Seven-time Grammy-winning producer Joel Moss has died at the age of 79.

Throughout his distinguished career, the Hollywood legend worked on blockbusters like Omen IV: The Awakening and with music legends like Eagles, Little Richard, Johnny Cash, Joe Cocker, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Talking Heads. For producing the cast recording of the musical In the Heights, which premiered on Broadway in 2008, about life in the streets of Manhattan’s Washington Heights neighborhood, he received a Best Musical Show Album award.

Moss passed away on Monday in Saratoga Springs, New York, his family reported today. Moss was described by the relatives as “the biggest mensch in the recording industry who created the best sounds in town,” who refused to name a cause of death.

His career began in Los Angeles when he began working on recordings for recording artists like Little Richard, Joe Cocker, and Johnny Cash at the age of 23. The Record Plant Recording Studios, a recording business that ran the Paramount Pictures scoring stage, was then led by Moss as its executive director and chief engineer.

For Hollywood movies like Fatal Attraction, Omen IV: The Awakening, and South Pacific, Moss was able to provide scores for these projects. For Talking Heads’ iconic documentary, Stop Making Sense, Moss was the first to convert analogue recordings to 24-track digital in the 1980s.

In the 1990s, the actor founded Managra Music Company, a company specializing in jazz and theater compositions, and became associated with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.

Paying tribute to Moss today, production company Caffe Lena said on Facebook: “It never failed to amaze us that a man who produced records for Johnny Cash, Tony Bennett, The Talking Heads, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and hundreds of others, believed so much in the community of Saratoga Springs and the value of Caffe Lena, that he spent his evenings running our livestream cameras and recording our shows.

He felt a strong commitment to recording every performance at Caffe Lena because he thought the stage on Caffe Lena is a treasure and what takes place there is significant. When you’ll find lightning in a bottle, you never know. He told everyone when he noticed that special spark in an artist, whether it was their first performance or an underappreciated treasure that had spent decades on the road. We are forever richer because of our time with him, and Joseph’s presence and faith have made him famous in the eyes of many.

Jimmy Kimmel’s future in doubt as huge ABC contract set to expire

Jimmy Kimmel Live ! is currently suspended, and the show’s future is uncertain because the host’s ABC contract is scheduled to expire in a few months.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been “suspended indefinitely”, however, fans are worried this is in effect a cancellation as the host’s multi-million dollar contract is set to expire in just a few months.

Jimmy Kimmel’s long-running late-night program was suspended by ABC after the host made contentious remarks about Charlie Kirk’s passing. No permanent decision has been made regarding the suspension’s future, aside from a request that Kimmel apologize to Kirk’s family if he wishes to return to the air. The suspension is currently scheduled to continue “indefinitely.”

However, some media reports claim Kimmel’s $48 million contract with ABC will expire in 2026. The show will end if it is not renewed. According to reports, the network wants to keep him as host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, but it’s possible they won’t renew his contract or will cancel Jimmy Kimmel Live! altogether.

Kimmel has not yet responded to his comments or the show’s suspension, which aired on Monday (15 September). The television host explained to viewers that the “MAGA gang” were using Kirk’s death to “score political points” during his opening monologue on Monday’s show.

Ben Stiller, Jean Smart, and Wanda Sykes were among the many Hollywood stars who criticized Kimmel’s show, which received backlash and was suspended. Kimmel was attempting to “mislead the American people,” according to Brendan Carr, the Trump-appointed Federal Communications Commission head, and demanded that the program be pulled.

Kirk was passionate about protecting the suspension despite the fact that Stiller, Smart, Sykes, and others have all criticized it as an attack on free speech. He claimed that the Trump administration was in danger of doing so because of left-wing critics.

Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter last year, Kirk said: “Hate speech does not exist legally in America. There’s ugly speech. There’s gross speech. There’s evil speech. And ALL of it is protected by the First Amendment.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi has since stated that those who post “hate speech” will be “shut down,” and that the Trump administration will actively pursue those who violate its terms. On a podcast, Bondi stated, “There’s free speech, and then there’s hate speech.” If you use hate speech, we will absolutely target you and pursue you.

