Devil Wears Prada 2 is making headlines for its come-back cast, but its not just our favourites. Charlie’s Angel, Pauline Chalamet, Timmy’s sister, and this Bridgerton star are said to appear too

Charlie’s Angels actress Lucy Liu is confirmed to join the new cast of Devil Wears Prada sequel, and following in her footsteps is a rumour we hope comes true – that Bridgerton’s leading star could be cast too.

With an impressive CV of stunning looks over the decades, film star and Charlie’s Angel Liu is set to join the already impressive cast made up of Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly; Y2K’s sweetheart Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs; Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton; and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling.

Liu’s famed roles range from blockbuster hit Kill Bill to 2002’s Chicago musical. Her presence in fashion can be sampled by her Midas-touched Marchesa gown at the Red One carpet in 2024, to the embellished red look of dreams – a showstopper from the Oscars, 2000. Safe to say, Lucy Liu belongs in the fictional world of Runway.

Shockingly, many fans of the original have shared their distaste to Liu’s inclusion. One Reddit user wrote: “There are too many famous people in this movie already. It’s giving He’s Just Not That into You, or Valentine’s Day”.

Another user declared “they’re gonna ruin this movie,” talking of the Hollywood stars now confirmed as cast. A third agreed, adding the sequel now “looks like a cash grabbing scam with so many A listers”.

With the sister of the internet’s (and Kylie Jenner’s) boyfriend, Pauline Chalamet, also being signed in to production, rumours have been circulation of other up-and-coming actresses joining Prada’s ranks – fan favourite being none other than Netflix’s Viscountess Bridgerton.

Feasibly Bridgerton’s most popular lead, talks of Simone Ashley entering Miranda Priestley’s stratosphere are more than a hushed whisper. Deadline reports sources have confirmed Lady Kathani (Kate) Bridgerton is leaving the Ton for New York’s fashion capital.

Recently making headlines for F1, the actress is a current PR jackpot for new films after featuring in Disney’s The Little Mermaid as Indira and Olivia Hanan in Sex Education.

Devil Wears Prada 2 will be a response to the current decline in print publishing, said to trail Priestley’s career as she now faces the alleged death of traditional magazine publishing as she knew it. Variety states that Blunt’s Emily now a high-up executive for a luxury group will shift the power balance by means of advertising dollars that Miranda needs to survive.

The film is set to hit cinemas on May 1, 2026.

Tennis star Taylor Fritz is set to take on reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon semi final and his influencer girlfriend Morgan Riddle will be supporting him every step of the way

Taylor Fritz will be taking on the world number two, Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon semi-finals. It will be the first time that Fritz, who is ranked fifth in the world, has made it to the semis in the UK’s grand slam, and as he takes on this major challenge, his influencer girlfriend Morgan Riddle, 27, will be right by his side.

The US tennis star got together with Morgan back in 2020 – a year after his divorce from childhood sweetheart Raquel Pedraza, who he had been with since he was a teenager.

Morgan regularly posts on social media about life following her partner on the ATP tour, and the former model has amassed a sizeable fan base of her own: boasting 600,000 followers on TikTok and amassing a whopping 22.3 million likes on her content.

Whilst all eyes will be on centre court to see if Taylor, 28, can defeat the reigning Wimbledon champ, who knocked out Cameron Norrie – the Brits’ great hope in the tournament – there is almost as much interest in the player’s life off-court, the Mirror takes a look back at the tennis star’s love life.

Ex-wife Raquel Pedraza

Taylor fell in love with his tennis player childhood sweetheart Raquel Pedraza when he was in his teens. The two players bonded over their mutual passion for the sport, and he has credited his ex with playing a huge role in supporting his career.

The tennis player proposed to Raquel – reportedly in front of the Eiffel Tower – and they tied the knot when he was just 18 years old, and she was 17 back in 2016.

A year later, in January 2017, they welcomed their son Jordan, who is now eight years old, and shortly afterwards, in 2017, Taylor opened up in a post-tournament press conference about how his wife had “stepped up” with their new baby to enable him to focus on his career.

In 2014, Raquel had got as high as 86 in the WTA rankings, no mean feat for a youngster, but due to injuries she dropped to 148 a year later – and after having Jordan she decided to retire from the tour altogether.

“My life hasn’t really changed too much because of how my wife has stepped up,” Taylor explained, “She’s really just doing everything she can for me and my tennis.”

In 2019, the pair parted ways, when Jordan was just two years old, and Raquel stays out of the spotlight for the most part, focussing on her son.

