Kim Kardashian fans beg star to defend Luigi Mangione in court

Fans of Kim Kardashian, 44, have urged the star to step back from reality TV and instead turn to legal matters.

After he was shot dead on December 4, Luigi Mangione, 26, has been charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Mangione’s arrest has been met with a controversial response, with some expressing sympathy for the alleged killer. In an unusual twist, many Twitter users have emailed Kim to defend the young man who has been denied bail because Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend has vehemently opposed prison reform and is currently pursuing a legal career.

One person predicted on X, “Why does it feel like Kim Kardashian will represent Luigi in court?” another responded, “Chile, I know Kim Kardashian is already on her way to see Luigi,” and a third jokingly questioned, “So what happens next?” In a court of law, Kim Kardashian joins Luigi Mangione to defend him.

Fans begged Kim to get Luigi Mangione “pardoned” (AP) after he was charged with killing CEO Brian Thompson, and he has since been charged with that crime.

Some even went further and suggested Kim could save Mangione to get him to work for Skims, her clothing line. “Tbh if]Mangione] wasn’t going to jail &amp, he somehow went free he’d be walking so many shows &amp, book campaigns he’s lowkey the modern day prison bae kim kardashian is looking at ways to set him free as we speak!! the inevitable skims campaign will break the internet…” one person said, with a second echoing, “Kim Kardashian needs to get Luigi pardoned and then put him in a Skims campaign”.

Kim, a member of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, has been pursuing legal training since 2018 and frequently campaigns to have US prisons’ death sentences commuted. She passed the “baby bar” exam in 2021 after failing it three times. It is for students who have completed one year of unaccredited law school.

Despite rumors that she had given up on the dream of becoming a lawyer, she gave fans an update on her legal journey this summer. She also revealed that she is still working toward it. “I can’t deal w all these f**king hearsay exceptions! She captioned a photo of her extensive note collection on her Instagram Story as “my least favorite subject in law school.”

Fans speculated that Kim, who is training to become a lawyer, would free Mangione and “put him in a Skims campaign” (Getty Images).

After Robert Kardashian rose to fame defending OJ Simpson, Kim was initially motivated to follow her late father into law. He would have been my best study partner, despite knowing that this is my current path. He would have been my biggest cheerleader, according to what I’ve heard, but he was known for making fun of people who didn’t succeed on their first try as he did. she wrote to her followers.

“Bottom line is don’t ever give up even when you are holding on by a thread, you can do it!!!!! When you get to the other side, you have to put your mind to it and work it out.

Kim’s update may come as a relief to fans who see her backing Luigi Mangione, after a source told The Sun in February that Kim allegedly found studying “tedious” and “never-ending”. After all the work and all of her talk about pushing for prison reform, she couldn’t drop it, they added. “She can’t drop it without looking bad, looking like she couldn’t pass it.”

Solange ‘supporting’ Beyoncé ‘no matter what’ after Jay-Z rape allegations

Solange Knowles, 38, has reportedly chosen to stick by her sister amid troubling allegations against her brother-in-law Jay-Z, 55.

On Sunday, Jay-Z was named in a civil lawsuit, in which he was accused of raping a teenager in 2000 alongside fellow rapper Sean Diddy Combs, 55, while an unnamed female celebrity watched. Jay-Z has strongly denied the accusations.

Since the news broke, Solange has reportedly stated her support is unmistakable. She is said to be “supporting” Beyoncé “no matter what”, according to Page Six, with an insider telling the outlet: “Solange let Beyoncé know she’s there for her sister and is available to talk anytime she needs” and adding that she “reached out to Beyoncé the moment she heard about the allegations. The Mirror has reached out to Solange’s representatives for comment.

