Emma Heming Willis has revealed the harrowing moment she first learned Bruce Willis was facing frontotemporal dementia.

The Die Hard star, 70, was officially diagnosed in 2023, but Emma says she will never forget the day doctors first explained the condition in November 2022.

“I’m sure the doctor was explaining what FTD is, buT I couldn’t hear a single thing,” she told People. “I had pins and needles going through my body. My ears were wafting. I’m sure he was feeding us information but all I heard was just, ‘Check back in and here’s a pamphlet’.”

While the diagnosis clarified Bruce’s troubling behavior, Emma admitted the lack of guidance was crushing.

“I was grateful to get to a diagnosis, but there is no cure for this disease, and being sent on our way with no support, no nothing was really traumatic. It’s not just happening to us. This is how many people are receiving their diagnosis,” she revealed.

She recalls feeling “very dark, very one-note of just grief and sadness,” often left to search online for answers. “I ended up searching the web to figure out what to do,” she said.

Now raising daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, largely on her own, Emma says caregiving forced her to find purpose. “Early on I was too scared to say anything to anyone… I realized it would be beneficial to talk about it and raise awareness.”

Her journey inspired her new book The Unexpected Journey. “I wrote the book that I wish someone had handed me on the day we received the diagnosis,” she explained.

“Caregiving is hard, and there are many people doing it with little to no support… The only way I can get through this is to help someone else feel less alone.”

Bruce now lives in a nearby one-story home with a full-time care team. “Bruce would want that for our daughters,” Emma explained. “He would want them to be in a home that was more tailored to their needs, not his needs.”

Despite criticism for the move, Emma defended the decision, saying she has been judged “quickly and unfairly.”

During a joint ABC special with Diane Sawyer, she offered reassurance: “Bruce is still very mobile. Bruce is in really great health overall, you know. It’s just his brain that is failing him.

“We have a way of communicating with him that is just a different way, but I’m grateful. I’m grateful that my husband is still very much here.”

Jade Goody’s widower Jack Tweed fears he’ll never remarry 16 years after her death

Jack Tweed, the widower of Jade Goody, admitted he is uncertain whether he can ever get married again after his former wife’s tragic cancer death. He admitted that while he hopes to have children with his partner Ellis Sargeant, he is unaware of his chances of getting married again.

Jack Tweed has opened up about the lasting impact of losing his wife Jade Goody, admitting that even 16 years on from her death, he is still unsure whether he will ever be ready to marry again.

The 38-year-old TV personality, who married Jade just a month before she tragically died from cervical cancer in 2009, has since built a new life with girlfriend Ellis Sargeant, 31.

Over the past three years, the couple, who started dating in 2022, have spoken about starting a family. However, Jack still torn about getting married.

He told the Daily Mail : “I would like to have kids, but I just don’t know about marriage. Sometimes I do feel I want to but then other times I feel like I’m a bit guilty. I know it’s been a long time [since Jade’s death] but…”

Jack claims that Jack never truly loses his steadfast loyalty to Jade. Just weeks before Jade lost her cancer battle, she was 27 years old, their emotional wedding took place in February 2009, just before the pair tied the knot.

Jack was only 21 when he was suddenly exposed as the widower of one of Britain’s most well-known reality TV stars. Since then, he has begun to consider how to plan for the future together with Ellis. When Ellis miscarried last year, the pair experienced heartache, which Jack says has been challenging to accept.

He explained that he and she lost the baby without speaking about having more children since then. It’s awkward to talk about children right now, especially with her, and it wasn’t nice.

Despite the agonizing loss of a child, Jack describes a strong bond between him and Ellis. We are excellent, really. He continued, “We just get on.” “I believe there has only been one mini-argument in the last three years… ” He laughed, “I believe it’s because I’m so laid-back.”

Jack has also maintained a connection with Jade’s sons, Bobby and Freddy, from her previous relationship with Jeff Brazier. While his bond with the boys was strained in the immediate aftermath of Jade’s death, they are now on good terms.

