Hollywood actor Gerard Depardieu found guilty of sexual assault on 2021 film set

Gerard Depardieu has been found guilty of sexually assaulting two women on a 2021 film set. The French actor, 76, who had roles in over 200 movies and wasn’t present as the verdict was being read out, was convicted by the Paris Correctional Court of groping two women while filming Les Volets Verts (The Green Shutters) in 2021.

His victims had behind-the-scenes roles on the film set. Both victims, a 34-year-old assistant producer referred to as Sarah and Amélie, 54, a set designer, were scared to speak out about the assault at the time and said they were intimidated by the actor.

“I was petrified”, one of the women, a set designer called Amelie, said. Amelie told the court the actor trapped her between his legs when she was trying to get past him in a corridor.

He then ran his hands over her body. Amelie said: “He terrified me – he looked like a madman.”

The two women said the star first used vulgar and explicit language towards them to abuse them before sexually assaulting them by grabbing them and running his hands over their bodies. The court heard he made crude sexual advances towards the victims.

Barrister Carine Durrieu Diebolt, who was representing the set designer, said Amelie was typical of victims who were ‘afraid to speak out’. Ms Durrieu Diebolt said: “These women are all technicians, doing minor jobs in the film industry.

“There’s a risk of reprisals. They are afraid of speaking, of being blacklisted, of being viewed as troublemakers in the workplace.”

Depardieu claimed he didn’t even know what sexual assault was. Depardieu had denied the allegations made against him and previously received support from the likes of French president Emmanuel Macron.

He was previously described as a ‘sex attacker’ who ‘preys on the weak’ by a female lawyer at his trial when he denied the charges against him.

It comes after French veteran film star Fanny Ardant spoke out in his defence. Barrister Durrieu Diebolt said: “He didn’t grope Fanny Ardant. He wouldn’t have done that to Fanny Ardant. Mr Depardieu is strong with the weak and weak with the strong.”

Depardieu was today believed to be filming with Ardant in Portugal.

Durrieu Diebolt called the case a ‘French Me Too, and said other women would have pressed charges against the controversial actor if it hadn’t been for the French statute of limitations, which prevents cases dating back more than a decade from being prosecuted.

She said: “If not for that, there would have been 20 women instead of two in court. Perhaps you consider that he’s a great actor and you like his films, and you don’t see him as a sexual attacker, but he is also a man of wealth.”

He has previously been accused publicly or via formal complaints of misconduct by over 20 women, but no other case has gone to court. Some were dropped due to lack of evidence.

As part of a separate case, the actor has been, since December, 16, 2020, indicted over allegations of rape and sexual assault filed in 2018. Depardieu was also accused by 13 women of sexually inappropriate behaviour in a report published by French investigative news website Médiapart in April 2023.

He will also be standing trial again later this year after being charged with raping actress Charlotte Arnould. She accused him, who is a friend of her parents, of raping her at his mansion in Paris.

Katie Price reveals real reason for Peter Andre split and makes jaw-dropping claim

Katie Price revealed the real reason for the demise of her relationship with Peter Andre. The duo fell head over heels for each other on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004 and viewers watched as the duo flirted, wrestled and fall in love with one another. After leaving the jungle, the two were inseparable and secretly got engaged in May of the same year.

They tied the knot in September 2005 and welcomed Junior and Princess Andre. Their whirlwind romance soon fell apart and they divorced in 2009. In a new chat with Paul Brunson for his podcast, We Need To Talk, Katie revealed the real reason their relationship came to a shock end.

Peter believed she had an affair with her dressage rider

According to the Mucky Mansion star, Peter believed she had an affair with her dressage rider. She shut down the claims and told Celebs Go Dating expert Paul: “I’ve never slept with him.

“I just kept my horse there, and I was happy keeping my horse there, and he was married. But when me and Pete split, because he used to keep saying, that’s it. I’ve had enough. I’ve had enough. It got to a point where I went well f**king divorce me. And I remember the day, because then I flew to the Maldives with the kids.

