Lorraine Kelly’s staggering weekly earnings unveiled amid brutal ITV daytime cuts

Despite ITV’s sweeping cuts to its daytime lineup and plans to halve Lorraine’s airtime from 2026, Lorraine Kelly’s production company continues to thrive financially

While ITV braces for major job losses and cuts across its daytime schedule, Lorraine Kelly remains one of its highest earners, pulling in around £13,000 a week last year.

The 65-year-old presenter’s financial success comes amid confirmation that her self-titled show will be cut to just 30 minutes a day starting in 2026, with ITV axing 220 jobs across Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning, and Loose Women.

Despite looming changes, filings from Lorraine’s company, Albatel Ltd, show her earnings remain strong. In 2024, the firm paid £135,504 in Corporation Tax, indicating income of roughly £677,520 which was up from £540,000 in 2022/23, when tax paid totaled £108,505.

Albatel Ltd is now valued at £4.2 million, with £3.3 million in cash reserves and £135,000 in investments, according to The Sun. It comes after Lorraine’s no-expense spared Channel 4 show was unveiled after the brutal ITV cuts.

It’s unclear how the format changes will impact her income, but the shift is significant. From January 2026, Good Morning Britain will be extended to 9:30am, replacing half an hour of Lorraine, which will now air only 30 weeks a year instead of year-round. On weeks when Lorraine is off-air, GMB will run until 10am.

Kevin Lygo, ITV’s managing director of media and entertainment, defended the shake-up: “Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust, as well as generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres.

“These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever.”

It comes as Lorraine is setting sail to Channel 4 with a big-budget travel show around Norway. The daytime host is jumping ship for a new travelogue exploring the land of the Vikings in the Scandinavian country.

Home of the Northern Lights, the 65-year-old will tour the stunning natural beauty it has to offer, across mountains, glaciers and fjords in Lorraine Kelly’s Norwegian Odyssey.

Glasgow-born Lorraine got her big break at TV-am as an on-screen reporter covering Scottish news in 1984. She’s fronted shows for ITV and STV, including Good Morning Britain, GMTV, This Morning and Daybreak before landing her own show.

Last year the channel celebrate her glittering career with special Lorraine Kelly: 40 Unforgettable Years, featuring famous colleagues and fans like Piers Morgan, Brian Cox and Craig David.

Looking back at her four-decade journey in the industry, Lorraine said: “I have never had a career plan and I still don’t. I’ve worked hard and I’ve been lucky. I love what I do and I have a wonderful production team and crew.

“As a freelance you live from one yearly contract to the next and you never know what the future holds, but I found my niche. Live morning TV suits me and I love it.”

Who is Tom Grennan’s wife Danniella Carraturo – how they met and ‘grovelling’ reconciliation

Tom Grennan has been in a relationship with Danniella Carraturo for several years, with them having met on a night out before temporarily splitting up during the Covid pandemic

BRIT Award nominee Tom Grennan has spoken about his relationship with his wife Danniella Carraturo on occasion. It’s included him having spoken about the moment that the couple met and his partner being inspiration for music.

Tom, 30, is said to have met pilates instructor Danniella one evening in 2020 and they got engaged two years later. They went on to tie the knot in a wedding ceremony held last year and he’s now announced that he’s become a parent.

The singer-songwriter has said that he knew Danniella was “the one” from the first time they met. It’s been revealed that they met in an elevator, with him speaking about the encounter on the Kyle and Jackie O Show last year.

Tom shared on the radio show that they “bonded” over a cigarette during a night out. He recalled them saying ‘hello’ to each other in the lift whilst both “heading to the smoking area”. He added: “Bonded over a ciggie and that was it.”

He said that he “misread” the situation though, with him saying: “I leant in for a kiss and she was like ‘what the hell are you doing?’ […] I was just like ‘well if you’re not gonna kiss me, you might as well put your phone number in my phone’.”

Tom, who said that he felt there was “something” about her, shared that they began a romance but were together “not long” before splitting up. He suggested that Covid-19 lockdown was a factor and that he had not been “ready”.

He recalled Danniella later posting a photo of herself, which prompted him to get back in touch. Tom said he messaged her saying “enjoy your day” and described her as “stunning”. He added: “And then I had to do some grovelling, basically.”

Tom once teased to Rolling Stone Australia/NZ that his single Remind Me, which was released in 2022, had been inspired by Danniella, whom he called his “best mate”. He said: “It was about reconnecting with somebody special.”