In the tennis documentary Break Point for Netflix, Taylor opened up about not getting to spend as much time with his son as he would prefer due to the gruelling demands of life as a professional tennis player.

“I have a son that I don’t get to see near as much as I’d like,” he explained, “As it stands right now, I just have to try and see him as much as I possibly can.”

He has also recently explained that there are factors “preventing” him from bringing his son on tour with him – and has previously admitted because he doesn’t get to be with Jordan all the time, he does occasionally “spoil” the little boy.

In a seriously sweet moment discussing the semi-final, Taylor admitted he wanted to win the Grand Slam to “really impress” Jordan who, he revealed, isn’t often that impressed.

“I don’t know,” if reaching the semis, “would be enough to impress him, I hope so,” Taylor joked, adding, “Every time I tell him that I won a title or played really well it’s like …. he doesn’t react too much….hopefully one day I can do something that truly impresses him”.

Girlfriend Morgan Riddle

Taylor and Morgan got together five years ago in 2020, after matching on the dating app of choice for celebs, Raya. Influencer and former model Morgan has admitted she knew next to nothing about tennis before they fell in love – a far cry from his fellow-professional player ex – but since she has found a niche for herself on social media creating content about life following the ATP as a tennis WAG.

She reportedly gave up her full time corporate job to travel with her partner the year after they got together, and the content she makes about being a tennis girlfriend has gained her a wealth of fans – and she hopes helped introduce the sport to a younger American audience, who may not have been as engaged with it before.

Morgan revealed to People magazine that Taylor is totally in agreement that tennis needs to work a little bit harder to reach the next generation of fans, explaining: “I think that he appreciates that we both have this collective goal of bringing it to a younger crowd. He does his part of it, and I do mine. I remember when him and I first met within the first week or two, one of the things that he told me is I just want tennis to be cooler in our generation. It’s just not.”

When Morgan faced a little bit of backlash for a TikTok she posted about making “tennis cool again” Taylor jumped straight in to defend her, saying in 2022: “I don’t understand how anyone can get upset about it. I’m the one that’s a professional tennis player, I’m the one that does this for a living. I 100 percent agree with everything in that video”.

Taylor has credited the rise in his ranking since their relationship began to Morgan noting previously there is an “obvious correlation”.

He said in one interview, “There’s been a pretty constant, I guess, results and ranking rise since we’ve been together. I think I would have to say she’s been a big help to me just kind of keeping me focused, having someone who cares and just pushes you to just do better and do the right things, be healthier.

“Almost like kind of just mother me in a way with, like, the diet and going to sleep on time. But just having someone to push you in the right direction all the time, supporting you, it helps a lot.”

However, he quickly tried to backtrack after referring to her as motherly, saying it was the best “choice” of term.

Morgan is never afraid to speak her mind – whether that’s discussing women’s rights, tennis fashion, or the relative coolness level of racquet sports – and last year it landed her in a bit of hot water.

After her boyfriend defeated Alexander Zverev who has faced allegations of abuse from former partners – something he denies – Morgan posted a thinly veiled dig at the German tennis star.

Robert Kelbie, who in 2012 admitted to a £145,000 mortgage fraud, attended the Oasis reunion gig in Cardiff last week and shared photos of himself wearing a VIP pass backstage

Robert Kelbie, 41, took to Instagram to share photos of himself wearing a VIP pass while posing with the Oasis star, as well as guitarist Gem Archer and former Doctor Who star Matt Smith. Then last year, Kelbie was pictured with Noel and boxer Josh Taylor at a swanky event. An underworld source previously told the Daily Record: “Seeing Kelbie hanging out with Noel Gallagher you would think he was a rock star himself. They know each other from watching boxing before.

“Robert is well connected in that world so he’s often to be found hanging out with celebs. Who says crime doesn’t pay?” Kelbie, who in 2012 admitted to a £145,000 mortgage fraud, is a known enemy of caged cocaine kingpin Mark Richardson, 38.

Richardson is currently behind bars, while his associates – including the notorious Daniel Clan – are in a bloody turf war with Dubai-based Ross “Miami” McGill and a group known as Tamo Junto. Back in 2010, Kelbie was shot in the back outside a Bannatyne’s Health Club in Edinburgh.

Then in 2013, a volley of bullets were fired at the his home, which was fortified with spiked railings and CCTV cameras. He was again targeted by a shooter in Ratho Station in September 2016.

Mariah Carey has entertained fans with her sassy remark about Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s star-studded wedding. The billionaire Amazon boss caused controversy over his $50million nuptials in Italy.

