Zara McDermott opens up on ’emotional day’ as she shares cryptic post

Zara McDermott took to social media to reveal she has had an “emotional day”.

Her cryptic Instagram post on Wednesday showed a snap of an ocean sunset. It comes as she continues her trip in Thailand where she is filming her latest documentary. She shared on the upload: “Having an emotional day. This sunset made me feel better.”

Her words come just hours after former TOWIE star Pete Wicks teased his best pal – and Zara’s ex – Sam Thompson for “crying” over Zara. The duo were speaking on their Staying Relevant podcast when Pete made the dig.

They were discussing Zara and Sam’s last TV appearance together before their shock split in December. The former couple appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show to take part in the Midnight Gameshow skit. The scenes were awkwardly aired just weeks after their split.

Speaking on the podcast, Pete said: “We’re going to talk through our staying relevant moments from the week. Sam’s has mostly consisted of crying but there has been other things that have happened.”

Sam was heard awkwardly laughing before speaking of his appearance on the comedy show. He said: “It’s been one hell of a week. It happened a while ago that we filmed this as you can probably tell by watching it.”

Sarcastically, Pete asked why before Sam said: “Just happened a while ago and there were two people in the bed and… f***. I’ve got a dry mouth, I’ve really panicked and I don’t know why.”

The scenes the duo were talking of showed Sam and Zara get surprised by comedian Michael at their Chelsea home. Michael and a film crew snuck in and woke them up in bed and challenged them to answer questions from three custard pie wielding Love Island stars.

Weeks later and the pair were no longer an item. A source told OK! last month that despite their best efforts to salvage their relationship, it just wasn’t meant to be. The insider said: “Although they have known it’s been over for a while, Sam and Zara are both devastated and heartbroken that they couldn’t make it work as they had so much love for each other.”

They added: “When they had problems in the summer they vowed to give it one more try and hoped that they could work through their issues, but it proved impossible as they were just at different stages in their lives.”

Meghan Markle’s secret shock at Prince Harry’s bold move on stage at Invictus Games

Meghan Markle was left shocked by a bold move by Prince Harry at the Invictus Games that showed a change between them, according to an expert.

The Sussexes have put on a loved-up display at the event in Canada, which has Meghan spend five days alongside her husband at his beloved Games, before flying home to their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

During Meghan’s trip to Canada, she spent several days with Harry in Vancouver before the pair moved on to the ski resort of Whistler, where they both took to the stage at a welcome event. Harry was first introduced on stage by Michael Buble, who excited the 1,000-strong crowd with a rendition of Feeling Good.

Welcoming Harry on stage, Canadian singer Michael said: “I know how difficult something like this is, so I wanted to make sure I did this right. Without the incredible effort of this young man, none of this would have happened, so please welcome my friend, Prince Harry.”

Meghan joined Harry on stage at the end of his speech before he joked: “Now she’s going to sing!” leaving his wife horrified. And body language expert Judi James told the Mirror the interaction was very telling.

She explained: “Harry loves playful behaviour and banter, but he usually adopts a different tone with Meghan, sticking to more romantic narratives. Here though he brings her into his routine with a flapping hand that suggests good humour rather than any royal graciousness.

“There is some synchronicity here though as she actually seems pretty much in tune with his more fun side. At first there is the usual mutual hugging, and Meghan shows empathy by rubbing Harry’s hand to thaw it out in the cold air. But when he jokes about her singing, her response is speedy as she looks shocked but then equally playful.

“The last image of the pair leaning forward into the mic to take their goodbyes is one of the better images of them working as an upbeat, casual and relaxed team of two.”

Judi’s comments come as Meghan sent a touching message to Harry as she flew back home to their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilbet, while the Duke of Sussex remains in Canada.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Meghan posted a photo of personalised shirts for Archie and Lilbet, along with a selection of Canadian snacks. In a nod to her husband, she wrote, “A taste of Canada and The Invictus Games for our little ones! Cheering you on from home!”

During the Games, which celebrates injured servicemen and women, Meghan has been using her newly launched Instagram account to share her experiences, posting several stories of her interacting with competitors’ children and zooming around the stadium during the opening ceremony on a golf buggy.

Peter Andre’s sad reason for never adopting Harvey as Katie Price shares huge fear

When Peter Andre married Katie Price, he vowed to be the dad that Harvey didn’t have.

