Love Island favourite finalists could be in trouble as one of the most loved contestants was reportedly seen holing hands with a Traitors star at the National Television Awards

One of Love Island’s most popular couples could be on the rocks after reports of a fallout at the National Television Awards on Wednesday night.

Beloved Love Island trio Shakira Khan, Toni Laites, and Yasmin Petett all reunited at the 2025 National Television Awards with their partners Harry Cooksley, Cach Mercer, and Jamie Rhodes. However, while two of the couples were glued to one another all night, one couple were reportedly ‘distant’ from one another.

Yasmin, 24, and Jamie, 26, arrived to the awards at London’s O2 Arena separately with brunette bombshell walking the red carpet and posing for pictures before her other half had even arrived. An hour later, Jamie turned up on the red carpet with the rest of his Love Island gang as he posed for photos alone.

While Yasmin and Jamie were later pictured together, reports have now suggested that there may have been a fallout during the night as Love Island finalist Yasmin, who was recently signed to a top modelling agency, was reportedly seen ‘holding hands’ with a very popular Traitors star.

According to Mail Online, Yasmin ‘abandoned’ Jamie after the awards ceremony and he was reportedly seen searching for her at the star-studded afterparty. Yasmin, who was playfully given the nickname YasGBT thanks to her posture in the Love Island villa, is said to have been seen ‘holding hands’ with Traitors star Freddie Fraser, 25, during the afterparty.

A source told the publication that the brunette bombshell looked cosy with Freddie and is believed to have whispered in his ear: “We need to go somewhere private, no one can see.”

“Yasmin and Jamie weren’t together at the party a lot at all, compared to Harry and Shakira and Cach and Toni, who were glued to each other’s sides. Then I saw her holding hands with Freddie and pulling him away. She said, ‘We need to go somewhere private, no one can see.’ I was totally shocked because I loved them on the show and they seemed like the best connection,” the insider claimed.

At the end of the night, Jamie was one of the last celebrities to leave the afterparty as he searched for Yasmin and tried calling her but to little success.

It comes after Love Island fan-favourite Yasmin revealed last month that she and Jamie had not yet been intimate following their time in the Spanish villa. The ITV2 icon was heartbroken after leaving the show as her beloved cat Miaow Miaow passed away while she was filming.

After leaving the villa, she revealed: “As I’ve spoken about her on the show, I’m sure a lot of you will know I have a cat called miaow miaow who’s been by my side for 11 years now. When I was filming Love Island I had a bad gut feeling something was off and when my mum and sister came into the villa I asked them and still felt like something was off.”

Revealing that her family chose not to tell of her of the tragedy at the time and she was informed by her sister once filming had finished, she added: “Rightfully they didn’t tell me because I was still in the villa but after the final I called my sister and she told me that miaow miaow had cancer and died whilst I was away filming Love Island.

“I’m trying to be as active as I can on socials, but am taking time for myself to process this heartbreak., RIP to my beautiful baby girl, you were so loved and will always be in my soul.”

The star has been grieving the loss, and Jamie has been providing her with emotional support. In a recent interview, Yasmin revealed there has been ‘no rush’ in their romance.

“I’ve been going through grief and Jamie will just sit there when I cry on him,” Yas said to The Sun. “I’ve taken a lot of time to process my emotions, so Jamie and I haven’t been intimate yet. He’s so patient. He’s never rushed that, because he knows it will happen at the right time.”

The Mirror has approached Yasmin and Jamie’s representatives for comment on this story.

After reportedly breaking up for a second time, Love Island winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon now face their joint podcast, titled Liam & Millie, potentially being dropped

Earlier this month, Millie Court and Liam Reardon broke up for the second time. Now, there are fears their podcast will also suffer a blow and be axed as the exes failed to post a new episode.

Since its inception almost a year ago, Liam & Millie, the Love Island winners’ podcast, dropped new episodes every Tuesday and Thursday but fans have been left disappointed as a new episode failed to drop this week. The last episode of was released on September 4.

Fans quickly jumped online to speculate, wondering if the end of their relationship was also the end for the podcast. One commented their lack of surprise: “How will it continue? Unless they’ve split up and remained friends?”

The split was reported earlier this month. It appeared that the couple struggled with the long-distance between Wales, where Liam lives, and Millie’s home in Essex. A source told The Sun: “Millie and Liam have tried so hard to make their relationship work. But unfortunately, the distance was just difficult and they have sadly ended their relationship for a second time.”

The pair first split less than a year after they won the seventh series of Love Island in 2021, but confirmed they got back together in May 2023.

Millie appeared to find the split hard and friends revealed she was terrified ex Liam would appear on Love Island: All Stars. Given he went on Celebs Go Dating during their last break up, she was worried he would sign up for another dating show and she would have to see him on her screen.

“Millie has told pals she is really worried Liam will do Love Island All Stars in January, and she’ll find it really painful to watch,” the source said. “She’s convinced he’ll do it because she knows bosses will want him and after they split last time in 2022, he signed up to do Celebs Go Dating.

“She hated watching him dating girls on that, and she couldn’t cope with it a second time around. Love Island All Stars would be even worse for her, as the villa is where they met and fell in love. It would like a worst nightmare scenario for her.”

A friend of Liam’s has stressed that he is in no rush to head back to the villa or any reality show. “Liam isn’t even thinking about any other TV offers at the moment, especially dating shows,” they insisted.

“He kind of rushed into doing Celebs Go Dating after the last split and regretted it, so he certainly isn’t in hurry to go back to the villa.” But they also suggested he may change his mind: “That said, it’s four months away and a lot can happen in that time.”

