Adam Collard reveals terrifying moment he was in ‘unbearable pain’ as Laura Woods called 999

After being left “biting and screaming into a pillow” in “uncontrollable” pain before losing all feeling in his leg, Love Island star Adam Collard was taken to a hospital and underwent surgery.

As a result of his partner Laura Woods’ “uncontrollable pain,” Adam Collard revealed the moment he was forced to call an ambulance.

The former Love Island star, 29, revealed yesterday he had been hospitalised and had back surgery. Adam shared photos of himself dressed in a hospital gown and laying in a hospital bed.

Adam, the couple’s fiancée Laura gave birth to their first child in January, has revealed more about the circumstances that led to him eventually leaving in “unacceptable pain” and “biting and screaming into a pillow” as his wife-to-be dialed 999.

In a series of lengthy Instagram Story posts, Adam explained how he had began experiencing a ‘tweak’ before it descended into ‘another level of pain and discomfort’. After seeking help from physios and osteopaths, he was told the pain was “probably a bit a bit “discy” and was also causing me to have sciatica”.

Adam was given a strategy to “back to basics,” eliminate stress, strengthen weak points, and take painkillers to lessen inflammation. He explained that the plan involved a “yo-yo of improving a little bit, then go backwards again and be in excruciating pain.” The former reality star “absolutely followed the rehabilitation plan,” leaving no stone unturned.

Adam remarked on how persistent the pain was, “To the point where I couldn’t sit in a chair without pain.” It either sat flat or sat. Driving the car was a good 9/10 pain, and Leo’s in-bed tingling was unbearable because of the lumbar spine’s slump position. Not ideal for a mother with a newborn… which both physically and mentally affected me.

He was given painkillers to “help the pain and knock me out,” but it meant he had to be unable to look after his son Leo in the evenings and would be in agonizing pain once more if he “sip” taking them.

After that, Adam explained that after doing extensive research, we decided to push for spinal injections and nerve root blockers to try to relieve me in some way because it eventually became difficult for me to put on my own socks while I was still trying to work out in the gym.

On the third day of taking the jabs, he claimed they were “amazing” and that he had made “astonishing progress.” I wrote a long-term plan for the next six months on how to train around this and build back up, Adam added. “After two weeks of serious profanity and being super content, I was writing a long term plan for the next six months. Strength, a restricted lowerbody, pilates, and core

However, sadly, one day, he was left in agonizing pain, forcing Laura, 37, to call for assistance. After working for 30 minutes, Adam explained, “I was driving home last Wednesday and by the time I was home I could barely walk inside.” After an hour, I lost the sensation in my right leg, which extended to my toes, making it impossible for me to bear. I was biting and screaming into my pillow in pain. I am unable to raise it from the hip. which made Laura need to call an ambulance because it was frightening.

After speaking with my specialist who administered my original spinal injections, he returned me for an MRI to examine the disc’s disc differences from a month prior. My right leg no longer feels like I can move because the disc was ruptured, almost completely compressing the siatic nerve.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Adam revealed his health woes

To shave the discs down and release the nerve, we then decided to have a Lumbar Decompression and Discectomy procedure. Adam continued, “Surgery went well, I’ve already got the feeling back in my leg which is great now it’s just sore from the wound on my back.”

My surgeon claimed that after cutting in, he realized the discs were “very bad.” One of them had cracked, causing a push-in to my sciatic nerve. The real work begins now, with a slow buildup, full recovery, and being diligent about my training for the next 12 months, and possibly forever, in some cases.

He then thanked those who had supported him in his message. Thank you to my friends and family, my friends, and all of you for your contributions over the past few months, Adam wrote in a letter.

At the end of his post, Adamant to warn against letting the medical setback take hold, defiantly declared, “Now it’s Comeback SZN..”

Yesterday, Amy took to Instagram, sharing a past snap of herself in the hospital getting a scan done. She said: “Just seen pic in an article online. This was my scan, nearly a year ago.

I’m smiling there, but I’m so embarrassed that I’ve been so long since. The first day of a month! Then Amy used the opportunity to ask her followers a crucial health question.

  • If you’re not pregnant or nursing, your nipple may have blood in it.
  • Your breast, chest, or armpit may have swelling or bumps.

  • Changes to your nipple’s shape or appearance, such as turning inward (inverted nipple) or developing a rash (it might appear as eczema)

Guidance from the NHS also adds: “Checking your breasts or chest regularly helps you learn what looks and feels normal for you. This makes it easier to notice any changes that could be a sign of a condition such as breast cancer.

