasy about taking his grandson to the cinema after being shocked at seeing same-sex representation in Disney’s movie, Lightyear.

He claimed that same-sex representation was “always present” in movies when he made the comment on the It’s Giving podcast. He asserted that “what you see is what you see,” and it is everywhere. When Snoop saw Alisha Hawthorne with her wife and child, he said his grandson was perplexed.

Snoop remarked, “She had a baby with another woman,” adding, “They’re like that.” In the middle of the movie, my grandson says, “Papa Papa Snoop,” right? How does she become pregnant with a woman? She’s a woman! ‘”

The Drop It Like It’s Hot singer, who caused outrage after performing at one of Donald Trump’s inaugural events, claims he had no idea how to respond to his grandson.

He said, “Oh sh**, I didn’t come in for this sh**,” and I was shocked. I’m just about to watch the movie “Goddamn”. His grandson then responded, “She and she had a baby, they’re both women,” and he replied, “It’s true.” How is she expecting?”

Snoop remarked that the situation “f**ked me up,” adding that it “threw him for a loop.” I’m afraid to go to the movies, I guess. You’re throwing me into a shitstorm for which I have no idea what to do. I was thrown for a loop by it. What scene in the movie was this, I wonder?

He expressed concern about Lightyear’s LGBTQIA representation.

He claimed that while kids are naturally curious, they should be shown LGBTQIA representation to young audience members.

“These are kids,” he said. At this age, we must demonstrate that. They will inquire. He responded, “I don’t have the answer.”

The rapper received criticism from fans on social media and expressed their disapproval. According to one user, “Snoop was not on my bingo card because he was the biggest disappointment ever.”

Another wrote, “God forbids children from seeing representation, and parents must talk to their children about it.” One parent said, “He showed his true colors at the inauguration, and now he is showing his hatred.”

One irritable user wrote, “It’s because people of his generation refuse to educate themselves, so they don’t know how to educate the generation the claim is “raising.”

One fan said, “Wow. I feel so foolish to have ever liked him. Why are we unable to have our voices heard in any way without outcry? It doesn’t have a agenda. Sometimes all we want to do is appear in the media and entertainment. Is that a “so wrong”?

Rap trio Kneecap have told fans that they have been forced to cancel tour dates due to one of member’s upcoming UK court hearing in relation to a terror charge. The Irish group were due to play 15 shows in the US in October.

The announcement comes before Liam g hAnnaidh, who is referred to as Mo Chara on stage, is set to appear in court. After his legal team claimed the case should be dismissed because of a technical error in the way the charge was brought against him, he will go back to Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 26.

The 27-year-old is accused of holding a flag in support of the terror organization Hezbollah at a concert held at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, north London, in November of last year. Chief magistrate Paul Goldspring will make a decision at the September hearing when he will determine whether he has the authority to hear the case.

Naoise Caireallain and J. J. Dochartaigh are among the band’s members who have already informed fans that they won’t be playing at their October US shows. They earlier today announced the news in a statement.

The band claimed that the court hearings were held in part because their tour opener was scheduled for the following day. However, they made a promise to travel “even more frequently” in the future.

The band stated in a social media post on Monday that “we have some bad news for all of our fans who are based in the US.” We will have to reschedule all 15 of our October US tour dates because our next court hearing is in London is close to our tour’s start date.

The band continued, “We are sad to deliver this news to tens of thousands of fans, with every show completely sold out.” However, once we win our case in court, which we will, we’ll commit to taking you on an even bigger tour.

They claimed the tour would be refunded at the point of sale. Additionally, Kneecap also stated that they would be “sharing something very special” with American fans the following week, which would mean “we can still connect with you all in October.”

Kneecap confirmed that Canada’s four sold-out October shows will continue. The band will play in Vancouver and Toronto, which also include “free Palestine” in the post.

Belfast-based band formed, and they recorded their first single, “The Band.” The group has released songs like Get Your Brits Out, Better Way To Live, Grian Chatten from Fontaines, DC, and The Recap, as well as their provocative lyrics in both Irish and English.

In April, they made headlines with footage that appeared to show a band member saying “Kill your local MP” at one gig and “Up Hamas, up Hezbollah” at another. The families of murdered MPs have been forgiven by Kniecap, who claim to have “never supported” Hamas or Hezbollah. Avon and Somerset Police said they would not be taking any further action in July despite the fact that they were also being investigated for their set at the Glastonbury Festival in June.

Burning Man chaos as as guests injured and tents damaged amid 45mph dust storm

Before the week-long event in Black Rock Desert in Nevada officially opening yesterday, Burning Man’s Black Rock City was hit by dust and wind storms over the weekend.

On Saturday, a dust storm reportedly hit Burning Man’s Black Rock City and sped up to 50 mph.

A dust storm involving winds of up to 50mph is said to have led to several injuries and damaged campsites at Burning Man’s Black Rock City on the weekend. The gate into the community in the US was temporarily closed at one point.

The event, held annually in Black Rock Desert, located north of Reno, Nevada, is running from August 24 to September 1 this year. Early arrivals for Burning Man, which has attracted celebrities such as Cara Delevingne and Paris Hilton in previous years, faced adverse weather on Saturday though.

Images from social media sites showed dusty conditions at the site, with wind and visibility affecting tents as a result. Four minor injuries are said to have occurred. Additionally, it’s reported that a community art installation was destroyed and that campsites were damaged.

According to the radar we were monitoring, one attendee, Angie Peacock, “we were anticipating 35 mph winds, so we made sure everything was secure around our camp,” she told the San Francisco Chronicle on Sunday. Very quickly, things completely turned “white out” conditions.

Attendeess claimed they could not see 15 feet in front of them at the time. Even though we tried our best to tie everything down, we saw structures being torn down and ripped down by the winds, according to Angela.

Angie claimed that some people hid in shipping containers while others stayed in their cars. The attendees claimed that everyone has come “closer together” because of the situation and are confident that their camp will resurrect.

A Burning Man spokesperson told the Mirror: “Black Rock City 2025 is underway, and the communal effort and resilience of the Burning Man community is on full display. Participants are setting up camp and, due to Saturday evening’s dust and wind storms, are supporting others where repair work is needed for camps and art installations.”

The Black Rock Desert is not specifically addressed by the media, according to them. The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory on Saturday, August 23 for the Black Rock Desert.

“Over 45 mph were spewed over 45 mph over a long period of time.” The participants and staff were advised to close their camps and refrain from driving in low visibility. Normal operations resumed within two hours after the Gate was temporarily closed.

The spokesperson then confirmed that the storm had resulted in a number of minor injuries. According to them, “The wind and dust caused four minor injuries.”

The statement concluded by reiterating the status of weather updates on the BRC Dashboard for the community. The spokesperson added that those attending can access a survival guide that is available on the company’s website.

Burning Man participants and the general public can access the BRC Dashboard to find out about Black Rock City’s most recent weather and traffic updates. Details on preparedness and safety are included in the detailed information in the Burning Man Survival Guide, which was provided to all participants and is accessible to the public.