Freddy, 20, is preparing to become a father himself, and Jack believes Jade would have been thrilled to hear the news. “When the news came out, I was thinking – Jade would be a grandma – would I be a step-granddad? I’d rather not have that title [so young],” he joked.

Freddy added that Freddy’s new role might encourage his maturation, saying, “It makes you grow up. When I met Jade, I was younger than Freddy is now.

Jack admits to having trouble after Jade passed away, turning to alcohol and even serving time in prison. However, he has recently resisted being in the spotlight and successfully established himself as an electrician.

He said, “I don’t really go out and have a drink that much anymore.” Because hangovers last for about five days, I very rarely drink.

‘Marks and Spencer’s £40 autumn alternative to jeans made me fail no spend September’

Bethan Shufflebotham, a fashion writer, visited her store to pick out her favorite pieces from the new range, and he foresees these trousers to be a sell-out.

Autumn is in full swing at Marks and Spencer(Image: Bethan Shufflebotham)

I was supposed to be taking part in No Spend September this month, but I failed less than a week in. Why? Marks and Spencer’s new autumn range.

In theory, No Spend September is a self-imposed challenge, serving both as an antidote to summer overspending and a way to get creative with clothes that I already own. But in practice, it lasted all of five days thanks to a pair of faux leather trousers.

The second I laid eyes on these Leather-Looking, Textured Barrel Leg Trousers, I knew that they’d be one of the first items to sell out this season. I simply could not leave behind, and it turns out I was 100% right to do so – my size is already out of stock online.

September might still offer the odd late-summer day, but the shops have already shifted into autumn/winter mode. Think richer textures, deeper hues, and on-trend silhouettes – and these trousers tick all three boxes.

First of all, they come in a rich wine-burgundy shade that is warm brown in color. The M&amp, S pair of pants is perfect for pairing with 2025’s other trending shades like butter yellow and chocolate, but I’m not a fan of burgundys that lean cool and purple.

As for the shape, barrel trousers have quietly taken centre stage this year. The high waist appeals to the millennials and above among us who are not ready to reconsider a low-rise trouser, with the sculpted leg being effortlessly cool. The fabric is relaxed enough to be comfortable for every day , but still structured enough to wear to the office or for evening occasions.

Finally, the leather-like finish appears to be much more expensive than the £40 price tag would suggest. The textured fabric looks seriously elevated while remaining breathable, unlike faux leather, which can frequently come off as cheap and clammy.

For a more matte-look leather trouser, New Look has these Burgundy Faux Leather Barrel Leg Trousers in the sale for £19.99, down from £39.99. Despite being half price, they’re still available in every size from 6 to 22, but unlike M&S, they don’t have the benefit of different lengths.

For those who prefer real leather, HUSH has these Leather Jack Barrel Trousers, coming in considerably more expensive at £320. This pull-on pair is designed with an elasticated waistband for ultimate comfort and is made in ‘buttery soft’ leather.

What really sealed the deal for me is how versatile these M&S trousers are – they’re a great alternative to jeans, and can be matched with pretty much anything already in your wardrobe. Think oversized knit and sporty trainers like the Adidas SL72 for a weekend coffee date, or with loafers and a blouse tucked in for the office.

A silk camisole, strappy heels, and blazer would be ideal for a date night. To really tie in with some of the hottest trends of the upcoming season, layer up with ballet flats, a plain t-shirt, and trench coat.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell has spilled the beans about her new celebrity partner ahead of the show’s much-anticipated return.

The 36 year old reigning Strictly champion, who clinched victory last year with comedian Chris McCausland, 48, revealed that her 2025 partner is “not as funny” as him.

In a candid chat with Chris on their podcast, Dianne confessed that she’s been having plenty of laughs with the mystery male contestant, but reckons it’s thanks to her own jokes.

She remarked, “My God, I’ve never laughed so much in my life, but I’ve never won.” She also made the comment on the podcast Winning Isn’t Everything with Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell.