The musician told the outlet in an interview three years ago: “Now we’re back together, and I’m in love. She’s amazing, somebody who has changed my life completely.”

That same year, it was announced that Tom and Danniella had got engaged. Then, in June 2022, shortly after his proposal, the couple were seen at Wimbledon, where his fiancée appeared to be sporting an engagement ring.

More recently, Tom and Danniella tied the knot in May last year. The couple exchanged vows in a ceremony in Majorca that was attended by family and friends. The reception was held in an outdoor area at a venue on the island.

Some guests shared photos from the nuptials on social media at the time. One attendee wrote in a post that there had been a “euphoric atmosphere”. Another shared that they were in “awe” over the couple’s wedding celebrations.

Tom later confirmed he had got married and shared a photo of the newlyweds embracing in a field. He was seen in a black suit, whilst the bride wore a white dress. Beside a black heart emoji, he wrote in the post last year: “Life starts now.”

Weeks after the wedding, during his appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, Tom revealed that he wrote Danniella a song as his wedding speech. He confirmed on the radio show at the time that it had been an unreleased song.

He said: “I thought my speech would be awful because I’m actually dyslexic. I’m rubbish at writing and speaking publicly.” Tom recalled telling his wife before the music began: “I can’t really talk as well as I would love but here goes …”

Earlier tonight, Tom shared that he’s become a parent in a post celebrating his album Everywhere I Went, Led Me to Where I Didn’t Want to Be having topped the charts in the UK. It marks his third consecutive chart-topping album.

Alongside a series of photos, one of which showed a baby holding his award for the achievement, he wrote: “From the kid who never thought he’d make it, to three consecutive number one albums, joining an esteemed club to do so with the likes of The Beatles & Oasis – words will never be enough for the gratitude I feel.

“To now be stepping into fatherhood at the same time is the greatest gift I could ever imagine. Music gave me purpose, but being a dad gives me everything. Here’s to the past that built me, the present that grounds me, and the future I can’t wait for!

“Thanks to all the fans for once again making my dreams a reality, I really couldn’t do it without you all. It’s going to be amazing to see so many of you on the upcoming tour in September. Honestly I’m so excited for what’s to come, we are just getting started.”

Charlotte Dawson mortified as son walks in on naughty photoshoot as fans slam star

Reality TV star Charlotte Dawson has shared her mortification after her son stumbled upon her mid-video in an awkward situation

Charlotte Dawson has been targeted by online trolls after her eldest son, Noah, unexpectedly walked in on her while she was filming an advertisement for Peacocks lingerie in their kitchen.

The 32-year-old was caught off guard, mid-performance, lip-syncing to Lady Marmalade and striking provocative poses in a baby blue lingerie set.

She even had her leg up on the kitchen counter and was holding a large chocolate bar. Noah, who is four-years-old, entered the room at that moment and appeared unimpressed with his mum’s behaviour. It comes after Charlotte revealed her shock health battle as she ‘still looks pregnant’ three months after her baby’s birth.

“Noah was like pottering around because he was off”, Charlotte revealed on her podcast, Charlotte’s Naughty Corner. “So I was doing part of the lingerie in the kitchen, on the kitchen side and stuff”.

“Then Noah sees me in the kitchen, and he goes, ‘ Mummy, mummy. What are you doing? What are you doing, mummy? And he started getting really freaked out”, the mum-of-three explained.

Charlotte subsequently posted a snap of Noah’s reaction on her Instagram account, with the youngster’s dismay clearly visible across his scowling expression.

“Noah saw me stood on the booth like this when I’d just filmed my video for @peacocks_fashion and said ‘ Mummy what are you doing up there, wearing that and eating chocolate? ‘ I felt so embarrassed… fully in the naughty corner this week”.

Followers in the comments section of the Instagram post were swift to voice their opinions on Charlotte’s mishap, with numerous people slating her for allowing her son to witness her in such a scenario.

“So when I stand up there eating chocolate posing it’s naughty but when she’s doing it she classes it as working”, one sighed. “Put some clothes on mummy and give me that chocolate”! another guessed.

Someone else wrote: “Love you Char but this is weird. Your son shouldn’t have to witness this type of thing. I’m all for body positivity….. but come on.”

Mum-of-three Charlotte has had a busy few years and it’s no wonder she and fiancé Matt Sarsfield are yet to walk down the aisle.

Charlotte got engaged to rugby league star Matt, 33, in 2020 and soon after started their family as they welcomed their first child together, Noah, in 2021.

