South Korean singing sensation Wheesung, 43, was discovered dead at his home,

The body of the K-Pop icon, born Choi Whee-sung, reportedly found a “significant amount of time” post mortem. Authorities in Seoul have reported that although the artist was in cardiac arrest when found, foul play is not suspected in the investigation of his death.

Wheesung, born Choi Whee-sung, burst onto the scene in 2002 and quickly gained recognition for his soulful voice. He was a massive hit in the 2000s and is credited with bringing R&amp, B to the forefront in South Korea.

Over time, Wheesung became a mentor and vocal coach to K-pop stars, even penning songs for some of them. He collaborated with numerous artists and performed at K-pop concerts worldwide, including Hollywood.

He was set to perform alongside ballad singer KCM this weekend in Daegu city. His R&amp, B ballads have been lauded by veteran Korean singers like Shin Seung-hun and Seo Tae-ji.

“F*** it really hurts. Jonghyun, Sulli, Hara, Moonbin, Wheesung… I saw them all on stage. And they’ve all passed at a young age. As much as I love the music, I hate how the industry mentally and physically takes a toll on people. They do not get enough rest”, one fan wrote on Twitter (X) as thousands paid tribute online.

“Rest in peace, Wheesung. Thank you for being the silent cheerleader for a lot of our young kpop dreamers, including Mamamoo”, another added, with a third writing: “Thank you WHEESUNG for write golden song like this for super junior, REST IN PEACE”. On Instagram, papper Verbal Jint posted a black square, accompanied with the caption: “Every moment we shared was an honour, and I’m grateful. You’ve worked so hard, rest in peace, Wheesung”.

Wheesung was handed a two-year suspended sentence in 2021 for abusing propofol, a powerful anesthetic which also caused the death of Michael Jackson. On two occasions in 2020, the late singer was found unconscious along with syringes and vials containing etomidate, a sleep-inducing drug similar to propofol.

In December 2023, Wheesung revealed he was living a more reclusive life, telling fans on Instagram: “It’s been a while. Due to severe mental anguish, I’ve been hiding at home for a long time. I tried styling my hair for the first time in a while. I’ll try to update more frequently”.

Maura Higgins friend’s desperate five-word plea to public after Danny Jones kiss

Jungle celebrity Maura Higgins ‘ friend has issued a desperate five-word plea to the public following her publicised drunken kiss with married McFly star Danny Jones.

The star has jetted off to Los Angeles for a photoshoot amidst the controversy surrounding her alcohol-fuelled encounter.

Friends of Maura have described the past week as “horrendous”, as she’s been bombarded with “horrific” online trolling. They added: “People need to calm down”.

The close friend said how Maura was in a “bad way…. and really struggling”. They said: “Maura is a tough character but the reaction to events of the last week has been utterly relentless, and it’s fair to say it’s taken its toll. She has found all of this very difficult to navigate. She appreciates she’s in the public eye and there is extra interest around her, but the abuse is off the charts, and people need to calm down”.

Maura was seen looking despondent at Los Angeles International Airport late last week.

The friend added: “She is trying to treat things as business as usual, but it’s hard”.

The backlash began after a video surfaced showing Danny, 38, and Maura, 34, sharing a brief intoxicated kiss at a BRIT Awards afterparty around 3am. They were later spotted leaving the London event together, all smiles, reports the Mirror.

A second video then appeared, showing them together at another afterparty at the Nobu Hotel in Marylebone.

An onlooker previously revealed: “Danny and Maura seemed to be enjoying their night of partying. They were knocking back wine at the Nobu from 4am and seemed keen to carry on. They weren’t seen leaving before 6am”.

A source confided in the Mirror last week that Danny’s recent actions have been a bitter blow to his wife Georgia, 38, a former Miss England. The insider remarked: “She has been an incredible partner so this feels very unfair”.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2014, share a seven year old son. Today she broke her social media silence by posting a pic of him.

A person close to Danny’s circle disclosed that the McFly star is locked in crisis talks with his spouse in hopes of salvaging their union. The informant continued: “Maura is getting a lot of the backlash, and Danny seems to be getting away with his actions”.

As she departed the country, Maura teased her followers with an airplane window shot on her Instagram story, captioned: “Exciting shoot” along with a plane emoji.

Her path crossed with Danny when they both joined ITV1’s ‘ I’m A Celebrity ‘ in November. Danny once expressed his devotion to Georgia in the 2012 McFly autobiography ‘ McFly – Unsaid Things… Our Story’, stating: “Georgia’s amazing for me. The old Danny, the kid in the sweetie shop every time pretty girls were around, is gone. I don’t want anybody else but her”.

South Korean Singer Wheesung Found Dead At 43

South Korean singer Wheesung was found dead at his residence, his management said Tuesday, with police reportedly planning to conduct an autopsy to determine the 43-year-old’s exact cause of death.

