A DJ in Las Vegas was tricked into letting a Justin Bieber impersonator perform Sorry live after being duped into thinking he was the Canadian hitmaker

A Justin Bieber impersonator has been banned from a Las Vegas hotel after successfully convincing an entire nightclub that he was the Canadian pop star.
The incident took place on Saturday, August 16, at XS Nightclub, where 29-year-old Frenchman Dylan Desclos posed as Bieber. Reports state that Desclos not only gained access to VIP areas but also ran up a $10,000 bar bill before joining DJ Gryffin on stage for a surprise performance.
At the time, many believed they were witnessing Bieber’s return to live music following the release of his seventh studio album Swag. The lead single Daisies has been a Top 10 hit in the UK, which added credibility to the idea that the star was making a promotional appearance.

DJ Gryffin, whose real name is Daniel Griffith, later shared his perspective of the incident on TikTok. The 37-year-old admitted that the dark setting and loud music made it difficult to realise the person who approached him was not actually Bieber.
Gryffin wrote: “So his ‘team’ said he wanted to perform ‘Sorry’… little did I know I was about to be sorry. ” The clip, which has since gone viral, shows the DJ smiling after the performance and telling the crowd: “That was insane. That was actually insane. “
Shortly afterwards, a friend informed him that the man he had invited on stage was not Justin Bieber. Gryffin appeared visibly shocked, responding: “There’s no way.”
In a follow-up, the DJ admitted he briefly questioned the man’s appearance, saying: “I literally thought like, ‘damn, he’s put on a lot of weight since the album dropped! ’”
The man who went up on stage was later identified as Dylan Desclos, a French national who has gained attention online for his repeated impersonations of Bieber.
He is known to some as Bustin Jieber, and has staged mock tours, shared viral clips from public transport, and once even met Hailey Bieber, who admitted she was unsettled by his resemblance to her husband.
After his Las Vegas stunt XS Nightclub confirmed that Desclos had been banned from the venue. Social media users have been debating over whether his actions constituted identity theft or if the incident was simply an elaborate prank.
One viewer wrote: “It’s alarming how easily he was able to prank everyone. The fact that a random guy made it to the stage is impressive. “
Meanwhile, another protested: “I’m so lost on this is this not illegal? ? I’m pretty sure this is a form of like fraud or identity theft? ? “
The incident comes after the real Justin Bieber sparked concern from fans when he posted a series of near-nude photos of himself in see-through Calvin Klein boxers after a dip in a lake.
Some people questioned his online behaviour, with one commenting: “Hailey come get your husband,” while another wrote: “What is he doing? He is a married father acting like a teenager on a camping trip with his high school friends. “

Denise Richards has opened up to fans about her ongoing divorce battle in an emotional new video, admitting she has been struggling behind the scenes despite appearing upbeat on social media.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 54, shared a candid Instagram video where she got emotional while addressing her followers about the “very, very, very difficult time” she is currently experiencing.
“I was just checking in to see how your summer’s been going. Mine has been wonderful. And uh. It’s actually been s***ty. But I’m gonna pretend like it’s all good,” Denise confessed at the start of her video.

She explained that she had been putting on a brave face for her fans online, adding: “I’ve actually been posting on Instagram like nothing’s going on in my life, and I can’t do that anymore because there’s something obviously going on.”
The actress, who has starred in Wild Things and Starship Troopers, went on to thank fans for their messages of support as she continues to process her separation from husband Aaron Phypers.
She said: “Many of you have been so kind and so supportive of me. I see all of your messages, I can’t comment because it’ll be taken out and put in the press, but I just wanted to in all seriousness say that this has been a very very very difficult time.”
Denise continued: “It’s so hard to go through a divorce. Many of you have gone through that, this isn’t my first one, it’s my second one, and I never thought I’d get divorced again. This is why I always say never say never.”
Fighting back tears, she added: “There are circumstances around my divorce that are difficult to talk about. One day I will talk about it, when the time is right. I just want to process everything and get through this. It has not been easy, so your messages mean a lot.”
She captioned the post: “Just a little moment of gratitude. Thank you for the love—your kindness and support don’t go unnoticed! It means a lot to me.”