Jimmy Kimmel Live’s suspension staff were reportedly minutes away from airing the show when it was shut down because it occurred so suddenly. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was canceled by another network, CBS, just months prior to this abrupt stop in filming. According to some, the show was canceled as a result of President Trump’s remarks and a subsequent lawsuit. Trump has also filed legal suits against the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, both of which have criticized his administration.

The President also stated on Truth Social that NBC should axe Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers’ shows, raising questions for the future of many late-night television programs. He thanked ABC for “finally having the courage to do what needed to be done” and continued, “That leaves Jimmy and Seth on Fake News NBC, two total losers.” They also have terrible reviews. NBC, please! “!

The lone Democrat on the FCC, Anna Gomez, told CNN on Wednesday (17 September) that Kimmel’s show’s suspension was unrelated to hate speech or inciting violence. This administration is increasingly repressing lawful expression because it challenges those in power and represents views that they oppose, not because it glorifies or violates the law.

David Letterman reveals Jimmy Kimmel’s reaction after show axed over Charlie Kirk row

Jimmy Kimmel Live was suspended by ABC, according to veteran host David Letterman. after the host was cut off from the show for remarks about Charlie Kirk’s assassination, as ‘ridiculous’ and a sign of authoritarianism.

David Letterman has spoken out strongly against ABC’s decision to suspend Jimmy Kimmel Live! indefinitely after the late-night host made controversial remarks about the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

The 78-year-old veteran host claimed the move had a negative impact on free expression when he made an appearance at the Atlantic Festival in New York. He responded, “It’s ridiculous.” That’s not how it works, because you can’t go around firing someone because you’re afraid of or trying to suck up on an authoritarian criminal regime in the Oval Office.

Letterman compared the suspension to life in “a dictatorship” and characterized it as a “misery.” After the announcement, the veteran host confirmed that Kimmel had spoken to him directly. He is eating food while he is lying in bed. He retorted, “He’s going to be fine,” but he acknowledged that he had no idea what to say or think about the situation.

After Kimmel said in his Monday night monologue, “The MAGA Gang]is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything in their power to get political points out of it,” the controversy erupted.

He also mocked Donald Trump’s response to the tragedy, adding: “This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he calls a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish.”

Trump welcomed the decision to pull the program “indefinitely,” which ABC made on Wednesday night when it announced that the program would be canceled. Congratulations to ABC for overcoming the necessary obstacles.

Hollywood and political commentators immediately reacted to the suspension. While singer John Legend re-shared a post from author David Frum criticizing political interference in the media, Ben Stiller said, “This isn’t right.”

The action, according to MSNBC host Chris Hayes, is “the most straightforward attack on free speech from state actors I’ve ever seen, and it’s not even close.”

Kimmel was defended by others, including Alison Brie, Henry Winkler, and Keith Olbermann.

Letterman reflected on his own three decades in late-night, during which he targeted six presidents from Jimmy Carter to Barack Obama.

Not once, he noted, did anyone from any government agency, let alone the dreaded FCC, blame them for beating up on these people, rightly or wrongly, accurately or perhaps incorrectly, in the name of comedy.

Letterman has previously accused networks of being “cowardly,” most recently with the Stephen Colbert-canceled The Late Show.

On Thursday, he suggested Kimmel’s suspension is part of a troubling shift: “It’s a world of someone who’s an authoritarian, maybe a dictatorship.”

Utah Valley University shot and killed Charlie Kirk, 31, last week. Tyler Robinson, 22, is the accused gunman and is facing aggravated murder charges.

Katie Price slams Junior’s ‘fancy dress’ at NTAs and demands he ‘sack the stylist’

After the young siblings walked the red carpet at the National Television Awards, Katie Price did not have many positive things to say about son Junior and daughter Princess’ outfits.