Wheesung, who had a string of hits in South Korea including a popular cover of British star Craig David’s “Insomnia”, was found unconscious in his apartment at 6: 29 pm Monday &nbsp, by emergency responders after his mother called for help, local media reported.

Police told local media they had found no signs of foul play but warned that “a significant amount of time” had elapsed since he died, with an autopsy requested.

“Artist Wheesung has left us”, his management agency Tajoy Entertainment said, adding agency staff and colleagues were “in deep sorrow”.

He was scheduled to perform alongside singer KCM in the southeastern city of Daegu this coming Saturday.

In his final message on social media, Wheesung announced the upcoming concert and wrote: “Weight loss completed. See you on March 15”.

Since his singing debut in 2002, Wheesung had been popular in the South with numerous hit songs, including chart-topping “With Me”, and was well-regarded for his soulful performances.

But his music career took a hit in 2021 when he was convicted and handed a suspended jail sentence for use of propofol — a surgical anaesthetic that is sometimes abused recreationally.

An overdose of the drug was cited as the cause of pop star Michael Jackson’s death in 2009.

South Korean singers and fans mourned Wheesung’s sudden death.

Rapper Verbal Jint paid tribute on Instagram, saying: “Every moment we spent together was an honour and I’m thankful. You’ve worked so hard. Rest in peace, Wheesung”.

Another rapper, Paltoalto, thanked the veteran singer for fond memories, mentioning he went to see his first concert.

“It’s shocking and sad. I’m thankful for the music that accompanied me through the good memories of my youth”, he wrote on Instagram.

In a heartfelt comment on the artist’s last social media post, a fan said: “At your concert on December 23 last year, you told us to expect a lot from you, singing until you’re 60. I never thought that would be the last time I hear your voice… Goodbye, my idol, Wheesung”.

Last month, another South Korean actor, Kim Sae-ron, was found dead at her home aged 24.

Bake Off star Prue Leith relegated to ‘walk on part’ as husband muscles in on new show

Prue Leith’s new series Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen may have the 85-year-old chef’s name in the title, but Prue is quick to admit she is no longer the star of her own show.

“In this series, there is a bit more of my husband, John]Playfair]. He almost talks about it like it’s his show now and I’m a sort of walk-on party”, she says. “I have an interesting person to talk to and cook with, and John goes off and discovers things that are happening in the Cotswolds”.

In each of the 10 episodes, a celebrity stops by Prue’s countryside home to show off their cooking skills, and one in particular got on famously with Prue’s husband. “One of the guests I enjoyed seeing the most was Lulu. What actually amused me was that she originally came from Glasgow, but she doesn’t sound very Scottish. John is Scottish, so as soon as they met, he greeted her in an exaggerated Glasgow accent, and the two of them were off then. They ended up singing together”!

The series comes as a welcome break from the long days of filming Prue is used to on The Great British Bake Off.

“I have never enjoyed filming so much as I do filming at home. It’s a lovely house and the kitchen sort of comes into its own when there are a lot of people in it”, she says. “I am quite gregarious anyway, so we got really chummy with the whole crew and it just felt like a great big family party all the time. I loved it – I quite missed it when they all went away.

” For example, Bambi, who does my make-up, would bang on my door at about eight o’clock in the morning with a cup of tea in her hands and say, ‘ Wake up and get into the make-up chair. ‘ Whereas if I’m filming Bake Off, I have to sometimes get up at four or five o’clock in the morning to drive. So that was just lovely. “

Earlier this month, Prue revealed that she has made a change in her life – she now wears hearing aids. Speaking to students in a Q&amp, A at the Cambridge Union, the Channel 4 star interrupted the conversation to say:” Sorry, I am a bit deaf so I am struggling to hear a bit. This is so embarrassing because I really can’t hear at all. My husband is so cross with me as I have just been given some hearing aids and I never remember to put them in. I am so sorry. “

In 2021, Prue wrote about hearing aids in her agony aunt column in The Telegraph when a reader wrote to her saying her father was struggling to wear them. At the time Prue wrote:” This is a really common problem. When my mother was in her 80s, she was beginning to go deaf and senile at the same time. “

” She was convinced we all mumbled, and actors didn’t speak clearly anymore. The problem was that we’d left it too late. By the time we’d persuaded her to wear hearing aids, she’d forget what they were, fish one out shouting, ‘ What’s this thing doing in my ear? ‘ and hurl all two grand’s worth across the room. “

Sarah Beeny never expected to find herself on The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer – because she’s not exactly gifted in the kitchen. The property expert believes she hasn’t got the right personality to excel with cupcakes and custards. “I’ve never really baked”, laughs Sarah, 53. “I think I’m a bit too impatient”.

