BGT finalist says his sex is ‘fast, energetic, maybe a bit passionate’ as he denies rape

Andrew Johnston, a former Britain’s Got Talent finalist, has denied rape and sexual assault charges, describing his sex as “fast, energetic, maybe a little passionate.”

Andrew Johnston has denied two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

A former Britain’s Got Talent finalist has described his sex as “fast, energetic, maybe a pit passionate” while in court as he is accused of raping two women. Andrew Johnston, 30, cried at London’s Southwark Crown Court as he denied two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

He claimed to never be aggressive, never engage in sexual activity, and that the sex was consensual. Johnston, who won third place in the ITV talent show in 2008 with his rap and sexual assault assault, is accused of raping and sexually assaulting both women.

He claimed to have been messaging and dating frequently at the time of the alleged crimes. Johnston, who signed a record deal with Simon Cowell, admitted to having depression.

He added that his mental health is “terrible” and he has broken up with a girlfriend. While in court on Wednesday, he said: “I was in a bad place. I was just in a really bad place.”

When asked how his life had changed, he said, “I had lost everything over this time, both my girlfriend and my career.” I quickly entered a terrible state. Since then, I have never sung a note. I am unable to control myself.

He shook his head before dropping his head, saying, “I just can’t bring myself to.”

During sex, Johnston’s alleged victims allege that he continued to have the relationship. One of them claims that when she saw him at a club, he kissed and groped her.

The charges are “on my mind every single day,” Johnston, who is now a full-time roofer, told the court. Rupert Kent, the defense attorney, posed the question, “Are you guilty of these three charges?” Johnston responded, “I’m not at all.”

Mr. Kent inquired about the first rape allegation when he could determine whether he could reasonably assume that she wouldn’t consent. In response, Johnson said, “It was always consenting.” Johnston responded, “no, never,” when asked if he had touched her.

Johnston stated earlier, “I have waited to have my say on this. Although it’s difficult for me to provide evidence, I have waited.

He went on to say that the situation was “awful,” adding, “It is not me.” I was raised differently than I was. It doesn’t sound like me at all, and it’s not something I would do.

Johnston placed third on his British Got Talent contest and signed a record deal with Simon. His mother had given him access to the talent show where he performed his rendition of Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton and Pie Jesu.

He released a record that reached the top four of the charts. Johnston’s early fame came to an end as his voice changed as he adapted his signature.

He claimed before the court that “it continued for a few years until my voice started to change.” The songs I was singing in the show eventually became a little challenging to sing.

The eldest of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children, Blue Ivy Carter, has come a long way since making her stage debut and is now touring with her world-famous mother.

On April 28th, Beyoncé, 42, opened the Los Angeles SoFi Stadium for her Cowboy Carter Tour. The tour debut featured both chart-topping singles like Levii’s Jeans and American Requiem, as well as more recent singles like Formation and Crazy in Love.

The iconic cowboy hats, chaps, diamond denim, and a glitzy bodysuit with fringing to match the cowboy theme made up the superstar’s entire outfit. However, her daughter’s performance in America Has a Problem stole the show in a truly unforgettable way.

As her mother belted out the hit behind her, Blue Ivy, who is almost as tall as her mother, soared to the stage in a far cry from her first stage debut. We’ve watched Blue Ivy’s rise to global fame as she continues to follow in her mother’s footsteps as a superstar as she joins her mother on tour.

Although Blue Ivy was regarded as one of the world’s most well-known children when she was younger, she has since established her own brand in the field.

Blue Ivy quickly jumped on the dance scene, appearing in her mother’s Spirit and Formation music videos. She sang Be Alive from the movie King Richard at the Academy Awards in 2022 as Beyoncé.

This resulted in widespread success for her performance on Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, which included her first notable performance in Paris since 2012 when she danced to My Power and My Parade. Throughout the tour, she continued to perform alongside her famous mother.

Her mum shared a rare post on Instagram in tribute to her daughter’s performance, writing: “My beautiful first born. I’m so proud and thankful to be your mama. You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel.”