“That day, I’m at the airport, it’s all on Sky News, it wasn’t mutual at all. And then I redone a statement saying I don’t want to split with Pete, it’s Pete that’s splitting with me. Until this day, me and Pete have never sat down and spoken about it.”

At the time of their split, Peter claimed he was “absolutely gutted” after Katie took their kids back to the Maldives villa where they’d spent their 2005 honeymoon.

“Being apart from my kids is just breaking my heart,” he cried to the Daily Star at the time. “It’s destroying me – I’m absolutely gutted.”

And while speaking to Paul, former glamour model Katie revealed they manage the kids via lawyers. “I’ve never sat down with him, we probably would’ve sorted it out but we were kept apart,” she explained.

Katie said it’s ‘the most difficult thing’ to co-parent as she added: “But I realised you get to know what people are really like, and I’ve had it tough. But yeah, it is sad.”

Before the break-up, both parties confessed to having jealous rows, making no secret of their marital bickering on their reality TV show. However, few fans were convinced it was enough to derail them.

Meanwhile, Katie has previously admitted that the separation hadn’t been her choice. “Pete is the love of my life and my life. We have children together, and I am devastated and disappointed by his decision to separate and divorce me as I married him for life,” Katie told The Mirror at the time.

“This is not what I want, and the decision has been taken out of my hands. I will not comment further or do any interviews regarding the separation, but I will always love my Pete.”

Kim Kardashian was in a state of “serious terror” when armed gunmen burst into her hotel suite in 2016, a court has been told. A group of pensioners dubbed the ‘grandpa robbers’ by French media are on trial in Paris charged with stealing the mum-of-four’s jewels during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.

Hundreds of extra police and gendarmes were mobilised around the historic Palais de Justice in the centre of the French capital, where the 44-year-old American reality TV star was due on Tuesday afternoon.

She is the lead civil party speaking on behalf of the prosecution in the trial of nine men and one woman who allegedly made up the gang behind the armed attack in 2016.

In the terrifying robbery, the masked gang, whose ages range from 35 to 78, bound and gagged the SKIMS founder, 44, before stealing £7.5 million of jewellery, which was never recovered. Kim’s engagement ring from her then-husband, Kanye West, was among the items taken. Hotel receptionist, Abderrahmane Ouatiki, 48, who was handcuffed and forced at gunpoint to lead two armed robbers to Kim’s hotel room, told the court: “She was terrified, in a state of hysteria.”

Ouatiki said that when the men burst into the star’s bedroom, Kim, who will testify on Tuesday (May 13) began screaming that she was a mother. “She was in serious terror; it was unbearable to see a woman in that type of distress,” he told the Paris court.

Ouatiki, who is Algerian, was working alone the night of the robbery on the reception desk of an exclusive apartment building in the French capital, known as a ‘no address’ site, where the rich and famous visiting Paris often rented the swanky suites.

Ouatiki said that after 2am he saw three masked men “with police jackets on” approach the glass door to reception and gesture to him to open up. Thinking they were police officers, he opened the door.

“They pushed me to my knees and said: ‘We’re here for the money’,” he told the court. He said they handcuffed him and held another gun to his neck as they asked him: “Where is the rapper’s wife?” He knew that meant Kim.

The robbers took Ouatiki in the lift with them to Kim’s apartment, he told the court. As they approached her bedroom, Ouatiki said Kardashian called out “Hello? Hello?” thinking it might be her older sister Kourtney Kardashian returning from a nightclub.

He said the robbers burst into the room and roughly pushed Kim.

Ouatiki said The Kardashians star was shouting and hysterical. Concerned the lead robber was “very nervous, unstable, aggressive”, Ouatiki said he felt he had to “calm things down and contain it” so he shouted at Kim to “shut up!”.

He said the robbers were asking in French for money. Ouatiki, still with a gun held at his head, tried to translate. Kim said she had “a thousand” – either in dollars or euros. He said she gave the robbers the ring that was on a bedside table. She then nodded towards a Louis Vuitton jewellery box, the robbers allegedly opened it and tipped its valuable contents into two bags.