Solange hasn’t publicly spoken about the allegations against Jay-Z, but an insider claimed she’s ‘ there for her sister ‘ (WireImage)

Beyoncé, 43, has seemingly chosen to support Jay-Z in the days since allegations emerged, and attended the Mufasa premiere in Los Angeles with him on Tuesday, along with their daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and Beyoncé’s mum Tina Knowles. Jay-Z took to Instagram on Monday to vehemently deny the allegations made against him, despite other family members’ continued silence regarding the civil case.

On the page of his label, Roc Nation, he wrote:” My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘ lawyer ‘ named Tony Buzbee. He had anticipated that these allegations’ nature and the prospect of public scrutiny would lead to a settlement.

“No sir, it had the opposite effect! I wanted to make you known for being a fraud in a very public manner. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!! I ask that you file a criminal complaint rather than a civil one because these allegations are so heinous! Would you not agree that anyone who commits a crime against a minor should be kept in lockstep?

He continued: “These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case. This lawyer, who I have done a bit of research on, seems to have a pattern of these type of theatrics!

” My only heartbreak is for my family. One of my wife’s children, who is at the age of 18, will undoubtedly see the news, be asked about the nature of these claims, and to explain the cruelty and lust of people, is where we will have to sit down.

“I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children shouldn’t have to deal with this when they are young. It is unfair to have to investigate the absurdities of human nature intended to destroy families and the spirit.

“I have no idea how you came to be such a horrible person, Mr. Buzbee, but I swear you I’ve seen your kind many times, and I’m more than capable of dealing with your kind.” You claim to be a marine?! Marines are known for their valor, you have neither honor nor dignity. “

Jay-Z said, “It’s my heart and support goes out to the real victims in the world, who are forced to watch as this ambulance chaser dresses up in a cheap suit for profit.”

“I’m not from your world. I’m a young man who managed to escape Brooklyn’s project. We don’t play these types of games. Our standards for integrity and conduct. We protect children, you seem to exploit people for personal gain.

” Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable. I’m eager to let you know how I’m different.

The New York Times contacted me on Twitter on Tuesday to ask how he responded to rapper Jay-Z’s claim that I tried to extort and blackmail him. My response is pretty straightforward. No one has made any threats. Jay Z’s assertions are bogus and laughable.

Instead, our firm requested a mediation request on behalf of a woman who claimed Jay-Z sexually assaulted her as a minor. Our client, who favored a resolution over filing a lawsuit, reviewed and approved the letter. In these kinds of situations, this tactic is prevalent. You are now seeing a coordinated and desperate effort to divert attention away from the allegations being made by my clients. This includes offering former clients money to pursue me, which is against the law, along with harassing my family and coworkers.

It reminds me of Shakespeare’s famous line, “The lady doth protest too much, methinks,” when an alleged perpetrator acts in such a manner, wildly claiming that a basic demand letter is “extortion” and aggressively attacking the opposing lawyer in front of the media while ignoring the allegations being made by the alleged victim. In due course, we’ll bring all of these issues before the court hears them. Let me be clear: We will not be bullied or intimidated by these shenanigans. And our clients won’t be silenced”.

‘I worked on Death in Paradise – there’s a reason nobody stays on the show long’

Don Gilet, a new Death In Paradise star, has been warned by Ardal O’Hanlon that the job is “gruelling” and impossible to do for more than a few years, despite the fact that he was only working 12 hours per day for six days a week.

Ardal was questioned about his time on the hit BBC drama’s DI Jack Mooney from 2017 to 2020 and admitted it wasn’t easy and he was envious of the possibility of guest stars who could fly in and out of Guadeloupe while promoting a new stand-up tour. He was even given a talk of doom by the producers to get him ready for the enormous filming sessions while it was still hot. Looking back, actor and comedian Ardal, 59, said: “God, that was tough. Like, people don’t believe you when you tell them how tough it was. For that and every other aspect, I was so appreciative. And I look back on it now as a really great experience, kind of life changing experience, I would say, because it’s not just that you’re playing a lead in a popular BBC primetime drama. It’s more of a lifestyle thing.