The heartfelt message comes after Richards’ estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, filed for divorce last month, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The pair, who married in 2018, listed their official date of separation as July 4.
The split has already turned contentious. Aaron has alleged that he discovered messages on Denise’s laptop suggesting she had been unfaithful. She has not addressed these claims publicly.
Meanwhile, Denise was granted a temporary restraining order against Aaron after accusing him of physical abuse during their marriage. He strongly denies these allegations. The restraining order will remain in place until a court hearing in August.
Court documents also revealed Aaron is seeking spousal support, claiming he has no income of his own while estimating Denise earns over $250,000 per month from TV roles, brand deals, and OnlyFans. He further alleged that the couple’s lifestyle cost them more than $100,000 a month, including $20,000 on clothing and $15,000 on dining out.
Joe Wicks, also known as The Body Coach, has been documenting his bid to go sugar free on his social media – with some experts now speaking out about the attempt
Fitness coach Joe Wicks has landed himself in hot water amid an ongoing backlash following his recent comments about banning sugar from his diet.
Fitness and health professionals have urged Joe, 39, to remove the post claiming it could ‘trigger eating disorders’ which were shared with his 4.8million followers on Instagram detailing his journey to eradicate sugar from his diet. Documenting his ‘sugar free’ programme, Joe revealed he’d gone 11 weeks without sugar before making a “confession” that he’d been going through what he called a ‘relapse’ and dubbing it an ‘addictive substance.’
Earlier this month, [5 August] he shared a video where he said: “Got a confession to make, I’ve had a relapse.” He explained he was filming a celebrity special of Gladiators and was greeted by a “table full of sweets and chocolate”. He added: “I had a bit of fruit to begin with and I cracked and guess what it was that done me? It was a packet of Jaffa Cakes which I haven’t eaten for years.”
Joe became a national icon during the Covid lockdown sharing free exercise videos for children, PE With Joe. He has claimed sugar for him is a “daily battle” and appeared to demonise fruit. The recommended government guideline is to eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day.

He said: “Sugar is a really addictive substance and I’ve almost seen it like this, right; when I had that first bit of sugar – I’ve had a bit of a wobble since then – I’ve been eating brownies, loads of fruit.” He went on to list the fruit he’d eaten in a day before adding: “That ain’t normal.”
His comments have caused concern amongst industry professionals with fellow social media star, GP Dr Michael Mrozinski questioning how Joe has ‘not been cancelled’. He said: “You [Joe] should know better demonising a whole set of food groups. It could trigger people to have eating disorders.”
TikTok star Joshua Hills, ANutr MSc Nutritionist, also criticised Joe, he said: “I feel sorry for Joe Wicks because he clearly doesn’t have a positive relationship with food. And instead of working on it privately, he’s using social media to keep himself accountable and encouraging millions to do the same with cutting out sugar. He clearly has a poor relationship with sugar.
“I’m fed up with people that the public trust encouraging poor and very disordered eating habits. Acting like they’re extremely knowledgeable when it comes to nutrition.” Despite the criticism and pressure from fans commenting on his post urging him to remove them, Joe continued to share details of his sugar-free journey. Last week, Joe told his followers how to stay away from sugar. He said: “Most of my sugar binges are a response to stress or being tired. My brain craves it and when I start eating it I can’t stop until it’s gone. This isn’t a new thing in my life, I’ve always done it even as a child but now I’m understanding myself a bit more. I grew up in a very stressful environment and the cupboards were always full of sweets and chocolate so it started early for me. I can now catch the thought when I’m feeling this way and make a different choice.”

Joe – who is worth an estimated £50million – has built an empire on his diet and fitness content. He began in 2014, launching The Body Coach TV on YouTube, which now has 2.88 million subscribers. He’s published books including the Lean in 15 series, which broke records as the UK’s biggest selling diet book. He was awarded an MBE in the 2020 Birthday Honours List for services to fitness and charity.
However, his recent comments have proven problematic amongst experts including The Traitors star Dr Amos Ogunkoya, a hospital doctor and sports and exercise medicine specialist registrar.
He told the Mirror : “Sugar can certainly trigger powerful cravings, especially in its refined and ultra-processed forms. It stimulates the brain’s reward system and releases dopamine, which is similar to what happens with addictive substances. However, from a clinical standpoint, sugar isn’t classified as truly addictive in the way drugs or alcohol are. What we’re often seeing is habitual and emotional eating rather than physiological dependence.”
He added: “We need to be compassionate to Joe as, often people with problematic eating patterns may not have insight into their own biases and issues around food. Language like ‘relapse’ carries serious connotations and is usually used in the context of addiction or mental illness. Using it casually when talking about food can reinforce feelings of shame and failure, especially for people vulnerable to disordered eating. We should try not to moralise food.”
TV doctor Dr Amos weighed in(Image: dr_amoss/Instagram)
Dr Amos added: “Demonising fruit overlooks the bigger picture and risks turning people away from one of the healthiest things they could be eating.”
Meanwhile, Tom Quinn, Director of External Affairs at Beat, the UK’s leading eating disorder charity, said: “Unfortunately, it’s becoming very common to see details of restrictive diets being shared online. Eating disorders are complex mental illnesses which can be competitive in nature, so someone may well choose to copy what they see – or even eat less than the amount reported. If the diet information is shared by a public figure or someone working in the fitness industry, it can be particularly impactful.
“Those in the media industry should be aware the risks of making information about extremely restricted diets available to the public, and instead recognise the harmful impact this can have on people with eating disorders.

