Fans of Olivia Rodrigo had a special experience when she welcomed a surprise guest to her Hyde Park, London, concert at British Summer Time.

Olivia Rodrigo’s fans were left stunned by the songstress’ surprise guest at her BST gig in Hyde Park. The show came before her hugely anticipated Glastonbury Festival appearance, where she will close this year’s epic event.

And while her fans were left in awe with a brilliant performance of some of her biggest hits and catchy tunes, it was her special guest that got fans feeling gobsmacked. On a sunny day in London, the Drivers License singer welcomed Ed Sheeran to the stage.

The 22-year-old American brought ginger-haired Ed to the stage for a rendition of his early hit, The A Team, while wearing a black sequinned leotard for the show. From the side of the stage, he had been watching Olivia wow the audience.

But Olivia surprised attendees at the end of the show when she described him as “one of the greatest songwriters of all time” as he patiently waited. The Azizam singer has performed at other people’s shows before, far from the norm.

He has previously surprised fans at concerts of Limp Bizkit, Stormzy and Taylor Swift to name a few. And taking to Instagram following his latest surprise, he said: “Been a fan of Olivia’s since Drivers License blew my mind back at the start of 2021. Both albums are no skips for me. I’m a proper fan.”

He continued, “Was going to watch the show anyway, but she approached me and requested that she sing The A Team with her,” which generated such a buzz.

To be playing it to new fans with one of the brightest stars of the next generation is an honor and privilege since that song turns 15 this year, and I can recall playing it to rooms with no one in it in 2010…

Some people were concerned that this year’s festival would be characterized as the year of the wrinkly rockers at one point because Neil Young and Rod Stewart were already well-known.

The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo are both well-known and have appealed to younger audiences, so the hope is that Glastonbury will appeal to both young people and those who might want to see Neil or Rod.

Although Lewis Capaldi’s surprise return to the stage was the show’s mainstay on Friday, The 1975 won the show.

Sean Maguire, who is best known for his role on the BBC soap EastEnders, claims he was forced to pull over because he was crying so much.

An EastEnders actor and pop star has shared his heartbreak after losing his beloved brother.

Sean Maguire who first rose to fame in Grange Hill and went on to star as Aidan Brosnan in EastEnders in 1993 before launching a successful pop career, revealed he was going through a ‘tough time’ recently.

The 49-year-old, who now lives in LA, shared his profound sorrow over the loss of his dear brother as he responded to a recent Instagram post from Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi. He shared how he had broken into tears when hearing one of Lewis’ songs.

Sean said, “Lewis has been a fan for a while. I dislike discussing this s****. But right now I’m having a difficult time. I lost my brother six months ago. Keeping things together. However, I dropped my kids off this morning and played “a loved one” differently. then wept in disbelief.

I was unaware that I needed it. I might have done it. had to pull the car over so I could continue to cry and sing. I appreciate your therapy. Thank you so much. You assisted me in recovering. X”.

Sean’s brother, who passed away on January 11, shared the depressing news on his own social media account on January 15. I’ve had a hard time coming up with the words or even choosing the images for this, he said in a video. Because it implies that it is true, but our dear brother, Darren Maguire, passed away on January 11th, for those who are unaware.

“He passed away peacefully by his family. He was a truly remarkable man, friend, brother, and father. Everyone who knew him adored him so much. I’m still shocked to the core.

“I can barely form a sentence, but I know the world has lost one of its most beloved people and I have lost my best friend. We love you Darren and we’ll never stop loving you. Now go make them laugh and dance heaven.”

Sean played troubled teen Aidan Brosnan on Albert Square during his year there. Sean’s character, who was 17 when Sean first started writing for the soap, was involved in difficult storylines about drug and homelessness, which led to a near-suicide attempt in 1993. He blamed his girlfriend Mandy for ruining his life, but she prevented him from killing himself. He fled to Ireland.

Sean rose to fame after leaving EastEnders, recording eight top-three singles, including Good Day, which reached the top 12 in the UK. Sean is a proud father of three with his former wife Tanya Flynn, despite having a successful career both on and off the screen.

The 1975 took to the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm as the first headline act at Glastonbury 2025 earlier tonight, with Matty Healy and his bandmates back at the festival

The crowd for the 1975’s headline set at Glastonbury has been described as “surprisingly sparse” by one festivalgoer this evening. The rock band, which is fronted by singer Matty Healy, were on the main stage at the music festival.

The 1975, consisting of Matty, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald and George Daniel, took to the Pyramid Stage for their set. The band are the first headline act of the weekend, with Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo headlining at Worthy Farm in Somerset on Saturday and Sunday night respectively.