Her grandmother Tina Knowles sweetly stated to People in July 2023, “She’s having the time of her life, and I couldn’t be more proud of her because she really worked hard.” She is 11 years old, and her preparations have only been going for a week, and she is only getting better. So I’m always the proud grandma.

Her acting abilities have increased, and her stage presence has frequently gone viral. One fan wrote on TikTok about her improved footwork, saying, “Watching her confidence grow throughout the tour has made me so proud! ” She has greatly improved.

Another noted Blue Ivy’s stardom and humouredly remarked: “It’s so beautiful that Blue allowed Beyoncé to dance at her concert.” She also danced during Beyoncé’s NFL 2024 Christmas Day Halftime Show in Texas, which sent fans into a frenzy with her impressive moves.

Blue Ivy also holds two Guinness World Records, which further enhances her success. One of her recordings, which her father, Jay-Z, did when she was just two days old, made her vocals available on his song Glory. As her father released the song in her honor, she became the youngest person to do so to reach the top of the Billboard chart.

The second is for her vocals on Brown Skin Girl, which she co-wrote and premiered with Beyoncé. She won the Grammys for best music video, making her the youngest recipient to be named after her mother.

She also made her movie debut in 2024 in Mufasa: The Lion King as Princess Kiara’s voice, and her mother played Queen Nala.

Blue Ivy, a budding fashion enthusiast, modeled for her mother’s Adidas x IVY PARK collection in 2021 and teamed up with Beyoncé in a similar-dressed-up ad for the label.

The gifted teen has won two BET Awards. She first won the YoungStars Award in 2024 and the YoungStars Award in 2020 for her contribution to the song Brown Skin Girl.

Tina Knowles, who is proud of her granddaughter, extended an elaborate Instagram post that provided more information about Blue Ivy’s life. “Congratulations, Blue Blue!” was the message. I admire your talent, beauty, and intelligence, but I’m especially proud of your kindness and sincerity.

Sir David Attenborough has opened up about his thoughts on life and death during his latest compelling documentary focusing on the world’s oceans. As he approaches his 99th birthday on May 9, the broadcaster expressed that he is “nearing the end of his life.”

The wildlife expert has graced television for over 70 years and referred to his own mortality while discussing his upcoming series for Disney+, set to premiere later in the year. In his new feature, Ocean with David Attenborough, he made an admission.

“When I first saw the sea as a young boy, it was perceived as a vast wilderness that could be tamed and mastered for the benefit of humanity. We now know the opposite is true as I approach my life’s conclusion. I now understand that the most significant location on Earth is at sea, not on land, after nearly a hundred years of living here. “, he said.

He also expressed his deep concern about the ocean’s declining health, saying, “It’s in such poor health that I would find it difficult not to lose hope if it weren’t for the most remarkable discovery of all.”

However, Sir David held onto optimism stating that marine environments can recover robustly. He maintained: “If we save the sea, we save our world. After a lifetime of filming our planet, I’m sure nothing is more important.’

Attenborough’s reflections are paired with historical footage, including scenes from 1957 when he first scuba dived in the Great Barrier Reef, reports the Express. Although he warns that time is running out, Sir David Attenborough remains hopeful that by safeguarding marine reserves where fishing is prohibited, the ocean’s ecosystem can recover.

Sir David has long made his documentaries an environmental priority and influenced the creation of initiatives aimed at preserving endangered species.

The 98-year-old broadcaster made the observation that “without broadcasting of natural history, the world would be in a far worse situation now.” It has become a key component in looking after the world because people find it fascinating, beautiful, and fascinating.

David acknowledged in a recent interview with the Telegraph that he was “coming to terms with the fact that finding the right words takes longer means you can encounter problems,” as demonstrated by his inability to recall the name of the plant in front of him.

‘My bleach blonde days are over– Cat Deeley’s blonde trick made me look so much younger’

Take this as your opportunity to copy me and become more “lived in bronze,” says Mirror’s Michelle Darlow. What exactly should you ask your colorist for, exactly?