“Or maybe I’m just funny, or maybe I was just laughing at myself. I may have been like, “You know what?” when I said so many funny things. I have a funny streak.

Dianne also shared some insights into being paired with someone outside of the comedy world on the BBC reality show, reports Wales Online.

She said to Chris, “I’ve come to the realization that you were kind of dominant with the old jokes when I was with you.”

“[I] couldn’t get a word in edgeways with you, with your little lean forward in Claud’s [Claudia Winkleman’s] area.”

When she thought Chris might say something offensive live on-air, Dianne recalled frequently having to “get his] shoulder and]put it back together.”

She continued, “And I just realized that I’m so much funnier because I’m the leader of the pack when you’re with someone who’s not as funny.” I believe I’m the one who makes the most jokes.

Before meeting her new partner, Dianne revealed that Chris texted her saying, “Have a lovely day today, but don’t be too enthusiastic.”

The professional dancer continued to share with viewers that she had contacted Chris for assistance with a planned gag.

“I believe that all of my jokes will come through you,” she continued. You’ll have to check the jokes, I tell them.

He retorted, saying that he should be the first to inquire about a joke that is appropriate.

After sharing her cheeky advice with her new partner after her time with Chris, Dianne made the hilarious joke that “it seems like if you close your eyes, it works a treat.”

Chris became the first blind contestant to appear on the program, and he won.

Andy Serkis issues disappointing update on The Batman II – but says it will be ‘epic’

The Batman: Part II is set to begin filming next spring, with Andy Serkis returning as Alfred Pennyworth

Andy Serkis has hinted at his comeback as Alfred Pennyworth in the eagerly awaited follow-up The Batman: Part II, though confesses he’s yet to lay eyes on the screenplay.

The much-anticipated sequel featuring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman is set to begin filming next spring, with an October 2027 release date pencilled in – five years after the original movie hit cinemas.

During this period, Serkis has helmed his animated adaptation of George Orwell’s Animal Farm and served as executive producer on the forthcoming Prime Video series, The Girlfriend.

Chatting to the Mirror at the show’s premiere, the actor disclosed he’s not among the chosen few fortunate enough to have perused Matt Reeves ‘ screenplay for the superhero epic.

“There’s not a lot I can tell you, because there’s not a lot I know,” he reveals, reports the Express.

“Other than Matt’s obviously finished the script because he posted a picture of the script”.

Acknowledging he hasn’t glimpsed the completed screenplay himself, he continued: “There’s very little I know about it, other than it’s epic”.

The performer renowned for bringing Gollum to life in The Lord of the Rings saga was championing The Girlfriend’s launch ahead of its 10th September debut.

Featuring Olivia Cooke and Robin Wright, the programme explores dual viewpoints of an affluent mother clashing with her son’s fresh romantic interest.

Wright helmed the opening three instalments, with Serkis commenting on her efforts: “To have a vision and maintain that vision whilst being inside such a psychologically complex character, it’s a real challenge.

” And she just made it seem effortless. Just remarkable. Her relationship with the crew and DP, the choices she made, all the way down the line was just faultless.

“I really applaud what she’s done, both in front and behind the camera, I think it’s a remarkable achievement”.

Serkis stands amongst a select few cast members confirmed for their return to the Batman franchise, alongside Jeffrey Wright reprising Jim Gordon and Colin Farrell back as the Penguin.

Farrell has, however, perused the screenplay, though he’s anticipated to feature minimally as the infamous Gotham City criminal mastermind following his standalone HBO series from last year.

He recently told Deadline, “I haven’t got much to do on it, just a little bit.” The script is “extraordinary,” I read it.

As James Gunn’s distinct DC Universe gains momentum with the just-released Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, filming for The Batman: Part II is about to begin.

Meanwhile, Tom Rhys Harries portrays Batman’s metamorphic adversary in the upcoming supervillain film Clayface, which James Watkins directed from a Mike Flanagan screenplay.