Katie Price has slammed her son Junior Andre’s red carpet look for the National Television Awards and demanded her children “sack the stylist” after not being impressed with Princess’ dress either.

The former glamour model had a lot to say about her children’s NTA outfits in the most recent episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, but none of it was complimentary. She apologized to the listeners and told them to fire their stylist.

However, I did say to them, “You’ve got to sack the stylist.” Junior made me feel sorry. What was he f***ing wearing, I asked Princess? It appeared to be “fancy dress.”

She continued, noting that she thought Princess’s appearance was “too old” for the 18-year-old. Katie also compared Maura Higgins, a former Love Islander, to her daughter. “Princess, I didn’t like your dress either,” I said. You couldn’t handle it because it was too old. Look at Maura Higgins, she was amazing!

“I told you, “I don’t know who is involving these stylists,” I said. They might style you for a photo shoot, but not a red carpet, she continued. The outfits “just went so wrong,” he said.

For the first time since their famous parents, Princess and Junior have walked the red carpet. They also saw appearances from Junior and Katie in the subsequent Princess’ solo reality show, The Princess Diaries, which featured her father, Peter Andre, but didn’t really include Katie.

Junior and Princess explained to the press that they had informed their parents to abstain from visiting the NTAs while on the red carpet. Although they are very family-oriented, they said it was their turn.

However, some have questioned whether Katie’s absence from Princess’ reality show and the NTAs is related to something else. In the past, Katie and Princess have engaged in well-known feuds, most recently when Katie canceled her daughter’s 18th birthday celebration. Katie asserted on her podcast that “everyone is aware that she is producing this documentary, and I’m not a part of it.”

Some people don’t believe that having Princess with me is a good idea. People used to care for me, but Princess said, “I’m having a party. And I wasn’t invited because the event was “filming.”

Peter Andre then sued her for missing her invitation. Because I’m his ex, Pete doesn’t want to be in the same room with me. Because I disagree, she said, we need to have some home truths about this when the kids get older and get married. Will he still have the mindset that only one parent can be there?

Later, Princess refuted the feud and claimed that her mother wouldn’t show up if Peter was present. Katie also made a statement later in the podcast that she was correct in saying that she doesn’t post about it because she actually sees Princess all the time. I see her constantly, much like with Princess. I don’t have to take as many pictures as I would.

EastEnders icon Danniella Westbrook announces new career move as she’s ‘dying to do it’

Danniella Westbrook, a legend of EastEnders, is launching a new career as a celebrity agent. With a number of well-known faces already signed up, the soap star plans to start her own talent management company, W1, in early 2026.

Her dazzling roster boasts boxers, reality TV personalities and actors. Danniella, 51, revealed: “People are always asking me for advice about the industry, so this is a natural progression for me. I’ve been dying to do it for years. I’ve got a real passion for it. I’m 51 now and this is something that will take me into my older years.”

Danniella is going all out to support her clients, making sure to have enough support. She is aware of the difficulties the industry presents because she began her career at age 15 and went through numerous ups and downs.

She stated to the Daily Star, “I don’t believe the people in this industry have access to enough assistance.” I’ve examined everything that was missing when I first started. The clients will have access to an accountant. Additionally, we have a dedicated therapist on call.

In addition, Danniella recently hinted at a return to reality television, setting her sights on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! All Stars.

In a recent interview, she confessed her desire to participate in the next series of ITV All Stars. The actress shared: “I would love to go back in now that I’m in a different place and mindset. I was a bit of a diva, a bit of a princess, very spoilt when I went in there before.

“But I think it would be very different now that I’ve gone through everything.” I’ve lived in my car all my life; why can’t I do it once more?

It comes after Danniella shared the single condition that might lure her back to the EastEnders – and it’s quite a demand. Danniella, who initially arrived on Albert Square in 1990 as Sam Mitchell, has confessed she would only consider returning to Walford if her legendary character was given control of the Queen Vic.