“It was a radical change of scenery for me to move from a place where I rarely leave the house to kind of live outdoors for four summers, six months of the year, but it was grueling because of my enormous workload.

“And, of course, I’m not complaining about the work, but you have so much to prepare every day, so you don’t have much downtime at all, you don’t have the chance to enjoy the attractions out there. I used to be envious of the actors who were there! The suspects and the victim, you know, there’d be five or six guest actors every couple of weeks, and they would come over and they’d have such an amazing time.

” Like, they’d be there for a week or two, maybe in for two or three days, the rest of the time they’re sitting by the pool, drinking cocktails and me working me arse off, 12 hours a day, six days a week! I was very envious of them, therefore.

You simply have to get ready every day and think quickly. There was so many reasons for leaving it, I’d done four summers. That also has a negative impact at home. My family stopped coming over to see me, but I was aware of the writing on the wall.

Ardal O'Hanlon
Ardal played DI Jack Mooney from 2017-2020 (BBC)

He added: “They kind of tell you that at the beginning, like they said, ‘ You know, you might last two years or three years, but you know, you probably won’t last four! You can’t possibly handle it without preparation. The producer and I remember spending a day together when they came over. Before I went out there, I probably spent about a month here. And he was basically trying to go, ‘ You know, you can still get out of this, if you want! ‘ Do you know what I mean, he was kind of almost… he was really painting a very bleak picture saying, ‘ You know, like, it’s gonna be tough. ‘ You know, there’s hurricanes to deal with. There’s people going crazy because, like, people go stir crazy in that environment, you know, you’re always dealing with something, like there’s creatures that want to kill you”.

Ardal, a former Father Ted actor, was speaking to promote his new 2025 stand-up show, Not Himself. Explaining the subject matter, he said: “I suppose it’s loosely around that whole idea of identity. In the UK, where I regularly perform stand-up, I’ve noticed that comedy is a very diverse form of media right now, and that the majority of people I run into talk about their identities, whether it’s race, gender, social class, sexual orientation, or whatever. In Northern Ireland religion will come into the mix as well, religious background.

“So it’s a really big thing in comedy right now, and I suppose my style was… I once had a tendency to be a joker; in other words, I thought I was a craftsman, making up jokes that were entirely fictional, with a slight surreal twist, or whatever.

And I suppose in more recent years, I’ve just been, I suppose, inspired by all those comedians that I work with, I suppose reflecting a little bit more on who I am, where I’m coming from, my upbringing and my relationship with with world around me, with technology, for example, that’s a big part of my show, how our identities are shaped by the technology we use. “

Ralf Little, who played DI Neville Parker for five years, took Ardal’s place in Death In Paradise.

In the upcoming Christmas special, DI Mervin Wilson will play the role of the show’s new lead.

With over 8 million viewers tuning in to Death in Paradise, the 2024 series is still the most watched return drama in the UK across all broadcasters and streaming services.

Gino D’Acampo makes statement on ITV future after ‘inappropriate behaviour’ claims

Gino D’Acampo, who has been accused of “inappropriate behavior,” has spoken out about his TV future.

After an unnamed woman accused the Italian, 48, of improper conduct over a five-year period, he was at the center of a row. Last week, the woman who allegedly worked with Gino between 2006 and 2011 filed a complaint with ITV executives. It was alleged Gino had been ‘ sidelined ‘ by the broadcaster.

The TV chef is yet to directly address the allegations, however, Gino took to Instagram today to saying he “can’t wait” for viewers to watch his ITV show with First Dates, Fred Sirieix, Emission Impossible, in December. Gino and friend and collaborator Fred worked together on the new series, which “attempts to go green” together.

The celebrity chef posted: “I can’t wait to go back on the road with my French brother @fred_sirieix… #EmissionImpossibleGDx” on December 16 and 17, sharing a montage of photos of himself and the Frenchman, including one in which Fred donnes a wrestling leotard and Gino poses in a pair of shorts and a vest.

