Strictly Come Dancing star, Vicky Pattison, shares a close friendship with former TOWIE favourite, Pete Wicks, who took to the dance floor on the BBC show last year
Strictly Come Dancing pals, Vicky Pattison and Pete Wicks have shared a close friendship for years
Strictly Come Dancing pals, Vicky Pattison and Pete Wicks have shared a close friendship for years. The Geordie Shore star, 37, who was the 11th celebrity to be announced as joining the BBC show today, is following in Pete’s footsteps, after he slipped into sequins for the series last year.
The pals are so close, that Pete, 36, was a ‘flower girl’ for Vicky’s lavish wedding last year, with the reality star telling Lorraine ahead of the bash: “Pete is embracing his role of flower girl. He’s going to arrive tonight and I have no doubt going to show us some fantastic moves as he walks down that aisle.’
She added: “When we found out he had the Strictly gig we’d already planned him coming to the wedding so he’s flying in and out very fast. He’s a really good friend so this has been conflicting for him.” It comes as Vicky lifted the lid on her Strictly signing on This Morning today.

Diogo Jota made a heartbreaking promise of ‘forever’ to his wife just days before the fatal car crash that claimed the life of the Liverpool football pro and his brother, leaving behind three young children

Liverpool star Diogo Jota was newly married to his childhood sweetheart when tragedy struck in a horrific car crash earlier this summer.
The talented footballer and his brother Andre tragically died in a car accident near the city of Zamora in Spain on July 3, and the football world has been in mourning ever since.
Diogo married his Rute Cardoso, 28, in a lavish ceremony on June 22, just days before his death. Sweet snaps show the loved-up couple with their three young children, blissfully unaware of the tragedy that lay before them.
Now, his wife and children will be present at Liverpool’s Premier League opener this evening where the team will play against Bournemouth. It’s thought the club will pay tribute to their late player, with them retiring the number 20 shirt in his memory.

Childhood sweethearts
Diogo Jota and Rute Cardoso first met in their teenage years in Porto, Portugal, having attended the same school. Friends and family watched as their relationship blossomed alongside Diogo’s own rise through the footballing ranks.

From local youth clubs to making his mark in the Premier League, Rute was always by his side, a constant support during the pressures of professional sport.
Diogo and Rute recently tied the knot in Portugal
Together, they built a family, welcoming three children over the years. Son Dinis was born in 2021, while Duarte was born in 2023. Their daughter arrived in November 2024.
Those close to the family described Diogo as a devoted father who cherished every moment with his children, sometimes sharing snaps with his followers online.

After years together, the couple finally tied the knot on June 22, 2025, in an intimate ceremony in Porto. The wedding was attended by friends, family, and teammates who gathered to witness the union.
The couple shared glimpses of the special day on social media, with Diogo captioning a post, “A day we will never forget,” and Rute responding, “My dream came true.” The footballer replied, “But I’m the lucky one”.
The wedding day itself was a picture of happiness, from their first dance to moments of quiet intimacy shared between the couple. It seemed to mark the beginning of the next chapter in their lives, but sadly 11 days later news broke of Diogo’s fatal crash.
It was a day of great joy, followed by a night of dancing(Image: INSTAGRAM)
Stunning pictures shared via Instagram show the couple beaming from ear to ear in front of a church altar, with Rute looking breathtaking in an ivory dress and flowing veil.
In one photo, they are accompanied by their three young children. Another snap shows the couple emerging from the church amid a flurry of confetti, embarking on what should have been the first exciting steps of a long and happy life together.
Just 11 days after their wedding, Diogo and his brother André Silva were killed in a catastrophic car crash on Spain’s A‑52 highway. Reports indicate that their Lamborghini suffered a tyre blowout, veered off the road, and caught fire, leaving no chance for escape.
Heartbreakingly, Diogo’s final social media post was the couple’s wedding video that was posted less than 24 hours before the accident.
Special vow to three children
Diogo is survived by two sons and a daughter who was born in December 2024. Just a month before his daughter arrived, the footballer opened up about mental health and family life in a video on his club’s YouTube channel.
Sitting down with Lee Richardson, the club’s performance psychologist, Diogo highlighted how football, being a team sport, can sometimes allow players to mask their feelings.
“As a team sport, you can sometimes hide or benefit from what the team is doing or not. And in those individual sports, like boxing, Olympians, [they’re by] themselves. So when they are not good, you can clearly see something is wrong,” he shared.
The doting father went on to discuss his children, explaining that even after being on the pitch all day, he had to be “on it” when he came home to his family. He shared: “When I go home after playing, I still have a family. I have two kids, three almost, and the dogs, and the stress, it doesn’t stop.
In a poignant vow to his family, he said: “You want to be the best father you can be”. The star added: “[You] try to lead by example, give him good feedback, even though sometimes you want to get a bit more rest in the afternoon, and they are all happy because you’re finally at home and they want to play. I had this yesterday after the game. I wanted to get a bit of rest. One of my kids wanted to play some football and you need to be on it.”
Wife’s statement
Mere hours before his death, Diogo shared footage from his wedding video(Image: Instagram/@diogoj_18)
The brothers had been heading to the Spanish port of Santander so Jota could return to Liverpool for pre-season training.
Their funeral took place in their hometown of Gondomar, near Porto. Rute made her first statement following his death on the one month anniversary of their wedding, posting three pictures from their big day, including a close up of the pair holding hands.

