Gavin & Stacey creator and actress Ruth Jones has listed her impressive Cardiff home following the split from her husband as she throws herself into work with James Corden

Ruth Jones has put her stunning marital home up for sale as she prepares to get back to work with Gavin & Stacey co-star James Corden. The actress and writer, 58, has listed her impressive house for £1,150,000 after splitting from husband David Peet.

Their home is now on the market following the end of their 25-year marriage. Ruth, who is best known for playing Nessa in the hit BBC sitcom, split from TV executive David, 72, some time ago.

They announced their separation earlier this year and now it seems Ruth is ready to part with their property. She once labelled it “my favourite place to be” and gushed the kitchen was “the best bit”.

Ruth and David have not been seen together at the property in Penylan, Cardiff for almost two years. Furniture has already been cleared out of the mock Tudor home, which they bought in 2001.

The five bedroomed semi was purchased for £325,000, with the pair set to make an impressive £825,000 profit. Ruth and David also have a holiday home on the west coast of Scotland and owned a popular restaurant called Peet’s in the village of Lochinver.

Following the split, Ruth has reportedly been living in London while David has left the UK for Canada. He has since moved on with Jayne Charity Cook, 46.

Their three-storey home overlooks a park and has original fireplaces, tiling and wooden floors. The estate agent listing describes it as a “handsome, three-storey bay-fronted Edwardian style residence, retaining charm and character, sympathetically extended, choice position overlooking Roath Park recreation fields.”

In a statement in June, Ruth and David said: “We amicably went our separate ways 18 months ago and are now legally separated. We remain good friends. Since our separation, Ruth is living in London and David is living in Canada, where he is in a new relationship.” Ruth was a step-mum to David’s three children from a previous marriage.

The former couple met when they were both filming a pilot of a BBC comedy in the early 90s. At the time, David was married, with Ruth later explaining that there had been an overlap with their relationship.

She said: “Affairs cause a lot of pain; they’re not something one aspires to do. You don’t aspire to cause pain to people in their life.” The couple had lived in Cardiff, where they established their production company Tidy Productions, which created Gavin & Stacey.

Speaking about her views on children, Ruth previously told the Daily Mail: “It just didn’t happen. It wasn’t a decision. I don’t have a burning desire to have babies.

“I think it’s heartbreaking if you do and you find out you can’t have them. I love being a stepmum — all the joy of motherhood without the pain of childbirth.”

Ruth has since thrown herself into work as she is said to be back working with James Corden. They said they hoped to work together again after Gavin & Stacey ended, and it seems fans might not have long to wait.

It has now been reported we can expect to see a brand new ten-part comedy drama from James and Ruth as they have reportedly signed a huge deal with AppleTV+. Their new show will be set in the UK with filming starting next year, according to reports.

Jennifer Aniston was glowing as she was supported by her new boyfriend on the red carpet. Jennifer celebrated the upcoming new series of The Morning Show alongside her co-stars Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass.

Jennifer’s new man Jim Curtis was also in attendance and was seen standing to the side and watching on as Jennifer posed for the paparazzi. Whilst he didn’t appear in the pictures, Jim was nearby.

The pair were first linked together back in July when they celebrated the US holiday in Mallorca alongside some of her famous friends including Hollywood star Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka.

“They are being super private but have been spending a lot of time together. They are happy and really into each other,” a source had said at the time. Later, Jennifer and Jim were seen with Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid in Malibu and then he was seen supporting his girlfriend at an event for haircare brand, LolaVie, in Los Angeles.

Teasing what’s to come in the new series, showrunner Charlotte Stoudt shared: “We blew everything up last year with the biggest bomb we could possibly build.

“So, we have to ask ourselves how is the band going to get back together, and what will that look like? We get into the world of DeepFakes and AI and the misinformation in the fog of war that we’re seeing now in the Middle East and stuff. We’re looking at who can trust. And can you trust what you’re seeing? Can you trust yourself? Can you trust your news outlet?”

Jennifer previously revealed she is always open to love but never seeks it.

“A good place to be is to be open to love, but not seeking it. That way you don’t put any pressure on the situation, and if it happens organically, then amazing,” she said, “No matter how long I have been in the industry, I will never get used to people thinking they have any sort of right to know about your personal life.”

Discussing her bond with her Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon, she praised her friend’s work ethic.