Cat Deeley was Michelle’s hair inspiration (Image: ITV)

My bleach blonde has always been my signature, my comfort zone, and a habit I’ve never really put a halt to. Every month, I’d want to be back in the salon chair for a full head of highlights in the hope of regaining that youthful, vibrant blonde that I once believed would look polished. But in reality? I spent the majority of the year detesting my grown-out color because the maintenance was so expensive.

My hair would grow a thick line of regrowth that would leave it looking greasy and dull even when it was clean the moment my roots started to show (usually within a few weeks). It always crept back when I tried to cover it with dry shampoo or clever partings. Additionally, it was draining my bank account at upwards of £150 per visit for maintenance appointments.

Between juggling my two jobs and my two kids, it was impossible for me to follow the six-to-eight-week cycle. I feared going to the salon because I knew I would leave loving the color, but the dark roots started to show up the following week or so.

That’s when I caught a glimpse of Cat Deeley on This Morning one weekday – and suddenly, the clouds parted. Her hair is this effortless, sun-kissed bronde – glossy, dimensional and grown-up – and the best part? Her roots were visible, but they looked intentional. Natural. Chic. I knew instantly that was the hair colour inspo I’d been waiting for. This exact colour also has a name: ‘lived in bronde’.

even better ? It’s the most popular color trend for 2025.

READ MORE: The ‘Teddy’ bronde is the hottest hair color trend for 2025 that will transform blondes who have lost their shine.

How do I request a “lived in Boston”?

The key is to come in with a crystal clear idea of the type of “live-in” bronde you want if you’re considering switching. I went to *GA Salons in South Kensington, took a screenshot of Cat Deeley from the show, and said I wanted something soft, easy-to-maintain, and natural-looking. She suggested using lowlights and carefully placed highlights to blend my darker roots into a warmer bronde.

I also added warmer caramel and honey tones to my complexion, which were too much of a tanner for my skin. The overall effect is more complex because it perfectly captures the light and matures beautifully without any discernible regrowth. This means there is now a three or four month difference between appointments. My colorist also suggested applying glossing treatments between tones so that the color would stay vibrant without having to apply full dye.

This tone is also known as a “honeyed and buttery blonde” and has “subtle gold highlights, reminiscent of ’90s blonde tones made famous by Jennifer Aniston,” according to Gennaro Dell’Aquila, art director and founder of GA Salons.

What’s the other nice thing about this shade that’s 90s-inspired? My hair feels much healthier. My ends were prone to snapping and had been brittle for years due to bleaching, but since dialing back and adopting a more natural color, my hair has become noticeably healthier and shinier. It also has better styling, and a quick air-dry makes it look more polished than it did before.

Important lessons can be learned: A brighter blonde does not necessarily mean a more recent appearance.

The difference it has actually made is beyond my comprehension. Friends keep asking if I’ve “done something different” or taken a vacation. The warmer tones brighten my face and soften my features in a way that the stark blonde never did, which is why they are so flattering. I appear younger, more rested, and overall look better. I regret not doing it sooner. Don’t be afraid to ask for warm tones, ladies, I want to tell any blondes who are worried about it. Ashy hair reigned supreme in the days we lived in, but to be honest, is it really doing that for you? For me, it wasn’t.

Let Cat Deeley serve as your inspiration if you’re feeling stuck in a color rut or fed up with high-lift blonde maintenance. The lived-in bronde is flattering, sympathetic, and fantastically low-effort, which is what we all require at the moment.

How to maintain your home’s color while cutting down on salon costs

Use a purple shampoo only once per week at most, but ideally once per month. Your hair may become more brittle and dull-looking as a result of a buildup of purple shampoo. Top Tip: Always use a nourishing shampoo after a purple shampoo for a second wash.

Redken Colour Extend Blondage Shampoo, £11.51, is our favorite.

Every week, apply a deep conditioning treatment, preferably using bond-building technology. Your ends will stay hydrated and less susceptible to breakage as a result of the combination of that and moisturizing and nourishing ingredients.

Olaplex No. is a favorite. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask, £22.40

  • Use hot tools without a heat protectant, which can cause your color to fade more quickly, just like UV rays from the sun. To maximize the benefits of your salon color, apply a good heat protectant after every wash and again before styling.