“About once a month, you should try to check your breasts or chest.” The NHS issued a health alert to people between the ages of 50 and 71, urging them to get a mammogram, just days after Amy’s health alert was issued.

Women are typically invited to these breast cancer screenings from the age of 71 up until the third of the year. Trans men, trans women, and non-binary people are among the population who are frequently contacted for screenings, though some may need to get in touch with their GP first.

Katie Price has taken a swipe at Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa after the duo formed a strong bond in the ITV Celebrity Big Brother house despite the Dance Moms star having a fiance

Katie Price has made a fresh dig at Celebrity Big Brother best pals Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa. The former glamour model, 46, watched on with the rest of the country as the duo formed a formidable bond in the ITV house.

However, Katie, who was previously linked to the former Love Island man, 32, in a texting scandal, has criticised the pair’s behaviour. Speaking on The Katie Price Show podcast alongside her sister this week, Katie said: “Maybe JoJo did fall in love with Chris, dunno, they were very close in there. I felt sorry for the girlfriend.”

It comes after JoJo sensationally dumped fiance Kath Ebbs at the after party of the show. The Australian had flown in to be at the final episode to greet JoJo on her exit.

Meanwhile, Chris and JoJo were spotted enjoying their time out of the house together, but continue to call their relationship “platonic”.

Katie had previously been caught in a situation where Chris allegedly sent her “flirty texts” while dating Olivia Attwood in 2017. At the time, Olivia remained fiercely loyal to her then-boyfriend with Chris also publicly slamming the rumours.

Katie chatted with Olivia on her So Right It’s Wrong podcast last year and Olivia said: “I was dating Chris off the back of the show and I went on Loose Women.”

Katie then added: “Chris Hughes was messaging me and he was with you [Olivia], and we were at the NTA Awards and I remember seeing you. And because I’m such an honest person and a girls girl, I was like ‘I’m going to have to tell her and it’s true’.

“I was like ‘there’s so much to tell you’, and I was showing you them. I said ‘if you don’t want to believe me, don’t, but I’ve got no reason to lie to you at all’.”

Katie went on: “I remember we were at some different awards and him and Kem were on stage and I put my hand up and was like ‘show us all the texts then Chris’.”

Reflecting on the drama, Olivia shared why she had chosen to believe Chris over Katie at the time, as she said: “You know when you confront someone about something, and they put on such a big reaction? His reaction was so hysterical.”

“I was so taken back by the reaction that I was like, ‘Surely if it was true, he couldn’t be getting this upset.’ I always had a question mark on it, and as the weeks went on, I kind of thought – other things happened – we weren’t meant to be together.”

Harry Potter fans gobsmacked as actor who played Crabbe looks so different nowadays

In honour of International Harry Potter Day, we’ve looked at the cast now compared to when they were filming the movies in the early 2000s and some members have changed significantly

Harry Potter fans have compared the cast then and now(Image: Warner Bros)

Harry Potter fans have taken a look at some of the cast members when they were filming the hit movie series compared to now and all said the same thing. Today (Friday, May 2) marks International Harry Potter Day, founded by David Cameron, the Prime Minister at the time in 2012.

It was declared an official international holiday to honour the work of J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books which were later adapted into movies, starting with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001. As it is International Harry Potter Day, it is fitting to look back at some of the stars of the films.

A TikTok account called Harry Potter Lore posted a video on the platform featuring Jamie Waylett (Vincent Crabbe), Josh Herdman (Gregory Goyle), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory).

But it was one cast member that really caught people’s attention. Many fans in the comment section thought Waylett now looks like American rapper and singer Post Malone.

One fan said: “First dude turned into Post Malone”. Another humorously asked: “Since when was Post Malone in Harry Potter”?

Article continues below

A third echoed: “Why does Crabbe look like Post Malone now”? A fourth commented: “Young Post Malone in Harry Potter”?

A fifth chimed in: “The first one became Post Malone”? The TikTok clip includes a picture of Waylett, now 35-years-old, dressed in his Hogwarts uniform in 2003.

In the Harry Potter series he played Crabbe, son of a Death Eater and a member of Slytherin House who was part of Draco Malfoy’s gang. His role in Harry Potter is his only film role to date and he featured in six of the eight movies.

Despite having the world at his feet, his life took a dark turn that seems to have put a halt to his acting career.

After being caught growing cannabis plants in his home, he lost his role in the popular television series in 2009. His time on screen came to an end with a sentence that included 120 hours of community service.

Even worse was yet to come. After being found guilty of violent disorder when he swigged from a bottle of champagne stolen during the London riots, he was sentenced to two years in prison. Despite being cleared of intending to destroy or damage property, he was pictured with a petrol bomb.