The Cypriot singer, 51, met the glamour model in the Australian jungle when they appeared on I’m A Celebrity together in 2004, and their whirlwind romance led to them tying the knot less than a year later. Katie was already mother to Harvey, who had an estranged relationship with his biological father, footballer Dwight Yorke, and Peter took on Harvey as his own.

Following their split, and through all of Katie’s marriages, she has singlehandedly raised Harvey and is an incredibly proud mother. Harvey has a number of debilitating conditions, including autism, septo-optic dysplasia, ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder. The 22-year-old has a rare genetic condition, called Prader-Willi syndrome, which means he is always hungry.

Now, Katie fears Harvey may die if he doesn’t receive any help with his spiralling weight. In a new interview, Katie emotionally revealed she is going to put Harvey, who weighs 28 stone, on weight-loss injections, with the hope being they can save his life. She confessed the situation with Harvey is “really serious” and explained how he is at risk of a heart attack.

Speaking to the Sun, Katie, 46, said: “He’s putting on weight. It doesn’t matter what we do. He can’t put his shoes on without sweating. He can’t walk far because he gets out of breath.” She said it’s all due to his weight and claimed doctors advised the jabs to give him a better and longer life as well as improve his health.

Katie has faced many challenges with Harvey and has always found it difficult to understand why his biological dad Dwight chose not to be part of his life.

When Peter married Katie in 2005, he promised to be a father figure to Harvey. In 2009, he told the Daily Mail: “I have been a real father of Harvey and he calls me Daddy. I guess that sticks in Dwight’s throat.”

As the years passed, Peter would post happy birthday messages for Harvey online, writing on his 15th birthday on Twitter: “Happy birthday to a very special boy. Hope you like your prezzies.” After he separated from Katie, Pete shared how their special bond continued and said he would always have love for Harvey.

He wrote in his New! magazine column in 2017: “There have been a few times recently where he’s been to my house and I’ve been to his. Harvey will always be special to me and I just want him to be happy. He’s a great kid!”

Pete also shared in his column: “He’s such a good-hearted boy, I see him a bit more now, which is amazing. He’s just the best, I love him. There’s always room for Harvey at our house. I always saw him as my own. There’s a special place in my heart for him – he’s very important to me and he’s always welcome.”

But the Mysterious Girl singer slipped out of Harvey’s life later down the line, and Katie bemoaned that all of Harvey’s male role models turned their backs on him. She wrote on Twitter: “When you divorce, you have to share the kids. But with Harvey, there’s no one. Well, look, Dwight don’t want to know. Someone else doesn’t see him anymore. He’s just got me, you know?”

In her 2017 book, Katie Price: Harvey and Me, the former glamour star shared more details about Pete’s crumbling relationship with Harvey. She wrote: “The split from Pete really upset Harvey. It must have been frustrating for him at the time because he couldn’t express how he felt. But now he can and he remembers a lot more than you’d think. It’s really sad.”

Katie claimed that Pete’s visits to Harvey “fizzled out”. She continued: “I began to notice a change in Harvey, I’d say things like, ‘Do you want to go see Daddy Peter today?’ and he’d shout, ‘No!’ So then I’d be like, ‘But he has a cake waiting for you’. But he wasn’t interested and he’d start kicking off, it’s probably because the visits were starting to fizzle out and Harvey could sense that.”

The reality TV star mentioned that Pete’s name “stresses him out” But, she added: “Whenever Harvey saw Peter, he wanted to play a clip of the couple singing A Whole New World. Every single time, I want the ground to swallow me up. It’s bad enough having to listen back to it, never mind haven’t to listen back to it standing next to Pete!”

Katie Price turning to weight loss jabs to ‘save’ 28-stone son Harvey

Katie Price has opened up on her fears for son Harvey Price and his weight.

The former glamour model was emotional as she revealed she is going to put her son, who weighs 28 stone and has a rare genetic condition which means he is always hungry, on weight-loss injections.

Katie, 46, fears her eldest son, 22, may die if he doesn’t receive any help with his spiralling weight. She told how top doctors have suggested using the jabs on Harvey with the hope being they can help save and improve his life.

She confessed the situation with Harvey is “really serious” and explained how he is at risk of a heart attack. Mum-of-five Katie candidly shared that due to his condition, Harvey isn’t getting smaller at present.