A source at the festival told the Mirror that the crowd was “surprisingly sparse” for the 1975’s headline set though. They said that the audiences were bigger for Lewis Capaldi and CMAT, who performed on the stage earlier in the day. Some people were heard saying the band wasn’t their vibe before moving away from the stage.

Matty, 36, and his bandmates opened their set tonight with their song Happiness. The the Brit Award winning band’s setlist for Glastonbury later included singles like Chocolate, as well as other tracks such as Love Me and Paris.

The staging for the set included occasional strobe lighting and various graphics on screen behind the band. A car was also visible on stage at one point, with lead singer Matty opening the song Somebody Else whilst sat inside it.

Viewers on BBC iPlayer had faced issues at times when the 1975 performed at Worthy Farm tonight. Despite the suggestion that the crowd was “sparse,” many fans were seen in the audience and cheers were heard during the set.

Fans shared their thoughts on the band during their set. One person wrote on X: “The 1975 are brilliant. I’m a fan.” Sharing their support, another viewer commented: “Matty Healy and the 1975, definitely do it for me, never disappoints.”

One fan wrote: “The 1975 at #Glastonbury has to go down as one of the greatest sets of all time. No debate.” Another said: “The 1975 set list tonight has been INSANE, if you are at #Glastonbury tonight i hope you’re appreciating this.”

Someone wrote: “The 1975 your smashing it as always. Great band live. Wish I was at Glastonbury.” Whilst another fan reacted after the performance: “The 1975 were incredible, amazing set, loved it alot!”

Not everyone was impressed with the set though. One person instead reacted: “The 1975 must be one of the most boring bands to headline Glasto in a long time.” Someone else said: “Seriously what’s all this hype about the 1975?”

Sharing their thoughts on the platform, another viewer commented during the headline set: “Absolute garbage from the 1975.” Whilst one person said: “I just don’t get The 1975.”

Another wrote: “That lead fella from the 1975 is insufferable isn’t he? Some bangers mind.” One person wrote: “I haven’t tweeted in over a year. However, I had to get this off my chest. The 1975 are shite and Matty Healy is insufferable. He’s trying his hardest to look like he’s a genuine rock star. They were never Glastonbury headliners and they’ve just proved us all right.”

Prior to the 1975’s performance this evening, a source told the Mirror that the band “pulled out all the stops” for their set. The source said: “Everyone was so blown away that Matty, Ross, George and Adam were headlining, but it’s no surprise given how loved they are universally.”

The source added: “They’ve played Glastonbury before, but this is the boys at their very best and then some. They’re one of the biggest bands in the world, and their tours sell out almost instantly, but to see them on the Pyramid Stage in the headline slot, nobody could have expected this.”

It was teased that fans could “expect a few surprises” during their set at Glastonbury this year. The source had told us: “Everyone behind the scenes has worked so hard to pull out all the stops – fans should expect a few surprises.”

However, it has since been reported that David underwent secret surgery to repair a broken wrist that he sustained 22 years ago – during a friendly football match against South Africa in 2003.

David recently revealed his long-running career left him with multiple injuries and years of “wear and tear”. He said: “Certain parts of my body were a real mess.”

As Brooklyn chose to stay silent on his family in recent weeks, he has been keen to show the love for wife Nicola. In a recent post on social media, Brooklyn teased in the caption that she’s his world.

He added the word “my” to an emoji that depicts the globe. He also emailed a heart emoji to the photo, saying, “My absolute angel.” He later went back to his page to message Sandra, David’s mother, about his disappearance.

He marked his grandmother’s birthday with a post with a picture of him standing next to her for the first time in a few weeks. Nanny xx loves you so much, wrote Brooklyn.

Despite snubbing his own dad and mum’s birthdays this year on social media, Brooklyn made sure to wish Nicola’s father, Nelson, a happy birthday in a sweet post shared on his Stories this week. “Happy birthday, Nelson, we love you,” he wrote.

Jade Thirlwall and Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule, both known as the duo Rizzle Kicks, performed on the Other Stage at Glastonbury today, along with the other audience.

Fans of duo Rizzle Kicks shared their disappointment with the BBC earlier over their set at Glastonbury Festival. The reaction came after bandmate Jordan Stephens had himself issued a message about filming at the festival.

Jordan and his bandmate Harley Alexander-Sule, both 33, performed together as Rizzle Kicks on the Other Stage at Worthy Farm in Somerset this afternoon. It marked the duo’s return to the festival after making their Glastonbury debut on the BBC Introducing Stage back in 2013.