Danniella said, “I’d only go back if they gave Sam Mitchell the Queen Vic,” in reference to a potential return. I would return if Sam had been made the next Peggy and put her behind the bar. I’m not interested, though, if they didn’t. The show needs some excellent matriarchs once more, but they don’t currently have many, don’t they?

“I am aware that Sharon’s portrayal as Tish [Letitia Dean] and Denise are on the cards. But yes, she continued, “I’d think it if Sam Mitchell were going to start over at The Queen Vic.”

The performer, who has portrayed Sam intermittently for over thirty years, reckons seizing control of the renowned boozer could restore some desperately needed edge to the BBC drama. “If Sam were running the Vic, she’d be a lot like Peggy, I think. But I think she’d have poker nights and all sorts going on,” she said.

The London-born actress last appeared on EastEnders in 2016 after appearing on the show numerous times between 2009 and 2010. When Danniella’s personal struggles impacted her work, producers cut short her previous performances.

She previously claimed that the show’s executives had witnessed her struggle with addiction and that it was a “blessing” despite the recasting of her character.

Kimberley Walsh reveals Girls Aloud are ‘closer than ever’ after special reunion

Since Girls Aloud formed in 2002, Kimberley Walsh has revealed that since then, they have had more time to reflect on their wild ride to fame.

Kimberley Walsh and her bandmates from Girls Aloud are “closer” than ever. Kimberley has opened up about the band’s “crazy” past and how their friendships have changed following their sell-out tour last year.

The band, formed on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, went on to become one of the biggest-selling girl bands of all time, selling more than 8.3 million records in the United Kingdom alone. But with each high came the lows, with rumours of feuds amongst the band, they still continued to dominate the charts before they officially disbanded in 2013 after their Ten: The Greatest Hits Tour in the same year, celebrating their decade in music.

Kimberley, who was born in Bradford, has now shared details about their most recent tour, which celebrated 20 years of dominating the charts and played shows throughout the nation until it was completely sold-out. The singer-turned-actress, who has appeared on TV and on the West End, claimed she “loved” touring and being with mother-to-be Cheryl Tweedy and Nadine Coyle, making them “closer together” than ever.

“We were just kids. We grew up together and experienced something crazy together. Now we are mums. We all have our own kids, and they are all our priorities. We mainly chat about the kids. Nadine and I both have kids who are starting secondary school in similar areas,” she told The Sun.

Kimberley continued, “Times have changed, but we are still supporting one another and leaning on one another.” I consider myself fortunate to live in such special relationships.

Back in July, Kimberley told The Mirror about the tour in more detail, particularly about taking her children. The singer spoke about her children, Bobby, nine, Cole, seven, and Nate, two, being on the tour bus during last year’s tour.

Everyone just looked after Nate because he was the baby, and there are only a few months between Cole and Bear [Cheryl’s son with the late Liam Payne]. We as mothers are in a very different stage of our lives, so we were able to enjoy it both through their eyes as well.

Kimberley Walsh and two of her sons

She went into more detail about why she took the kids with her on the tour. I don’t want to spend too much time with the kids. And I must admit that this tour was probably one of my most intense experiences in recent memory. They were, however, able to play a role. That gave them a great deal of excitement. They had a great time traveling with us, and they were able to take them on the bus.

The tour was embarked on in honour of their late bandmate Sarah Harding. Sarah died in 2021, aged 39, after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Before she died, the singer told her bandmates that she wanted them to carry on and honour her and the band’s legacy.

Girls Aloud made an effort to preserve Sarah’s memory throughout the tour. Kimberley remarked, “That was the biggest challenge. How do we give Sarah her moment and keep her flowing throughout the show, and that was the topic of all of us during those creative meetings?

We wanted to feel as though she was still with us because that was so crucial to us. We tried to give her back whenever we could, and we did so to allow everyone to reminisce and celebrate her. Sarah’s lead vocals were heard during I’ll Stand By You during the performance. I adored that aspect of the show, no matter how difficult it was.