Speaking to the Sun, Katie said: “He’s putting on weight. It doesn’t matter what we do. He can’t put his shoes on without sweating. He can’t walk far because he gets out of breath.”

She said it’s all due to his weight and claimed doctors advised the jabs to give him a better and longer life as well as improving his health. Harvey has a number of debilitating conditions including autism, septo-optic dysplasia, ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder.

Katie said she believes the injection option is a good thing as, because it’s done weekly, they can stop if there is any effect on Harvey. “We’ve tried food, he’s had dieticians, it’s just the way he is,” she added before saying it won’t affect any of his other medications.

The reality TV star claims doctors would like Harvey to try the jab for “one or two years” while they assess him.

GP Dr Zoe Williams told The Sun: “A recognised symptom of Prader-Willi syndrome is an everyday constant insatiable hunger and desire to eat which is more pronounced than most of us will ever experience. Managing weight is practically impossible so it makes sense that medical teams would consider weight-loss injections as a therapy for these patients.”

She added in some cases, when the jabs are used alongside other aspects of clinical care, they can be potentially life saving.

Last month, Katie had to deny she was having the jab when followers noted her own weight loss. She addressed the concerns on Rob Moore’s podcast, Disruptors, and said that coming off of IVF was actually the reason behind her slimmed-down figure: “So people have said I’ve lost loads of weight. Now there’s a programme coming out in January, my IVF journey. Anyone you know who’s had IVF, you put on weight. I had three IVFs the past 15 months. They all failed.”

Katie also said that being injured impacted her weight: “It started from when I broke my feet. They said I’d never run again. So I couldn’t run, wasn’t exercising, couldn’t ride my horses, so basically, I was in a wheelchair for 10 months.”

She was then asked about weight loss jabs, saying she had no experience with it. However, she admitted her son Harvey was about to start taking it. She said when questioned at the time: “No, but Harvey’s going on that. So I’ve had to sit there with the doctors. I think when it comes to things like that, I think because of Harvey and all the medication and that he has, I think people have to be really careful with things like that.

“I don’t need it. I never have done. I’ve always been skinny. Look at old pictures of me. Always been tiny.”

‘I joined Harry and Meghan at Invictus – one moment revealed everything about their marriage’

It was a moment that involved no speech, yet said more than a million words ever could.

After months of speculation about their marriage, Meghan leaned into Harry and tenderly put her head on his shoulder as they held hands. They may have been surrounded by more than 40,000 people at the Invictus Games opening ceremony, but despite the gaze of many being on them, it was clear they only had eyes for each other.

While enjoying a shared moment of satisfaction in what Harry, 40, has achieved to change the perception of injured military veterans worldwide, they were also sending a message of love, unity and togetherness about themselves.

Some may baulk at the former actress and Harry’s public displays of affection during these Games, including a kiss worthy of ending any Hollywood movie. But watching them together here in Canada I have absolutely no doubt every single one is absolutely genuine and heartfelt.

I have been lucky enough to see them up close, as an accredited journalist, at three previous Invictus Games, including the one held in Toronto when they were pictured together for the first time. I was sent to Windsor to watch as they blissfully paraded through the streets after getting married in May the following year.

And I also saw them at events during their royal style tour of Colombia in August last year. But in all that time, I have never seen them looking so happy and in-step with each other as they have here in Vancouver and Whistler.

Outside temperatures have at times plunged as low as -12, but everywhere they have been together they have radiated genuine warmth and happiness.

Harry publicly addressed rumours about he and Meghan’s marriage in December last year, as well as speculation about why they had chosen to carry out some work independently of each other. He laughed as he said: “Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?’.

“It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it. The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls. Their hopes are just built and built, and it’s like, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,’ and then it doesn’t happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do.”

During the same sit-down chat on stage in New York City, Harry also spoke of how he loves his life in Montecito, California, with Meghan, 43, and their two children Archie, five, and Lilibet, three. He added: “I feel as though it’s the life that my mum wanted for me.

“To be able to do the things I’m able to do with my kids that I undoubtedly wouldn’t be able to do in the UK — it’s huge. I’m hugely grateful for that.”

There have been recent negative headlines about Meghan’s upcoming Netflix TV show, titled With Love, Meghan, and she and Harry have been upset by a new book and a cover piece in Vanity Fair, which included a string of lurid claims.

