Amanda Holden shares husband’s five-word warning ahead of ‘boozy’ night out

Amanda Holden’s hubby Chris Hughes has given her a light-hearted caution ahead of Heart Radio’s office party tonight.
The 53-year-old presenter recalled an earlier Christmas project with the crew that resulted in her falling down some stairs at a restaurant.
Jason King, affectionately known as JK, joked that today he looked like the Milk Tray man, and Amanda said, “That’s good because you probably will be throwing two people over your shoulders to get us out of a restaurant later.”
I recall that during my first year at Heart, we had drinks and a Christmas party and I fell down the restaurant’s final three steps before stomping on my knees.
“And, I just put the prayer sign up and said to the waiter, ‘thank you so much for a lovely evening’, and walked out like nothing had happened. That it how you style it [out], that’s it! “
With a hint of trepidation for what the night might bring, JK interjected: “And this is what I’ve got in store? “.

“I promised my husband,” Amanda continued, before revealing: “He said, ‘don’t get too battered Mandy’. I’ll do my best. “
However, hinting she may well ignore the friendly advice, she joked: “It’s the season to get battered! Amanda “warmed up for other attendees to join her, JK, and Ashley Roberts in letting listeners know she was eager to start the festivities from the early afternoon, not just the evening.”
The radio host has received a telling-off from her other half before, and this is not the first time.
She confessed to me just last October that she was eager to pick up her Christmas decorations sooner rather than later.
“Everything’s going up in my house on November 15. I might go even earlier,” she declared.
“And I’ve finished my Christmas shopping. That’s what I told my husband because there’s so many packages in my house, he’s like ‘gosh Mandy, you’ve got to stop, you’re haemorrhaging’.
And when I said, “I’ve finished my Christmas shopping,” I looked him in the eye. I’ve done, I’ve basically nearly finished it. “