Two years later couple’s second child, Jude, was welcomed into the world. And, just three months ago, Charlotte gave birth to their third child, a baby girl named Gigi, completing their beautiful family unit.

When asked how she’s finding life as a mum of three children under the age of five, Charlotte told The Mirror: “It’s absolute carnage. But it’s a beautiful chaos. They’re my absolute world.

” I finally got my little girl and the two boys absolutely dote on her. It’s amazing, but really hard. Going from two to three is like having 10 kids, because you’re outnumbered.

“Two we can manage, because there are two pairs of hands. But I think it’s going to be worth it because when they’re older they’re going to be playing together, they’re going to be best friends”.

No wonder Charlotte and hubby-to-be Matt are yet to set a date for their wedding, despite being engaged for almost five years. When asked when she and Matt plan to marry, Charlotte told us: “Maybe when it gets a bit easier with the kids.

” I’d love Gigi to walk down the aisle in a little dress, so I think I might have to wait. I’m gonna have to anyway. I can’t start planning a wedding now. Jesus, I can’t even sort my own life out. “

Davina McCall makes marriage admission in rare insight into Michael Douglas romance

EXCLUSIVE: TV presenter Davina McCall has shared an update on her relationship with partner Michael Douglas admitting that she’s in no rush to marry him

She is well known for hosting dating shows, helps set up friends in real life and is a self confessed romantic. But Davina McCall says she is unlikely to marry again as she wouldn’t change a thing about her relationship with Michael Douglas.

The TV host is fronting bold new dating series, Stranded On Honeymoon for the BBC. But when I cheekily point out it might be time for Davina to go on her third honeymoon – and her first in 25 years, she laughs and shakes her head.

“We go on honeymoons all the time, but without getting married,” she says of her and celebrity hairdresser and presenter Michael. Yeah, we’re in the honeymoon period even after all these years, exactly. I am really, really…I couldn’t be more happy. And sometimes there’s an idea of, why change anything?” It comes after Davina made a brave death admission after undergoing major brain surgery.

“But I am also clearly not the only person to be asking her the question, as the pair have now been together for more than six years. This reminds me a lot of when I was 30,” Davina adds.

“Every time you go out with anybody, everybody’s like, ‘Are you going to get married? Are you going to get married?’.

“It’s not important anymore. I am just really happy, and I am just so happy to be so happy. And after the operation, everything is rose-tinted. I am so appreciative to be here. You know what I mean? It’s unbelievable.”

Davina was married twice and is mum to Holly, 23, Tilly, 21, and 18-year-old Chester.

Her last marriage to Matthew ended after 17 years and she went public with her new relationship with Michael in 2019. The one constant has been her continuing to be on TV screens in a wide variety of shows.

Davina still has a zest for life that oozes out of her on screen and when she talks to you, and with more reason than ever as she suggested.

By her own admission she was “very honest about having a brain tumour” last year and shared the process from the diagnosis to her November operation to remove it, and finally the all clear earlier this year. It’s definitely gave her a slightly new outlook on life and even more enthusiasm for what she does – if that’s possible.

“I love my job. I run to work. I love the people that I work with, the crews that I’ve been lucky enough to be involved with. I mean, I’ve got some really good friends now that I’ve met through work. I am so lucky to do something I love so much.

Michael Douglas and Davina McCall

“The interest gets greater as you get older because I think as I get older, I appreciate it even more. We were just saying earlier how funny it is that I used to say it like 48, 49, “Oh, TV will retire me at 50’. And here I am at 57 and I’m still here.

“I think Cilla Black really changed things for women in TV. And I think a lot has changed and I now look at all the other female TV presenters and hopefully me, Jo Wiley, Zoe Ball, we’re all in the same boat together and we’re all still going, still relevant. I mean, they’re so cool, those two.”

Which brings us nicely onto to her new TV project. Stranded On Honeymoon Island features some speed dating before six lucky couples get matched up and take a leap of faith for love.

They are taken to the Philippines for a wedding and then a honeymoon on a remote beach to see if they have potentially found a partner for life.

Michael Douglas and Davina McCall
Davina is happy not marrying Michael (Image: Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images)

“I am picky about what I do, and I do turn down lots of work. So this had to have something different to it and it didn’t disappoint. That was what was so nice about it.

“They see who they’re marrying at the wedding, and then they go to their stranded coves. And they are on six separate coves on an island, but they can’t see anybody. They’re completely alone.