And everyone it seems has an opinion about Harry and Meghan and the way they are publicly perceived, including a group of women linked to the Nigerian Invictus team, who refused to speak to British journalists at one Invictus event on Sunday due to their belief they are against Meghan.

Biographer Tom Bower, who wrote a best-selling book about the couple and their separation from the royal family and was sitting in the press seats at the opening ceremony, also came in for some tough treatment from a Harry and Meghan fan in Vancouver earlier this week.

But broadly, everywhere Harry and Meghan went during their five-day trip together, there was nothing but positivity. From the very first moment they were first spotted arriving here in a cavalcade of cars, they have been seen almost constantly smiling and laughing, while enjoying each other’s company.

At the wheelchair basketball finals on Sunday night, Meghan couldn’t help bursting out laughing at Harry’s goofy impression of a Canadian moose. She chuckled heartily, before jokingly admonishing him, after he joked that she was about to follow in their close pal Michael Buble’s footsteps by singing on stage to a crowd of more than 1,000 people on Monday.

And she was also seen visibly amused at the thought of him racing ten-year-old Australian schoolboy Hamish Greenstreet down the slopes in Whistler, before celebrating with a triumphant “yes!” at the finish line on Tuesday.

Cynthia Phelps, whose husband James served alongside Harry at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan in 2012, perfectly summed up the mood here about Harry and Meghan. She told me: “Meghan is always personable and very down to earth and just really cares about us. Every time she talks to us it’s very visible and genuine.

“They genuinely care about the healing journey of every single one of the competitors. It’s a blessing to be able to spend time with them.”

Former Suits star Meghan, who held Cynthia’s seven-month-old baby Laramie in her arms as she told how she was missing her own children, is now back in California on motherly duties.

For her, this year’s Invictus Games is over. But the memories she and Harry made here and the message it sent to the world will continue to be poured over and remembered for a long time to come.

Reality TV star Teddi Mellencamp rushed to hospital for emergency brain surgery

Teddi Mellencamp has revealed that she’s undergoing urgent operations after doctors discovered tumours in her brain.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared the worrying news on Instagram just two hours ago in a series of posts, only days after urging fans to check for skin melanomas following her diagnosis with skin cancer in 2022.

In her first post shared of her main grid, Teddi, 43, outlined the situation in white text on a black background. She described: “For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization.

“After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumours on my brain, which they believed have been growing for at least 6 months. Two of the tumours will be surgically removed today – the remaining smaller tumours will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”

She added: “I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health. Thank you everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey,” along with a heart emoji.

Several of Teddi’s celebrity pals sent their love and well wishes to her in the comments of the post. Fellow Real Housewife Emily Simpson wrote: “Praying for your health my friend.” Scheana Shay penned: “Sending you so many prayers and all the love!!!” Showbiz journalist Perez Hilton added: “Sending you all the healing energy!!”

Teddi then moved over to her Instagram Stories, revealing that she was already in hospital. The podcaster first shared a photo of herself in her hospital bed, wearing a gown while sporting several devices spread across her temples.

“Counting down the minutes until my babies get here,” she wrote. “As my dad said this am, god only gives hard stuff to those of us who can handle it. It’s a hard day but I have faith and amazing surgeons and know everything will be ok.”

Teddi then filmed herself getting her hair shaved off by a pal, with her hospital room full of friends rather than nurses. Despite the drastic situation, Teddi and her buddies lightened the mood with jokes about her transformation.

“I’m going to have this look on my bucket list!” she said before adding: “My best look!” Alongside the clip she wrote “All I need is an umbrella,” and added a gif of Britney Spears in reference to the pop star’s infamous 2007 outburst.

She then returned to bed, and ribbed that she was going to compete with her brother to see who pulled off the short crop best. “I hate to break it to my brother, but once I’m allowed to wash my hair and it’s not all spiky I think I’ve taken you for a run for your money, Hud. I’ll see you tomorrow and we’ll see who did it better, who wore it best. I mean, these add an extra nice flair,” she laughed while pointing out the machinery on her forehead.

In her final post, she asked her entourage how long she had until her first surgery. “Yep, here we go. We’re all getting ready, what’s the countdown?” she asked. Her friends responded that she had 10 minutes to go, with the video posted an hour ago – meaning she’s likely in surgery at present.