Expert gives definitive answer on Meghan Markle’s use of HRH title

In the midst of a tumultuous row, Meghan Markle has ” blurred” the lines when it comes to using her HRH title. After it became apparent that Meghan used HRH, she sent a monogrammed card to make-up entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima last year, with the words “With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex.”

In the excerpts from her Monday podcast interview with Meghan, Jamie showed an image of the present. Meghan and Harry agreed to end using “Her Royal Highness” and “His Royal Highness” at the end of March 2020 as part of their Megxit negotiations with the Palace.

A photo of a gift hamper sent by Meghan Markle with a note to pal Jamie Kern Lima.
The gift hamper Jamie Kern Lima, who Meghan had sent to her pal, contained a card featuring Meghan’s official title (Jamie Kern Lima/YouTube).

Harry has had his since birth, but they are essentially held in abeyance, just like Prince Andrew, who also no longer uses his HRH style. The couple’s representative denied using them on Monday, but a source on Tuesday claimed that the Sussexes did not use HRH in public but did so in a way that was bothered by it.

Meghan can use the title, but it has a certain grey area, according to constitutional expert Craig Prescott of Royal Holloway University of London. One of the agreements, he explained to the Mirror, was that they would not use these HRH titles but they still kept them when they stepped back from royal duties.

The Palace may not have wanted to do that, but it’s because keeping the door open is a little bit complicated and to make them lose their HRH titles. If we recall, there would be a review after they stepped back for a year.

They still have their HRH titles, so it was decided that they wouldn’t use them in official capacity to prevent commercial activities from receiving a royal seal of approval.

Harry and Meghan agreed to drop their HRH titles when they quit their royal roles
When Harry and Meghan left their royal roles, they contended to drop their HRH titles (via Getty Images).

She could use this as her personal message, but I don’t believe there is anything legally that can stop her from doing so. This has been made public, which is unusual, and it blurs the lines between the private and the personal, in my opinion.

“But this is a friend, and she is making public appearances with her,” she said. You might have assumed that using discretion in a manner that was easily made public would be the best expression of courtesy.

After Harry and Meghan announced their intention to step down as senior royals in January 2020, the late Queen stated in a statement that “together we have found a constructive and supportive way forward for my grandson and his family.”

The “next chapter” of Harry and Meghan’s lives was described in Buckingham Palace as “the new arrangement.” The Sussexes are no longer active members of the royal family, so they will not use their HRH titles.

No laws or signings were passed, but the decision was seen as a general ban, with no mention of Harry and Meghan’s private use of the style.

There was no formal action to revoke a HRH title because, again, i think there was always the possibility that they were returning, as the nature of Harry and Meghan’s departure from royal duties might have meant that. That seems more likely than ever right now.

Your concern is perhaps that there is no indication that they will return or that there is any indication that they will, in some cases, push back against that gentlemen’s agreement and perhaps begin to use this HRH a little bit more? From the perspective of the palace, I believe that will be the issue.

Recently, Lisa Snowdon’s beauty advice has been so compelling that we haven’t looked back. The TV and radio presenter has just dropped her straightforward two-product routine for “easy, radiant glass skin” after previously revealing some impressive results from a neck serum she had been using.

Lisa says in a sponsored Reel that she posted to her Instagram channel that, at the age of 53, “having more mature skin, I am mindful when using any kind of coverage or make-up as it takes all the glow out of my skin, looks heavy and occasionally cakey.” Luckily, she claims to have found the ideal product combination, both from the bestselling skin and make-up brand Rodial.

Lisa Snowdon praises a neck firming serum that “grows smoother, more toned” skin in two weeks.

The Rodial Glass Tint Tinted Moisturiser, which Lisa claims gives you “nice even skin but it’s not thick and cakey, but it’s not thick and cakey,” is then followed by her. With a wide-bristled brush, she then applies it, giving a more even-looking but still very glowy complexion.

You can buy Rodial Glass Tint for less than £31.50 on Lookfantastic, even though there are only three shades in stock right now. Lisa claims that because she’s wearing fake tan, her current shade is a mix of St Bart’s and Rio.