“We have a great personal relationship, but we also have a great working relationship. I wish people could see how hard Reese works, she honestly has one of the most incredible work ethics out of anybody I know,” she added.

Prince Harry might be thousands of miles away from his wife Meghan Markle this week, but she’s still showing her support from afar.

On Monday evening, Harry attended the WellChild Awards in London, alongside a host of famous faces. At the event, which champions inspirational young people in the UK who are seriously ill, he spent time with some of the young recipients and nominees, and showcased his playful side – at one point having a balloon sword fight with a little girl.

The moment clearly touched Meghan, who is at home in Montecito with their two children. She shared a short clip of the interaction on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, adding two pink love hearts emojis to the footage. It’s the first time she’s posted on social media since Harry landed in the UK.

Harry was last seen in the UK in May, when he lost a long-running legal battle with the Home Office over changes to his security arrangements.

In recent months, he has spoken openly about his desire to reconcile with his family, and there is speculation that he might see his father the King, who was at Birkhall, his Scottish residence, as he privately marked his mother’s death on Monday.

The monarch does have a number of private audiences and meetings this week, which could, potentially, bring him back to the capital.

Reconciliation hopes were reignited earlier this summer when senior aides from both Charles and Harry’s teams were spotted at a secret meeting in London. It was was seen as the first step towards restoring their relationship.

No such luck with Prince William, however. According to insiders, the future king has absolutely no desire to see his brother during his return to the UK and they are not expected to meet.

On Monday, the estranged brothers were just eight miles from each other as they paid their respects to the nation’s longest-reigning monarch and their late grandmother on the third anniversary of her death yesterday.

And they went head-to-head on Tuesday with separate engagements in the UK; in fact William has official engagements on every day of Harry’s stay.

The Duke has made it clear in recent months that he would like resolution with his family, but it might not be so easy to paper over the cracks.

A key area of concern for the royals is said to be trust. Harry has been accused of betraying his family by sharing many of their confidences, with fears that whatever Harry is told, ends up in the press.

Rylan Clark offered an insight into the realities of filming his latest BBC series with Rob Rinder, and set the record straight about romance rumours

Rylan Clark has revealed he clashed with his co-star Rob Rinder during filming for the latest series of their BAFTA-winning programme. In their fresh travel documentary, the duo delve into India’s vibrant culture, heritage, and diversity, meeting various people who represent contemporary life there.

Reflecting on the highs and lows of filming, Rylan, 36, confessed his co-star became “so p****d off” with him.

He revealed: “When I got off the plane, I got bitten on the face by a mosquito and had a golf ball on the f*****g cheek.

“It was not a great start. After four hours’ sleep, I was chucked into a tuk-tuk in the middle of, I can only describe it as a Wacky Races replay.”

The presenter added to Heat Magazine: “It was a lot. When I say I dove into India head first, I dove into India head first.”

After Rob confirmed that the situation was “real”, Rylan continued: “He got so p****d off with me. This isn’t normal for me! I could have lost an arm, it was crazy.”

Looking back on the incident, Rob admitted he ran “out of patience” and jokingly compared himself to a “benevolent headmistress of a school”.

Despite their disagreement however, Rylan insisted they remain the “best of friends”.

During the same interview, he tackled the persistent rumours about the pair being romantically linked.

Addressing the speculation, they mentioned reports about them being “engaged”, and also referenced seeing fake wedding photos of themselves.

“I love him too much to marry him,” Rylan admitted.

Rylan’s latest interview comes after he confirmed that he is in a new relationship – his first since splitting from Dan Neal in 2021.

During an appearance on his How To Be In Love podcast last month, he said he’d been quietly dating someone for several months, and opened up about their shared hopes of having children.

Rylan’s new partner has since been identified as Kennedy Bates, a fairground entrepreneur.

The duo have reportedly been “inseparable” during the summer months, and have introduced each other to their relatives.

Most recently, the pair were photographed together at Radio 2 In The Park last weekend, where Rylan performed multiple DJ sets.

Pictures captured the couple relaxing together in the VIP section, with Rylan’s mum Linda also in attendance.

A witness told The Sun: “Rylan and his new man looked seriously in love, they were having a great time together in the VIP.

“They were laughing and joking, and there was lots of PDA. At one point Rylan playfully smacked Kennedy on the bum when he headed off while his boyfriend stood in the queue for food.

“Kennedy was also chatting to Rylan’s mum Linda, he’s clearly been accepted by the family.”
