In Florida, ugly Betty actor Eric Mabius was detained for battery and resisting arrest, and his unrecognizable mugshot was released by police.

The 53-year-old actor was taken into custody at the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center just before 6 a. m. on Thursday 20th February.

According to Mabius’s charge sheet, the “belligerent” star was arrested after allegedly pushing a female victim and knocking her to the ground. During the altercation at a bar called The Goat, which is close to Fernandina Beach, he reportedly pulled out “fistfuls” of her hair. He now faces two misdemeanour charges: battery and resisting an officer without violence.

The actor, best known for playing magazine editor Daniel Meade, looked almost unrecognisable in his mugshot, wearing a stripe orange and white T-shirts, with a bruised and cut right eye.

According to The Sun, a spokesperson stated that the 53-year-old had been arrested after he and a 40-year-old woman began creating a disturbance. The sheriff’s office stated the pair were reportedly intoxicated. They claimed that witnesses reported to them that the bartender had repeatedly asked the woman to leave, and that Mabius and the woman then started spit on several of the patrons.

A bystander intervened and pulled Mabius away from them, according to the spokesperson. When deputies arrived, they reported that Mabius became increasingly “belligerent” outside the bar and repeatedly ignored officer’s instructions to remain seated during the investigation.

The female victim has declined to bring charges, but the spokesperson claims that Mabius and the victim have been detained for “simple battery and resisting without violence.” The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office detained 53-year-old Eric Mabius on suspicion of battery and resisting law enforcement without using force, according to a spokesman for the force.

” According to deputies, the incident occurred at The Goat on Lofton Square Ct., where Mabius and a 40-year-old woman were reportedly intoxicated and creating a disturbance. Witnesses claimed that both Mabius and the woman started spitting on several patrons after the bartender repeatedly asked the woman to leave.

“Mabius allegedly shoved a female victim, knocked her to the ground, and pulled out “fustfuls” of her hair,” according to the report. A bystander intervened, pulling Mabius away from the victim. When deputies arrived, they reported that Mabius started acting aggressively outside the building and repeatedly disobeyed orders to remain seated throughout the investigation.

“At one point, Mabius allegedly attempted to walk behind a deputy, leading to the arrest for resisting without violence, according to several deputies. Although the victim refuses to press charges, both the female and Mabius were detained for simple battery and non-violent resisting.

Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper commented:” This type of behaviour will not be tolerated in our community, regardless of celebrity status. We’re grateful that no one was seriously hurt during this unfortunate incident because our deputies dealt with an uncooperative individual quickly.

According to the Post, Mabius is still being detained and hasn’t yet had his first court appearance, which is most likely to be tomorrow morning, according to a Nassau County Sheriff’s Department spokesman.

The eldest of Ben Affleck’s and Jennifer Garner’s children, Violet Affleck, has reportedly cut ties with her ex-girlfriend over concerns that she was a “pawn.”

Ben, 52, married Jennifer Lopez, 55, in 2022, decades after getting engaged to her for the first time in 2002. Unfortunately they weren’t to last, and separated in April 2024, before filing for divorce that August.

Despite JLo and Ben’s split, Violet, 19, remained close to the singer. However, according to reports, Violet is now siding with her father over the divorce drama and is divorcing the Lopez family.

After the Department of Homeland Security reportedly agreed to release some of Prince Harry’s visa documents, a significant update has been made to the US legal case regarding whether or not his application should be made public.

According to reports from today’s filings with the Department of Homeland Security, three items can now be revealed with redactions, which will reveal whether Prince Harry lied about using illegal drugs on his immigration application. However, a fourth document can be made public but should stay private, a judge said.

The Heritage Foundation, a conservative Washington DC think tank, questioned why the Duke of Sussex was permitted into the US in 2020, following a judge’s earlier suggestion that he might permit the release of some of Harry’s secret documents from his visa application.

After he admitted to using cocaine, marijuana, and psychedelic mushrooms in his book Spare, the group are questioning whether his visa was granted. The think tank claims Harry lied on his immigration forms or received special treatment from the Biden administration.

Judge Carl Nichols stated at a hearing in Washington, DC, that he wanted “maximum disclosure as long as it doesn’t violate privacy.” According to him, the US government has until February 20 to specify the release date for any legal documents related to the case. According to Daily Mail, the Department of Homeland Security’s attorneys agreed today that three items can be made public with redactions and that a fourth document should remain private.
