Kate Middleton’s go-to jewellery brand has the perfect personalised Mother’s Day bracelet

If there’s one piece of Kate Middleton’s jewellery that means the most to her, it’s probably her personalised 18k Gold Plated Merci Maman Personalised Duchess Necklace. The Princess Of Wales was gifted one of Merci Maman’s personalised necklaces by her sister Pippa to celebrate the birth of Prince George back in 2013.

This led to the creation of the ‘ Duchess ‘ necklace in her honour, which features a circular pendant that can be engraved (Kate had hers engraved with her children’s names), and the sweet style has remained popular ever since due to the ‘ Kate Effect. ‘ Now, just in time for Mother’s Day, you can pick up a coordinating Sterling Silver Merci Maman Personalised Pastille Chain Bracelet that makes the perfect gift for under £60.

Priced at £59, the customisable Pastille Chain Bracelet is a timeless, elegant design that wouldn’t look out of place on Kate Middleton herself. It features a simple dainty silver chain with a smooth disc charm that can be engraved with any message of your choosing.

You can have up to 10 characters on the front of the disc, and 10 on the back with the charm measuring 1.4cm by 1.4cm. Pick from a name or initials or even a meaningful date or brief message, making it completely unique to the person you’re giving it to.

The Personalised Pastille Chain Bracelet is the perfect versatile addition to any jewellery box, and is elegant enough to be worn on its own or perfect for stacking with other pieces for more of a statement-making look. As the Pastille bracelet is unique and made to order, you’ll need to leave a little extra time for it to be delivered, which means if you’re planning on giving it as a Mother’s Day present you’ll need to snap it up soon.

If you want something a little different or designer-inspired without the hefty price tag, Abbott Lyon’s Clover Charm Bracelet looks just like the luxury version loved by the Royals. However, it not only has a more affordable price tag of £69, but it can be fully customised with letters of your choice in each clover, making the perfect unique gift.

You can choose from gold or silver, and pick which colour inlay you’d like within the clovers. You can also pick up to six clover charms to have on the bracelet, giving you six letters to play with for your personalisation.

Kate opted for all three of her children’s names to be engraved on hers, as well as having multiple charms dangling from it for a totally bespoke, unique piece.

Maura Higgins jokes around in new ITV Cheltenham job after drunken BRITs kiss with Danny Jones

Maura Higgins has bagged a new job with ITV after appearing to share a drunken kiss with married McFly star, Danny Jones.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! co-stars shocked fans when they locked lips at the BRIT Awards after party in London on March 1 after reportedly spending much of the evening together. Neither Danny, 38, or Maura, 34, have referenced the scandal. However, the former ring girl from Ireland has popped up on TV today, promoting ITV’s Cheltenham Festival coverage.

Dressed to impressed in a smart tweed blazer with a cream polo neck, swishing her long pony tail in a pub, Maura tells fans they’re “going to hear a lot of noise this week” as she launches into a promo for the races.

Manoeuvering her way around the boozer, rolling her eyes, she says: “Now, you’re going to hear a lot of noise this week… Willy Mullins wins another, our girl Rachel does it again, the Irish dominate Cheltenham… blah blah blah”!

She continued: “We’re gracious winners, not boastful. I’m not even going to mention Istabraq, Dawn Run, eh, Hurricane Fly!… Oh to hell with it, it’s Cheltenham and we’re going to win it all”!

The racing event is run by The Jockey Club and is Britain’s third biggest sporting event in terms of attendance, worth an estimated £274 million to the local economy. Maura, who shared the clip on her Instagram page, stars in the advert alongside former Irish jockey, Rupert ‘ Ruby ‘ Walsh, who makes a blink and you’ll miss it appearance as one of the punters at the bar.

The Irish Love Island star jetted off to Los Angeles last week after her drunken kiss with Danny angered fans. Maura is said to be “in a bad way… and really struggling” according to pals who have rallied behind her in the wake of the scandal.

Friends of the reality star say that the last week has been “horrendous” as she has been deluged with “horrific” trolling on her social media.

Speaking to the Mirror, her pal said: “Maura is a tough character but the reaction to events of the last week has been utterly relentless, and it’s fair to say it’s taken its toll. She has found all of this very difficult to navigate. She appreciates she’s in the public eye and there is extra interest around her, but the abuse is off the charts, and people need to calm down”.

Danny, meanwhile, is yet to break his silence but his wife, Georgia, did share a snap of their seven-year-old son, Cooper, on Instagram today and was flooded with support.

Telling the mum-of-one they were thinking of her, one wrote: “Hope you’re okay Georgia, you’ve got this xxx”. Another said: “Everyone is in your corner you’ve got this much love” while a third pledged: “We’re all rallied around you”.