While filling a cosmetics bag can prove pretty costly, particularly with everyone scrambling to try the latest viral sensations and new launches, there certainly seems to be a growing appetite for affordable makeup once again. And Boots is cementing its status as the go-to retailer for exactly that, with the launch of not one, but three budget-friendly brands both in store and online.
With the rise of social media, there was a surge in shoppers opting for more luxury products and celebrity favourites. However, with the cost of living crisis and customers getting more savvy, shopping habits have shifted, with more beauty fans looking for high-performing products that don’t drain the bank.
This summer, the retailer has announced the launch of three of TikTok’s most talked about brands– one of which will no doubt bring nostalgic joy for many after. It comes as the high street favourite is set to see more than 400 new cosmetics lines landing in the coming months.

Boots isn’t the only retailer leaning into the budget-friendly beauty trend, either, as this week saw the launch of Trouble Maker into Superdrug. The bold new brand promises innovation at pocket-money friendly prices, with prices starting from £2. Meanwhile, Sephora’s own brand Sephora Collection offers a range of cosmetics , skincare and more from £1.99, with more than 450 product lines to choose from.
The three brands that have hit shelves at Boots this week are Catrice , an affordable German brand, alongside SheGlam making its UK debut, and the much-missed Essence will be returning to the high street, delighting customers who have been begging to see it make a comeback.
After the closure of Wilko stores across the UK, Essence was like gold dust, but Boots is making it easier than ever to get your hands on. Known for Lash Princess mascaras and Juicy Bomb Shiny Glosses , the brand delivers ultra-affordable prices starting from £1.29.

One product expected to be a hit is their Jelly Grip Hydrating Primer, which costs £3.99 . If we had to liken it to a more expensive product, we’d say its tacky formula works in a similar way to Milk’s Hydro Grip Primer, which retails at £35.
Catrice is another name dominating TikTok right now, racking up over 26 million views in the past week alone. The clean, cruelty-free and vegan brand has been praised for products like the Aqua Splash Grip Primer and Under Eye Brightener , which have earned loyal followings for their quality and accessible price point. The Catrice range’s most expensive product is £6.99 for their Soft Glam Filter Fluid, which has been likened to Charlotte Tilbury’s £39 Flawless Filter.
And available on the high street for the first time ever is SheGlam – a trend-led brand loved for its Pout-Perfect Lip Plumper and Colour Bloom Liquid Blush . Their products range from £2.99 to £8.50, proving shoppers no longer need to spend a small fortune on restocking their kit.
Speaking on the latest launches, Alice Rafferty, Director of Luxury Beauty and Cosmetics at Boots said: “Boots is proud to be bringing a growing lineup of socially native, trending beauty brands to the high street. Beauty lovers want to test, trial, and play before they buy, and now they can experience some of the most buzzworthy, viral brands in person at Boots stores nationwide. By staying closely tuned into emerging trends and listening to what our customers want to see on our shelves, we’re continuing to elevate our beauty offering, making the latest social media sensations more accessible than ever.”
Sacheu and TirTir are also available at Boots
The beauty boom doesn’t stop there, though, with Boots also expanding the ranges of other social media-famous brands like Tirtir , the K-beauty label behind the viral Red Cushion Foundation, and Sacheu , known for innovative multi-use products.
Sacheu is expanding its range to include more product lines for eye, cheek and lip, such as its Cheek STAY-N and Brow & Freckle STAY-N , which will launch in over 90 Boots stores. Meanwhile K-Beauty brand Tirtir, famed for its game-changing Red Cushion Foundation , will be available on the UK high street for the first time, launching in 30 Boots stores nationwide. Shoppers can test and trial its range of 23 foundation shades, alongside other new, viral-worthy products like the Glide and Hide Blurring Concealer and Waterism Glow Tint.
Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay has shared a cryptic post with his fans just days after meeting controversial adult star Bonnie Blue on the party island

Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay has reflected on his wild ride to fame, just days after his nervous meeting with controversial adult star Bonnie Blue.
The 26-year-old, whose ‘Battle of Hastings haircut’ has become the look of Summer 2025, appeared bewildered as he took to Instagram today to ask his fans, ‘What just happened?’
Jack, from Newcastle, has signed up to for management, released his own dance track, partied with celebrity DJs and flown on a private jet with his pals in the space of a few days. It’s hard to believe that, just a few weeks ago, Jack was just an ordinary Geordie lad preparing for a fun-filled holiday on the White Isle with his pals.
For anyone who has been living under a rock, Jack skyrocketed to fame earlier this month after images of him partying the night away in Ibiza went viral. He’s since taken every opportunity to enjoy what has been the ultimate summer of a lifetime. Now, Jack has taken to Instagram stories to share his thoughts on the trip that sparked his meteoric rise.