Prior to their latest set, Jordan announced yesterday that the BBC, the “exclusive broadcast partner” of Glastonbury, would not be filming it. He shared the news in a statement issued to fans on Instagram ahead of their return today.

“Our Glastonbury set is not being filming,” Jordan wrote. You won’t be able to watch it back if you aren’t present. It might only be once every lifetime. “Who knows” The set is [fire emoji], he said, and we’re excited about it.

His partner Jade Thirlwall, 32, later expressed disappointment over the situation. The Little Mix member, who is set to play the Woodsies Stage tomorrow, referenced the news on her Instagram Story whilst sharing her excitement over getting to see him perform at Glastonbury.

She also wrote, “What du mean I’m about to watch my boyfriend at Glasgow when we were having a dream about it this time last year? ” Get into the Rizzle Kicks set and move to the next stage, lol. It isn’t televised (booo).

Jade isn’t alone in her disappointment, with a number of fans having expressed frustration over Rizzle Kicks’ set not being available on BBC iPlayer. Several other acts who performed on the Other Stage today, like Franz Ferdinand and Gracie Abrams, were livestreamed. The livestream for that stage however began at 2.15pm, which was after Rizzle Kicks’ set.

One fan wrote on X: “Rizzle Kicks not being broadcast at Glastonbury is a travesty, especially in comparison to some of the s**t that they are putting on.” Another wrote, “@BBCiPlayer, why haven’t I found Rizzle Kicks. I’m deeply disappointed.

Thanks to Rizzle Kicks for a great job, a third person later tweeted, “Thanks guys, missed Rizzle Kicks! Another said, “No Rizzle Kicks on iPlayer, sort it out lads,” shortly after the duo’s set began.

Approached for comment, a spokesperson for the BBC told the Mirror tonight that the broadcaster will be providing more than 90 hours of performances. They said: “The BBC, Glastonbury’s exclusive broadcast partner, brings audiences a two-month celebration of the festival this June and July.

Over 90 hours of live performances from the five main stages, as well as The Glastonbury Channel and over 90 sets to watch on demand throughout July are provided by our BBC iPlayer coverage. Additionally, there is extensive coverage on BBC Sounds, radio, and TV, with over 30 performances and DJ sets that will be streamable on BBC Sounds throughout July.

As Princess Andre prepares to celebrate her milestone 18th birthday, Katie Price was forced to delete a loving message from her blog.

Katie Price quickly deleted a gushing post to daughter Princess as she gets ready to celebrate her 18th birthday. The mum-of-five took to social media to share a loving upload – but quickly removed it.

The 47-year-old former glamour model shares the teen with ex-husband Peter Andre. And taking to her Instagram Stories to mark the latest milestone, she said: “Happy 18th birthday to the most amazing daughter and my best friend @princess_andre I love you so much.”

However, Princess’ birthday is not until Sunday, so she was a few days too early to say what she meant. Katie quickly deleted her upload.

She continued, “2 days until Princess turns 18 can’t believe it xx,” by replacing it with a new post.

Princess Andre showed off the lavish top-of-the-range Audi she bought for herself a few days before turning 18 with some help from her father. She also stated that she has a number of celebrations planned.

But she admitted she won’t be going crazy to mark the milestone. “To be honest, I’m not fussed on doing a big thing,” she told us in her exclusive photo shoot for the occasion.

As long as it’s memorable and the people I love, my family and friends, are with me, I’ll be very happy with a quiet dinner and possibly a trip there afterwards. My dad and Emily’s hands are in charge of it. It will surprise you, I suppose.

She continued, “Maybe we’ll have a nice dinner together,” while describing how she will celebrate with her mother. I’m certain that my mother will make plans for me.

However, it seems as though going to the club is not on the cards. Although I don’t usually enjoy drinking or going out with my friends, it’ll be nice to be able to go to bars and other places. “But at the same time, I’m not the type of person who would make fun of myself.” I’ll never place myself in a bad light.

Earlier this month Princess modelled beachwear at Ibiza Fashion Festival 2025, which was hosted by TV presenter Jenny Powell. She was among those who helped open the festival at Bibo Park in Ibiza on June 12. The event is described as an independent sustainable fashion show on the island off the coast of Spain.

Princess represented the beachwear brand Greta, which has a flagship store in the Dominican Republic, at the event. It comes after she made her modelling debut for PrettyLittleThing last year. She had also collaborated with the fashion retailer previously.

Rumours had suggested Princess could have sorted a deal with the brand, with speculation saying it could be worth a four-figure fee.
