Inside James Haskell’s blended Christmas with ex Choe Madeley – and his hopes for fly-on-the-wall TV show

James Haskell has revealed that he and his ex-wife Chloe Madeley will spend Christmas morning together. The former rugby player and his daughter Bodhi, who is the daughter of the legendary TV duo Richard and Judy, have two-year-old daughters, and James claims the former couple are determined to be together on December 25 despite having to separate in the afternoon.
James, who recently moved into his new home, said: “We’re going to be together on Christmas morning and we’ll do it all the same, and then I’ll go home and go to Chloe’s parents.” We’re trying to make it as easy as possible”.

“And I’m with my parents and I’m serving them a Christmas dinner that someone else made because I just moved into my home.” I’m making it easier for everyone by getting someone else to make it because I’m a nightmare in the kitchen and don’t have all the utensils.
Despite their split, which they announced last October, James, 39, and Chloe, 37, have remained as amicable as possible and James even confesses that he would love his ex to get her own reality show.
Although James claims he didn’t “love” being in the fly-on-the-wall series, he thinks Chloe really shined and deserves to be in another series. The pair first appeared together last year in the same film, At Home With The Madeleys, which also featured Chloe’s famous parents.

James says, “Chloe had her reality show, which I was meant to have a small part in.” And then it became part of the narrative. So it certainly wasn’t my show. I haven’t watched it back. I can recall how funny it was, and how tongue-in-cheek I was. They obviously had a narrative, which didn’t necessarily represent a reality, but it was a nice story that they wanted to have.
He adds:” I had a lot of fun doing it and Chloe’s super intelligent, she’s a natural. She’s very, very good and I just thought it was fun. Chloe was fantastic and I really enjoyed playing up to a certain character. She deserves it, so I hoped she would receive another series made specifically for her.
“It really showed Chloe for who she is, and it was fun to do.” She’s an incredibly hard working woman, very intelligent, has a best-selling book and is a PT. Because I was away from home DJing a lot and wanted to do it for her, she had to balance a lot while we were filming.

Their blended family Christmas appears to be a successful follow-up to the festivities from last year, which Chloe revealed in an exclusive conversation with OK! She claimed in January that she had “nailed” Christmas with their child.
Last Christmas, the former couple came together on Christmas Day with Chloe’s parents, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, and Chloe said: “Bodhi was more interested in the wrapping paper than the presents, but we all came together as family and it was so lovely,. I’m so proud of how James and I came up with the idea for the day’s appearance in the weeks leading up to Christmas. We discussed our goals for the future, and we decided to spend time with Bodhi as a family.
I told him when we made the decision to split up that we wanted to spend more time together, not just Bodhi spending time with each of us, but also making time for the three of us to remain together. I think for our first Christmas as co-parents, we nailed it. “
