Before getting married to Jeremy Parisi’s long-term partner in 2022, Kelly Brook went through a number of high-profile breakups.
The 45-year-old claims that other women who became mothers have had the hardest breakups in their lives. Kelly says in a candid manner, “You have changed your lives for me the most, which has made it the most difficult for me not to have children over the past 20 years.” It’s sad in a way. Many of my former friends, who have children, miss me. To be honest, when I go for lunch and I’m watching them mother their children, I get a bit like, ‘ I want the attention, you’re my friends. ‘ I don’t want to sit there watching people parent”.
Kelly, who won the Sexiest Woman in the World in 2005, has ex-boyfriends from Hollywood like Danny Cipriani and Thom Evans, but things unfortunately didn’t go as planned. She also considered starting a family with them, and she counts Jason Statham and Danny Cipriani as her former partners. She and Jeremy have spoken of their pain in the past, including a miscarriage that occurred while she was with Thom, and that they have since decided not to try to have a baby again.
On her decision to be child free, Kelly told Prima magazine: “In my 20s and 30s, I had miscarriages and past relationships that took their toll on me, physically and emotionally. It affected my life, my career and how I looked at myself, it made me feel like a bit of a failure. It made me judge my partners negatively, by how they responded to it. Never have I had a truly positive experience with expecting and trying to have children.
I’ve just started to feel like I should be asked about it. We’re not having children ‘ kind of closes off this conversation. I don’t think people are surprised you can be so blunt about it, but that’s where we are. And we’re not advocating that having children is bad.
“Obviously, it’s not, but I don’t think I’m alone. Since I was talking about it on Loose Women, many women have contacted me and said, “I’m the same, thank you for talking about it and thank you for being open about it.”
Kelly made her name by modeling and appearing in movies and TV shows, but she is most well known today for her appearances on Jason King’s Heart FM and Drivetime radio. She claims that taking part in the BBC series Race Across the World last year gave her the opportunity to show the world from the perspective of a celebrity.
She says: “Kelly Brook has been around for 20-odd years, it was something I created. This public persona, glamour model, and actress, Kelly Parsons and Kelly Brook were my alter ego. Doing Race Across The World, I wanted to reintroduce myself as someone who actually has interests outside of entertainment, who loves my husband, loves my dog, loves my garden, cares about nature, cares about travel, cares about seeing the world and being aware of what’s going on outside of the country I live in.
I’m actually more connected than most people would probably give me credit for. I think people think Kelly Brook is this young, ditzy glamour-model girl. Maybe I was, at one point, but it’s not really who I am now. And so, Mrs. Parisi’s introduction was a good one.
Given that they were fans of the show and had previously binge watched it, the pair made it work well despite the odd hiccup. However, she and Jeremy occasionally disagreed on what to do and where to stay, and they ended up being the last two on the final leg due to a bus breakdown.
On taking part in Celebrity Race Across The World Kelly admitted playing up to the cameras a little and says:” Ultimately, I’m an entertainer. I’m a genuine entertainer, and I’m always on camera. And I’d be lying if I didn’t say that. Some of the arguments we made were valid, while others we didn’t need to.
“But I thought, ‘ The cameras are there, it’s what they want. ‘ I believe Jeremy would occasionally be surprised by what I would say or my quips and one-liners. But you’re amped up, you’re in show mode and you’re like, ‘ No, we need to have this conversation on camera, because this is what we’ve signed up to do. ‘”
Kelly is currently pondering another race as she prepares for this year’s London Marathon. She has a surprising tip to stop the chafing that confused her husband. She explains: “I was chatting to a running expert. She said, ‘ What are you going to do about your boobs? ‘ And I said, ‘ Well, what do you recommend? ‘ She said, ‘ You need silicone lubricant, so you don’t get chafing. ‘ This pleasure shop was recently located in New York. I said, ‘ I need to go in here and see if they’ve got this. ‘ And Jeremy said, ‘ What’s it for? ‘ And I said, ‘ It’s for my breasts. ‘ I didn’t tell him it was for the marathon”.
Kelly is currently in excellent shape and feeling at ease. However, when she thinks back about her career, she acknowledges that she had the same feelings when she was regularly featured in magazines and able to get big money modeling bikinis and lingerie. She says, “Looking back at pictures of myself, people would think I was overweight, curvy, and three times lighter than I am now.” How much scrutiny I was a young woman was subject to, is just odd. You look back and you think, ‘ God, I’d do anything to look like that and be like that now. ‘ And actually, at 45, I feel sorry for my younger self, because there was no one there to support me. If anything, when the vultures came in to get you, everyone didn’t want to be around you, because no one wanted it to affect them. Nobody would actually fight back and support you.

Children are extremely boring to anyone unless they are actually their parents, which is what they are. Even so, once they’ve been around the house for 16 years, like I have, they’re rude and dull, and they spend a lot of time loudly examining the limitations of door hinges.
I can’t stick mine out on a rock like the Ancient Romans did, and she can now find her own way home thanks to an innate biological drive.
Therefore, I completely agree with Kelly that her mother-to-be shouldn’t bring their annoying sprogs along for an adults-only lunch. Even the most enthralling friendships would be put to the test if someone inquired about Acacia’s use of potty training to learn Latin verbs.
I’m particularly appreciative of the nights I spent with friends who made the decision to stay home because they are entertaining, wealthy, and haven’t had the sleepless nights themselves.
We’ve come a long way since the days when women who didn’t spawn were called “childless”, and now it’s perfectly acceptable to be “child-free”, but as Kelly’s discovered, that freedom to have lunch without a sticky paw in your pasta does come at a price.
But also Kelly needs to grow up herself – she shouldn’t be competing with her friends ‘ children for attention, because I hate to break it to the Loose Woman star, she’s going to lose out to an irrational, demanding, plague-spreading toddler with green snot where its nose used to be because that’s the deal. I mean, you can’t send them back – God knows, I’ve tried.