In response to numerous reports about Gregg Wallace’s treatment of the BBC’s MasterChef presenter, an unnamed woman made the allegations against Gino public last week.

A source close to the latest complainant said: “She worked]with Gino] for five years. She has come forward in response to the Gregg Wallace scandal and his comments that his accusers are middle-class women of a certain age, according to a source in the Sun.

We have a duty of care to any complainant that comes forward, according to an ITV source. The Mirror has contacted Gino’s reps for comment.

The father-of-three, who has appeared on This Morning, was allegedly terminated from the ITV series Gordon, Gino, and Fred: Road Trip after allegedly refusing to sign a morality clause in his contract, which stipulates that parties must adhere to stringent behavioural standards.

Sources told The Sun that while on the set of his latest show with Fred Siriex, Emission Impossible, Gino was accused of flashing crew members, who were reportedly offered counselling. The source told the publication: “Filming was halted and Gino was put on a training course. In 2024, some of his humor and antics have grown increasingly objectionable.

Gino’s dating program Cooking Up Love was canceled after two episodes, and Gino has only appeared on This Morning twice this year. However, he is set to be back on screens with Family Fortunes next year, which has already been filmed.

Vernon Kay rages at ‘stressful’ problem at home that’s giving him ‘grief’

After struggling with a single task, Vernon Kay has opened up about “grief” at home in an on-air rant.

The TV star vented his frustration with printers and the ongoing problems they cause at home on his BBC Radio 2 midday show.

He said: “From experience in our house, it’s the only piece of modern technology, and I’m including the kettle and the toaster and the fryer, it’s the one piece that causes you the most grief. They’re a nightmare printers, they really are. We’ve got one, I went for the basic [one] where you’re online and you can allegedly print from your Wi-Fi… doesn’t work.

“If you email it, [it] doesn’t work. Paper jam, still exists. How in 2024 is a paper jam still a thing? ! Be honest and we must resume some sort of technology program. ‘Don’t use this, it’s garbage, get this one’. You know what I mean? Be clear about the difficulties of technology. “

Vernon also recalled his shopping experience, saying: “When I went and bought it there were so many printers on offer, they did so many things. It’s like, ‘Listen, all I need to do is to help my kids print off their homework, that’s all it is, I don’t want this, that and the other’. “

After receiving a flood of messages from listeners sharing their own printer horror stories, Vernon added: “Oh, they’re a nightmare. I’m glad I’m not the only one though because it causes a lot of stress on a Sunday, because that’s when we do the majority of homework… my work. “

When a fan shared their frustration over printer woes, leaving them in tears, he sympathised: “I feel you, it’s a nightmare, it’s so difficult. “

With his wife Tess Daly and their two daughters, Vernon shares a six-bedroom Buckinghamshire home. Phoebe, 20, and Amber, 15. On his radio program, which recently included a humorous confession, the devoted father and son frequently share snippets of their family life.

The 50-year-old presenter playfully berated his family for not letting him fulfil his dream of having ‘a chickenarium’ at their home.

He revealed: “It’s funny isn’t it, when your kids ask, ‘Can we have a hamster, can we a goldfish, can we have a gerbil? ‘. You’re like, ‘Yeah, no problem as long as you look after it, you’ll be fine’. “

“But when I want a chicken, not a chance, it’s not fair! They’ve got ponies and all sorts. But, I want a chicken, and I can’t have a chicken. Going down to the garden, pulling the eggs out, and saying, “Look what we’ve got,” has a romantic quality. “

“I’ve been desperate for a chickenarium, but they won’t let me have one. “

Determined to have his way, he added: “Right, when I go home tonight, I’m going to tell the gang that we’re having a chickenarium. And they’ll go, ‘What’s one of them? ‘, and I’ll be like, ‘Just you wait and see’. “