Sharing a random snap of a perfectly trimmed tree, a hilarious nod to his incredible bowl cut, Jack mused: “Two weeks ago, I went on a lads’ holiday and someone took a video of me on the Dance Floor. Was it a dream? What just happened?”

This comes just days after Jack met up with adult model Bonnie Blue on the party island, in what appeared to be a very awkward interaction.
A clip shows Jack with his arm around Bonnie while facing away from her. They can also be seen making awkward conversation while standing fairly far apart.
In a since-deleted video, Bonnie revealed: “It was my shortest video yet. I was shocked how nervous he was.”
Bonnie claimed to have been surprised by ‘how nervous’ Jack was to meet her(Image: Supplied)
Jack’s newfound fanbase had previously warned him off meeting with Bonnie after she left a seemingly suggestive comment on one of his Instagram posts. The post in question, which shows Jack bopping along in a car with his his mates, is captioned “The final boss can’t be slayed… your misses on the other hand? Her levels been completed.”
Former OnlyFans star Bonnie, who is known for using ragebait as a marketing strategy, commented a simple eyes emoji beneath the vid, sparking words of caution from Jack’s followers.
Divisive Bonnie has become notorious for taking part in extreme sex stunts, which have previously included sleeping with 1,057 men in the space of just 12 hours. In recent months, her troubling antics have become increasingly shocking, to the point where OnlyFans, the site where she made a name for herself, slapped her with a permanent ban.
Jack’s life has changed overnight(Image: Instagram/jack.kayy1)
Things escalated in June, when the 26-year-old announced her plans to hold a human “petting zoo challenge”. This stunt would have seen Bonnie locked in a glass cage, inviting strangers to come and do “whatever they wanted” to her.
In Channel 4’s show ‘1,000 Men And Me: The Bonnie Blue Story’ – which led to hundreds of Ofcom complaints – Bonnie bragged: “I am going to be completely helpless, tied down, gagged, choked”.
OnlyFans had concerns about this stunt, which it claims was in violation of its Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service, and so issued the permanent ban.

Desperate fans of the nostalgic punk rock band have been waiting for years to finally see them live after a short hiatus – but these ticket prices have left them feeling furious
Fans were left waiting in long queues as tickets were already on re-seller sites (Image: Los Angeles Times via Getty Images)
Emo music fans were sent into a frenzy this morning as they tried to buy “extortionate” tickets to see their favourite rock band from the 2000s.
Tickets went on sale today for My Chemical Romance, as they announced two UK tour dates to celebrate 20 years of their album The Black Parade. Following their sell-out run of US shows. And, after much teasing, the band are set to play the iconic Wembley Stadium in July 2026.
Made up of frontman Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Ray Toro and Frank Lero, the American group will be bringing their nostalgic tunes and punk rock energy back to the UK for the first time since their reunion tour in 2022. Although as fans fought tooth and nail for tickets, they were left in shock at just how much it would cost them.
The band first formed in 2001(Image: WireImage)
One person shared their disappointment, writing on X: “I am number 79,536 in the queue for MCR in London next year, and the prices that are quoted are criminal. f*** dynamic pricing.”
Another fan wrote: “Anybody else think they were gonna have enough for tickets only to be devastated by the prices?” While a third said: “I’ve never seen MCR live, and I would do anything so me and my brother could see them. Let some stroke of luck strike me down with cheaper tickets closer to the date.”

Adding to the frustration, someone shared: “Just took a look; finally getting through the queue for MCR long live the black parade tickets…. Yeah, I like MCR, but those prices are insane. GTFO!” Meanwhile, another ticket buyer commented: “I’m not okay after seeing those Wembley gig ticket prices.”
The band firmly cemented themselves within popular culture with their multi-platinum-selling album, The Black Parade, in 2006, and this tour is a celebration of its work, 20 years on. It carried strong themes of politics, fascism, death and the afterlife that resonated with fans of the genre, so much so that 20 years on, people are willing to cough up a lot of money to hear it live.
In 2022 they had a reunion tour (Image: Getty Images)
Ticketmaster claimed that shows have been priced in advance of the sale, ranging from £58.85 to £268.85 (including fees), along with a handling fee of £2.50 per order, NME reports. But it wasn’t long before the tickets were already finding themselves up on reselling sites.
A frustrated fan shared in line: “People already advertising/selling tickets for My Chemical Romance on Twitter, and I’m still in the f****** waiting room, I hate buying concert tickets man, there’s got to be a better way.” Meanwhile, another fan added: “Not people selling My Chemical Romance tickets already, and I’m still 20,000 people behind in the queue.”
It was reported by the news outlet Joe that front pitch standing tickets were priced at £141.90, with main pitch standing at £100.65 and seated tickets ranging from £58.85 to £141.90, dependent on their tiers. For fans hoping to get their money’s worth, rumours are already beginning to swirl that the band could be making a special appearance at next year’s Download Festival, in Donington, and so they could be in with the chance of seeing them reunite once again.