The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner was suited and booted for a new Strictly Come Dancing promotional video, days after he stormed out of a roundtable interview to promote the show

Thomas Skinner has brushed his antics at the Strictly Come Dancing interviews under the rug as he filmed a video for the BBC show.

In the clip, The Apprentice star held up an ‘8’ scorecard while dressed in his casual clothes and covers the camera before it transitions to him dancing around in a glittering purple suit.

The 34-year-old controversial signing wore a blue silk shirt under the purple three-piece suit and danced around as the Strictly theme song played out. In the shared post between Thomas and Strictly, the caption read: “Did someone say eight days until #Strictly? BOSH!”

He wrote in the comment section: “Absolutely LOVING being part of strictly had so much fun so far and everyone is absolutely amazing!! Now let’s start dancing!! Bosh.”

It comes after he stormed out of Strictly’s roundtable interviews. The Apprentice star was being interviewed alongside the rest of the 2025 line-up by journalists at BBC’s Elstree Studios on Tuesday afternoon when he suddenly stormed out.

The contestant grabbed a reporter’s phone after being asked a question as they asked him to stop. He had arrived at the table of journalists with fellow contestant Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

While a female journalist had asked Skinner what had motivated him to sign up for Strictly, it felt the reality TV star realising that he was being recorded on a phone during the press event. “What’s that?” Skinner demanded, before picking up the woman’s phone and taking it from the table.

Tom recently responded to what happened in an Instagram post. He claimed: “To set the record straight of the back of yesterday. During one of the interviews, a journalist placed their phone on the table to record the conversation.

“I happened to catch a glimpse of the screen and saw numerous messages – not about Strictly but about a personal story from my past. I’ve been through some difficult times in my life, which I have worked hard to move on from. In that moment, seeing it there caught me off guard. I felt it was best to step away and gather myself.”

He continued: “This had nothing to do with Strictly or the interviews themselves. I’m sorry I picked up someone else’s phone and I don’t even know if the journalist realised their messages were visible, and I don’t want to suggest any bad intentions on their part.

“What I do want to say is how excited I am to be part of Strictly this year. I’m so grateful for all the love, kindness and support I’ve been shown so far. It means the world to me, and I can’t wait to give it my all on that dancefloor. Bosh.”

Netflix’s new romcom features various former child stars

Netflix’s latest romcom, The Wrong Paris, boasts a cast of former child stars that may not be instantly recognisable to fans.

The lead actress, Miranda Cosgrove, is best known for her role in Nickelodeon’s iCarly. However, some viewers might not remember Madison Pettis’ career-defining part in a popular 2000s comedy.

In The Wrong Paris, Pettis portrays Lexi Miller, a single lady who signs up for a dating show with the aim of winning over bachelor Trey (played by Pierson Fodé).

She shares the screen with Cosgrove, who plays the main character Dawn, another young woman who joins the dating show but with a different agenda.

When Dawn gets accepted into her dream art school in Paris, France, she realises she can’t afford the flight to Europe or sustain herself once she lands, reports the Mirror US.

So, the crafty artist applies for The Honey Pot, a dating series she believes is filmed in the city of love.

However, she soon finds out that The Bachelor-style show is actually set in Paris, Texas, which throws a spanner in her plans.

If Pettis seems familiar, you might recognise her from the 2007 comedy The Game Plan.

The film tells the story of an NFL player who finds out he has an 8-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

Pettis starred alongside Hollywood heavyweight Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who played the self-absorbed football star.

After this role, Pettis also appeared with Will Smith in the 2008 thriller Seven Pounds.

The child star has also appeared in films such as the religious drama Do You Believe?, Netflix’s He’s All That, and the 2023 Spring Break drama, Deltopia.

Her first film role in two years is The Wrong Paris.

Its synopsis reads: “A young woman (Miranda Cosgrove) joins a dating show thinking it’s in Paris, France, but it’s actually in Paris, Texas. She plots a way to get eliminated until her unexpected feelings for the bachelor (Pierson Fodé) complicate her plans.”

Other big names in the romcom include Emmy-nominated actress Yvonne Orji; Reign alum Torrance Coombs; Reginald the Vampire actor Christin Park; Madeleine Arthur from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before; and Emilija Baranac, best known for The CW’s Riverdale.

Myleene Klass and Holly Willoughby ditched the National Television Awards this year, instead choosing to join a mutual friend for her birthday drinks.

The two TV personalities were spotted sipping champagne at an exclusive new restaurant whilst the rest of the entertainment industry headed to the O2 for the awards ceremony.

Ce La Vi in London opened their doors to Myleene, Holly and their friends a day before their grand opening so that the group could celebrate a birthday at the luxury restaurant. In a post on social media, former This Morning presenter Holly and Myleene showed off their friendship group, filled with other famous faces.

Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton was also at the boozy afternoon, as were Laura Whitmore, Christine Lampard, former Sugababe Heidi Range and All Saints’ Nicole and Natalie Appleton.

The group had come together to celebrate a mutual friend Shiarra Ball, the Director of Artist Relations Universal Music. In the caption of one of her posts, Myleene said: “50 years on this planet and every one of them used to spread love. We’re lucky to have you in our lives.”

Holly’s appearance at the party followed a day of raising money at the annual BGC Group Charity Day. Neither she nor Myleene attended the NTAs. Myleene was not the only Loose Women panellist to skip the event. In fact, multiple panellists chose not to attend amid cuts to ITV’s budget.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Of course, many of the panellists don’t really feel like celebrating right now, they are months away from having the show’s budget slashed and many in production set to lose their jobs.

“It just didn’t feel right for many to attend a big, red-carpet event in the midst of all this sadness.”