He tied the knot in Venice despite threats and protests by anti-capitalists and locals. The 25-minute wedding ceremony saw the pair exchange vows in front of around 200 high profile guests, including the Kardashian-Jenners, Orlando Bloom and Oprah Winfrey, as well as Ivanka Trump and her family.

Rania Al Abdullah, the Queen of Jordan also watched on, as did supermodels, actors and business-people. However, among those not on the guest list was Mariah.

The singer, 56, was asked her thoughts on the lavish wedding, with fans thinking she threw some subtle shade at the newlyweds in her response. While out over the weekend, a photographer asked: “What did you think about Jeff Bezos’ wedding?”

In the clip, which has since gone viral, Mariah quipped: “I wasn’t there.” Many fans thought her three-word response struck a familiar cord with Mariah’s infamous “I don’t know her” line about Jennifer Lopez in 2003.

Mariah was probed even further about Bezos and Sanchez as she was asked: “Were you not invited or what?” The Grammy winner responded: “Oh, don’t turn this into that.”

Fans loved Mariah’s witty response as one said: “I don’t think she knows them [crying emoji].” Another joked: “Who? What wedding she doesn’t know it.” Someone else commented: “Her saying I wasn’t there she clearly knows who he is come on.”

“Love she had a sense of humor about it,” praised another. Jeff and Lauren caused controversy with their wedding, and the high profile guests have also received backlash for attending.

Protestors gathered in Venice at Santa Lucia train station armed with banners that read “If you can rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax.” The demonstration is believed to have been organised by the No Space For Bezos group.

A few members of the group were seen laden with Amazon boxes that had the words “ordered, shipped, delivered, rejected” written on them. Not only did people on social media criticise the wedding, so did Hollywood celebrities like Charlize Theron and Rosie O’Donnell.

Charlize spoke about the nuptials while at the fifth annual block party for her charity, Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project and said she was okay with not getting an invitation.

“I think we might be the only people who did not get an invite to the Bezos wedding, but that’s okay because they suck and we’re cool,” the Oscar winner said. She went on to thank people for coming to her charity event, “especially when the world feels like it’s burning because it is.”

Rosie O’Donnell also criticised Jeff in the form of a poem shared on her Substack. “It turned my stomach / Seeing all these billionaires / Gathering in the gross excess of it all / The show of it,” she wrote.

“Is Oprah friends with Jeff Bezos / Really – how is that possible / He treats his employees with disdain / By any metric he is not a nice man.”

She then took aim at Lauren before hyping up his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott. “And his fake fem bot wife / Who looks like that / Why would he choose her / After the salt of the earth Mackenzie.”

Yungblud, the zombie star, informed fans he was “so sorry” to have cancelled his Dundee show tomorrow following his star turn at Black Sabbath’s farewell gig.

Yungblud has been forced to cancel his gig in Scotland this week after suffering from tonsilitis. The Zombie star, real name Dominic Harrison, 27, told fans he was “so sorry” to not be able to perform in Dundee tomorrow after taking medical advice.

Taking to Instagram today, four days after he wowed crowds at Villa Park supporting Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath for their epic farewell gig, he wrote: “Dundee, I have some bad news. I was diagnosed with tonsilitis, I was trying to get them out, but obviously I need to find time as I’m on the road all the time.

At a moving farewell concert in Birmingham on Saturday, Yungblud led a supergroup through a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes.”

The powerful version of Sabbath’s classic ballad was described as brining the sold-out crowd in tears, according to the Mirror team who were at the Back To The Beginning farewell concert.

Yungblud was joined on stage by Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne touring keyboardist Adam Wakeman, Anthrax’s Frank Bello on bass, Nuno Bettencourt on guitar, and Sleep Token’s II on drums.

Before the farewell concert began, the Doncaster performer gave Ozzy a custom cross.

Ozzy gave me his gold cross while filming The Funeral, and he said, “I hope this brings you luck,” Yungblud said of the special moment backstage.

“I figured it was time for me to return the favor and let him know how important he and the band are to me at this monumental moment,” he said.

He captioned the clip: “my f****** hero]bat emoji] (sic)”

When he presented Ozzy with a large wooden box, he said, “I made you something.” You eluded me, and I wanted to give you something because I made you.

Ozzy looked up the box and said, “Oh my god, that is unbelievable.”

Yungblud has 46 upcoming concerts on their schedule and is currently on tour in 17 different nations. His next stop on the road was supposed to be Dundee’s Livehouse, but it’s now Liverpool’s The Dome.