“And then they can meet up after a while to meet the other couples. Everybody comes together. But then that causes its own set of problems as well because it’s like, ‘Oh, I remember you from speed dating’.

“So it’s really good. It’s gripping. It will make you laugh a lot. It’ll also make you cross your legs and want to pick up a cushion and put it in front of your face. But it’ll also make you cry because it’s really cute at times. I think the other thing that I loved at the end of it was that we’d all learnt something.”

Davina, who has previously host lots of other datings shows including Streetmate, My Mum, Your Dad, says she learned some important things about love from her late father.

Davina has shared an update on her relationship
Davina has shared an update on her relationship(Image: Hoda Davaine/Dave Benett/Getty Images)

She adds: “I do love ‘love’ and my dad, rest in peace, said something brilliant to me once, and he said, ‘In order for love to last and survive and be healthy, it has to have four things.

“So there has to be friendship. You have to like, not just love, but like the person that you’re with, that they are a person that you could just be friends with.

“And carnal love because you need to fancy them if it’s going to be a relationship, not just a friendship. And then he said, trust. You need to trust them and then you also need to respect them. And if any of those things are lacking, love can’t flourish. And I think he was absolutely spot on.”

Davina will also be hosting more Long Lost Family on ITV, she has her own podcast and a new book on the way. Success is almost guaranteed in some form but I wondered if her fears of some things not working are now lessened after her tumour helped her to put life in perspective. I think it is fair to say she no longer looks at the TV ratings too much.

“I mean, I’ve presented some turkeys and I’ve presented some shows that I absolutely loved. I did one for W Channel called The Davina Hour, and I ran to work. I loved hosting that show. No one watched it. I don’t know why.

“I loved My Mum, Your Dad. It didn’t get picked up for another series. And I don’t know why that happened, but it happened.

Article continues below

“But it doesn’t hurt my feelings because all I ever can do with any TV show that I’ve done, is know that they were good shows, but for whatever reason it didn’t work. And I know that this is a great show. I know we’ve delivered as a production company together, a brilliant show, so I’m just proud of it.”

Stranded On Honeymoon Island starts on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer on Wednesday September 3 at 9pm.

Miriam Margolyes issues health update after fears she was ‘at death’s door’

Miriam Margolyes, who has appeared in the Harry Potter film series and Call the Midwife, has now shared an update on her health in an interview published this week

Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes has shared an update on her health. The actor’s latest comments, which included discussion about her mobility, come after she dismissed the suggestion that she was at “death’s door” just last month.

Miriam, 84, has spoken about her health over the years, like discussing her experience with spinal stenosis, which is said to include limb pain and weakness among the potential symptoms. The BAFTA winner, who also has arthritis, has previously shared that she now uses mobility aids.

Last year, Miriam predicted that she had up to six years left to live and has now shared an update on her health in an interview published today. She spoke about her life ahead of releasing memoir the Little Book Of Miriam next month.

Whilst speaking to the Daily Mail, Miriam expressed regret over not exercising when she was younger. The former Call the Midwife cast member said that she has “let her body down” and suggested that she hadn’t taken care of it.

She said: “I’ve let my body down. I haven’t taken care of it. I have to walk with a walker now.” Miriam went on to tell the outlet that she wishes that she had “done exercise” in previous years, before further sharing her thoughts.

Miriam described it as the “most ghastly waste of time” but she said in the interview that it keeps people going. The performer then concluded the discussion about her own health by suggesting that she had been “foolish”.

It comes amid her return to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with the show Margolyes and Dickens: More Best Bits. Prior to its launch, a video shared by organiser Fane Productions showed Miriam assuring that she was “very much alive”.

In the video, which was posted on social media last month, she was seen saying that fans “might have seen” speculation that she was “at death’s door”. Miriam however then dismissed the suggestion in the video message at the time.

She was seen teasing in the clip that she was “raring to go” for her latest show at the annual festival in Scotland. She was heard saying in the video: “B******s. I’m very much alive and raring to go to the Edinburgh Fringe this year.”

Miriam has previously suggested that she has up to six years left to live. She made the prediction in an interview with the Telegraph that was published last year. She spoke about wanting to continue performing until her death.

She said: “When you know that you haven’t got long to live – and I’m probably going to die within the next five or six years, if not before … I’m loath to leave behind performing.” She went on to describe her job as “such a joy”.

Miriam told the outlet that she finds the physical impact of her body aging to be “limiting” and “depressing”. She shared at the time: “I want to be able to play parts that aren’t just sitting in wheelchairs, but I’m not strong enough.”
