Stacey Solomon issues statement ahead of NTAs four months after BAFTAs snub rant

Stacey Solomon posted a furious statement on Instagram after being snubbed at the BAFTAs earlier this year, but now she’s up for Best Presenter at tonight’s National Television Awards

Stacey Solomon has issued a statement ahead of tonight’s NTAs

Stacey Solomon has issued a statement ahead of tonight’s NTAs following her epic rant after her BAFTAs snub. The 35-year-old, who is up for Best Presenter at the star-studded ceremony this evening in London, was fuming in May when she lost out on two gongs for her BBC show, Sort Your Life Out.

The X Factor star admitted she didn’t take the loss well four months ago, however she seems in a brighter mood ahead of tonight’s NTAs as she shared a measured message on social media.

Posting a snap of an elegant black dress hanging up in the bathroom of Pickle Cottage as well as two adorable girls’ floral dresses alongside suit jackets and trousers, Stacey told fans she was grateful to be nominated.

Revealing she was going to the star-studded bash in the capital with all her family, she wrote: “It’s NTA day. Just got home from work, now it’s time to get ready. Just wanted to say, no matter what, I’m so grateful to be nominated for an NTA.

“The fact that we are going tonight with our whole family is so special, I can’t even put it into words. It’s voted for by YOU so thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us this moment. We will never forget it and NEVER take it for granted. To the moon and back everyone x.”

Her poignant post is a far cry from her response to not winning a BAFTA when she took to social media with an uncharacteristic rant.

Stacey admitted she was ‘devastated’ after losing out on a gong after being nominated for Entertainment Performance for her show, Sort Your Life Out, which was awarded to Joe Lycett. The BBC One show was also nominated for Factual Entertainment, but was pipped to the post by Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour.

Tending to her garden at Pickle Cottage, Stacey filmed herself the morning after the awards, saying: “Good morning from the veg patch, about to do the morning water. We didn’t win a BAFTA and I know I’m supposed to take it gracefully like a champ but I’ll be honest I’m devastated.

“I’m not handling it very well, I’m not taking it very gracefully. I’m devastated for our whole team like I’m so gutted for our team. Everyone got dressed up and were really hopeful because I think because they work so hard.

“It’s not an easy show to make, Sort Your Life Out, and the team work so hard to make it happen and they so deserve a BAFTA. The Sort Your Life Out team deserve a BAFTA and I’m devastated.”

Insisting that the winners deserved their BAFTAs, she concluded: “I’m not saying that everyone else didn’t deserve their BAFTAs, they absolutely did. People think making TV is really easy and it’s not so everyone deserves recognition but I’m just gutted for the whole Sort Your Life Out family because I do feel like they deserve a BAFTA, I’m going to say. I’m gutted.”

Patsy Kensit takes sly jab at Liam Gallagher during dig at ‘heartbreak’

The former Oasis rocker was married to the actress for three years and the couple shared son Lennon before their divorce

Patsy Kensit, the 57 year old actress, has confessed she’s no stranger to heartbreak and is now aiding Brits in erasing their romantic pasts. She has partnered with Samsung to launch a cheeky new ‘Ex Eraser’ service, urging Brits to finally banish the ghosts of their exes and move forward with confidence.

Patsy is the ideal agony aunt for the role, having famously married Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher in 1997. The pair share son Lennon, but their whirlwind marriage collapsed just three years later. Their tumultuous love affair was the talk of the 90s, filled with glamour, drama, and rock ‘n’ roll chaos.

Patsy has since admitted that the heartbreak left its mark, but she’s determined to turn that experience into something positive for others.

Speaking about the campaign, Patsy said: “I’ve been through my fair share of heartbreaks, so I know how crucial it is to move forward without the weight of the past holding you back. Sometimes, the bravest act is simply hitting erase and choosing yourself.”

New research supports her, with 48 per cent of Brits confessing they have deleted photos of exes or edited their social feeds to erase bad memories.

In fact, an astonishing 1.6 billion snaps of former flames are expected to disappear from phones and galleries in 2025 alone.

The Samsung study also unveiled the peculiar habits we all resort to post-breakup – from ripping up old photos to chucking out clothes or even attempting to edit out an unwanted ex.

For Patsy, leading the ‘Ex Eraser’ campaign is a means to demonstrate that breakups don’t have to leave you feeling haunted.

Whether it’s binning an old hoodie or using Galaxy AI’s Generative Edit to magically erase an ex from a photo, she maintains that the crucial thing is taking control of your memories.

The research also found 47 per cent struggle to come to terms with regretful decisions they have made in the past. Of these, 48 per cent dwell on ‘what if’ scenarios, while 37 per cent find it hard to forget things they can’t change.

Annika Bizon, VP of mobile experience at Samsung, said: “Our research reveals that 48 per cent of Brits have digitally removed traces of past relationships, with some even hesitant to scroll through old memories.

“With the Generative Edit feature […] you can effortlessly manage and curate your photographs, making it easier to move forward.”