Sarah is joining comics Adam Buxton, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Jamali Maddix and Phil Wang, model Ellie Goldstein, TV veteran Gloria Hunniford, Kate Garraway, actors Jim Howick, Tommy Tiernan, Meera Syal, Sophie Willan and Maxine Peake, presenters Roman Kemp and Amelia Dimoldenberg, married podcasters Chris and Rosie Ramsey, singer Self Esteem and property expert siblings Scarlette and Stuart Douglas in the famous white tent.

The celebs are all taking part in support of Stand Up To Cancer, a joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4. Hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will be providing encouragement as the stars take on a signature bake, a technical bake and a showstopper.

Original judge Paul Hollywood is back, while Prue Leith’s long-standing friend and former colleague Caroline Waldegrave is standing in for Prue. And it doesn’t look like they are going to be very impressed with Sarah and Kate as not only does Sarah not bake, she also doesn’t even like cake.

“I don’t actually like cake much”, Sarah whispers. “Can I say that? They’re really low on my priority list. I guess you’re a pudding or a cheese person, and I’m a cheese person. Starter or pudding? Starter. Give me smoked salmon rather than dessert. That’s got bang for bucks”!

Sarah also don’t mind admitting they have had their fair share of nightmares in the kitchen. It’s a cottage pie that haunts her. “I’ve had millions of disasters, loads! I once cooked a cottage pie and didn’t have enough space to keep it in the fridge. It went off and it smelled so bad I had to dig a hole in the garden to bury it”.

It’s Tuesday, March 11, and one star sign is encouraged to listen to hear something important.

There are 12 zodiac signs – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces – and the horoscopes for each can give you the lowdown on what your future holds, be it in work, your love life, your friends and family or more.

These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant, who has been reading star signs for over 50 years. From horoscopes/aries/daily/”>Aries through to Pisces, here’s what today could bring for your horoscope – and what you can do to be prepared.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

Someone’s secretive behaviour is causing a lot of confusion. You know they are being dishonest and you’re frustrated because they will not admit to this. The tension between you is likely to lead to issues that will be difficult to resolve.

Taurus (Apr 21 – May 21)

You’ve had some plans for yourself in mind for some time but other things keep getting in the way. It’s not just your home and workplace but also obligations and commitments that need sorting out. In fact, friendship ties are impeding your progress. By recognising this you will see how some relationships are weighing you down.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)

You’re starting to notice improvements in areas where there have been a few discrepancies. Just don’t let this lead you to ignoring pesky details as what appears insignificant now could become crucial, later. While it might sound boring, addressing minor issues now would be better than postponing them until they escalate.

Cancer (June 22 – July 23)

Steer clear of heavy topics right now as misunderstandings are likely to happen. You will need to address joint finances soon but if you do so today, it will be almost impossible to come to a friendly agreement. The atmosphere in a group will also feel a little strained this evening. Wait until tomorrow.

Leo (July 24 – Aug 23)

You may have to deal with a few issues that look complicated but don’t worry. They won’t be as difficult as they look. A positive attitude will help you get through any difficulties. If you’ve been asked to keep a secret, be sure to keep it to yourself as someone is relying on you to do.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sept 23)

A close relationship is turning out to be a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows. Any doubts you may have had about this relationship lasting will quickly fade away as you agree on long-term plans of a joint nature. You’re also feeling confident about financial choices you’re making together.

Libra (Sept 24 – Oct 23)

At any other time you would have been extremely upset with someone for revealing the details of a private conversation. Recent developments have made it hard for you to be annoyed with them. You can now see the reason behind them disclosing this information.

Scorpio (Oct 24 – Nov 22)

There’s a lot of talk going on around you. Be sure to listen and you might hear something important. Your intuition is particularly heightened. It’s a great time to think about your work/life balance and make some time in your life to unwind and recharge.

Sagittarius (Nov 23 – Dec 21)

During this past week or so, you have experienced a fascinating mix of events, ideas and challenges. You might wonder how you got through everything. Now, in hindsight, you can see you have not only achieved success but you’ve also gained profound insights from the more frustrating moments. You feel genuinely grateful for the experience.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 20)

Something is weighing heavily on your mind but you aren’t ready yet, to share it with others. A friend will pick up on your unease. Getting others to pitch in or to face up to their responsibilities will not be easy. Not everyone is as willing as you are to get on with what has to be done.

Aquarius (Jan 21 – Feb 19)

Allow yourself some time and space to think about how to handle a difficult situation. Someone is being stubborn and you’re trying to be patient with them. There is a lot of work ahead. You’re aiming for success and you want to impress someone who has been negative with you of late.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Most key tasks will be accomplished during the first half of the day. Your family and friends will be there to support you through everything. Later, keep your wits about you as you will get the chance to make a lucrative deal or two.
