Rebecca Adlington has detailed how she and husband, Andy Parsons, attended couples therapy together after suffering two tragic miscarriages. The former Olympic swimmer, who is a mum to kids Summer and Albie, lost a child at 12 weeks, in August 2022. Just a year later, Rebecca miscarried her daughter, Harper, at 20 weeks, and had to undergo an induced labour and stillbirth.

Rebecca claims that she and Andy worked with a counselor to shift her perspective so that she could accept the tragedy. “I’ve had therapy before, so I knew a lot more about it, but Andy didn’t know what to expect and wasn’t sure. I think the fact that Petals offers counselling together, he was like, ‘ Oh, OK, let’s do it together. ‘ If it had been him alone, I don’t believe he would have left. Really, really helpful and crucial for us to do something together. We spent three or four months doing it, which helped us escape that awful cloud. It helped us both understand what the other was going through because we both reacted and handled situations very differently.

Rebecca admits it was a “dark” time for her and Andy, however, she tells us they have now arrived at a place of acceptance, and she’s keen to help others do the same.

“]Miscarriage] is a hard topic to talk about and to listen to. It’s not spoken about as much because people find it uncomfortable. When I mention miscarriage, they don’t know how to respond or they think I’m going to break down in a flood of tears. Of course, it’s incredibly devastating and heartbreaking, but I got to a point when I’d spoken about it so much. Now, I can talk about Harper without being in floods of tears”, explains Rebecca, who is
a spokesperson for Petals, a charity dedicated to helping people who lose babies.

Ensuring she keeps her daughter’s memory alive, the former sportswoman continues, “We’ve found a way to include her in our family, and the kids even say, ‘ My sister Harper. ‘ We found a place that is just really beautiful. Obviously,
Even though we wish it wasn’t, I want to help people, even one, feel the same way, which is accepting it. Because it’s so devastating, so many people still experience so much trauma.

We have never really had the kid-free time that other couples do because Andy met me when I already have Summer. Our relationship never had the stage where you meet and then have kids, so it’s different, “says Rebecca, who retired from swimming in 2013 after winning double gold at the Beijing Olympics five years earlier”. In an exclusive chat with OK!, Molly, 30, tells us what makes her and Tom, 25, such a strong couple, opens up about fronting a second campaign for Ann Summers – and reveals what she’s hoping to manifest in 2025.

Hi, Molly! You haven’t seen Tom on All Stars in a year. Do you think it’s true?

We still have “pinch-me” moments because we can’t believe we went back on Love Island and genuinely found a true connection, where we can be ourselves with each other. In terms of how I want to be loved, he checks every box.

What do you bring to the table as a girlfriend?

We both love one another the way the other person desires to be loved, and it works both ways. He wants to be loved because I’m very generous and I like looking after him.

Do you know what each other’s ‘ love languages ‘ are?

He does it without fail, and his words are undoubtedly affirmations and probably acts of service. He’ll de-ice my car in the morning without my knowledge so I can fill it up with gas or de-ice it. How’s the house renovation coming along?

We’re about 80% finished with the kitchen. It’s been very stop-start because of Christmas and New Year, but we’re getting there. In the next week or so, we’ll have a lot of painting to finish. The extension will begin the following month and will be complete. We’re going to extend the back of the house, and turn what was a conservatory into more of a room, knocking it through.

You’re a big believer in manifesting. Have any concrete objectives in mind for 2025?

I do! Tom and I did our vision boards and sorted out New Year’s resolutions together, what we want to manifest, and our goals for the next year, together and separately. For me, some TV shows that are a little more physically challenging would be great. We’ll attempt to complete the marathon by the end of the year by running a half marathon in April.

You’re also the face of the Ann Summers ‘ Valentine’s campaign this year, after your Christmas 2024 campaign. You must be buzzing…

I am. Working with them once was a dream come true, and it has been just amazing. Even though modeling is difficult, the sets are amazing and the team did it so much fun.

What was the reaction like? And what does Tom think?

Tom is all about empowering women and body confidence, so he’s totally loving it. He came along to the shoot this time, too. I would never allow anyone to tell me, “I don’t want you to do that,” but Tom would never experience that.

Love Island: All Stars is back of course. What do you make of this year’s line-up? Kaz Crossley, your friend, is there, did she tell you?

No, she didn’t! But, to be fair, she asked me if I was going on All Stars last year and I said “no”, so it makes sense. Because I looked on Instagram and saw that some people were working out over Christmas, and it’s a real commitment, I had my suspicions about a few people going in.

Really enjoy it and get to know everyone, really open yourself up. For the first few weeks, I tried to chat to as many people as possible. And don’t go in with any expectations because then you can never be disappointed. You can just enjoy the whole experience.

” That’s how I would process things and deal with things, it was so healing. But when I met my husband, he became my sanctuary, along with my dog, and I’d never had that before. “

Kelly and Jeremy, 39, started dating in 2015 and, after returning home, she once again sought solace in her timber-framed Wealden farmhouse, which she’d lovingly — and expensively — restored herself. But now that Jeremy is with her, she realized it was time to reintegrate herself into the hustle and bustle of London, despite her love of rural life.

We were excited to move to London, I was excited to work on the radio, and I wanted to just be a little more connected to people. ” But in terms of the garden, I have actually done some work. We’ve just thrown down loads of spring bulbs, so that will be really colourful, and we’ve got some lovely camellias. I want it to have a bit of a Cotswolds, modern-country vibe, so we’ve got some bay trees, some lavender and lots of lovely roses, which hadn’t been pruned so I’ve cut them back very hard and I’m not sure if I’ve done it too much, but we’ll see! “

The model and his wife Kelly’s appearance on Celebrity Race Across the World last summer helped the public get to know Italian model Jeremy a little bit. In a three-part miniseries Kelly and Jeremy: La Vita Italiana, which was shot on Jeremy’s family farm in Southern Italy, the couple also gave an insight into their relationship in November.