“Heavily restricting the amount of food you eat can be a warning sign of an eating disorder. Eating disorders are serious but they’re also treatable and making a full recovery is possible, so if you’re concerned about yourself or a loved one, please contact your GP at the very earliest opportunity.”
Katie Price has criticised her ex-partners for being “obsessed” with her in the wake of her public feuds with both Peter Andre and Alex Reid, which came to a head this week

Katie Price has spoken out about the intense scrutiny surrounding her life, hitting back at her ex-partners and insisting she is no longer willing to be “bullied or gaslighted”.
This week, a video emerged appearing to show Price counting large amounts of cash while seated beside her daughter Princess, 18, whom she shares with Peter Andre.
In the footage, which was released by Alex Reid, Price branded Andre’s wife Emily and their two children “irrelevant”. At one point, Princess asked whether her mother would be contributing to school fees, to which Price replied that her father could “sit on that”, while raising her middle finger.
She has recently been publicly feuding with her ex husband, Peter Andre(Image: Getty Images)
The video sparked an angry reaction from Andre, and sources close to him have said he was “shocked” by Price’s remarks.
“It’s not about the money,” one insider told The Mirror. “He was stunned that she would do this in front of their young child and say his young children are irrelevant. How could a mother do that about young children?”
The 46-year-old model and television personality addressed the ongoing headlines in the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show.
She told listeners: “It’s been full on but I want people to know. I own my s***. It’s very well documented. I’ve always said how I learned from my past. I’d always have a reaction to things and then it would spiral out of control and this and that.
Alex Reid has also threatened to “reveal the truth” about the model(Image: PA)
“As in spiral out of control – as in to make more headlines. I’m so at peace with everything – at peace. I don’t need to rise to people and that. What I say on my podcast is my opinion and what I feel and I don’t lie about anything. Nothing.
“Behind the scenes, obviously we’ve had things checked and everything’s in my lawyers’ hands now. I’m not being bullied or gaslighted anymore, from anybody. I find people from my past – to still go on about me, it’s like are they all that obsessed? Get on with your own life.”
A spokesperson for Price has said that the footage Reid shared of her counting cash was not new and had already been shared with her bankruptcy trustee, while maintaining that the money in the clip “did not belong to Katie”.
Price has faced ongoing financial issues over the past decade. She was declared bankrupt in 2019 over debts of £3.5 million and again in March last year for £761,994.
Reid is one of her creditors, and Price owes him £175,000 in damages and costs. Reid claimed this week that the resurfaced footage proved she had misled the public, saying: “It’s not about rumour, it’s about reality. After years of silence, the time has finally come to reveal all.”
Although she is currently facing controversy, Price told her podcast audience that she feels “at peace” and is more resilient than ever. On another recent episode, she spoke about her financial issues, sharing: “I’ve worked so hard to communicate and get rid of what caused all the trouble. I’m in control of everything now.”

Mastodon co-founder William Brent Hinds has died, aged 51, with tributes having been paid to the musician, who was previously the lead guitarist of the heavy metal band

Former Mastodon member William Brent Hinds has died aged 51. The musician, who was once the lead guitarist for the heavy metal band, reportedly died in a collision in the US.
Brent co-founded the band in 2000 with drummer Brann Dailor, guitarist Bill Kelliher and bassist Troy Sanders. The Grammy nominated group released numerous albums prior to Brent’s departure from the line-up in March.
The band have been among those paying tribute to its former member following the news that he died this week. Brent reportedly died in a crash in Atlanta last night.

It has been reported Brent’s motorcycle is said to have collided with an SUV near Boulevard, Atlanta, and he was rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive. The outlet reports that his death was confirmed by the Fulton County medical examiner’s office.
A medical report, obtained by the Sun US, reportedly said that he suffered a “fracture in the left leg along with multiple lacerations and abrasions”. The outlet added that medical records state: “Despite resuscitative efforts, the death was pronounced at 21: 28 hours”.
In a preliminary statement, the Atlanta Police Department said that officers “located an unresponsive male” who was involved in a collision last night, though have not named the individual. It continues: “The male appeared to be operating a Harley Davidson during the time of collision. Medical personnel pronounced the male deceased. The other driver involved, a female who occupied a BMW SUV remained on scene.
” The APD Accident Investigations Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances. Preliminary investigation indicates the male was traveling West on Boulevard. The female operating the BMW SUV failed to yield while turning left and collided into the male victim who was operating the Harley Davidson. The investigation remains active at this time. “
Tributes have been paid to Brent this week following the news of his death. One fan wrote on X:” Rest in Power Brent Hinds. Jam some Mastodon today. “Another said:” Damm, I loved his playing style and eccentricity, he left a mark. “
Mastodon said on Instagram:” We are in a state of unfathomable sadness and grief… last night Brent Hinds passed away as a result of a tragic accident. We are heartbroken, shocked, and still trying to process the loss of this creative force with whom we’ve shared so many triumphs, milestones, and the creation of music that has touched the hearts of so many.
“Our hearts are with Brent’s family, friends, and fans. At this time, we please ask that you respect everyone’s privacy during this difficult time. RIP Brent”.

A statement issued by the band’s former record label Relapse read: “Our hearts are broken with the news of Brent Hinds ‘ tragic passing. It is an understatement to say that Mastodon forever changed the course of Relapse’s history, for the absolute better.
” The records Mastodon released with Relapse are all time classics across any genre, and they would not sound the way they sound, without Brent. His larger than life personality was eclipsed only by his monstrous musicianship.
“Our love goes out to Brent’s friends and family, the rest of Mastodon and everyone else lucky enough to have had their lives changed by the music that Brent brought to the world. – Rennie Jaffe/Relapse Records”.
