You didn’t need to know much about boxing to understand the power of two images from Saturday night.

John, 35, is best known for his on-screen work, having appeared on shows such as Strictly Come Dancing since he won the Great British Bake Off in 2012. After forcing himself to complete the challenge, Joel wrote: “Not the race I expected! I fainted at mile 17 – don’t really remember much but I woke up in an ambulance! “

He continued: “Thanks to Frankie and Barry for being amazing. I really wanted to finish it. After a few hours my pulse was back and I got going again at a very different pace but really got to soak it all in.