King Charles spotted in London paving way for Prince Harry reunion

King Charles has been seen arriving at Clarence House in London – potentially paving the way for a reunion with his estranged son Prince Harry.

The monarch was seen leaving the RAF Northolt in West London at around 3pm today after travelling back to the capital from Balmoral, where he has been spending the summer. After driving from the private airbase with a police escort, the King set off for Clarence House, arriving at the royal residence at 3:46pm.

Harry visited Imperial College London today where he dropped in on the Centre for Blast Injury Studies, which he opened 12 years ago before heading out for another visit this evening – meaning there is a potential window of opportunity to meet.

The Duke of Sussex is expected to attend an event, linked to the Invictus Games, elsewhere in London this evening, giving the father and son a small window of opportunity to meet.

He is in the UK this week having attended the WellChild Awards in London on Monday night, before making a trip to Nottingham for a day of engagements on Tuesday.

Harry is set to stay in his home country until at least Thursday, and hopes remain that during his trip to the UK this week, he could meet up with his father, the King.

Sources have said there is a determination on both sides to make a meeting happen. Harry, who previously admitted he wanted reconciliation with his family, is said to be ready to ‘drop everything’ to attend a meeting. A source said: “As Harry has stated before, he’d love to see his family and be reconciled.”

However, both Buckingham Palace and spokespeople for Harry have refused to be drawn on when or whether a meeting will take place.

Father and son last met face to face almost 20 months ago when the duke made a transatlantic dash to see the monarch in February 2024 after hearing of his cancer diagnosis, but they spent just over 30 minutes together before the King left to recuperate in Sandringham.

Harry told the BBC in May that Charles had not been speaking to him due to his court battle over his security, which he lost, and that he does not know “how much longer my father has”.

The Duke has reportedly not been offered a place to stay at a royal residence and is staying at a hotel at his own expense during his trip to the UK.

Harry has also previously spoken out about his hopes for ‘reconciliation’ with his family after railing against them in his and Meghan’s infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey as well as in their controversial Netflix series and his bombshell memoir, Spare.

He said: “Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things.” Harry added: “But you know, I would love reconciliation with my family,” and said there was “no point in continuing to fight anymore”.

Meanwhile, senior aides to the King and Harry were pictured together in London this July in what was was understood to have been an initial step towards opening channels of communication between the two sides.

Bombshell changes to Hulk Hogan’s will revealed after bitter family feud

WWE’s Hulk Hogan was estranged from daughter Brooke in last months of his life and court documents has revealed bombshells about his will

Hulk Hogan, the WWE star who died in July, has left nothing to his estranged daughter Brooke, his will reveals.

In court files obtained by Us Weekly, lawyers for Hulk’s son Nick explained that Brooke was not listed as a beneficiary to his estate, which held just under $5million in assets. But this was her choice.

The will was revealed to have been amended four times. According to TMZ, Brooke has revealed that she was not in the will because she removed herself, fearing she would be caught up in a financial battle after her father’s death if she remained as a beneficiary. Brooke is reported to have requested to be removed from the will in 2023, which was the last time the will was altered.

The assets listed in the court documents included $799,000 in personal and intellectual property, $200,000 in cryptocurrency, and his right to publicity, which is estimated to be worth $4million. His real estate was not included in the documents filed.

Nick Hogan is the sole beneficiary of his father’s estate. Us Weekly floated the idea that the real estate left out of the court documents and valued at $11million may be controlled by a trust.

Hulk died aged 71 in July following a heart attack. His daughter Brooke revealed shortly after that she was not on good terms with her father at the time of his death, explaining that she “had to step away” in the final two years of his life.

Alongside all the assets Brooke could have inherited had she not removed herself from the will, there is reported to be an unknown value gained as a result of a potential medical malpractice lawsuit. This is being considering by Hogan’s widow, Melanie Sky Daily following a neck surgery she believes contributed to the former professional wrestler’s death.

Nick has filed court documents surrounding his father’s will and assets as part of an ongoing lawsuit to stop Todd Clem, who goes by Bubba The Love Sponge, from releasing a planned documentary about Hulk. Todd was a long-time friend of Hulk but his documentary is said to centre on a 2012 scandal where a sex tape of Hulk and Todd’s then wife, Heather Clem, was leaked.

Nick sued Todd over the documentary, claiming it violated an agreement made between Hulk and Todd in 2012. Ultimately, the judge found in favour of Todd, allowing him to publish the documentary if specific images from the tape were removed. Todd has always said he was not behind the tape’s leaking 13 years ago and that it was instead stolen by a former producer of his.

Brooke has confirmed that her father did not blame Todd for the leak. As quoted by TampaBay.com: “My dad told me all the way back in 2012 that he knew it wasn’t Bubba who leaked the tape.

“I remember asking him why they couldn’t be friends again after their settlement, but it was complicated. It makes me sad to think about it, but at least I can be here now.”