Kim was then roughly pushed on to the bed by the lead robber who tied her hands and feet and put black tape over her mouth, Ouatiki said.

The lead judge asked Ouatiki if he thought Kim feared for her life He said: “Yes.” He said he also feared he would die.

Ten suspects, whose ages range from 35 to 78, are on trial until 23 May. Some are accused of aiding in the organisation of the robbery. Eight of the accused deny any involvement.

They include Aomar Aït Khedache, 69, and the alleged ringleader, who has publicly admitted kidnapping and robbing Ms Kardashian.

The other gang member who has confessed is Yunnis Abbas, 72, who has written a book called I kidnapped Kim Kardashian.

The trial continues, and verdicts are expected towards the end of May.

Who is the Liver King’s wife? Meet dentist turned ‘Liver Queen’ Barbara Johnson

Netflix has just dropped a new documentary on highly controversial fitness influencer

Netflix has just released a new documentary on the highly controversial fitness influencer the Liver King, and it’s not for the faint-hearted.

The TikToker gained popularity by promoting an extreme raw meat diet and a so-called ‘ancestral’ lifestyle that involved reverting to a primal way of life and consuming a lot of liver. However, he faced public backlash when it was revealed that his chiselled physique – which he claimed was solely due to the lifestyle he promoted – was actually assisted by steroid use.

Today (May 13), Untold: The Liver King premiered on the platform where the Liver King himself (real name Brian Johnson) discusses his public downfall and his future plans. It also includes interviews with his family, friends and those who worked alongside him to establish his brand.

The documentary synopsis reads: “He built a supplement empire by devouring raw meat on social media. And he had the muscles to prove it. But really, how did the Liver King get so huge?”

In one scene that’s not for the squeamish, viewers witness a typical family day out for the Johnsons, which involves slaughtering a bull before tearing out and eating its organs with their bare hands. Brian has two sons, Rad and Stryker, whom he shares with wife Barbara Johnson, reports Surrey Live.

Barbara, also known as The Liver Queen, is a prominent figure in the documentary. In one scene, she candidly expresses her belief that her husband should have kept his steroid use private. But what more is there to know about the wife, mother and entrepreneur?

Who is the Liver Queen?

The Liver King’s official website reveals that Barbara’s birth name is Bozena. Born in Poland, she relocated to America when she was 15 and went on to establish a successful career in dentistry, even owning her own practice.

She has since retired from her dental career and now manages Krowa Beauty, an edible, animal-based beauty brand, with her husband. She also has a significant social media presence, boasting 172,000 followers on Instagram at the time of writing.

Barbara met Brian while snowboarding in Park City, Utah, and they were engaged just two months later. They exchanged vows four months after their initial meeting in a ceremony on the island of Nevis.

Like her husband, The Liver Queen follows the ‘ancestral’ lifestyle. Her daily diet includes consuming three ounces of testicles per day with hot sauce, having one ounce at breakfast, one for dinner and another as a snack before bed.

After months of anticipation, Bad Bunny is finally coming to the UK to celebrate the success of his latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos. Three days after tickets became available to the general public, ticket website Live Nation revealed that the show had sold out, but not without sparking some controversy regarding ticket prices.

The Puerto Rican singer will make his UK return after eight years, touring in a venue that’s 27 times bigger than his initial visit in 2018. Announcing an initial date on June 27, 2026, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the singer added an additional date on June 28, 2026.

With Bad Bunny’s fame and reputation, it wasn’t a surprise that both shows at Tottenham Hotspur Station sold out within minutes. However, many fans were left disappointed over the staggering prices, with general floor admission tickets priced at £242.20, with “premium seats” costing £545.

Bad Bunny’s first performance in the UK was held at the O2 Forum Kentish Town on August 4, 2018, during his La Nueva Religión tour. The concert was originally scheduled for the O2 Academy Brixton, but was moved due to the high demand for tickets. Since then, despite his popularity in the UK, the artist hasn’t returned – until now.

Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour is set to visit multiple continents, including South America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. Despite his popularity in North America, the singer has entirely skipped the US.