Victoria Beckham delivers perfect curtsy as she meets Camilla at Buckingham Palace

Posh Spice lived up to her name today as she spent some time with Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles at Buckingham Palace.

Victoria Beckham, 50, rubbed shoulders with the likes of Loose Women star Penny Lancaster as King Charles ‘ wife hosted an event to mark the 15th anniversary of Women of the World (WOW).

The singer-turned-designernailed the royal curtsy as she was greeted by Camilla at the swanky event, wearing a teal-coloured satin gown for the fancy occasion. Other notable guests at the palace included Sarah Lancashire, Ruth Jones, Ruby Wax and Cherie Blair.

The guests were handpicked to honour women who are leaders in their respective fields, from arts to education and business, along with staff members of WOW. During the reception, the Queen engaged in conversation with the attendees before delivering a speech to commemorate the event.

Victoria’s meeting with Camilla comes just months on from her husband David Beckham being snubbed for a knighthood once again. In December, it was revealed that the Manchester United and England legend had been overlooked in the 2025 New Year’s honours list

The snub could be due to the controversy from over seven years ago when he lambasted the honours committee in a leaked email for leaving him out. In the emails, Beckham allegedly called the honours committee “unappreciative c***s” and expressed indifference about being knighted, although he has suggested some of the content was doctored.

The leaked correspondence includes Beckham reportedly stating: “I expected nothing less. It’s a disgrace to be honest and if I was American I would of got something like this 10 years ago”. It’s been reported that David had a go at opera singer Katherine Jenkins for receiving an OBE in the emails regarding her honour.

A source close to David told The Mirror in 2017 that while Beckham remains composed amid the controversy because he knows his substantial contributions to UNICEF, “But he is just saddened that people would question all of that work. Genuinely, he wasn’t as vitriolic as that, but you do say some things in private and in the heat of the moment”.

They added that David feels his dedication to his country goes above and beyond: “To be honest, he does feel that he has given so much to his country. And sometimes you say things in private that anyone would say and you don’t really mean it. While he was frustrated in those emails, he was over it the moment he sent them. Getting the knighthood is not what his work is about. He doesn’t care if he gets a knighthood or not”.

Meghan Markle needs to pick one of two options to recover from panned Netflix show, expert says

Meghan Markle has two options if she wants to move past her brutal Netflix show reviews, an expert has warned.

It has been a week since With Love, Meghan hit the streaming platform showing the Duchess of Sussex share tips and tricks when it comes to cooking and hosting. But the eight-part series, which sees her joined by a string of celebrity friends, has been savaged by critics, with some claiming it is ‘ boring’.

The show had been viewed as a make-or-break moment for the Sussexes, who signed a multimillion-pound deal with Netflix in 2020. However, it was revealed that it will be returning for a second season in the autumn with filming for it already taking place.

With more episodes in the pipeline and her lifestyle brand selling jam and flower sprinkles still to come, PR expert Ed Coram-James has revealed how Meghan can shake off the criticism. And he told the Mirror there are two roads she can take – either do nothing or re-evaluate her role in the show.

He explained: “On With Love, Meghan, the duchess is glowing, surrounded by seemingly close friends and family, in stunning Montecito, which she calls home. She seems happy — it’s her passion project — she’s experimenting and is lucky enough to have the resources and platform to share her passion.

” Some people have compared her to Brooklyn Beckham, not knowing his forte, but experimenting with everything from cooking to photography, and I don’t think this is a bad thing at all.

“Perhaps she simply won’t care about the reviews and expected bad feedback if she has any self-awareness. It might be best to simply ignore them and continue doing what she does best: making headlines as she continues her journey post-royal life”.

But Ed, CEO of Go Up, believes that the poor reviews will sting for Meghan and she should attempt to “reframe the narrative”. He explained: “Meghan has experience pivoting in the media — take her Oprah interview, for example, where she took ownership of her own story.

” Moving past these reviews will require her to lean into her authentic self even more, perhaps by showing up more prominently in the content and being more transparent about her involvement. She’s recently returned to Instagram but could be doing more with it, such as taking her audience behind the scenes of her work. “

The second season of With Love, Meghan is coming in the autumn, and has already finished filming, according to Netflix. Meghan posted on her Instagram stories on Friday with a video of her wearing a hat with the writing” lettuce romaine calm “on and grinning, then turning and putting her hands in the air.

The caption on the Instagram story said:” Lettuce romaine calm… or not (!) because I’m thrilled to share that Season 2 of ‘ With Love, Meghan ‘ is coming! “The story was shortly followed by a post on her Instagram with a reel with clips of her cooking and the caption:” Oh, how I love ASMR! If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2! “Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life! @netflix”.

Laneige has just added to its Bouncy &amp, Firm skincare line with the new Bouncy &amp, Firm Serum, which launched today (11 March 2025) exclusively at Space NK. The key ingredients in this must-have new serum – which costs £39 for a 30ml bottle – include a plumping and hydrating peony and collagen complex, firming peptide water, and 24, 000 of what Laneige calls SmoothTech™ Capsules, which smooth the skin. The result is a lightweight, non-sticky and quickly-absorbed formula that instantly makes skin look better.

We think it’s a great one for guys too, whose skin often suits a clear, hydrating, gel-type serum.

Space NK says that this new serum pairs perfectly with Laneige’s Bouncy &amp, Firm Lip Treatment, which costs £23 on its own, or you can buy both of them together for £62 (these lip balms last for ages, too).

Alternatively add Laneige’s most iconic product to your basket: the Lip Sleeping Mask, £21. Now available in a number of different shades and flavours, this lip balm went even more viral after mega-influencer Molly-Mae Hague revealed that she packed it in her hospital bag before giving birth to daughter Bambi.

Another Laneige product Molly loves is the Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturiser, £19.50. On a video on Lookfantastic’s TikTok channel, the 25-year-old says, “I’ve put so many of my friends and family onto this. For dryness, this is incredible, and it’s not too unreasonably priced.

” The consistency and the formula is so lightweight yet so hydrating, and under make-up this sits beautifully too. “

If you’re looking for an alternative to the new Laneige Bouncy &amp, Firm Serum, we also really love Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum, at 75ml, you get more product for your money, and it’s currently part of a ‘ buy one Vichy product, get one half price ‘ offer at Boots.

You’ll also find the cult classic No7 Protect &amp, Perfect Intense ADVANCED Serum reduced down from £27.95 to £10 today as part of Boots ‘ £10 Tuesday deals – but you’ll need to be quick if you want to nab it at this price.

BBC Morning Live’s Dr Xand shares warning to people with knee pain

Dr Alexander van Tulleken sought to separate facts from fiction on BBC Morning Live today amidst a flood of questions about knee pain. The 46-year-old said that while it’s easy to assume that sore legs are always a sign of ageing or strenuous activity, there’s actually a common culprit that ‘ stands out more than any other’.

Speaking to the show’s presenters, he explained that such a cause is osteoarthritis—a condition that gives rise to stiffness, swelling, tenderness, and joint pain. arthritis/” rel=”nofollow” target=”_self”>NHS figures suggest it is the most common type of arthritis in the UK, affecting millions of people.

“If you have got new pain in both knees, you should definitely talk to your GP because there are lots of causes of knee pain and they can be treated in different ways”, Dr Xand said. “But there is one cause that sort of stands out more than any other, it affects millions of people in the UK, and that is osteoarthritis.

Osteoarthritis is a condition that gives rise to stiffness, swelling, tenderness, and joint pain (Getty Images)

” We used to call that, some people still call it ‘ wear and tear arthritis’, but that is one of the myths I really want to bust today. We mustn’t think of our knees as getting worn out. “

While age can influence osteoarthritis, other risk factors include obesity, a family history of the condition, previous joint injuries, and even poor dietary choices. The condition can also cause creaking noises in the joints and instability when moving around.

However, Dr Xand stressed that sufferers should not think of themselves like ‘ old cars’, adding that the ‘ worst thing ‘ you can do is to keep resting for too long. Instead, he recommends incorporating exercise into your daily routine, as this can help to strengthen your knees over time.

Biking, swimming, dancing, walking, or anything else that makes you happy while keeping you active should help. The NHS also offers a range of at-home exercise tutorials for individuals with mobility issues, though it is worth consulting a GP before trying them.

Besides this, Dr Xand added that maintaining a healthy diet and cutting out smoking can make a difference if weight is a significant contributing factor”. It’s very, very hard to lose weight, so here’s how I think about it instead, “he said.

” Sleep, stress, alcohol, smoking – all those things will make a big difference to your knees. So, think about tackling those. Improve your diet rather than think about weight loss because if you eat a broader range of fruit and vegetables and whole grains and whole foods, and cut down on the ultra-processed food, you can still eat delicious stuff.

BBC Morning Live screenshot of Dr Xand
Dr Xand urged viewers suffering from knee pain to maintain a healthy diet (BBC Morning Live)

“You can still have all those things, but it will reduce the inflammation and irritation in your knees”.

NHS guidance adds: “Osteoarthritis is a long-term condition and cannot be cured, but it doesn’t necessarily get any worse over time and it can sometimes gradually improve. A number of treatments are also available to reduce the symptoms.

” If your symptoms are more severe, you may need additional treatments such as painkillers and a structured exercise plan with a physiotherapist.

“In a small number of cases, where these treatments haven’t helped or the damage to the joints is particularly severe, surgery may be done to repair, strengthen or replace a damaged joint”.
